Sweet's kitchen in Walsall

Been craving some real soul food for sometime, and after only being in Aldridge a few weeks after moving from Dorset, where caribbean food is rare to find. I can say you've put the biggest smile on my face! This is the first time since I lived in Bristol that I can highly recommend this place. Every mouthful was bursting with flavour and I enjoyed every single mouthful, I had brown stew chicken with hard food/veg, and ordered a side of coleslaw, plantain, rice and peas. out of this world 11/10!

First delivery order from this establishment. It was mouthwatering delicious! Arrived within half an hour and was very hot and very tasty. Had to ring the lady and compliment her straight away. Never done that before!! Will be ordering again and again.😋😋😋

The size of my fried dumpling for £1.00 was a joke. Chicken size was tiny, the cost of the meals should be worth paying the price. There’s more rice than chicken on bone. Tasty sure, but also very dry.

I ordered £10.50 large stew chicken rice & peas with veg. The food didn’t taste bad it was quite decent if I’m honest my issues were I could taste sugar in the chicken which could be problematic for diabetics, secondly the food portion was quite small for £10.50 especially when other establishments give more food for the money. Would i return ?? Yes if Nicole stops being tight with the food 😂🤣😂

10/10 curried mutton, would prefer it spicy but it was still amazing, meat fell apart and the flavours were dancing on my taste buds haha, deffo buying again!

The delivery time was spot on but the food was abysmal. I had jerk chicken with rice and peas which for me was not nice at all... didnt taste fresh and the jerk sauce wasnt to my taste. The dumpling wasn't fresh and had a funny taste. The macaroni and cheese was the worst, zero taste and ut was like they'd sprinkled cheese on the top and microwaved it. Steamed veg was probably the best part but for 1.50 extra for something that should come with a dinner it was mediocre at best. Really disappointing. The whole meal was microwaved and just not worth the money.

First time ordering from sweets kitchen. I've never tried this sort of food. I would highly recommend trying. I had friend chicken w/ rice and peas, mac n cheese and a can old Jamaica pineapple soda The chicken was fabulous, cooked just right and thw flavourings in the rice, mixed with the texture of different veggies really bought the dish out and complimented everything. The mac n cheese was great too, amazing ratio of cheese to pasta. The soda was refreshing, I've never had it before but 100% would order again. If you're looking to try something new, sweets kitchen has you covered. Thanks sweets kitchen for an amazing meal, really enjoyed!!!!

Google says its open until 10pm. I'm here now at 9pm and the shop is closed. I drove 30 minutes to get here because of the good reviews and I wanted to try something new. In every other cuisine - they close when they say they close. It's only Caribbean restuarants that open late and close early. You just never know with them. One day I hope to see a Jamaican restuarant owner who prioritises good service, and that includes getting simple things straight such as your opening times.

The food is always Superb here!! Compliments to the chef and Team...my daughter and I regularly order from here on the days we don't feel like cooking and the food just keeps getting better and better!!💯🙌🏾

Very 1st time using this place tonight and I honestly can say food was amazing definitely worth the money. Plenty of melt in the mouth meat steamed veg boiled rice n peas was cooked to perfection. Will definitely be using this place more often. ☺️

Food was delicious as always! Ordered the stewed chicken with rice and peas. The chicken was so tender, it fell right off the bone and had perfect seasoning. The rice and peas were incredible. Every time I come here the food is unreal. Restaurant is owned by a lovely family. 100% recommend.

Food fit for a Champ! I stopped off at this little gem on my way to London and it packs a punch (no punch intended). Service was bombastic and I really enjoyed the sexy juice and jerk chicken! Lord have mercy it was amazing.

Nothing was available, no option for anything but rice n peas and some cannot eat it .. had to feed the others in the house but I will not be wasting my money again , not even a option for white rice is crazy !!!!!! And no hard food available not even steam veg no point opening really not hard to rearrange some veg or boil some feeen banana etc 👎🏽

Food is okay probably not got the most flavour I’d say it’s probably been microwaved and not cooked fresh but it is nice and good quality for the price

The curry mutton was nice however needed more of the sauce.

Firstly I am not one to write reviews however you guys really deserve the credit. I ordered this evening after a long day and the food is just really really lovely!!! The portion size is excellent (I am a massive foodie). The dumplings were fresh, the mutton was just right however I have had spicier before but I didn’t mind. Like the fact it is boneless, veg lovely and salt and pepper wings also lovely. Food come hot and fresh. Lovely delivery driver. Will definitely order again. Thank you ☺️

Ordered food online as I’d seen such good reviews about this place, unfortunately we were very disappointed. We wanted to order the jerk chicken but there was none left, so we picked boneless mutton and rice and peas instead, with Mac and cheese. There wasn’t much mutton, we were given white rice instead of rice and peas and the Mac and cheese was literally just cooked macaroni with a blob of melted cheese on top. That is not Caribbean style Mac and cheese! Very disappointed, especially with the price you pay for food , you expect a higher standard and quality of food.

The food was great so tasty! The gravy on the fried chicken was so good, the festival was nice and fluffy, However i wish there was more plantain only four thin pieces :( Also delivery time was so quick. Will 100% be ordering again. Nice to have a local Caribbean shop as none are around this area.

Rice was very bland, mutton curry was OK but very little sauce so made it dry. Ordered steamed veg but received coleslaw so overall it wasn't the best

Food is amazing here! Alway on time, hot and favourful! It is also NOT oily which is rare. The portion sizes are great so definitely worth your money. We collect normally and the staff are always pleasant and friendly. Can’t wait to order again! Thank you

At last!!! A decent Jamaican take out in the area!! The fried chicken rice and peas was to die fir! Adequate coleslaw and powder soft dumplings!! Food arrive hot and on time! Im extremely fussy about my food as a regular cook of my traditional Jamaican cuisine BUT this was outstanding! Very well done💯💯💯
