First time ordered from here some reviews nearly put me off from making my order but I will say in my opinion that everything was cooked perfectly and I'm glad I made the choice to give them a call the chicken was tender and moist as was the lamb everything was marinated perfectly and will defenately order again flavours were beautiful and was avery prompt delivery service will highly recommend

Customer shouldn't wait for 1 hour for food. I haven't received my food yet anf how it's showing delivered!!!

I've ordered from here before and ate in the restaurant, and I always enjoyed the food, but today I found a lack of flavour. Which is a shame because it's normally delicious

The chicken in the curry was hard and really awful. The only nice thing about this meal for £28 was the pakora. I’m still awaiting a refund for £14

1.5hours after ordering food, it still hadn’t arrived. Called restaurant & was told to cancel through app & to request a refund. No sorry, nothing! 1st time ordering & for sure won’t be ordering again!

Food bland and not great quality

We eat from the Taj Mahal both takeaway and in the restaurant and the food you get delivered is the same quality as served in the restaurant. I highly recommend anyone to give them a try, I guarantee you’ll be impressed by the food

Balti set meal for 2 is outstanding 👌 ive ate and ordered at this restaurant for 20 years and its never let me down! Yummy stuff 😋 try the Mulli too its great 👍🏻

Fancied Indian takeaway at end of working week. The Taj Mahal is up a steep flight of stairs but delivery is available for those who can't manage these. Menu is extensive and has vegetarian choices. Ordered and food ready in 15mins. Delicious food 😋

Shocking customer service Waiting for my order to find it was cancelled and now have to wait to be refunded which states can take up to 14 days. On top of finding another restaurant and eat late Will not be returning.

Food good, service rude to say the least. Website stated they were closing at 11pm, arrived around 9pm to be greeted with the waiter telling us they closed soon, we were made to feel like an inconvenience, uncomfortable & won't be returning.

I’ve eaten at Taj Mahal and it’s always been enjoyable but I just had a takeaway which was barely warm and swimming in oil and lacked taste. What a waste of £48

Food was disapointing, oily and tasted salty. We did get a free bottle of coke but then again we placed a big order. Upsettingly me and my family left most of the food as it simply wasnt nice. I will not be ording from here again.

I’ve ordered from here a few times now and it’s always been lovely but the king prawn curry I ordered last night which at £10.95 isn’t cheap was awful I’m so sorry to say, the sauce was fine but the prawns were like eating gristle they were absolutely vile, I’m really hoping this was a one off

The sheek kebab in a friend flat bread was not fried. It was wrapped in a plain naan. This happened before and it’s not nice

FOOD WAS TERRIBLE, BLAND AND TASTELESS WENT STRAIGHT IN BIN. CONTACTED TAJ MAHAL AND WAS PROMISED A CALL STRAIGHT BACK WITH A RESOLVE ....NEVER HAPPENED ! THEY ARE QUICK ENOUGH TO TAKE YOUR MONEY FOR SUBSTANDARD FOOD WILL NOT USE AGAIN.

Love this restaurant and the restaurant staff are awesome , one of them best food in Basildon must try them

My only complaint is I ordered vegetable samosas and got meat ones. The rest of the food was fantastic 😋. Will definitely recommend !! 👌

Chicken tika masala tasted watery and not much flavor and the chicken tika byriani tasted bland.

Something wasn’t quiet right with the curry, I found up and they replaced it and dropped it off with 15 mins. Service was brilliant and completely understanding. Deffo will be using the place again
