Wide selection on menu, great food and quick/polite service. Seems to be new people running the place it was nice before but even better now

Tired of the same old "chinese" food spots which offer little more than sweet and sour chicken and noodles? This is your place to try. The menu is wide and rich. I recommed tofu in black bean souce, green beans and aubergine, and fried dumplings. To drink, why not try a cold can of "tea"?

Foood was delicious. Super authentic so loads of things to try. Very reasonably priced and the staff were wonderful. Must try and we will definitely be back. Not sure how the rating isn’t much much higher!

I had pork and mushrooms! I'd say over sauced , if it's the right word prawns fried rice was very nice I couldn't eat because the sauce was been gross liked the place otherwise! Really good people Portions are fine! and there is no card payments , that's a con !

Ownership has recently been changed, they changed mene and all the ingredients, not as good as before anymore and doesn’t worth the money. Won’t be there anymore. Bye Tang Chinese

The boss and chef have changed, and the food is terrible. This grilled fish was so fried that it was so hard that it couldn’t be pinched with chopsticks. . . . . The whole restaurant is changed, bad food. the grill fish is deep fried...hard as hell....

The food tastes terrible, and it was served without any care at all. The most disgusting thing is that the service attitude in the store is extremely poor. I have a bad face the whole time. I have to be careful even when I ask them to serve.

Chinese food, excellent, braised pork knuckles, spicy beef brisket are very delicious

We are very unhappy about our experience at this restaurant- both in terms of food and service. There was only one other couple in the restaurant when we got there. Firstly we asked to change a couple of veg. ingredient included in a grilled fish dish and they were funny about it. The server asked in the kitchen and they eventually agreed to do it (while assuming we wanted to change due to allergies but never said that), then the chef and manager started complaining about having to change the ingredients which we could easily hear- so rude! They did change the ingredients in the end, but their attitude was so bad. If they couldn't change the ingredients, fine, but to complain about the customers within earshot of them! Secondly, when the food arrived, the grilled chilli fish wasn't good- dry, not fresh, not any flavour except salty. But worse than that, the pork mince noodles tasted off, not sure what ingredient in there was off exactly but we both felt upset stomachs later. We informed the server who took the dish to the kitchen. The chef tasted the dish to check it and- wait for it- brought the same dish that he tasted back to the table for us to eat after saying that there is nothing wrong with it and it 'just tastes like that'. They just left the noodles at the table and no further action. Unbelievable. Also, went to pay with cash and we didn't even get the 10% discount even though the server had confirmed that we could get it. Shocking stuff, stay away.

They're closed for Christmas, but they're still open on Google Maps, and I've come from Nottingham . I came all the way here and was disappointed to find out they closed ,very tired and angry！

We ordered Chinese tea for 2.2 pounds and were served a pot of tea along with a cup. Since there were two of us, we requested an additional cup. The store informed us that the tea is charged per person. Therefore, to get an extra cup, we needed to pay an additional 2.2 pounds. In the end, for the Chinese tea, we paid a total of 4.4 pounds, but only received one pot of tea and two cups. This seems a bit unreasonable. If we're paying for an extra portion, we should receive an additional pot of tea, not just an extra cup.

This restaurant has been here for a long time. Its menu presents authentic Chinese food (not the westernised kind) illustrated by pictures. The food I had was delightful. I wondered why I didn't try this place earlier. The restaurant was not busy, so the serving was fast. For people who are curious about what people actually eat in China, this is one of the good places to try and enjoy.

I admit that the food at this place is delicious. However, they engage in fraudulent practices when it comes to charging. The cash register clearly indicates a 10% discount for cash payments, and I even personally confirmed this with the waiter. But when it came time to pay, they suddenly informed us that certain dishes were not eligible for the discount. This detail was not communicated beforehand, and the waiter was well aware that we had specifically gone to withdraw cash. I am extremely angry. I advise everyone not to come here for dining; they lack integrity. They have brought shame upon themselves in front of the Chinese people.

I had ordered a takeaway here a few days ago, the food was expensive, production was slow and they got my order mixed up, they gave me a fried rice instead of what I wanted.

Well taste and ambience wise it's really good but making the waiter understand what we want is really difficult . Waiter doesn't know English . A fellow customer had to explain in Mandarin on what we were asking for .. other than this had a wonderful meal

I had a hot and sour soup and a fried rice. It was delicious and the quantity in the plate was worth it.

If you don’t speak mandarin DO NOT come to this restaurant. I went there 3 times ( because of friends) and no joke the 3 times they got our order wrong. This last time I had to pay an extra 15 pounds for a mistake the waitress made and she doesn’t speak much English… staff very very rude. Always understaffed. The food is ok , probably 6/10. Just not worth it!! Coventry has a lot better Chinese restaurants. Do not recommend. Ohhhh and the bathroom is absolutely disgusting and has spiders

We stuck out like a sore thumb as the only non-asian couple in the restaurant full of happy Chinese diners! But this proved that it's where you'll find very authentic Chinese cuisine. The menu is vast, with so much to choose from, some of it a bit alien to us westerners, it was a bit overwhelming to be honest! But what we ordered was really fresh, delicious and definitely authentic, the portion sizes were good and the overall price was very reasonable too. A very enjoyable meal.

Without doubt, this is my family's favourite restaurant. Great food, authentically Chinese, very affordable and always friendly staff.

This place is a total RIP off, I was charged over £35 for a meal for one. A total disgrace, I would never go to this place again.

Beautifully presented restaurant for me and young lady greeted me with an even more beautiful smile. They were closing but a little flirting got me a table and soon I was chowing down some braised lamb in cumin and chilli. Delicious! Very happily recommended as the menu is based around authentic Chinese cuisine. If you like frog casserole then this is your place to eat. Chef said "Sayonara" as he left...

Nothing available, dirty glass. Waiter doesn’t know anything about the menu. No glass offered for my green tea which came in a bottle not a tea pot. Random people coming through the door and offering us menu although we’ve been poorly seen to already. Terrible

The food was excellent and despite what many of these reviews say it is a nice place to be. It is an authentic Chinese restaurant including the style of serving. It is well worth trying, you just have to be comfortable just asking for what you want and not expecting western style hospitality. The staff may not be the best English speakers but for those who seek something a bit different and not watered down this is all part of the experience. There are dozens of "Chinese" restaurants and takeaways in Coventry but this is one of a very small minority that provides real and VERY good food.

Very authentic chinese, service wasn't amazing but the food was. Having lived in China, we really enjoyed the food, especially the cumin beef, ma po tofu, spicy green beans, cha-siu pork fried rice and of course the jiang jiaozi's 😋. Travelled 1.5 hours to come here for the second time and we weren't disappointed.

Fantastic food, love it every time we come

The dishes range from mediocre to bad and as my Chinese friend assured me, they are not 100% authentic but close enough for UK standards. The staff members are a bit unfamiliar with working in a restaurant, since one of them was eating soup on the till while watching videos on his phone with the speaker on and at some point we could hear the kitchen staff burping. The waiter gave us no napkins and the wooden chopsticks he gave us were washed, so they had absorbed water and they had an unpleasant wet feeling in our hands.

Really nice food here and a great place to relax with friends, enjoyed it very much and would recommend anytime. The Food is very well cooked and delicious. They also do takeaway if you live local in Coventry. Five ***** stars from me thank you.

Poisoned our 5 year old son and husband...projectile vomiting 6 hours after eating at this restaurant. Wrong orders and rude uninterested staff. Avoid.

As a chinese person, this restaurant has the most authentic, delicious and affordable Chinese food in the whole of Coventry. I can’t believe this doesn’t have a higher rating!!

I went with my girlfriend and they gave us one menu. I asked for another and they said no, there's only one menu. I had to order 3 times because every few minutes they came back to tell me the thing I originally wanted was sold out. When the food did come it wasn't what we ordered.

I have to say the food is good no doubt about it but I’m really disappointed with the service from the female staff there Who literally doesn’t treat Customer in a friendly manner and when we request for tissue her response was it’s located there so go take it. Never seen such attitude. Hopefully she will treat everyone with respect.

Excellent food, highly recommended if you like authentic Chinese cuisine. Service is a bit lacking, especially if you don't speak a lock of Chinese but I've come to expect that from more authentic Chinese restaurants. The food makes up for it easily.

The one star reviews are prob written by English people that want sickly 'Chinese' sweet and sour balls. This place is full of real Chinese that want authentic food. Try it

Couldn't give me a good vegetarian option - said there wasn't one! Ordered soup with pak choi and rice and got Chinese cabbage and noodles... friend got gross looking chicken...

Delicious food! Great choice of authentic chinese dishes. Fresh ingredients, tasty sauces and friendly service. We will be back :)
