Alhamdulillah, a warm welcoming service and a great dining experience. My father has hosted many family members at this restaurant since it opened. Today’s guest came from Newcastle, they were excited to have the ‘taste of tava’ experience! They described the food as delicious and said they would highly recommend the food to anyone wanting to taste authentic pakistani cuisine. The array of dishes available with the option of choosing individual spice levels meant everyone was able to have their personal preferences met. I occasionally order takeouts for my father now that his ill health means he’s not able to dine out as much as he once did. The chefs always make his food just the way he likes it. The good tasting food and the kindness of everyone at this restaurant makes it a positive experience. Thank you, sincerely.

First time trying the food at TASTE OF TAWA , absolutely delicious. I had ordered there THE MEGA MIX TAWA small was Perfect size for 2-3 ppl. The staff (uncles) were wonderful & helpful. Would definitely recommend this place.

Our first ever visit to Taste of Tawa, Journey through Kashmir. As a family we liked the food but the portioning could be better compared to the price, quality of chips and rice on Tawa could be better. There was No Kashmiri Pink Chai, even though it was on the menu and on digital display, a BIG turn off. "CASH ONLY PAYMENT." [NOT SURE IF THERE IS ANY CASH MACHINE NEARBY.] We loved the fact that they avoid serving boycotted (apartheid supporters) items on the menu. We would like to visit again. Hopefully they do serve what they advertise.

Lovely authentic south Asian food. Had the Mega Mix Tawa. Was a hearty, delicious meal and worth to have if coming to Luton.

We had a family meal on the weekend and the food was very tasty and fresh and everyone enjoyed it from young to old, great tawa experience!

Fantastic Food – Don’t Miss the Daal Ghosht! This place is a real gem! Their Daal Ghosht is absolutely top-notch—tender, flavorful meat cooked perfectly with lentils and spices. Every bite is rich, well-balanced, and just delicious. The restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere, and the staff are friendly and attentive. You can tell they put real care into their food, and it definitely shows. If you’re looking for something hearty and full of flavor, this is the spot. Highly recommend!

Great stop on our drive from Manchester to London

I normally don't write reviews but this restaurant was a disappointment to me. I ordered regular chicken tikka masala karahi, they literally served in a karahi that was a size of a bowl in which you eat pudding. Yes, the porton size was tiny, I felt like I ordered a baby food. The masala also felt the readymade ones from corner shop. it just taste thick tomato paste and chill, the chicken pieces were so small and was not even grilled properly. The dish as not even 'A' of Authentic. They have an open kitchen that was full of smoke and the ambience was dull.

Gajar halwa not worth the price, small tub for over £7, no sign of any nuts, no khoya, not much flavour either but have had worse in Luton. Channa saalan average, roghni naan chewy! Overall not a great experience. Thank you

The tawa at Taste of Tawa was amongst one of the best I've had and I've been to a few different tawa places across the country. The service was also 5/5 and they made sure to be very hospitable to my family. Overall, great atmosphere for a dining experience and would recommend to others craving tawa!

Food was tasty, but all the group was sick afterwards, beware, and no, our choice was mild, if you look at the 4.2 million views on my account, you will know my review is totally accurate, also my job for the last 4 decades has been to visit 1 or 2 food places a day, from Michelin star to your average restaurant, so I've probably been to more food establishments than you've made food.

The mighty meat tawa is the one to try great price for mix grill and chicken and lamb karahi. Very tasty would recommend this place freshly cooked food and great atmosphere.

One of the best food experiences in Luton. Very cleverly addresses the one downside of eating Indian/Pakistani food out is you can’t order too many mains without your food bill hitting the roof. The way they do their Tawas with the inclusion of literally everything (chicken Karahi, lamb Karahi, seekh kabab, mutton chops, wings, chicken and lamb tikka, pilau and chips and even daal!!! (Mash daal) and one of the best naan I’ve ever had in the UK) is awesome! Also literally everything tasted awesome! We got the small might tawa and it was absolutely divine!

Very nice presentation and food tasted very good although a bit pricey.Got the mega mix tawa which tasted good especially the chicken and lamb karahi and the wings. Good variety on the tawa.Service could be improved, kept having to go to the counter no one really checking on us but service was pretty quick and interior was very nice and clean.mango lassi was a let down , tasted too syrupy ,not fresh.

charged £24 for a mix grill. which included 2 seek kebabs 2 lamb chops and and a few tiny mosels of lamb and chicken pieces. wholly unacceptable for the price you pay!. quote literally not enough food for 1 person for a main meal. rip off - totally! Will avoid like the plague.

Absolutely amazing food, we had 4xl Tawas. The Lamb chops, Wings, Tikkas, and kebabs were cooked to perfection. Clearly use high-quality meat. The curries, fish masala, and Naan were sensational, and the presentation of the food was incredible. Mango lassi was so refreshing best I've had. Great decor and atmosphere. After a weekend away in Greece with my brother needed a local Luton curry house. Found a nice quaint local restaurant, we ordered a keema mutter with alloo 4 tandoori rotis a pilau rice washed down with a Mango lassi absolutely superb!! The keema was not over spiced for a medium curry and also not floating in oil! which is a great bonus! The tandoori rotis were baked to perfection not undercooked (making them doughy and not overcooked making them too hard). The pilau was fresh and traditional and the lassi finished off the meal perfectly!!! Overall great food, great place and a great atmosphere!!

Ordered three tawas for a party, amazing food, everything was delicious and the guests loved it all and asked where from. Generous portions and super tasty. Definetly will order again

Absolutely horrible curries we went in with large group with kids we were out on day trip thought we try something local big mistake some of us had bad stomach afterwards. It's not big and not child friendly we tried the lamb curry, aloo palak, and tawa which includes grilled meats they weren't cheap!

Mixed grill tawa was lovely! All grilled meat was tasty (especially the lamb chops and lamb cubes) Lamb karahi was my favourite Mango lassi was delicious 🤤 Would definitely recommend - we live in london and would definitely drive back here for this

The food was all really nice. We had the chicken karahi, maash daal, chicken chapli kebab and butter naan. Would recommend. Only down side was the portion was slightly (only slightly) smaller than expected

Went on a Monday evening, Food was good quality, only downside was the portion of the chicken karahi, it was on the smaller size, not enough for two people to share. No menus available, only a digital QR code, but with very little mobile signal had to use the wifi which was helpful. Staff were polite and welcoming. Will try out again in the future, definitely worth recommending.

This is the second time we've got a takeaway away from them. I have to say the food is amazing and authentic. I have struggled to find authentic food in Luton but am so happy that Taste of Tawa is my only go to place now. Have not eaten in the restaurant yet but fully intend to at some point. Everyone in Luton don't order your food from anywhere else only from Taste of Tawa.

I was recommended this place by a friend and I must say it was worth the travel and effort. They have place for car park (one) in front of the restaurant which is very helpful. Their ambience is simple and yet vibrant. Service was first class got smiles from everyone from chef to waiter to guy (Hasan) at the till. As we were walking out three guys including chef asked how the food was which goes to show how much they care about feedback. Hasan was extra courteous. Food on the tawa was very authentic Lamb Karahi 5 star ⭐️ authentic taste Chicken Karahi 5 ⭐️ not creamy at all and was very good Daal I would give more stars 5 star again authentic taste considering portion size of all of the above it takes real skill to bring unique flavours on one big tawa and still be able to distinct which is which. Real credit to chef. Lamb chops were actually lamb and not Mutton that’s a bonus and were just right not over over cooked or burnt and had smoky flavour Chicken wings same Chicken tikka very tender and moist and again had Flavour and not just orange food colour that mostly restaurant use to give it tikka look so very good. Lamb tikka was the best starter. Tender moist smoky and melts in your mouth Sheesh kebabs were the only thing I won’t give 5 stars to. In fact I won’t miss them if they were not there next time. Their sauces were absolutely amazing real skilled person can make those sauces. Hot creamy grainy yet not runny. Bit of lemon juice (fresh) would have made both sauces the best I have ever had but absolutely amazing effort. Best thing about all of the above is that everything made was unique flavour and yet had the authenticity of actual dish in them whether it was Karahi or chutney. Toilet was clean and tidy (did give feedback that a plastic water pot would be nice to have as there were only tissues considering Muslim needs) Overall after 1 and a bit hour drive from reading was absolutely worth it. Would highly recommend and would certainly come back with family. Suggestion to all I would ring them before going over and give around 40/50 minute to prepare the food as it takes time to bring all dishes on one big plate (tawa) so be mindful of timings and don’t go in extra hungry and expect the food to be served in 10/15 minutes which is reasonable time mostly. There’s plenty of shops around for wives and kids to be busy with before heading to restaurant and there’s huge masjid literally 4/5 minutes walk from restaurant. I don’t normally say this often however being there first time it was one of best restaurants I have been to. Credit to them all. Well done guys

I found this place and its staff to be somewhat dimwitted. I came in with my partner and asked for advice on servings. Every other restaurant can easily advise you but this place tells me a small is only this much. So I order a medium. Turns out a medium can feed 3-4 people, so clearly the con was on. I asked 3/4 times for jug of water, I guess if they didn’t get it for us, we would had reached for the fridge located right next to us for bottled or soda. Then as we was leaving I waited at the counter for the bill and instead the guy serves the person behind me. Of course I interject and he quickly tells me he will be with me in a second. I told him after that was rude and he said he wasn’t aware he was behind me. THE GUY who got served knew he was behind me but he thought clearly the owner wants to serve him first out of cultural respect maybe? The food was mediocre and had no flavour. We took most of it home but it will sit in the kitchen a day before going in the bin. Look elsewhere, not worth £57 …

The food was okay, was slightly disappointed as most starters had similar taste and there wasn’t that wow factor I was expecting, also drinks were very overpriced. The seating at rear was very tight and not comfortable if your eating with a family. The staff and service was good but very dissatisfied with the overall experience.
