Tasty African Food in Barking and Dagenham

I am in love with the meat pie. And their services are great. I now leave earlier to work so I can branch in and pack remaining for me and colleagues. I do recommend 🙂👌💙

Tasty Africa has to be the first restaurant to expect you to pay for hot food, or they would literally serve a food that is cold from the freezer. It is bad enough that it means the food is not prepared fresh, but the audacity to turn a hot food into a premium service has to be the most ridiculous thing about that. They also expect that you pay for a bag for food or they hand it over to you. So, zero scores on presentation.

Drove from romford. Got there 3 past 12pm. Told food not ready. Wouldn't let me come in to see what is available and I could buy. Non chalant attitude on expressing driven to get this. Not worth going back if not on route to somewhere else. Poor customer service.

Home made food, the best Africa restaurant in the UK where you will have the real taste of African local delicacies.

Ordered from Deliveroo. The pictures are very misleading, I received one piece of fish wrapped in tin foil for about £4 when the picture displayed showed 3. The rice was fast however was only about half filled.

Ordered with uber eats, got 1 small piece of hard overcooked beef messily wrapped in foil for £3. The main meal was not fresh, its pre made who knows when, there is no date. Everything went to the bin. Disappointing.

The chicken pie is second to none.

First time ordering via delivero and in my opinion the food was very nice. The jollof rice, fried fish, fish pie, and puff puff was my order and I enjoyed every mouth full. No photos to show got carryed away with consuming the food.

I ordered different types of foods and snacks. They are delicious. However, all snacks delivered were over baked (too dry and brown)

Wonderful staff. I came here with my 5 year old daughter and baby daughter in a pram. One of the customers opened the door for me (as I was struggling to get in). My daughter soon started to complain of needing to go to the toilet; even though the sign said the toilets were out of order, the kind staff member allowed my daughter to use the toilet and watched the baby while I accompanied her. He was also very friendly to me and my daughter and provided excellent customer service. I left here feeling very satisfied and pleased with the service. I'll definitely return here again. Also, the food is absolutely delicious! 😊👍🏾

How can you run a restaurant without a comprehensive price list, no receipts, nothing really adds up. Don't these folks know they are in London not Nigeria. . They need to go for customer service training.

This is my second experience with this restaurant and it’s all been horrible. You NEVER get anything you order. Either items are missing or the food isn’t well packaged. Our ppl need to do well by respecting their customers. We see the Asians always ahead due to their quality of service. This needs to change.

Overcharged by the staff. Not the fist time either.. customers must check their bill before they leave the restaurant.

The food was not fresh. It was obvious that the food was pre packed ready for an order. The pounded yam was dry. I gave a 1 star as the delivery was done in 7 minutes of me ordering.

Great African food at a very decent price

If you love your meat pie (pastry), this is the place to go. They so other African cuisine, but their meat pie is hummmmmmm.

Best puffpuff ever. This is the second time at this green lane branch and it's been a great experience. The chicken pie is out of this world . Love the meat pie. I honestly prefer this branch to the Barking one.

Tasty has got the best puff puff. Hands down. Food is decent. Meat pie is awful.

Food is usually good. Staff are always welcoming but they need more staff to provide a quicker service.

I wasn't impressed. As much as I love Tasty's food, why must they put crayfish in everything (allergies)? That's why I'm giving 3 stars because I didn't get what I wanted, I got what I could get. Other than that, the food is really good, the staff are ok and the environment was clean.

Spent close to £20 here. I have visited the Woolwich & Barking branch for the last few years. Never in my life will I return to Dagenham branch. Food quality poor. Asked for pounded yam got semolina. Egusi stew was given to me frozen but When at home I defrosted it large chunks of egusi was burnt and so was the shaki. Only 2 pieces inside stew. For £6.50 that’s unacceptable. Fish roll was hard with minimal fish inside. Do better! Your other branches put you to shame!

The portion size has decreased greatly along with the quality of service. However, the price is quite good in comparison with some of the other West African food shops.

Polite staff. Now accepting card payment which is really helpful. Car parking is difficult in the area. Beware of enforcement cameras.

Take away restaurant that never pick up their phones? Hay, tasty, the food used to be tasty & good service. The recent changes is having a negative impact in the quality & customer service. Management, Please look into these

Great service but food is microwave and meat pie £1:20? Why?

Just bought some jelloff rice and beef ...when I looked in the container I only see 2 pieces of beef.Trust me when I say I won't be coming back. The jelloff rice doesn't even taste nice 😒

I always go to Tastys for my puffpuff, However I had a bad experience today when a frustrated waitress in glasses probably in her early or late thirties, whom I asked if I could get my puffs warmed rudely said "NO"! I would not be going there again, unless Chinwe my favourite waitress is working for the day.

Tasty African food, it ain't it is appalling and I threw it away. Smelt like microwaved Cat food. We're they having a laugh when they named it Tasty African Food?????

I always come to this restaurant today i came here and made a order and took it home to my kids . There was about 3 bits of meat . The rice was burnt . I spent £25+ . It was terrible !!
