Swiss Bread Bakery in Richmond upon Thames

The Swiss bakery in Ham is a little gem. It feels like being back home in Switzerland. Authentic and quality Swiss food. Tanja, Andre and the team are very attentive and provide exceptional customer service. I can highly recommend this place and will be back as soon as possible!

Half my family is Swiss, so I was looking for Swiss products on line, when this place appeared in my search, so I thought we would go and look at it, and we are glad we did, it was like being in Switzerland, the decor, Swiss products, the Swiss staff everything. You are warmly welcomed. All the hand made products are made using Swiss ingredients, and mmmmmm so delicious, if you are looking for a little piece of Switzerland in the UK, I highly recommend coming here.

This place is superb! The food was exceptional and I can't wait to go back and work my way through the entire menu. This place is exceptional! Great coffee, fantastic food and outstanding customer service. If you are not familiar with Swiss products they will happily explain what is on offer. On their recommendation I tried Flammkuchen for the first time and it is delicious - the tastiest thing I have had in a long time. Absolutely worth a visit if you are in the area, but also well worth a trip if you are not. Cannot recommend highly enough

I have been meaning to try this bakery for ages. So finally I was able to. Unfortunately I had so much bread at home so couldn't buy their tempting looking loaves. I was so overwhelmed by all the amazing goodies they had on offer. However, the lady behind the till was an absolute gem, so lovely and explained everything to me, so didn't even looked frustrated at my indecision or my million questions.Anyway I purchased a Swiss chocolate croissant, an almond croissant and a honey and walnut pastry. The latter pastry was divine, something I've never tried and so moreish. However, although the almond and chocolate croissant were light and fluffy, and you can definitely taste the quality in the ingredients used, I felt that their wasn't enough filling inside, I may sound like Paul Hollywood here but I like my pastry filled completely on the inside with no gaps. Especially as it wasn't cheap. However, this place is so cute and inviting I'll definitely be back to sample their bread. I know my wasteline isn't going to thank me!

Had such a lovely lunch with special birthday fondue fun . Staff were friendly and welcoming for our first visit there and we shall return. A culinary experience with all the trimmings 👍🤗

What a delicious lunch we had here. 6 friends had cheese flan with salad and for dessert an assortment of pastries. I recommend the Swiss Bakery very highly Every time I visit it is perfect in every way. The high quality food, the breads, the snacks and the service all excellent.Visit them soon and enjoy.

Friendly service, well organised for Covid lockdowns, and delicious baked products - breads, quiches and my favourite, apple strudel!

My family and I we love everything at the Swiss bakery. They are a lot of similarities into French pastry/bakery and the Swiss ones. As a frenchy I enjoy, I mean I ENJOYED every bite of the brioche, croissant, the roll one buttery pastry that we call in french Kouignaman, Forêt noire, Apple strudel , the real bread with nuts, the sandwiches with their homemade pesto such a delish. The Swiss Bakery is a must eat!

We discovered this wonderful bakery shortly after they opened in Ham back in March . Oh my ! It’s a little piece of heaven . The quality of their bread and other baked items is absolutely superb and the service is faultless . You can tell that this is no ordinary place by the joy the owners bring to everything they bake and the pride they take in their work . We’re so delighted that they now offer breakfasts and lunches . Worth a special trip . We so look forward to our weekend visits .

What a lovely place, hidden away in Ham. Easy parking on the main road, little tables outside, and seating inside, lovely brunch and gorgeous cakes. Waitresses so friendly, kept asking if the meal was OK which it was. Good cappuccino too. We will return.

I came here with my Swiss partner for a breakfast for her birthday. She (and I) were incredibly impressed with the café complet which was great value, beautifully presented and very tasty. After lots of great breads cheeses and pastries,we took some cakes home and loved them. The staff are really friendly, not only remembering my name from the reservation but also coming over to talk to us and asking if everything was OK various times. Would highly recommend and definitely worth the trip from SE15!

Little bit of Switzerland in Surrey!! Lovely little bakery serving Swiss/German fayre. Popped in for breakfast with my Swiss mum. Lovely food & service. Adorable little cow condiment sets (which we are hoping they will be selling in the future) & some of my favourite Swiss chocolate. Will def be returning

Saw this place on Instagram and we walked to see what it was like - definitely glad we did! It was all delicious, their cheese and onion quiche was the best we've ever had! Can't wait to go back and try their bread. The service was with a smile too, really friendly.

Swiss Bakery has opened!Living in the area for some 20 years and having seen different iterations of German Bakeries in the spot on the little parade this is a real jump in quality, great personal service and new choice for fantastic freshly baked bread.The friendly Swiss Owners - super correct and Corona save - told us that they will also open for some dining and cheese fondue options later this year...once times are better. Go for the sourdough bread and the quiches!

As a German I have high expectations towards the quality of the bread we as a family eat at home. And I must admit, that the bread from The Swiss Bread Bakery in Richmond, at the entrance gate of the German school is by far the best which you can get. Apparently the high quality of raw materials are the reason for such amazing products. And you can even pay contactless which is still not everywhere possible at street food locations.Best bread to get - you cannot find anything better!!

Auf dem Weg zur Arbeit bin ich zufälligerweise vorbeigelaufen. Brot und auch Süssgebäck sind echt gut. Endlich mal richtiges Brot in meiner nähe. Es gibt viele gute Bäckereien in London mitlerweile, aber gleich um die Ecke von mir ist ideal. Gönne mir das sicher 1x die Woche.

Una panadería excelente calidad! ! Me enamoré de esta panadería móvil enseguida! Todos los panes y pastas son deliciosas y me encanta probar un nuevo pastel o pan en las recomendaciones del vendedor (vendedores son muy bonitas y muy amable! ). Seguro que saben de lo que estamos hablando de panadería… genial! Altamente recomendado! !

Este es un fantástico panadería enfrente de la escuela alemana en Richmond.Gente muy amable y los productos de panadería están hechos a mano y absolutamente deliciosa. Especialmente el pan, lo cual es todo recién horneado en el horno de leña. Esto es muy exclusivo y da una increíble sabor a cada producto.Altamente recomendado!

Finalmente, una panadería increíble Richmond! Encontré este lugar mientras van a trabajar. Es una panadería móvil y los dos propietarios muy amable oferta de pasteles, galletitas saladas, sandwiches y café, etc. . . Tuve un croissant, un sándwich y una magdalena pretzel hasta ahora. . Todo excelente!. Creo que están aquí mañana entre semana sólo - sin duda lo recomendaría. Una adición bienvenida en el barrio.
