Tasca Dali in Warwick

Lovely food, friendly unrushed service, all of the five courses were delicious, and alternative provided for the non-fish eater! We’ll be back when the menu changes in a month!

A visit to Tasca Dali is always an exceptional experience. The range of the dishes, the quality of the food, the attention of Jorge and the obvious passion they have for providing the best fresh produce cooked in the most interesting ways. We've been coming here for years and it is always top of our list for places to have an excellent night out in Warwick.

Great food and superb friendly service. Love the amazing flavours bringing the taste of Spanish tapas to a lovely new venue in Warwick. Eaten with the team at Tasca Dahli many times and never been disappointed. Well worth a visit for something a little different.

It is a small restaurant that offers traditional Spanish food with no shortcuts, colourings or additives, we really enjoyed the evening and will definitely eat there again.

One of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had! If we could leave 10 stars instead of 5, we would! 🤩 We visited Tasca Dali for the first time last Saturday, and wow—it did not disappoint. The service was so lovely, and every dish was packed with incredible flavour. You can taste the love and passion in every bite. If you’re looking for amazing Spanish food, this is the place. We can’t wait to come back!

Ate early on a wednesday but got so was quite quiet, but people started arriving while ch lifted the atmosphere.. the food was a tasing menu, with a good selection of beautifully presented food from a lovely vegetable soup and stunning sea bass(my favourite course!), all the dishes were explained as they came out and by the end we were properly full!! Highly recommended place to eat :) loved it :)

We were a party of 11, including 2 kids, and a mixture of dietary requirements. The staff quickly made it clear that everything was under control, and that all we needed to do was relax and enjoy the food. And that we did. Truly amazing 5 course menu. Nothing but glowing reviews from everyone, and if we ever find ourselves in Warwick again, this is where we'll be heading.

Was so I was looking forward very much to attending and having a lovely tasting menu on the 7th September 2024. I arrived at 6.55 p.m. and was shown to a lovely table at the front of the restaurant overlooking the street. This was good. Looked around the restaurant and the wall decor with Spanish canvasses was excellent, but the restaurant lacked something. It lacked warmth. The tables didn't have any items on, except a bottle of water. Where were the flowers or the "fake" candles? (H&S is important these days). It was not good. Ambience is cruicial. The restaurant was half-full at this time. A very nice lady who later told me she was the owner attended my table and chatted through how the servings would occur and was happy so far. 19.06 starter arrived. The starter was a lovely platter of Antipasto - very similar to what I buy in store at my local supermarket. The star of this platter was the potato cake and it was good. The rest was good, however, nothing more than I'd dish up for myself as a snack at home. 19.29 Soup arrived. It was nice - nothing wrong with it - sort of soup I cook up on a normal evening at home. Then the noise started. And quite rightly so, was told "it's a Saturday night and it gets noisy. This is true and one has to understand this and I do. It was extremely loud and the server had to shout in my ear as to what she was serving - it was unpleasant. But not her fault. 19.59 p.m. Mackerel arrived. The dish was ok - the mackerel same as I would cook at home. The one carrot and one petite corn on the cob was ok. The one potato I had so hoped would taste something like I would have in Spain but it didn't - sorry it was not good. It was edible but not good for a Spanish potato that deserved something better - we all deserve better and I felt sorry for the potato. By now I'd had enough - the noise was appalling due to a huge birthday party attending - not anyone's fault. But what was really annoying was the waiting for service which slowed to snail's pace. One can put up with noise if one is distracted by a really good menu quickly served. Hanging around waiting for the next course whilst having one's ear drums bashed was not good. At this point the 4 people on the next table decided to escape and left the restaurant without ordering anything due to the long wait. And I was waiving at the server to no avail to ask for the bill - I wanted to escape desparately. Took a while, but eventually asked for the bill - not wanting to continue this venture. The server shouted in my ear "it's Saturday night and very busy and noisy". Yeah right, so employ some more staff or reduce your covers, I thought to myself. So after much ado I got the bill, slightly reduced and then she did a runner! Come back! I want to pay and get of here. I feel like I'm inprisoned - I want to get out of here. I dashed after her to pay my bill and my card registered the payment at 8.48 p.m. That was 1 hour and 48 minutes for 3 small courses to my escape. You can tell by the photos it wouldn't take a decade to eat those portions. My relief on getting out the door was overwhelming. I bumped into the 4 peeps who walked out earlier and they said "you escaped then?" - these were regulars apparently from when the restaurant was at a previous site and they were not happy. I have a feeling that the change of venue has steered this restaurant away from their previous "good reviews" but I might be wrong, who knows? So to resume: slow service, ordinary food one could buy at the supermarket or cook at home. Like I say to friends, if you do your hair at home and then go to a salon and pay £50 you expect it to look be better than the home do! I expect the same from a restaurant and that I didn't get.

The most difficult review I've actioned for my visit to Warwick as it's not good. So Saturday night 7th September 2024. I did not have reply until the 6th September asking if I still wished to attend. In the meantime I had discovered internet booking - and took the opportunity to do so. Then had to text the restaurant to say I had already booked via internet. So not a good start. Taking 5 days to reply was not really good was it? Friendly staff, 5 course food lovely - plate of Spanish nibbles (small square of tortilla, cold meat, very tasty olive, 'crisps' and dips ) / a wonderfully spiced creamy soup / small piece of mackerel with sauce and veg / small rib of pork rib with sauce / cheesecake, pistachio sauce, flavoured cream). All small portions but we were satisfied with the amount. For people who enjoy really good food prepared freshly.

We enjoyed the whole experience at Tasca Dali. The service and food were excellent. The courses came out making sure we didn't feel rushed and could enjoy the evening. The staff were very attentive without being intrusive. Each course was well presented and tasted wonderful. We will definitely be returning.

Another fabulous epicurean adventure. Our third visit and another 5 gorgeous courses in a relaxed atmosphere. Busy midweek says something!

We took relatives here to celebrate a birthday, it really is a wonderful atmosphere here and we had 5 very tasty courses over the evening, staff were very attentive despite it being a busy evening and we all enjoyed the stay.

Best restaurant in Warwick!!! A really fun experience, great way to try new dishes and easy fresh seasonal food. Never been disappointed and Alex is a wonderful host.

The food was perfect, the accompanying drinks were lovely and the service was ace. Me and my other half had a great date. It really spiced things up not knowing the next dish that was about to come out. The fish was divine!

A truly exceptional restaurant! Warm and inviting, every course was well curated and felt special. The wine was complimentary and delicious and our waiter was so friendly and attentive. This a real diamond in Warwick- we look forward to returning soon!

Lovely treat dinner for hubbys birthday. Delicious food and wine and a lovely atmosphere.

It’s a crying shame as we love Spanish cuisine. We were there for 3 hours which wouldn’t have been so bad but waiting 1/2 between courses was ridiculous it’s was very acoustically as no soft furnishings to absorb sound. The food was average the wine was ok and fairly expensive all in all a poor experience so shall not be going back! They should also decide if they are a restaurant or brasserie

Food is fabulous and very authentic, we’ve been a few times now and it is really something special. The mystery of not knowing the menu adds to the thrill and has never failed to impress us with its variety.

We have eaten at Tasca Dali numerous times over the last few years and always had a wonderful experience. However, this visit, which was in their new location on Market Square was very disappointing and just not up to the standard we have come to expect. We were invited to arrive 30 minutes early to have a pre-dinner drink but the drinks menu was extremely limited and we had to ask twice before we got our drink. The service was really hit or miss - we had to ask for the wine menu back (as it had been taken off us to give to other tables!) and again the wine took a while to arrive. The food was delicious but I don’t think as good as before. Limited coffee menu for after dinner and no liqueurs so we left to have a drink else where. The whole experience just felt underwhelming and understaffed and the intimate ambience of the previous location has been lost. Hopefully this is just teething problems in their new venue.

Such a genuine delicious experience. As a non meat eater I have struggled during my own travels to Spain but here there is no problem as you are wonderfully catered for (request was made in advance) Each course was carefully planned, cooked and presented. The host clearly cares about what they offer, making good recommendations for the wine and a little background story about the vineyard. Discussing each wonderful dish to give a truly unique dining experience. In advance I had requested a fish and vegetable based menu as I don't eat meat and it did not disappoint. It was delicious. I can't wait to come again

Wow wow wow! Outstanding 5 course dishes and the best Spanish omlette I have ever eaten! The service and communication in booking was amazing. Alex is such a credit to Tasca Dali. He couldn’t do enough for us and is so warm and inviting. The atmosphere created whilst chatting and eating was so lovely in the new Tasca Dali venue in Warwick. Really good fun and friendly atmosphere

I thought the food was not so adventurous as expected, we had tapas, pasta, fish and meat and dessert. Well presented, Sangria was not on the menu and came in a water glass. Not sure its value for money. Very small place so gets super loud. It was a nice experience not sure I would go again.

Went here for my wife's birthday last night 31st May, and had a wonderful evening, food and service was excellent, also had a few dietary requirements which were taken care of! Would definitely recommend 👍

We had a big family get together here, such a lovely evening with delicious, authentic Spanish food. The service is excellent, and yes the waiting staff and chefs are actually Spanish! Jorge was very helpful with wine recommendations that didn’t break the bank too. Looking forward to visiting again soon in their new venue.

This place is so unique and has a wonderful atmosphere, we felt like we were in Spain! The staff couldn’t do enough for us. We 100% recommend if you are in Warwick and looking for something a bit different.

The restaurant is small and intimate and has a great atmosphere. The staff are very informative and friendly. We had a five course tasting menu and the dining experience is really relaxed. The food was excellent and the wine was delicious. Would definitely recommend.

If you fancy something different then this is the place for you. There's no menu so you get five delicious courses chosen and prepared by the chef. The food and venue both have a Spanish theme so it's very relaxed and informal with a warm welcome and first class service. On the evening I went the starter was mixed hors d'oeuvres of chorizo, serrano ham, tortilla, cheeses and marinated olives with bread and dips. This was followed by a sweet potato, butternut squash and leek soup with fresh coriander. The fish course was a seafood paella with sea bream, calamari and shrimps. This was followed by a tender and juicy breast of chicken served on a bed of mash with a romesco sauce. Dessert was a light almond sponge with cream, fresh strawberries and a caramel drizzle. I thoroughly enjoyed every mouthful and the portions were just the right size to be able to enjoy all five courses comfortably. There's a very good wine list but I went for the wine-pairing option and left it to the waiter, Jorge, to choose the wine to match the dish. Two of the wines and the liqueur with the dessert were new to me and very good indeed so it was good to get to try them. Next time I'm passing through Warwick I'll be dining here again.

Great little Tapas restaurant in the heart of Warwick. Have to compliment the team on both the service and atmosphere. We were welcomed and seen to attentively all evening. The wine recommendation was second to none (See the picture) definitely recommend. From the sharing starter to the soup to the black rice seafood course the whole experience of ‘eating what you’re presented with’ is perfect. No mulling over what to eat. Simple pay for 5 courses and sit back and wait for the taste sensation. Finished with the most perfect homemade almond cake which was that light I could have eaten the whole cake. Definitely recommended and we will 100% be visiting again. I would say that booking is recommended as it’s a small restaurant and from what we experienced VERY popular.

This was a great pleasure. You basically turn up at this plain but welcoming restaurant - and you are given a five-course dinner - hors d’oeuvre, soup, fish, meat, dessert - of whatever the chef has cooked. A most pleasant evening.

My friend and I chose this restaurant for our dinner date, eager for a unique dining experience. After perusing the glowing reviews, our excitement only grew. The restaurant boasts a stylish storefront with funky high tables at the front and more traditional seating at the back. Although the food was decent, it didn't dazzle us; both the soup and risotto were under-seasoned and, regrettably, salt and pepper shakers were nowhere to be found. However, the wine selection was impressive. The atmosphere felt a bit chilly, and the restroom could definitely benefit from an upgrade. Despite these minor gripes, the service was outstanding, and the dessert was truly spectacular.

5 courses of excellence. You don't know what you will be getting - but you know it will all be delicious and wholly authentic. My 4th time and I've never been disappointed. Simply the best tortilla I've ever tasted.

Hears about this restaurant and the fact that there is no menu, you turn up for 5 courses and get what you're given! Loved the idea of it and was not disappointed. The food was delicious and honest Spanish fair served in smaller portions so that 5 courses were enough. The service was fantastic with passionate servers and chef's at hand to explain the dishes. A lovely rioja matched well with what we had and the rustic charm of the venue added to the fantastic experience. One of the best meals we've had out for a long time and would definitely recommend. Just wish there was one were we lived!

Our first visit so didn’t know what to expect. The food was delicious, what I imagine to be homely Spanish cuisine. The staff were excellent, very attentive and very friendly. Great value, great atmosphere, we will definitely go back.

Tasca Dali, is a little peice of Spanish heaven located in Warwick Town. Five course of authentic Spanish food. The manchego cheese is the best I have ever tasted. Imported along with the Iberico ham. Salty savory and sweet absolutely delicious. Followed by chickpeas punctuated with small bites of chorizo. However the star for me was the black rice seafood dish incorporating prawns and calamari. Main course slowly cooked beef that melted in the mouth accompanied by delightful slices of potatoes lightly covered in the sauce. To finish creamy basque cheesecake with a redberry sauce. The service was first class. The ambience was wonderful. We shall return.

It was one of the best places we ate in the UK. Definitely we will visit again when the menu changes, I’m sure it will be just amazing as this one. They are using the fresh ingredients to prepare a 5-course menu. A cheese and deli board, lentil chorizo soup, sea food black rice, beef and potatoes, bask cheesecake. All was absolutely perfect. And the lady who helped us was so kind and friendly. 5 stars 🌟

The staff are fantastic. They want you to enjoy your visit. The food was delicious. As there is no menu it was lovely to just sit and relax as they brought out each of five courses. The portions are plentiful but not so large that you can't finish. One of our guests only ate chicken/seafood. I had completed the form at the point of booking. As soon as we sat down the staff asked who would need the revised menu. This gave our guest peace of mind that they were being looked after and their needs met. Where the menu had to be altered to their requirements the courses looked and tasted equally delicious. There was no compromise. We shall definitely be back.

Super service and a lovely selection of dishes, all prepared freshly and delivered with a Spanish smile! It was our first time last night and we thoroughly enjoyed the evening. The dishes were traditional Spanish dishes with regional twists. Our favourite was the caramel desert!

I went there with my wife for a night out recently. We hadn't been out just the two of us in quite a while. The restaurant was quite small, but cosy, and with a good atmosphere. The staff were very attentive and the service was first class. What is quite unique is that there is no menu. You just turn up, pay your money, and they give you a five course tasting menu (vegetarians catered for v well). It is all authentic Spanish food, and over the five courses there is more than enough to fill you up. I found the food was good, but not exceptional, and it certainly wasn't cheap (£125 for two with a bottle of wine). We both liked the place, and its authenticity, and I would certainly recommend it.

A great and unique experience where you are brought 5 different dishes with no menu. They do ask you if you have any dislikes when you book and again pretty thoroughly when you arrive. Price is pretty reasonable for the amount of food and number of dishes. Definitely authentically Spanish!

No menu, eat what's available. We had 5 courses and that was a bit too much, especially when you get two courses that can also be served as a main course. The location is a bit cramped and the tables are a bit small for 4 people, but that makes it cozy. The food is quite heavy, lentil soup with sausage, sea bass, chicken thigh with risotto, but also quite salty. Free water on the table, unfortunately from the tap, and not drinkable for me. Would I eat there again? Certainly, for variety this is a nice non-standard occasion and you can skip breakfast the next day.

First time visitors to this restaurant having moved to the area. Super local tapas place with authentic owner run vibe. Dishes were made on the day so no set menu, just pay for the 5 course tasting plates and see what comes up! Nice atmosphere and friendly staff, nothing to dislike. Recommended.

Last minute booking on New Year’s Eve due to the races being abandoned. Couldn’t have been happier, the food is fabulous as is the ambiance. Tiny restaurant with an intimate feel, no menus, food just keeps coming and every course was delicious. The staff are friendly and explain each course. Excellent! 😊

Brilliant Spanish restaurant serving authentic and wonderful food. Staff are so helpful and friendly, catered for a gluten free individual and a non-eater eater without any problem at all. Will definitely return.

Just WOW!!! We had a fabulous evening. The food was so good and lovely to see the chefs taking such a pleasure in creating each course. The service was excellent, everything brought to the table with pride and passion. Great wine and music!! Will definitely return and recommend!!!

Great Spanish restaurant in a good Warwick area. They have the best manager on town with the best chefs and the top wines unlike the others. The gastronomic concept changes every week so there is always an excuse to go and enjoy the food with a wine recommendation. 5 out of 5 ⭐️.

The best Spanish food I've had outside of Spain. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a taste of Europe. 5 courses, each as good as the rest, a mystery each month. Never fail to impress.

Lovely dining experience. The tasting menu was a surprise for us, but a good one. Lots of attention to detail and made to feel exclusive and treated very well by the waiter. Food was amazing. The courses were quite big, so be prepared and go hungry all day! 😅

We had a family meal last night and just wanted to say how much we enjoyed it. We had the five course taster menu and each and every dish was absolutely superb. The flavours were amazing and authentic. The food was cooked to perfection. We will definitely be back. Best meal out we’ve had in months.

Went for a family 80th birthday meal, with 3 generations. Everyone really enjoyed the 5-course tasting menu - varied, well cooked, well presented and just the right size portions. It's amazing what they are able to produce from a very small kitchen, which is just behind the bar.

Anniversary dinner. There was a 5 courses meal with a predefined menu so you can't choose what you eat . I liked the idea and wanted to try. It didn't blow my mind, the food was okay but I wouldn't go again. Nice atmosphere and our waitress was really nice. All in all not a bad evening.

We loved our evening at Tasca Dali. The 5 course set menu was excellent - each course so different but all extremely tasty. The beef was a little dry but it didn't detract because everything else was beautiful. The lady who served us took the time to proudly explain what we were eating and was very attentive without being intrusive.

We visited Tasca Dali yesterd for my birthday meal. It was absolutely delicious food and the top quality service. I normally don't eat much, but I ate all 5 courses with great pleasure! That says a lot about the food :-) Definitely will be going back and we would like to be our friends too.
