Tale of Spice is open later than all the other eateries at the Omniplex and so we were pleased to get a warm welcome and a lovely table. Customer service was outstanding and the food was unexpectedly the best Indian cuisine we’ve had anywhere in N Ireland. The ingredients, sauces and herbs were all fresh and presentation was perfect. The attention to detail was a welcomed surprise down to the hot cloths for our hands. Thanks to the chef, staff and delicious dishes we can highly recommend this lovely place!

On our way back from Republic of Ireland to England and stayed a night at Dundonald to break the journey. Not being from the area we took the risk and tried Tale of Spice and were not disappointed! Food was first class and totally delicious. Staff were extremely friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal but felt it a little overpriced (£9.95 for a side!)

My partner and I's favourite restaurant, we go here for every occasion without a pause and have loved it for over 3 years All of the staff are so friendly and remember our names (Vish is so kind and chatty, we love talking to him). The food is absolutely beautiful, filled with flavour and out of the 20 or so times we've been here it's always been the same standard. Service is quick and food always arrives hot and fresh. The restaurant is comfy, always clean and the atmosphere is relaxing and romantic. The staff also go above and beyond to assist my boyfriend who is a wheelchair user. They hold the doors open, take away the chair and are always willing to help in any way Couldn't recommend this place more. Will always remain our favourite place

Good service, good food, excellent staff

I came here for dinner today, ordered the Chicken Tikka starter and was very happy with the presentation of the food, I usually order this meal when I come here but however today when i cut open the chicken I discovered it was under-cooked. I asked my family who were dining with me if this looked cooked and they all said yes so I proceeded to eat it until one of my companions looked into it deeper and discovered it was in fact raw. We told the waiter that it was raw and I was happy with how the situation was handled and they brought me out a new plate, but this is just a warning to check your meat, especially chicken, before you consume it.

This was a takeaway meal. I asked if the restaurant made methi dish. They said yes we can. The dish I took home was basically a korma dish wish fenugreek sprinkled on it.

£30 for 2pakora 2 sauces and some poppadoms . No rice or meat ordered Robbed blind! Never again. If there were a lower score I would give it. Do yourself a favour and avoid unless your feeling flush

We enjoyed a family birthday get together in Tale of Spice.The staff were very attentive and both drink and food orders were taken quickly and efficiently. Our food order was very varied but all dishes delivered correctly and the children really enjoyed their choices.The monkfish balti stood out as a special favourite. Thank you for your hospitality, we will definitely return.

Fantastic meal. Goan fish curry and balti exotica were beautiful and extremely tasty. This is definitely an improvement from our last visit and while it was a quiet Thursday evening it still had a buzz with other patrons.

Wouldn’t recommend at all, called in after bowling with a group of friends, ordered 4 pints of coke, the first waiter spilled a pint of coke all over the table, my partners white T-shirt and my iPhone, we swapped tables and eventually got our order took, my partner asked if we could get popadoms considering his shirt was now ruined, to be told that we would have to order them, our friend got raw chicken with his his tandoori mix (have photos of this) the second waiter took it away without an apology and asked if he would like anything else, quite frankly it put us all off our food we left quickly after that, we got a discount for one of the pints of coke only and no apologies at all for the entire experience and service being appalling. £115 later with most of our food left on our plates we left. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

Went tonight for a family meal 5 adults and 2 children. We had a great meal staff were very good we will definitely be back again. Have been a few times and it never disappoints.

The food is very enjoyable and actually seems to be quite a lot fresher and healthier than your average restaurant in general (I ate it pretty late yet it didn't affect my sleep, which is more than can be said about a lot of places). I recommend these guys both for taste and quality.

Hello. It is funny the way you replied to my review earlier shows how rude you handle customers reviews. This is exactly my point. From my part, I didnt make any fuss about the box of donuts or kids juices i had with me. I didnt hide it and I did explain why i didnt leave them in the car as my dog was inside. Thats why I left it with you. But the way you handled it was very bad. It was very late in the night and customer walks in with two kids after a long day and just wanted to have dinner. But as soon as i entered you were all investigative and you didnt bother about greeting the customer or even have a simple conversation and you talk about courtesy, first learn how to respect customers. I was very courteous to call ahead and ask whether i can come as it is late but you treated us like a prisoner. This is not the first time it is happening with tale of spice treating Indian customers way different to locals. Btw, you just lost bunch of customers from my side. Adios.

Garbage !!!!! Used to be great and now july 21 must have new owners dont look at the pictures .. thats not what you get chicken tika is some chic in pink sauce nan is like burned and thin as potatoe chips😦 never again and i used to go alot since i moved back

Fantastic lovely food great service

First time ordering from here and definitely won't be the last. Lived in the area 3 years and this is the best Indian we've found! Food was delicious, full of flavour, spicy (but not so much that you couldn't taste anything else) and arrived piping hot! Can't wait to try again - hopefully in person in the restaurant.

Lovely restaurant, decor is pleasant and it feels very private if you're lucky enough to get a booth. Service was good and the food was great, all topped off with a couple of well pulled pints of Cobra. Would happily recommend if you enjoy an Indian meal.

Incredibly disappointed with their service on several levels. On two separate occasions we’ve ordered pick up and been told a completely incorrect pick up time. The first time we waited 30mins after we arrived and the second time we waited 60minutes - no refund or discount was offered but they gave us a mini bottle of Prosecco which felt insulting. The second time our order was incomplete and they forgot a naan bread that we were still charged for. They clearly did not put the order in when we ordered. For the price you pay it’s just not acceptable. Disappointing and frustrating.

Booked for 7.30pm. 7.55 still waiting for table some people in front of us booked for 7.15. They told us we would just have to wait for table. So we left.

Absolutely awful food cold when arrived forgot some of order no flavour in anything hardly any meat in meals highly not recommended won’t be back!

We have never had a bad meal here. The menu is quite varied and very well priced. The staff are really friendly too. The restaurant can feel a little cramped on busy evenings, apart from that it is well worth a visit. Lots of free parking too.

Went for a meal before the movie . its is one of the best Indian food i have . food was second to none. first time had a great authentic Indian curries. service was brilliant . will definitely come back ... sorry will keep coming back for chicken tikka malai methi .

Further to my recent review of ToS, we returned for their second Homestyle Curry Tasting Night. Once again we were treated to a medley of interesting dishes including an excellent paneer and mushroom dish, and a veggie curry. Looking forward to the next of these that will be a completely veggie affair.

Fantastic takeaway as always! Lamb hot dishes are our favourite! Staff always throw in the extra chillies (as asked).. dishes are full of meat, vegetables. Tonight we got treated to a taste of the hot paste - which was HOT!!!! Peshawari Naan is a must!! Free poppadom and bottle of coke also tonight 🤩🤩 10/10 for service & cleanliness too!

Having moved to NI 5 yrs ago, with previous access to the marvellous Balti Triangle In Birmingham, we were initially disappointed with the local Indian restaurants, and then we found Tale of Spice.

Everytime I have been to Tale of Spice the food has been phenomenal. The best Indian food I have ever had. There is a wide variety of food, which caters to everyone's taste buds. You can tell that alot of care and effort has been put into creating the menu and making the food. This is matched with the excellent service that is provided by the super friendly team of waiters. They are credit to themselves and have great fun with their customers. Cant thank them enough for the experience they provide.
