Syd's Pizzeria & Coffee Shop in Harrow

Positives: 1. Perfect location within the park, ideal for a relaxing break. 2. Great coffee, one of the highlights of the visit. Areas for improvement: 1. Opening Hours: I've been visiting this park for some time now, and I've often found the café closed, leading me to believe it was shut down. It turns out I was simply arriving before opening hours, but the information is posted inside the shutters, making it impossible to see. It would be helpful if they opened earlier on weekends, perhaps between 8-9am, and made the opening hours visible from the outside. 2. Preparedness: The kitchen should be ready at opening time. My pizza was delayed because no one had turned on the oven upon arriving, and they had been in 30mins. 3. Cleanliness: There was litter around the outdoor seating area, likely from the previous day. A quick cleanup when opening would make a big difference. 4. Attitude Towards Kids: The ‘welcome’ sign feels undercut by a ‘no fun’ sign. It seems contradictory, and their policy of banning bikes and scooters doesn’t seem fair when staff members park their motor scooters on the park paths. 5. Ingredient Transparency: We ordered a Margherita pizza, but it turned out to be spicy, possibly cooked in chili oil. The menu didn’t indicate that it was spicy, otherwise, I wouldn’t have ordered it. Clear labeling would be appreciated. 6. Pastry Quality: The pastries, particularly the croissant, looked underwhelming and appeared undercooked. I'd suggest sourcing higher-quality baked goods and perhaps adjusting prices accordingly for a better overall experience. 7. Quality of children’s drinks: they had a range of sugary junk drinkks including ‘monkey tree’ smoothie which is just not good. They need some pure/organic type drinks dor children.

Lovely welcoming cafe in the park. Their new chicken baguette is like an Irish chicken fillet roll! Great coffee and cookies too.

I always get a great welcome with brilliant service. And they’re very dog friendly so I have one happy doggy too!! Great job!! Keep up the excellent work!!

It does what the name says it does. The pizza is good, the sandwiches are nice, the cookies and cake are yummy. The staff are nice and the cafe sits nicely in the park. Would I go out of my way, travel far and wide to eat here? No. Am I glad it is in my local park and I'll go there every now and then as a little treat? Most definitely.

I have finally been able to find a place locally where I can have meetings etc. where you can get great coffee and food. The staff are polite and the food is great and flavourful unlike some of the other places around here where you deal with very rude people who judge you. It's great to be in the park surrounded by some green and have good food cooked with love - the pizza is great! Finally found a place where I can properly have a meeting locally in a warm, friendly place with proper staff!

lived nearby for many years and only discovered this - one good thing about lockdown- looking forward to coming her more often - home-made cakes and pizzas and genial atmosphere- what else can one want

Just had some iced lattes together with large halal pizzas which were crisp and tasty, with generous toppings that provided plenty of flavours including herbs, and were really fresh and hot. Much better than the typical big name pizzas.

We often come here after school- perfect location to catch up with friends, let the kids have a run around and indulge in Syd’s excellent pizza. He’s always so friendly and the cafe is a fantastic asset to our community!

This place has recently been refurbished and to be honest I only ever bought coffee there before the work was done. On Sunday I went there with family and we had pizza. It was very good and freshly made. I would highly recommend

Deletious fresh baked Pizzas, I recommend highly the Vegi Delight and the Margarita and the Calzone with Potato Wedges and Salad which went well with Appletiser 😊 Good easy location to get to from West Harrow tube station, approximately 5 minutes to get to. The food hygiene is high 5star rated. Very friendly service and family orientated, we had a lovely time.

I have loved pizza since I was a boy and Ive become really picky when it comes to good pizza. Syd’s pizza is by far the best I’ve had in London, not only that but he really takes the time to cater for what you want and always gives you advice to what to get. Nice family run place and always fresh ingredients. Combine that with the idyllic setting in the park, it’s a must go in the summer. I hear you can also call and order for collection.

Syd as always was very welcoming and friendly. He has a great job with the new extension. Pizzas are very tasty. Good range of snacks and drinks.
