Second time visiting here today and just as great as the first time - portion sizes are excellent with a lovely side salad (with melon too!) and delicious coleslaw too. Will definitely be a regular spot for when next in the area!

Excellent food & the portion sizes are very generous . Sausages roll was amazing👌, sausage & onion baguette was also delicious. Both were beautifully presented. Cappuccino was the best ive tasted in norfolk. All the staff were friendly and informative even when extremely busy. Value for money, definitely.

Wow!! Wow!! Wow!! What a lovely friendly place. We had scrambled eggs on toast and it came with a salad garnish and a slice of melon. It was delicious

We recently stayed close by and visited on a Sunday Morning for Breakfast six adults and three dogs and I have to say its hands down one of the nicest breakfast I have ever had, one of the party has a few dietary requirements and the staff could not have been better with accommodating him. If you had 6 star it would defiantly be ticked. If you are in or around the area its worth a visit you won’t be disappointed.

Afternoon Tea. Wow!! This little place is just fabulous. We were made to feel so welcome, it had a real comfortable feel about the place. The staff were nice, polite and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Now let me get on to the important bit..... The afternoon tea here is amazing, there was a good choice of Teas to choose from (I had the Norfolk blend, nice and strong!) We were also offered a choice of cake which was a nice touch, and the huge scones with jam & cream were really scrumptious. The sandwiches and the fillings were absolutely beautiful, and lots of filling (no scrimping in this place) a proper tasty plate of sandwiches, with great fillings nothing too flash or poncey, lovely bread too. By far the best afternoon Tea I've had and I've had plenty of London ones including The Ritz (sorry Ritz but this place wins) I wish this little Gem was nearer to me as I would be a regular customer for sure.

This welcoming Cafe/restaurant is situated near the church in the village of Mattishall some 5 miles from Dereham. This was my first visit and both my wife and I were impressed with the range of food available on the menus. We opted for a sandwich the perceived lighter lunch option !! The sandwich was packed with filling and served with either chips or crisps and was accompanied by a salad with a tasty dressing and a mouth watering slice of watermelon. one of my grandchildren had the special Rump steak meal how on earth did he get through it all !!! His dad had the home made burger and was beaten! This has to be the best eatery in the area including Dereham sensibly priced huge portions and a delightful outside area to eat under great modern parasols. We will return and have no hesitation in recommending Tabnabs to friends and family

As always - faultless! Selo, Linda, Sam and all the staff at tabnabs have always made us feel so welcome. I challenge anyone to find a local cafe that beats it and the afternoon tea remains the best in Norfolk! I arranged a friends baby shower here with afternoon tea and it was amazing. Plenty of sandwiches which a large selection of fillings. The scones are to die for - I joke but I would fight you for one! And the cake selection is fantastic!!! All diets and allergies are catered for. The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming - indoor and outdoor seating available. Plus a cosy upstairs for a private function or peace and quiet. If you are considering a visit then don’t hesitate- you will never be disappointed! Thank you for sharing your lovely cafe with our family over the years. Keep up the good work xxx

Booked an outside table earlier in the week for Father’s Day breakfast, with the dogs . Lovely choice, huge portions , we all had something different and all cooked to perfection. The dogs loved the extras .

I shared afternoon tea with a dear a friend using a voucher given to me as a gift . Over the years I have enjoyed coffee, cake and lunches here so was looking forward to sharing this voucher with a dear friend. As it was a lovely day we ate in the courtyard. The food was really plentiful and well presented, except for the metal rather than china teapot. Everything we managed to eat was delicious. We were told anything we couldn't eat would be boxed up for us to take home. By the time the waitress came to clear away the lovely sandwiches had become dry. Something the she should have anticipated we thought as we were busy chatting away enjoying the ambience. So they were wasted as was the remaking cake. No apology was given even when I pointed this out both to a waitress and the man I believe was the owner of Tabnabs. We were even charged for the extra pot of tea. Had this charge not been made it would have lessened our disappointment at having no goodies to take home and enjoy later. So the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. It marred our enjoyment of this long anticipated treat.

I am a local I have been here 5 times in the last few months for breakfast/brunch - I have had eggs royale; vegan option (spinach mushroom etc huge and tasty); full English; eggy bread - that’s with bacon and maple syrup (2) I’ve eaten with partner and family - food excellent, service excellent, prices really good value for the quality of food - have also visited many times over previous years and always excellent - consistently good -highly recommend

Visited Saturday lunchtime and sat upstairs. Very clean and bright although only roof lights so unable to see out. Service very good and food very tasty and fresh . Highly recommend bacon sausage and egg banquette
