Amazing food, staff and great price.

Wasn’t expecting to write a review, but the the overall experience turned out so good, that I decided to leave one. Meal was absolutely delicious! We started with two appetisers, and absolutely loved it. Food was fresh, the sauces we were given really complimented the dish. The mains were perfectly flavoured and really filling. After the meal we couldn’t manage to get to the desserts because we were absolutely full but next time we come we will definitely try it.

When we came in, I think the owner saw that I was heavily pregnant so he offered us a different table so I would have enough space and be comfortable. That was nice of him 😀 All the food served was hot and freshly prepared. I found the okoy and ube halaya yummy, and crispy pata as the best from what we’ve ordered. The bbq, for me, was expensive for 2 skewers and thinly sliced chicken. The lumpiang shanghai was okay. The biko I think lacked sweetness and coconut flavour which I found disappointing as it’s my favourite. I found it weird to be served with ice cream, but it was okay. Staff members were young and helpful. Parking was good and plenty of spaces outside. Toilet was kept clean. Overall, our experience was good. It was quite busy as it was a weekend and our mains took quite long (I’m guessing because of the crispy pata). With 3 starters, 2 mains, 2 desserts and 1 cordial drink we were charged £68 plus we gave optional service fee as it was not included in the bill.

5/5, amazing little place hidden away, but it's definitely worth finding! The whole menu has an amazing array of dishes, I wish I could have tried it all. I ordered just a main, Crispy Pata, only the one dish because it was a huge portion (there is your pre warning) but 10/10. The side of atchara pickles, paired with the garlic rice and succulent pork topped with a crispy fried skin was to die for. I will definitely be visiting again when I am next in the area.

Foods was awesome place just average service was ok but need a little bit efforts to smile and be friendly the price wasn’t bad but you are required to give them a tip for £2.50 i was actually said goodbye but the male server snobbed me that needs to be improved!

Had a lovely family lunch with a range of tapas. A nice feature was that the tapas were not all served at once, which made for a better experience.

Utterly delicious. Even the plain rice was tasty. Great varied choice for the mains and the small plates looked interesting "for next time". Portion size was perfect. Service was great. Would prefer it if the lighting was brighter, but I think that's me. Definitely an "Arnie"

Fabulous From the moment we walked in, to the moment we left. Everything was perfect. We ordered 3 of the small plates/starters, 2x mains and 2x desserts. Everything tasted delicious, authentic and fresh. It reminded me of being back in the Philippines and I definitely will be back. My favourites from today were lumpiang shanghai, BBQ skewers and the desserts! Bico and Ube. Which are normally served with ice cream but I asked for without, so the photos show no ice cream. Maraming Salamat Po! I will be back for sure. Thank you xxx

First time here, although we struggled to find the entrance to start with when we were finally inside it was a lovely small hidden gem. Great food, great atmosphere and lovely friendly staff. Can tell each plate was cared for and fresh. Definitely will be coming back!

Excellent food made to order. Very tasty hot and plentiful. The service was also excellent and we highly recommend the hidden the gem!

The sisig starter was far too salty. The pancit gulay was nice but could perhaps do with some tofu or veg alternative. The ube was amazing. Customer service was a bit weird, they just didn't feel very hospitable or attentive to customer's needs. It feels like you were going to your grumpy uncle's house for lunch where you had to ask for every little thing you need like spoons and sugar. The ambiance felt like it was done on a tight budget. In my opinion it's quite expensive as a whole.

Smashing food, great atmosphere, very good service. Really, all you can ask for in a restaurant. Definitely recommend! Went back again, and was unfortunately decidedly disappointed. Had the deep-fried pork. Was just a massive lump of pork, and some rice, with a couple of dips; nothing else. No flavouring, or sauce or anything. Had to eat the rice dry. Definitely don't recommend that.

Been a couple of times, such an amazing & well hidden little gem of Kenilworth. Food is AMAZING!

Don’t be put off by the exterior, the food here is amazing. Visited with work colleagues having randomly picked it off Google. None of us had eaten at a Filipino restaurant before and it didn’t disappoint. All of the dishes we ordered were really tasty and despite what others have said the portions were decent too.

I had adobo although it was excellent was not traditional adobo as in restaurants in the Philippines

We went here for a special birthday and it was wonderful. Some reviews note a lack of spice, but for us, that indicated that this restaurant stuck to its roots rather than had gone completely fusion. It is very hard to find Filipino food outside of London and it has lots of flavour but is mild! We avoided gyozas and teriyaki dishes (the restaurant tries to cater towards different tastes), and stuck to the traditional ones I remembered from visiting family in the Philippines. The tapas is like the street food you get. The bbq skewers and lumpia are delicious, with the kids finally understanding how springrolls are really meant to taste - light and packed with flavour. The mains are similar to dishes you share at a family feast, and the portions here are large enough to share. The crispy pata is exactly like the one I had in Batangas and easily feeds a family of 4 (2 adults, 2 children) when had with other dishes like Adobo and caldereta - masarap! So if you want to try something different, leave preconceptions at the door, imagine being transported to a tropical island (the palm tree decor and friendly owners helps with this), and enjoy the local food. You won't regret it and I'll be back to try the pancit!

My wife and I had an excellent dinner here. Starters, main course, and dessert were all delicious. I had the Crispy Pata and it was excellent (Very sizable portion too!) and my wife had the Tori Kuwayaki which she also really enjoyed. Great atmosphere, really nice sitting outside on a warm evening. The Ube halayang dessert was especially good as well! We will definitely be back!

Came here with my family for their first taste of Filipino food, and wow it didn't disappoint. The chef really knows how to deliver the most spectacular Filipino dishes. "Masarap' our kids.loved their cute outside garden terrace too. We'll be back soon.

Still amazing, still our favourite eatery in Kenilworth. Go there, you won't be disappointed! Feels like a hidden gem! Randomly found it after trying to google Filipino restaurants one day lol. Highly recommend the kaldereta and chicken skewers, juicy and savory. The chicharon w/ vinegar dip was great too! The couple that owns the place are lovely 🥳

Visited quite a few times now with friends, and the staff are always very friendly and attentive, the food is just brilliant and we often order the entire menu to share between the group. Very reasonably priced and I’m looking forward to returning next week!

Friendly staff and tasty food. Had a mix of small bites instead of a main. Ordered four bites but portions are generous and I couldn't finish it all. Although I did manage a delicious chocolate brownie for dessert!

Had a delicious meal here this evening. My sister and I shared some small plates - they were all very tasty and good portion sizes. Due to the nice weather, we were even able to dine outside. Great value for money and will be back!

Fantastic service me and my family went there to eat, food and drinks were quick even though it was busy and we had a large table. The young waitress Victoria that served us was friendly and provided great recommendations. Can't wait to go again

Genuine Authentic Filipino Food.

Me and my partner visited Tambayan this afternoon. Mixed experience honestly. The atmosphere is nice and the owner, as well as the kitchen staff, are very welcoming and accommodating. Starters were really good (especially the Gyoza). Hot and loads of flavour! Main courses, unfortunately, weren’t great. We had a chicken curry and some beef, fried eggs and rice. I thought the curry lacked a lot of seasoning and the beef dish was extremely simple. Both the main dishes exceeded £15. £15+ for a few tiny slices of beef, some boiled rice and 2 eggs is quite poor value for money in my opinion. When we got the bill, my partner had been charged £5 for a glass of water. On the bill it was labelled as ‘large bottle of still water’. She didn’t receive a bottle and it wasn’t a particularly big glass. £8 for a glass of water and an orange juice is absurd in my opinion. Nice place, nice people but they need to adjust the pricing.

Had a delicious family birthday meal.

Many things here were good. I was very disappointed in their ability to provide spice. I asked at some length for extra spice, discussing chillies for example and my experience asking for spice in other restaurants. In the meal I received, I could not taste any spice. Everything else about it was good. I was even provided with a bowl of chillies, which were too large to be hot. So, I can't see us being in a hurry to return.

Been there twice. Food are as if you're in the Philippines. No fusion or whatsoever, one look and you know it is Filipino food and the taste is on point. Lovely service and very home-y ambiance. Looking forward for another meal.

Fantastic restaurant with amazing food. I've been here twice now, and neither time was there a single dish that wasn't amazing. Both times we ordered the small plates to share and these were great tasting and good portion sizes. Restaurant atmosphere is spot on and really well designed. A must for anyone coming to kennilworth!

We were excited to have found a Filipino restaurant that was local to us. We went today and weren’t disappointed. Authentic Filipino food, lovely staff (Jun and crew were so accommodating) - truly a taste of home! My wife, daughter and I ordered chicken chicharon and sisig to start. We had one bite and decided to ask for our rice to be served straightaway. Filipinos will know - if the food is that good, you have to have rice with it. We then had adobo and crispy pata for our mains. The portions were generous; the quality better than most - if not all - Filipino restaurants we’ve tried in London. We will come back!! Reservations recommended.

Excellent food, and a wonderful selection. 5* because we had an excellent evening. Shame that the access/entrance feels like the backdoor of someone's home, but try look past that!

Food was amazing and good portion size. Staff was lovely as well. The only draw back would be the restaurant is quite small so it could be a bit cramped. The entrance to the place is also a bit difficult to find. However all worth it with the amazing food!

I just had my birthday dinner here today! their Calamari is the best calamari I've ever eaten!. My future in-law loves all the dishes and even planning to come back here for a double date 😍 Restaurant is warm and cozy. Foods are wonderful, the serving is huge! Crew are lovely and friendly! This restaurant is definitely a must try one!

Friendly waiters and manager, cute setting, and most importantly delicious food. I’m glad I had my first Filipino food ever at this place. By sharing a side and main between two (I recommend both: the Lumpiang Gulag and especially the Afritada Tofu), we spent <£10 per person.

Very good and original food, but hard to find and a wee bit drafty

What food they had was okay. The starters were very nice - siopao and calamari. We did try to order the Crispy Pata but were informed they had none in. It's a shame because it's what we had booked to have. We settled on the Chicken Inasal, it was tasty but a bit overpriced and the Caldereta which was covered in oil so it made it hard to eat the sauce. The staff were polite.

Had the potential to be a good meal, but not knowing the dishes I asked the young waiter for some advice. He suggested that a series of small plates might be as good as going for a main dish. It wasn't. Too much stuff in batter, pickles/acidic sauces, steamed dumplins that tasted just like the ones you can buy in supermarkets, and not at all a hearty meal for nearly £30. Felt quite green when I left. What I'd hoped for was for senior staff/owners (who were there) to suggest a filling and balanced meal, or a set menu that would help create that. This cuisine does not really lend itself to tapas but I'm sure the main meals are much nicer.

It was my first time trying Philippine food and fell in love with it! ❤️ Excellent food, ambience, and hospitality All dishes were excellent, my favourite was chicken inasal 👌 grilled chicken. I tried so far. The spices were soaked well into the meat , it was juicy, and the portion was generous Don't forget to try their dessert as well! Highly recommend the yam 😋

Awesome gem of a place, great food and vibe

Went here for 130pm lunch with my BF and his parents (4pax). Very good Filipino food! Generous servings and reasonably priced especially for how big the servings of the mains. Even the starters are generous too and you can share. Recommend chicken skin for starters and crispy pata and ginataang laing for mains, as well as adobo. Staff are nice and service is prompt. Would recommend to book as the place gets very busy. Would definitely come back again!!

I HAD to leave a review for this restau after the service we received tonight! Hands down 10/10 in food and service — the staff were SO friendly (especially the owner). We even got some food on the house and even those were really good authentic filipino food. Our group had crispy pata, caldereta, lumpiang shanghai, siopao, siomai, bbq, calamari, chicken chicharon, ube halaya, cassava cake, don papa pineapple cake. We were VERY happy. Thank you tito Ray!

Not at all impressed. Booked for lunch today, anticipating the fixed price menu, as shown on the website. On arrival, our greeting was less than enthusiastic. Drinks were ordered and these took quite a long time, especially as we seemed to be the only customers. We asked for the lunch menu, only to be informed that menu was no longer available, as it was for summer only. We decided not to stay; offered to pay for the untouched drinks, which was declined. We then left and went to Ego, where the experience could not have been more different. Pleasant, friendly and efficient staff, and noticeably rather busier.

Very good quality food. Great gluten free options on the bigger menu. On the tapas menu just one option, would love to see a bit more options. But overall, the food was very delicious!

We called on the off-chance of a table for two and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious and the staff were very pleasant. They just need to get the ordering and table delivery coordinated so that both people have their food at the same time. We would definitely go again.

Authentic Filipino food is hard to find. We drove for an hour to try this and we'll definitely do it again.

The Tambayan is a really really amazing place with everything from a variety of seats, starters,main and pudding. It also has a lovely atmosphere with music, decorations and very hygienic toilet, table etc. The food here was absolutely astonishing with a large variety of dishes and mouth warming, explosive flavours straight from the Philippines!!! If there is any restaurant to go to in the whole of Warwick its the Tambayan. :)

We sat in a nice outdoor area and was served very quickly. The food itself was a mixed bag, especially for the price. The starters were the best part of the meal; the Spicy Pak Pak was juicy and flavourful (but not at all spicy) and the Chicken Chicharon was crispy and airy. The main...wasn't great. The Tapsilog was very salty, while the Tori Kuwayaki was underwhelming. Most times we've had teriyaki elsewhere, it's been better than this. If the meal was more reasonably-priced, we would've felt a lot better.

Always had amazing experiences here, the food is absolutely amazing and you can tell its all cooked fresh. 100% recommend.
