Talpole in County Durham

So after a few months break we decided to go for a family meal. Walked in and because we had no reservation got sent to the right. So I went on the website and made a reservation for 10 minutes time and we just had a little walk and then returned back to the reservation side. Seated and drinks order was taken. Arrived in a timely manner and then took our orders for food. Not to long a wait and food arrived. Food was excellent and staff were attentive without being over bearing. Always our favourite for a nice family meal. Never had to book a table before, especially when there are reservations free. But will just book a table next time to save any issues.

Stayed for four days in the hotel next door breakfast was outstanding every morning the full English is alive and kicking here with first class friendly service, unable to fault in any way

Stayed in Stockton for the weekend and ate at the beefeater for breakfast and dinner. The breakfast was excellent plenty of choice and well cooked. In the evening the restaurant was packed always a good sign, so we had to eat in the bar the food was great we all enjoyed it. I am really bad with names but the staff were incredibly friendly even though they were busy all the time, they took the time to ask how the meal was and were kind to our boys.

Stayed next door at the Premier Inn. Took up the Dinner & Breakfast deal at the hotel. Evening meal was lush. We were entitled to a 2 course meal with a drink for £27. My husband and I went for the chicken and ribs combo, with 2 puddings and a wine and a beer. My hubby choose the cheesecake which looked and tasted amazing. Well done to our waitress Ronnie she was attentive and very pleasant. Well done Beefeater.

The food in here was second rate ,even with our 33 percent off lt was still poor value.we had a fillet steak and a mixed grill ( Wetherspoons mixed grill is much better) The drinks selection was good .The wait time for food from ordering to delivery was over an hour .The waiters were friendly,but the queue for drinks at the bar was unacceptable.

well, we have been here before and the food was okay came for the second time wasn't aware food stopped serving at 9, food service was okay time however asked for a medium rare and got a rare then got it redone for a new one and got medium.... for it being a steak house i don't recommend coming here for what u want in a steak house cocktails were brilliant 🤩

We visited as a large party for a birthday and the food was lovely! The staff were all so friendly and kept checking up on us and keeping us topped up with drinks. We had a lovely night! So thank you to everyone :)

This is one to miss. Scruffy, with dust piled up on skirting,dogs on the loose where people were trying to eat. We had travelled a long way and ready for lunch, I had a filet steak with skinny fries, partner had rib and chicken combo. Both meals were of the lowest possible standard and were skipped over. No one could be bothered to ask if it was OK. Never again. My simple view is places like this don't deserve to stay open

Visited the venue at lunchtime today. Paddy was very efficient taking our order at the bar and serving our table. The meals and drinks were served to us in a good time. Chris another server was also very attentive to our requests. He went out of his way to make sure we were happy with our meals and he also made a fuss of our fur baby. Both of these young men are a credit to your company.

Stayed at the premier inn next door all week whilst on a course in Stockton. The staff were all very friendly and Bev in-particular took very good care of me at breakfast each morning, always willing to have a friendly chat!

Fantastic staff, food and drink...nothing bad to say. But one member of staff has special skills...Katie...managed to ask how my meal was while my mouth was empty....no mumbled answer with food flying across the room 😂 Well done Katie....and thank you...great service.

Food was really good and piping hot, quick service and Charlie's customer service was excellent. He was polite, funny and engaging. Had a pint of Madri which was spot on also.

food was good. if sitting in bar you will need to like or not be scared of dogs as they are everywhere in the bar area. I wouldn't eat in area with so many dogs. I've never actually seen as many dogs in a pub before. Beer is okay, maybe a little over priced like the grub.

Have been going to the Talpore for a long time, decided to take my daughter in law for some lunch. Well, is it normal to pay £16.50 for burger & chips, I was very surprised how much prices had gone up. Yes it was nice but how can this price be justified.

Popped in this afternoon for a last minute Sunday lunch, we were greeted and served by Chris, excellent customer service, he was quick and efficient and very friendly, The legend that is Ronnie delivered our meals in a very timely fashion, everything was perfect, both lamb dinners were cooked to perfection and honestly couldn’t have asked for more, keep up the good work guys because as usual, an excellent dining experience 👌👌

Best place for breakfast I have been. Plenty of staff so everything's topped up, clean & amazing selection. Everything you can think & self-serve as much as you like. We were staying at the caravan park next door and headed over for a couple of early evening drinks....we ended up staying longer! What a great venue with hard working, extremely friendly staff. Special thanks to Michael and all the team that were working. They were all so efficient and worked really well together as a team. You hardly had to wait to get served and considering the place was so busy I don't know how they did it! The food was well presented, tasty and served piping hot. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone staying nearby and locals alike. Some Beefeater restaurants have lost their way but this one most definitely hasn't. Thank you.

The staff made me feel like family, I stayed away in the Premier inn next door for a week and was throughly thrilled with the options of food available.
