This restaurant was a new experience and one I won’t repeat. The food was well below par. Tandoori chicken was supposed to be two breasts but it was one breast and one leg, both small, dry and not much meat. Dry tasteless rice and very oily sauce. I won’t comment on the others dishes as it’s a personal opinion.

Great meal. Four in our party and everyone’s food was excellent. Nothing overcooked and all came piping hot to the table. The naan in particular…often can arrive to the table warm but doughy..not here, it was excellent and light. I did think the price for popadom and dips was a bit pricey at £1.95 for one popadom and £1.95 for each dip although when they arrived they were sizeable. Other places I’ve been give complementary popadom and bring a pile to the table. Anyway that didn’t spoil our visit. Only thing - our table was a bit small for all the plates that arrived. We came here because our usual place was shut….I’m thinking this might become our usual place!

This was our third visit to Tandooriwala & yet again, excellent food was served. We highly recommend the mixed Thali. The service was exceptional. It was our 23rd anniversary & when we arrived we were very unexpectedly greeted with a table decorated with pink & white confetti, a lovely bunch of flowers & a beautiful card from all the staff. Felt so spoiled. Thank you so much to all at Tandooriwala. We will see you soon 🥰

Fantastic food. We had the Egyptian Kebab and the Garlic Bhuna with spicy chips. Absolutely delicious. The spicy chips had a nice kick to them and the portions are good. Recommended 👍

Delivery order Ordered food this evening and was very disappointed with the vegetable thali. A thali is supposed to be a curry with some well thought out side dishes to accompany it, usually with rice and a chapati. This one was 4 curries, an inedibly undercooked chapati and lovely rice. The vegetables were all like mush, really overcooked. The jalfrezi was just tomatoey much, no spice and loads of food colouring. The other curries were pretty bland too. I've called the restaurant as didn't just want to leave this review, to be fair they were very receptive to the feedback and did offer to re-send, or send another evening, but it would have been the same, so I politely declined, but 10/10 for customer service. Have to say on balance that the onion bhajis, chicken bhuna and rice my husband ordered were nice, but a zero on the veggie front which is a shame.

Went here for a breakfast but got delayed so had to choose from the lunch menu which really worried me. Firstly, the "Wee Kitchen" is on a caravan site, so I wasn't expecting much. Secondly our waiter seemed a little unsure. Thirdly, I have food intolerances but my daughter has severe allergies and worries about eating out. I should not have worried! The waiter was just making sure of our choices before the chef came out and spoke to all of us, assuring us that she would find us all something to eat. She was so good, taking fully 10 minutes to ensure all of our needs could be addressed that my daughter ended up having a cauliflower bhuna and cajun fries. She never eats like this outside our home. I had a nasi goring which was stunning. Our partners had a battered fishfinger sandwich, which was in fact haddock gougons handprepared using shetland fish, and a speciality pulled pork pie with apple sauce and stuffing. This last delicacy looked like it could be a main attraction at a medieval banquet and tasted positively regal. To be honest, I can't say enough about the quality of the food and service. The price was extra ordinary - 4 main meals, 3 coffees, 2 teas - amazing care and detail - grand total £43!! The chef told us that if we book in advance she will ensure vegan bread is available. Currently she has a full gluten free menu available, but gluten free, dairy free and vegan is a really specialist item! This is rarely catered for anywhere in my experience. I have experienced this level of care before only 3 times, once in a 5* Hilton, in the executive lounge, once in a Michelin starred restaurant and once in a highly commended restaurant. This is how we were treated in a caravan park cafe. Miss this gem and you will regret it!!
