Takeway in Cambridge

Cannot recommend this takeaway restaurant highly enough. Some of the most delicious food - speedy delivery, generous portions, extremely tasty and good value - thank you :-)

We had a takeaway for Mothers Day and it was delicious. Really good food, on time and still hot. Loved trying the chilli paneer and our usual dishes were spot on. Won’t go anywhere else now!

Been ordering from Renu’s for the past couple of years, lovely food, friendly service. However, last night we placed a small order. One curry (balti, which no longer comes with a naan!) one rice, saga-loo and a couple of popadoms. This took nearly 2 hours from point of order to receiving on doorstep! Simply not good enough, there wasn’t a lot of sauce with the curry either. It left me highly disappointed I’m afraid. We’ve been offered 30 per cent off our next order but I’m sorry to say next time we’ll be trying somewhere else.

We've been using Renu's for many years, both collection and delivery. The food is excellent and the staff, whether you visit in person or have it delivered, are always cheery, polite and friendly. My only complaint is that they put far too little cucumber in the raita!

The food is amazing, so is the staff that always deliver above and beyond customer service. I highly recommend ordering from Renus.

I don't often treat myself to a takeaway curry but when I do, it's always Renu's! The food is always good, it's good value and great service. I've been coming here for years and never been disappointed.

Awful by far the worst I have ever had. Very bland half size portions. Tikka masala was just water with some floating bits of chicken and no flavour and the veg rice was a half size portion minus the veg that look like it had been scooped back in of somebodys plate! Award winning NO chance! Save yourself £25 and by a micro curry. More flaver more portion. Very very disappointed

Very friendly service and excellent tasty food. Best seabass tandoori I have ever had. I wish it was my local, but sadly they don't deliver to Yorkshire.

Amazing as always. I've been a chef for 30 years and haven't found a better indian takeaway in Cambridge. Really friendly staff as well.

We paid £30 for sh*t We called to make it spicy and it just tasted like plain rice. It’s too expensive for what it is. 3 pieces of onion Bhajis for £4.25. If you’re going to charge that much Atleast make sure it tastes good. There were 2 prides of papadum given this was ridiculous how can you be so stingy. The only good thing out of this takeaway was the coke.

We had a truely lovely curry from here and I am so glad I have rediscovered Renu`s. All of the meal was beautiful and the sauces rich and well flavored. Delivery guy was very nice ,we will be back again :-)

Tasted nothing like a donner kebab infact wasn't even presented as a kebab was assumed a wrap tasted spicy sort it out don't offer kebabs stay in your own lane. Indian food!

I collected my food from the takeaway to ensure it was hot but it was actually lukewarm. Food tastes fine but the portions were too small. Both rice and meat dish were just over half full in the relatively modest sized plastic containers. Not satisfied. I may try once more but if they are stingy next time i won't return.

We order regularly from Renu's and find the food and service consistently excellent. We particularly enjoy the onion bhajis and machlee tikka starters. The Ceylon range is also delicious. We find the spice is on the mild side which is excellent for our children too. The whole family are huge fans of Renu's.

Disappointed for the second time. We ordered a late night takeaway on a Saturday and with a limited choice this restaurant had the best reviews. I ordered the ‘chicken’ tikka masala and it was luke warm had minimal flavour was an awful colour and the chicken did not taste like chicken. All of our order including 2 curries and tandoori chicken rice and naannreally lacked any even mild spice and flavour even the garlic naan lacked garlic flavour. I won’t be ordering again. No problem with service or delivery. This is purely based on food quality.This was the second order and same disappointment

Probé la mayoría de las comidas para llevar de la India en Cambridge, desde que me mudé aquí hace 8 años. Ahora soy 100% un cliente fiel de Renu. La comida siempre es fresca, llena de sabor y llega a tiempo, y su servicio al cliente es increíble. Siempre entregan la comida con una sonrisa y un saludo, y responden consultas por teléfono (por ejemplo, sobre alérgenos o ingredientes) con profesionalidad. ¡Ojalá tuvieran un restaurante sentado ya que iría allí todas las semanas! Pero también estoy feliz de comer su deliciosa comida en casa.

We loved the chicken chat and tandoori chicken sheen kebab all starters main we shared jaalfrezi with keema nan all delivered was not disappointed 👍👍

Good food & good price I always collect & some times I phone so no waiting, It is always ready when I collect my take away ( if I phone first ) what more say.

Pedimos una comida durante cuatro un par de meses atrás y tres de los cuatro disfrutamos mucho de nuestras comidas, las raciones son buenas y estaba recién preparado. Sobre esta base, iba a ordenar nuevamente anoche, ¡hasta que verifiqué los gastos de envío! ! Estamos a las afueras de Cambridge, 6. ¿5 millas de la salida pero 15? De Verdad? ¡Quería un curry entregado, no un taxi de regreso a la ciudad! ! Lo siento muchachos, se perdieron un pedido de más de 50, y no volveré a ordenar el envío. Ordenaría si estuviera cerca y pudiera recoger, pero no de otra manera.

It should allow you the option to leave ZERO stars. The delivery took over an hour to arrive. The food was dead cold and far from edible.

Avoid at all cost! Had a delivery about an hour ago, which was inedible. The meat was so tough I questioned that it was actually meat. It was also cold. I called to ask that the driver return to collect the order less than 5 minutes after it arrived. The manager was incredibly rude, muttering "oh my god" under his breath and essentially defending the toughness of the meat saying it was "mutton". Now, I'm not shy of the kitchen and know how to cook both lamb and mutton. I even know how to make a half decent curry after living a stone's throw from Brick Lane in East London for 15 years and getting some tips from my beloved neighbours. All I can say is the meat tasted tough, bland and....old!It's rare that my wife and I treat ourselves. The kids were in bed, the food arrived, I'm now upset with the the service, a manager's disrespect and a table full of inedible food! Again....AVOID!

Food was amazing full of flavour, great menu choice. Had home delivery, arrived on time and was nice and hot.. Would recommend and will definitely use again

Conseguimos llevar con algunos amigos y todos quedamos muy impresionados. ¡La comida estaba increible! Tuve el pollo Peshwari y fue para morirse! Dulce y picante y el pollo estaba muy bien preparado. También vino con un arroz especial que tenía que ser el mejor arroz que he tenido de una vez. Estaba un poco decepcionado con el peshwari naan, no había demasiado sabor también.Definitivamente estaremos comiendo aquí de nuevo, ¡ojalá pronto! !

Great Indian food which came earlier than expected, the only fault is that it wasn’t clear on JustEat whether rice was included (it was) so we ordered more than we needed. I would recommend giving them a try!

I ordered food from this place for the 1st time. I was told delivery would be 45min-1hr which is understandable. I waited & waited & it turned up 1hr 45min later, at this point i was very annoyed as i had my child & partner waiting for food & stated to the driver this was not acceptable. He offered me a mear 10% off which i didnt think was feesable so i suggested ringing the take away & speaking to someone about it, funnily enough the 'driver' was the 'owner' he did not like it when i said this, & walked off with the food stating i should order from somewhere else! This is disguting behaviour from an restraunt owner to hsve such an attitude!! 'Someone teach this guy some customer service'
