I went to grab a quick bite for lunch and wish I’d never bothered. The menu wasn’t apparently clear so I asked the server how much a burrito and nacho’s would cost. When I asked him to put the order, the price was different but as I paid contactless I didn’t realise until afterwards.

First time going to a taco bell, incredibly disappointed with the quality of food and the service. Was ignored when first entered building, when we were acknowledged we were asked to wait, at least 5 mins later our order was taken. My partner ordered the volcano burrito which was just awful, no meat in it at all, incredibly bland and not hot in the slightest, as if they hadn't put anything in it except refried beans? Was not expecting such a poor experience.

Spent the day in York, needed some fast food. Food was warmish, but I still ate it. Service was good, staff were very friendly. I'd go again, it was fine just could have been hotter.

Didn’t even know this place existed until we were passing. First time trying a Taco Bell The food is amazing and flavourful. The lady at the counter was super nice and helpful. All in all looked like a cosy friendly family type place. Will absolutely be returning.

After try from different places, definitely the BEST NACHOS and the BEST staff are in Taco Bell. Chef's made an amazing tasting food and the lady on the cashier absolutely 10/10, and really friendly and helpful. We'll definitely back. CONGRATS!! DONT CHANGE,PLS!!!!

The burritos were awful! They were mushy, cold and flavourless!! The service was also painfully slow. On the plus side the chips were ok.

Visited late on an evening surprised by how loud the music was on in the establishment. Chairs already on tables as if it was closed. Staff clearly didn't want me to be there.

We've just got back from a family birthday party at Taco Bell York. The staff were wonderful and nothing was too much trouble. They had decorated the table and couldn't have done more to make ordering easy. They organised the cake (candles then cutting) and were brilliant with the kids. Thank you so much to all the staff.

Whilst I would eat this when I’m hungry, there are places where you can get much better and fresher burritos.

Have wanted to try Taco Bell for ages, but unfortunately for me it didn't go well. Went with my daughter for a drive thru and ordered the 7 layer burrito, one fajita quesadilla and two cheesy topped fries. Got back home and my burrito was stone cold, very disappointing. My daughter's fajita was hot and the fries were very nice. Will probably give it another try, but eat in next time.

first experience of Taco Bell, Son wanted to try it and we used the drive through. Service was prompt and friendly, area was very clean unlike the usual drive throughs, food was enjoyed by my son who while we were away shyed away from the burger places and opted for Tacos on 3 occasions. Looked a lot heathier than most take aways and he enjoyed all the choices he made.Shame there are so few of these as none are local to us.

Finished work, picked my wife up from an afternoon’s shopping, so we popped in for the first time to give this place ago... After reading all the reviews I would ask why??? It’s new and the staff are fresh!!! The food was spot on, cooked to order and hot unlike some of the reviews I have read. The waiting time was awhile for a fast food outlet, however they had plenty of drive threw‘s with only 3 staff on at the time (20.00) No chicken on for the wrap as they had sold out and a 20 min wait for the next, however after waiting it would have been ready. Will try again, as this place is new and the food is different which makes a nice change... Don’t go off the reviews give it a go, hopefully like us you will enjoy your food?

We got served by one of the BEST waiters I have seen in a long time and was very impressed with his ability to make your day even better! May have took a while for the food which was reasonable as there was quite a big queue however it came and was really impressed considering the (harsh) reviews. As well as that the toilets were great and very clean although quite small causing a queue. Sadly I could not say the same for the floors and table as there was food all over! Although the food was great it was quite reasonable (£6 for a large meal). Definitely would recommend and would go again!

The only reason I have given a 1 Star is because the Nachos were edible. This was agreed by the 3 of us. The Taco meat was cold and bland, the Fajita burrito was stupid salty with hardly any veg or chicken inside. Everything had the same seasoning . Churros, well don't even bother. Taco Bell should be ashamed to sell them, they are nothing like what a churro actually is.

I recently visited Taco Bell after coming back from the states only difference is that the menu is wrote out differently , there was a lovely woman behind the desk called jet she was patient and listened to me baffling whilst trying to explain it , I am autistic and sometimes struggle to communicate but she was so nice and understanding and knew exactly what I was talking about and made sure it was made exactly how I asked this made me happy and feel less anxious . I visited again a couple of months later from harrogate just for Taco Bell and jet was there she greeted us both instantly with a huge grin and asked if I wanted the same As last time and repeated the order to me getting it perfect like she has completely remembered me and my order she made me feel more special than a server has before and she really needs a pay rise or promotion . Hers manners and patience and friendliness towards customers is 100% and I hope it is noticed by others . Unfortunately on the second the rest of them seemed angry and flustered and need to learn to smile but at least you have jet ( Janet ) who brightens everyone up :)

The reviews aren't great so didn't expect much, but our experience was great. Friendly guy took our order, produced two great tasting burritos a few minutes later. Chips are great too. Basically it's all much better than McDonald's.

We love Taco Bell. Some of the staff here are so very friendly and helpful, going out of their way to have a chat if they have the time. Love the variety that the menu brings and as the food is made to order, it is always piping hot.

I used to really like Taco Bell when I lived in the US back in the 1990s. But since then the quality of Mexican food on offer has increased massively, meaning this foisty old chain has been left behind. But as I was passing the York branch today I thought I'd give it a try for old-times' sake. Bad idea. Poor bean burrito. Disappointing cheese quesadilla. Tortilla chips fried in the same oil as the chicken rendering them unedible to a vegetarian. Filling but not tasty. Was it really this bad back in the day or has the York branch just got it badly wrong? Either way, I'm very unlikely to return.

Visited this afternoon, the lady taking the orders looked baffled as we walked in.. she stared for a while. Before I even spoke she said it’s a 20 minute wait for everything! And for your information we fry our nachos and chips in the same oil as the chicken. Safe to say we didn’t hang around. The brief one way conversation could be interpreted in many ways.. overall an awful experience.

At least I know it was freshly cooked and it was good bit I'm glad I wasn't queuing for the drive thru, I was the only one waiting and it took a good 10 minutes 🤔

Both times I have visited there has been a 30 min + wait time. The last time I was told it would be a 15 min wait and was 45. The drink I wanted had run out and the tango tasted watered down. The dining area was filthy and staff seemed to be standing around when there was a huge que. the food was good but I don’t think I’ll be visiting again due to wait, filthy dining area and seemingly not bothered staff.

Quick and clean. My wife was very hesitant about what to order and the order taker was very helpful. Service was fast. Background music was louder than I’d prefer and geared to younger people. Food came quickly and proved reasonable value. Nice Mexican fries but a bit on the salty side.

Came with my friend we both enjoyed our food and were quick to receive our meal however found the staff rude. Female serving on the till snapped impatiently at me when I seemed to give the order too fast. Also, when our number was called before I had the chance to get off my seat to collect our number was shouted a second time in the same unpleasant tone used by the woman at the till. Needs sorting

We had the box for two, quesadilla slices were lovely. Nachos had plenty of sauces and cheese. Tacos were difficult to eat cleanly, I ended up with a tomato stained t shirt. Lots of chips. Good value as we got big drinks and churros for less than a pound extra.

Unplanned visit to Taco Bell at the weekend. I went through the drive thru. The quesadilla (chicken) was delicious as were the fries with seasoning salt. All very tasty, well presented and packaged. The staff were friendly and I would definitely visit again when in Yok. It was good to find a drive thru alternative to Macdonalds. Recommended.

I ate here a few months ago & I hated it. I had a chicken burrito and fries. All I could taste was salt and like others have said, the consistency of the contents were like baby food. My partner got a drive through tonight and brought it home. He thought it was disgusting and binned most of it. He also said it was way too salty (and he ain’t too fussy with his food either peeps!) So it must be bad for him to bin food he’s paid for. I seriously wouldn’t recommend this to anyone and I can see it shutting down before long sadly.

Thought I would try taco bell instead of the usual Mac Donald's yesterday, decided on the taco supreme a double taco with fries staff where friendly enough, but was very disappointed with the portion size and quality of the food tasted nothing like a taco and the filling supposed to be beef mince was just like a liquid paste fries where cold ,I ate it then went next door for a big Mac .will not be going back very disappointed.

Decided on a drive through Taco Bell whilst in the area, wish now I hadn't wasted my time. I thought that the sizeable queue of cars would clear fairly quickly, however it took a good 20 minutes to reach the window. I was asked if I had placed an order, replied that I was doing that now?! Was told in no uncertain terms that I would have to drive back round, re-join the large queue, and order through some invisible looking box. They would not, and could not take an order at the window?!! Truly awful customer service. I was certainly not going to do that, but was intrigued at how I had missed this. I parked up and walked up to the drive through, and there was nothing at all to suggest that you had to order through a box. I found what looked like a small black litter bin, which was apparently 'the box', but it had nothing to say that orders should be placed by speaking through it. Just an unmarked, anonymous box, as per my attached photo. Saw the word STOP painted in small letters on the road, which was impossible to see when in a queue of cars. This is an appalling set up, coupled with awful customer service. Seriously. Taco Bell. Sort it out.

We had looked forward to eating here as I'd heard good things about the chain in general. First impressions weren't bad, the staff were young and helpful and were happy for us to take our time choosing. We ordered a beef burrito and a bean burrito with some nachos on the side. Pricewise there are no complaints but the food is appalling. The beef was mushy and unappealing but the bean burrito was disgusting, like damp sawdust, only not as tasty. It was probably the worst thing I have ever tried to eat. The nachos were just nacho chips with a small pot of melted plastic cheese, not pleasant at all. Most of it went in the bin before we left. Will we try again? I doubt it.

As a family we decided to go to Taco Bell as I was very impressed previously.

First time at a Taco Bell. Went through the drive in. As a first timer the menu is complicated. In fact, it may well have been written in Mexican. I'm assuming that's the style of food although it was difficult to tell once the food arrived. I don't recall being in Mexico and seeing "cheesy chips".

Came with a group of 12 people. We were informed that there was no beef left, which was disappointing. As I didn't really fancy chicken or pork, I just ordered a tray of nachos with guacamole and sour cream. They came so smothered in cayenne pepper that I couldn't eat them. There was only one ladies' toilet, and when my two-year-old needed to go there was someone in it. The disabled toilet was locked and unfortunately my daughter could not wait long enough for me to be able to locate a member of staff with a key. This seems ridiculous for a restaurant of this size.

Stopped off for food before coming home tonight and was disappointed with the service! Whilst eating our food inside the shop it had come apparent that it was staff change over as three young workers came out from the back shouting to the others working behind the counter for all the customers to hear. Then onto going over to the counter messing around and cuddling each other whilst some were preparing food (infection control springs to mind) on leaving the facilities we could here the drive through working messing around inappropriately with the already said workers on their way home. I get laughter in the workplace but i don't think these workers acted professional, safely or correctly upon my visit.

Called in on a shopping expedition to Monks Cross a week or so after it opened. I was a little concerned at a long queue that didn’t seem to diminish but staff eventually explained that the tills had “gone down” and they couldn’t process anything. After another short wait staff came along the line and gave those waiting a free portion of churros and chocolate dipping sauce. Once the system was up and running they cleared the backlog very quickly and efficiently.

Ordered one if there meals that says without dairy as I'm lactose intolerance. Took it home and the bottom part of the taco had cheese in it!!!! Not good and glad I saw this before I ate it

I was dubious about going here having been to one In the states which was discussing. I really enjoyed the food if a little pricey, friendly staff in a very hectic environment, one down side was the music was way to loud for it to be comfortable to sit in. Very busy but served really quickly. Waited for our number to be called and chose to takeaway as it was so busy. Really reasonably priced, food was amazing! My husband had the big bell box and i had the crunchwrap. Both piping hot, fresh and filling! The fries are amazing. Churros are divine!!
