Ordered and PAID for a bacon and egg sandwich 20 minutes later….nothing! Got up and walked out absolutely discussing service! How long does it take to cook a sandwich FFS! 👎👎

What a lovely place to eat in - fantastic food - freshly cooked home made to order. Fantastic atmosphere-clean, friendly-what more can you ask for -delicious mushroom omelettes !

Fabulous, well presented breakfast. Cannot fault this cafe and very friendly staff!

Had a very delicious sandwich but the reason for my review is that the customer service is excellent. I did not want to wait inside the café as I had my dogs in the car, so was going to pop back in to collect after ordering. Instead the staff member brought my food out to me. Considering my car was parked around the corner and out of sight, I just thought that was a really nice thing to do. When you get great customer service, it makes a massive difference

Outstanding value, service and food. The dining are is spotless clean, heated and very pleasant. Not canteen style and dull. Cook everything to order, as you like it. Well done, crispy, runny, hard.. Swap any item for anything. No restrictions.

Great quality breakfasts. amazing value. The place is spotlessly clean, friendly, fast service - what can I say more! Nothing is too much trouble, will swap what you want and cook everything the way you want it. Small breakfast shown but swapped hash for black pudding and cones with 2 toast. Breakfast was £5.50 Tea - £1.50.

Helpful ... polite and friendly Good food

Hello we ordered two sausage and mushroom sandwiches on Friday and were very surprised at how bad they were. The bread was saturated and turned to mush on the one side and tested of grease. Not sure if you've a new cook but never had a bad sandwich from u before. Thanks Sarah

Really clean lovely little cafe with great staff and our food was so good! We had a BLT toasted & a portion of perfectly fried crispy chips. The sandwich was packed and the bacon was good quality. Service was great. Popped in again today & it's still a great cafe with generous portions

Beautiful tuna melt toasted sandwich and came nicely presented and with a side salad & coleslaw - all for only 4.50 so I was very pleased. Nice friendly atmosphere and staff. Would recommend and will be going again 👍

Came in today wirh my friend for breakfast we've eaten here before and have always enjoyed the breakfasts and sandwiches good value for money tasty hot and freshly cooked ..However today they were very busy I had a bacon and egg sandwich both of which were rock hard which was dissapionting as they are usually the best around here . I appreciate that they were very busy this morning but as we were finishing our drinks a member of staff came up to us and asked if she could put a reserved note on our table ..we were a bit taken aback especially when she said " you have eaten ".My friends son and granddaughter arrived at this piont to jion us for a drink and something to eat but we felt as though we were being pushed out so someone else who was waiting could have our table so we left . Dissapionted today as the staff are usually .friendly and accommodating. .

We don’t live locally but we came here a couple of months ago when we were in the area. The place was packed but the staff moved things around to make space for us all, everyone was lovely and the food was great! So after that, being back in the area I stopped in for breakfast yesterday. It was quiet this time so I got my food really quickly. I only ordered (and was charged for) a small breakfast but received extra sausages and bacon. Happy days! I also had a BLT for later and an americano. Al tasted great. Didn’t disappoint a second time 👍🏻🙂.

Great cafe for a butty and coffee and staff always laughing.

6 of us turned up on the off chance for breakfast on the weekend and the staff were amazing at tying to accommodate us. All of the food was served freshly cooked and hot and was really tasty. My son had the sausage bacon and egg muffin and said it was the best he’d ever tasted. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and the cafe is lovely and clean and cosy. The only downside was the coffee. 3 of us who had it said It was quite weak and bland. Otherwise a perfect breakfast stop. We’ll definitely go back to try the lunch menu.

Just got turned away and so did the guy in front of me. Apparently they have 2 big factory orders so wait on food is at least an hour!! Wasn’t even asked what it was I wanted. It’s good to know that some businesses are doing so well in this economic crisis that they can turn people away!! Oh well I’m off to the burger van outside Great Barr Saw Mills - never had a bad sandwich there or being turned away. Clare you need to be able to deal with walk in customers. I wouldn’t mind but it was empty not even one person having even a cuppa - very poor 😏

Busy little place sometimes to busy but always good food at a reasonable price

I’ve been here twice now and boy am I impressed!!! The restaurant is bright, clean and comfy and a delight to sit and eat. Breakfasts are out of this world. They are really well presented and you certainly can’t complain about portion size. I’m a big lad (or so my mom says) and I can’t stand minuscule portions or menus that offer a slice of toast and a choice of 3 items at prices I would say say that it’s customary in this country to wear a mask before taking your money. Here they don’t give that option as the portion they offer is WAY worth the money. The staff are really friendly and well presented. There is no hassle to hurry you out once you’ve eaten and they always go one stage further if they can’t offer what you want. Today they ran out of bacon so made sure there was extra on the plate to accommodate the missing bits. I really do recommend this place and I’ll certainly be looking forward to coming back for more! (Can’t at the moment as I’m still stuffed!)

First experience of Clare's but will definitely be calling again. Had 2 scrumptious sandwiches, bacon and egg and sausage and egg, both lovely! Place was spotlessly clean and staff extremely pleasant.

I went for a second date and everything was great. The staff are realy friendly and the food was delicious. I would definitely recommend the hit chocolate, it's easily the best I've had a while. We had a lovely time and I would easily recommend it

To greasy sandwiches are dripping with greasy not my type of place

Good food, reasonable prices, staff are friendly and accommodating, children are welcome and where possible staff are willing to change the menu slightly for children. Have visited a few times and not had any bad experiences. Always clean and welcoming. Also do take away sandwiches.

Work local to here and always order the jacket potato, cooked to perfection , lovely clean place with pleasant service, owners are lovely and welcoming, would definitely recommend a visit as you won't be disappointed

Stopped by here for a quick bite to eat and I was pleasantly surprised at how great the place was. Sat on a quiet little road of the Collingwood and they serve top nosh food. The ham & cheese toastie with chips is an absolute banger.

We are now firm regulars to the cafe. Claire and Rob are great hosts, the food is fantastic and huge portions. Always a warm welcome from them. Carole who is front of house is my absolute favourite.

Just took mom for breakfast here, good sized plate full, very good value for money. Lovely place. Very friendly well worth a visit.

A colleague and myself arrived early for an appointment nearby and stopped in for a quick cuppa. We were particularly impressed with how clean and pristine the place looked, pleasantly decorated and very clean. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and though we didn't actually have anything to eat (due to time constraints) what we saw looked delightful. Great value too.
