Fab place for craft ale and cider.

Had the BBQ Sharing Platter for 2 . Genuinely awesome food. Felt like what perfect BBQ'd food should be. Amazing condiments, which I believe we're made in-house. All Beer was locally made. (Don't expect a pint of Madri here) I recommend the Beach Lager if you want something on the lines of Madri. Neither cheap nor expensive but for the quality of the cook and the quantity of food it was worth it. Averaged around £30 each inc. Drinks I will be back for more!

Went for a meal here on valentines whilst on holiday, the staff where wonderful and had no issues with the taste of our food my only issue was the price for what you get we ordered a steak sharing platter and I don’t feel the price warranted the amount of food you got.

The best Sunday lunch we've ever had! I will be recommending this to everyone. We had the welsh rarebit flat bread and leek & cheese croquettes to start which were so tasty. For mains we had the pork belly and rump steak, the portions of meat are so generous and were full of flavour, all the sides were delicious too and roasties were perfection. Compliments to the chefs 👏 We can't wait to come back!

Clean establishment, good service, nice range of craft beers. Child and dog friendly. Burgers not served with chips, these are an add on. Burger was dripping with so much grease and was bland despite boasting good ingredients.

Good beer. A very tasty and generous roast served well. We'll be back.

Great food although the last meal just had which was the short rib was quite bland. The chicken thigh burger i had however previously was amazing. Certainly worth a visit for some smokey delights

Been waiting to try their Sunday lunch for ages and managed to go today , I can honestly say it was the best Sunday lunch I've ever had , I had the pork and my misses had the beef... BBQ'd , smoked , different to your average Sunday lunch ,it was bloody lush , like lick the plate lush 😋

Great rustic place for food last night, thoroughly enjoyed it, the meats and flat breads were delicious my only criticism was the new potatoes has a lot of spice on them, great for me, not so much for my daughter so the option would be nice. The selection of local ales and larger were good and experimenting until you had the right one. Definitely be back soon 👌🏼

Food was really great, can’t fault it. Atmosphere was terrible. Very loud drum n bass so couldn’t hear anything except for other diners shouting. Seating is uncomfortable reminded me of primary school benches which was also very sticky. Couldn’t pay with cash and had to order drinks at the bar.

Service was great, very friendly, and the beers were excellent (all by Tenby Brewery, bar one though)

Phenomenal. Faultless in every aspect. Great atmosphere, soak it up folks. Top-notch quality, spot on prices. This food is a labour of love, if you are hesitant then you don't understand the genius that is smoking beautiful Welsh produce, and creating epic BBQ. Will absolutely be back.

Best beef rib I've ever had about 5 years ago and went back this week for a sharing platter with the the wife, it did not disappoint! Some of the best slow cooked food I've ever had backed by cracking beers, what's not to like!

What a cool place! Great beer selection from Tenby Brewing Co., great BBQ food from Feast, and a really chilled atmosphere with a DJ playing some music. We shared a bbq platter for 3, and it was all delicious from the pork belly and chimichurri steak to the potatoes and slaw. The kids had the mac n cheese, which I would also recommend!!! We will definitely be back and have already recommended it to friends!

Food was incredibly tasty. Charging extra for chips was disappointing, which made the menu look more affordable.

We went in on a Friday afternoon and the place was busy with a lively atmosphere. It is very much a 'modern' craft beer venue with cold, fizzy beers. It is not a place for tradditinal cask ale lovers. It is also expensive (£10.55 for a pint and a small can of non alcoholic beer).

OMG!!! This place is incredible!! Huge portions, perfectly cooked. Homemade everything! Came as part of a big group and massively over ordered. Took it a home in a box for the next day!! Highly recommend the belly pork!!! Wow!!

Went to tap n tan for a family meal for my husbands birthday and must say we weren't disappointed. Service very quick and staff were all friendly and really helpful. We had the bbq sharing platter for 2 but they amended it so we could have it for 3. Food was so tasty and we would definitely go back again. We would also recommend it as one of tenbys must try places

Dreadful experience and would avoid at all costs. Never experienced such bad service especially for the prices they are charging. There were like 10 staff members standing around chilling but apparently I had to go to the kitchen to order food and pay immediately. To then have to go to the bar to order drinks to yet pay immediately again. Nobody came to see if everything was ok they just stood there taking the hole time we were there. So we hoped the food would be their saviour but unfortunately, it did not deliver what was promised. Half the meet was cold and the other half too hot to eat. Poor potion size for the prices. Really don’t know how they have had any good reviews.

Amazing BBQ food, the place is definitely a unique experience not to be missed...

Spot on brilliant BBQ. We had a sharing platter of wings, brisket, pulled pork, smoked sausage and as good a slab of BBQ pork as I’ve ever had! Sauces, pickles, potatoes and bread, all EXACTLY as they should be. Brilliant! And the beer is excellent too….. Friendly staff, music but not too loud even when sat beside the speaker, clean and tidy throughout we’ll be back to our new favourite place in Tenby ASAP!

Excellent beer and barbeque in a hip feeling location. Strongly recommended for meat fans. Note that orders are taken at the bar and the grill, rather than at the table, which seemed to be confusing some of the punters

We were really looking forward to eating at Tap and Tan, but unfortunately came away very disappointed. We’ve been to quite a few fire/bbq places, and unfortunately the food just wasn’t up ti the standard we expected. The meat generally was dry and a bit tough, which was really disappointing. The ordering system, having to go up to order food and drinks separately at different areas was a bit odd. For the price we expected a lot more. A real shame.

Came here on our week in tenby and visited mid week had the sharing platter with a friend and it did not disappoint. I will say though at £65 I feel like it is slightly overpriced

Incredibly good BBQ at a very reasonable price, excellent selection of beers to go with it. An absolute must visit if you like BBQ. Just gutted we live 170 miles away!!

This is a great place if your a meat eater, which is fine, two of our party were not, very poor veggi option and expensive.. If your after beer and meat this is the place to go. Unfortunately not for us All good restaurants should cater for non meat eaters in this day and age,. We were very disappointed tables also a bit of a squash

Amazing food, really enjoyed it and lived up to expectations. The service we received wasn’t pleasant, the welcome seemed almost as if they didn’t want us and ruined the night really. The service whereby the food and drink is also separate is a weird system.

A little disappointed with our experience at tap and tan. Walked in to find out that every table was reserved and we had to be squeezed in before a later booking. The beer was very nice but on the expensive side and they only advertised the 1/3 and 2/3 prices despite offering pints. I had the lamb burger which was nice but not amazing. Cheekily making their menu look more affordable by selling sides separately is also annoying. I just felt annoyed that when going to what I thought was more of a Tenby brewing taproom than a restaurant, I was faced with a place that only opened at 4pm and then was fully booked! I think a more drink friendly area would vastly improve the atmosphere of this establishment. Just my opinion though…

Two had the halloumi flatbread which were delicious , I had the pork bun which was so tasty. We also shared some small plates of their seasoned roast new potatoes, chorizo, Mac and cheese bites and their house slaw with warm dressing was stunning!!! The staff were so very helpful and friendly and you could try the different beers to help you choose from their amazing selection.

Tacos for two - looked like half a small cooked chicken from Asda, a small pot of coleslaw, a small pot of something else, four small sauces and six tiny tortilla breads, all for 40 quid. Disgusting! I was starving after it. Never going back that's for sure. Menu was terrible too

We visited twice the Tap & Tan but both times it was quite early and they were just opening so I can't really comment on atmosphere as it was just us in the bar. The service however was great and the staff very friendly! The beer choice is pretty good too, I think I counted about 8 - 10 different beers on offer. (I will note though I'm not sure if this place is owned by Tenby Brewing or not but the T-Shirts are about £3.50 cheaper in the actual brewery) This might be as this bar is independent I don't know but I just thought I'd mention that.

Not a fan of the environment, noisy and cramped and uncomfortable seating. Awkward having to go to the bar for drinks whilst you had to order on an app for food. The food was OK, although I felt was quite expensive. The pork could have done with a sauce as was dry without, and didn't seem good value for money for what was served. The platters for two were plentiful though and were very tasty, with a side of potatoes.

An experience not to be repeated if you enjoy a quiet environment. Noise levels extreme caused by building design and acoustics and thumping music. Staff very friendly but no service. The idea of having to get up for every course and go and pay is so disrupting. (Unable to come to the table for payment as one owner runs the drinks and the other the food). You have to serve yourself if you want wine or water! The positive. The food was excellent if not a little quirky with cold vegetables as an accompaniment. Such a pity. With a different atmosphere and change of dictat it could be successful. Will watch carefully. Tenby resident but probably a little too old to appreciate new ideas!

Disappointed last week when we turned up. Wouldn't put the FA cup final on for the customers. We took our business elsewhere. Preferred this place before when not many people knew about it. Hard to get a table these days and food gone too expensive.

Although the food and beer was really delicious and the staff were lovely, the ordering process leaves a lot to be desired. Having to order on your phone when there is very limited service in the area provides for a frustrating start to the meal! You also have to order drinks at the bar, which when going for a nice meal with family really takes away from time together. One of our party was waiting for drinks while a barrel was being changed, as drinks are unfortunately not brought over to your table. I feel that the opportunity to upsell is missed - if service was at the table we would have bought a few more rounds of drinks and potentially dessert. Can’t fault the food though, the food was really outstanding.

Probably the best beer in Tenby.

The food was super tasty. Brilliant. Chicken Platter for 2 was about the same size as a similar menu that we had ordered in another pub for one person and at half the price. In addition, the order could only be made and paid for online. One star deducted for these two reasons.

The father, son, and holy spirit of barbecue food. I’m a big guy you know? I like to eat. Didn’t come to make friends. However, not only did tap & tan push my stomach to the absolute limit, I was also greeted with lovely staff, a great selection of boozy and non-boozy drinks, and a fun atmosphere! Only critique is that they haven’t opened a second branch next door to me yet - sort it out!

Honestly shocking, I’ve never been so underwhelmed by food. Tasteless food, shocking portions, bland and boring. I’ve eaten in a lot of restaurants in my time and rarely bother to leave a review as normally agree with the comments, but this I just needed to put the record straight.

Sharring platter wasn't the same as the menu or photos. At £65 we expected better

Popped in and was really looking forward to it. We were bitterly disappointed. The steak sharer was so small for the price. The other sharer well, the chicken wings were not cooked through and the pulled pork was so watery. Absolutely gutted and won’t be returning.

Great range of food and beer, just wish the beer was available to order online as well as the food.

£18 for a burger with 3 small slices of chewy meat. Chips cost extra. 😵‍💫 £7 for a sausage. £5.05 for a 330ml bottle of coke. Overpriced food and drink.

Tried here after watching a video online about it. We had a table booked for 12pm and the doors opened bang on 12pm. Obviously by the time people were seated, menus given out and then wenhad qued to order food it was around 12.15pm. We ordered the Tomohauk which we was told would take 30 minutes. It did take more around 45 minutes, which doesn't bother us as the meat was outstanding. The only difficulty is that the table have a 1.5 hour limit. Wo we had just finished food when we were (very politely) told our time was up. I was looking forward to trying their deserts but couldn't duento the time restriction. This would not deter me from coming back. Food was outstanding. Plenty of sides and lovely atmosphere

Lovely little craft brew and eatery spot in the heart of Tenby. Plus it's dog friendly! 🐕 we had the pulled beef bun and that was incredible. The mac and cheese was tasty too. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Great craft beer selection, albeit a small one.

Amazing quality food and drink. Came in for Sunday Lunch, and the 3 of us had the Beef Dinner. Veggies were absolutely incredible! However, as the meat is cooked Rare-Blue, 2 of our party were unable to eat the meat. Completely understand this is just our personal preference - all that needs to be done, is mention that the Beef is cooked Rare-Blue on the menu. Had we known, we would have ordered something else off the menu. Like I said, the cooking of the meat was our personal preference, hence still the 5 star review, as we recognise it was good quality.

Called in for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Freindly staff from the Tap & Tan crew made us feel very welcome. I had the lamb special of the day and my wife had the mushroom & flatbread option. Both delicious and will definitely be returning soon

My new favourite bar in Tenby! Delicious beers brewed locally chilled atmosphere, a good cross-section of people and, Friday being steak night, the best steak I have had in years. No, really. Will be going back.

Unreal roast dinner - huge portions, properly delicious. Cannot believe the audacity of an automatic service charge when you have to order food and drink separately from the bar, and have grumpy servers giving you attitude.

Tasty beer with lots of variety. We went for the beer but also got some food. As vegetarians we weren't sure what to expect but the veggie options were AMAZING.

As a veggie, I was a bit nervous about a "fire cooking" venue, but the veggie options were well thought out, creative and full of flavour. In a town where veggie options can be a bit samey, this place stands out.

Love this place! Craft beer on tap and the most delicious food, even for vegetarians. Please open one in London x

63 years old, eaten at the Dorchester grill, the ritz and Gordon Ramsey in London this is quite possibly the best food I have ever eaten out in my life, belly pork and roast potatoes to die for, hats off to these people this food is something else, if your looking for the bog standard lasagne ,curry, mediocre steak, fish pie pub food etc, please don't come here, this food is on a completely different level, absolutely outstanding.

We had a takeaway from here whilst we were staying in Tenby. It was really delicious food, lots of different flavours going on. The portion sizes were very generous and worth it. Only popped in to pick it up, but the staff were friendly and helpful.

This has to be the best place in Tenby to eat and drink beer. The beers and food were so tasty! I don’t eat much meat so I had the halloumi flatbread which was gorgeous! My husband had the beef bun which was even better 🤤 I highly recommend this place. P.S they have other drinks like cider, wine and sodas

Had a huge and delicious Sunday lunch at a very reasonable price! All washed down with a nice glass of Tenby Brewery beer!!! Will be back again soon!

Best Sunday dinner ever! As a veggie most Sunday dinners are a bit boring but tap&tan’s take was incredible, full of flavour and massive portions. Their regular menu is also top notch🤤

Went here this weekend, very friendly and welcoming and the food was amazing. Great place for casual food and drinks.

Fab staff, very helpful and knowledgeable about their beers. The food was delicious! They’re dog friendly too, our pup slept on the bench for most of the time. We had a lovely evening, can’t wait to visit again soon.

This place is a must if you're in Tenby. The selection of beers is brilliant, and the food was something else. The meat was all cooked to perfection. The atmosphere is really lively too. It's a great night out.

Very unusual place only had a drink

Unfortunately 5 out of Ten of us had the steak burger. There was too much fat and gristle in them. The other 5 meals were good. I think I'll try the pulled pork burger next time.

The atmosphere was amazing and the staff were very nice. The food was sensational and the beer was the icing on the cake definetly going there again.

Glad we found this bar, if you like tasting ales they do flights so you can have 3 x thirds of a pint so you have a taster of 3 ales. Worth a visit.
