Kitchen Of Spice in Walsall

We visited the place with our kids 7 & 9 yrs old on 02.06.2023. The ambience was great. We ordered Matar Paneer, Roti and Naan. The food was served hot and fresh. It was so delicious that all four of us kept thanking them for such a nice curry and awesome Rotis. The naans were equally tasty. Upon asking the price of salad but not ordering, the owner offerred the salad to us for no cost. I sincerely want to thank her for being so nice and generous. My kids loved the perfectly cooked, well sized chapatis and couldn't have enough of the Matar Paneer till the last spoon left. The best thing worth mentioning here is that they cooked the food right according to our request and it was just too good 👍👍👍👍👍...I highly recommend this place for a warm, tasty & delicious, fresh cooked food as well as great service and not at all expensive compared to the quality of food offered. I didn't have such a great food anywhere in UK in last 24 days of my UK TRIP. Amazing food with an even more amazing range of Vegan / Plant Based options. Good quality and taste was great with a very impressive service time. Vegan and non-vegan menu options were explained in detail upon request. Staff were friendly as was the atmosphere. No complaints and I recommend you visit. As a bonus to the above, prices were very impressive.

This was our first time dining in kitchen of spice. For starters we had aloo tikki (my personal favourite!), paneer tikki, chicken tikka, samosa chaat. For mains we had chicken biryani, lamb rogan josh, tadka daal, garlic naan, laccha paratha. Everything was so delicious! Such authentic taste and you can tell the owners are so passionate about the food. There was not one item we could fault. The hospitality was amazing too, really catered to all our requests. This is a gem in Walsall!

Freshly cooked in premises with fresh ingredients. Taste great with no bad tummy curry in a hurry problems! I'll definitely come back for more. The staff are lovely and happy to chat and the seating area is warm and welcoming.

The worst takeaway I have ever had. The portions were microscopic. Chips were soggy. Chickpeas were in the sauce container so you can imagine how small the portions are. Bhatura tinny as well. Small portion fish and chips was in small plastic container and still took half a space in it. It wouldn’t be enough even for a child. Also ordered chicken pani puri and did not receive any chicken with it but potatoes??? The water with it was tasteless. Most of it gone in the bin. Absolute waste of money!

The greatest onion baaji you will ever eat. My boys being strict vegetarians love it here. All food cooked fresh on order and its lovely. Real Indian food and lovely cups of chai!

After hearing of the new menu and the grand reopening, I had to come see what KoS had to offer. I was diligently greeted by a lovely woman, the owner of the shop who talked me through the menu and the wide variety of options they have. I found it utterly remarkable how they offered so many different options, vegetarian, vegan and halal! The decor is stunning, creating a beautiful and unique family-based atmosphere. The staff were really friendly and the aromas continued to fill my nostrils the entirety of my visit, it was a scintillating experience. When my food arrived it was exotic, I ordered a lamb karahi, paneer tikka, garlic naan and chips. The food was SENSATIONAL! I had to order again once I got home with my family (seeing as they were offering this crazy 50% off!) If you’re based in Walsall and need somewhere to go instead of the usual McDonalds, I urge you to visit Kitchen of Spice! I assure you won’t be disappointed but amazed at the flavours and decadence of this food :)

Very tasty food and friendly staff. It is very nice to see a vegetarian only restaurant in the centre of Walsall, though I think it is a bit of a shame they are changing their menu to add meat but I'm sure it will open more opportunities for them as a business. The food was reasonably priced and I'm very satisfied with the portions we had and you can also ask what level of spicyness you would prefer. I really recommend the butter chicken curry it was full of so much flavour! My friends who aren't vegetarian were very satisfied with their food too. The only thing I would maybe change are the interior decorations, they are a bit dull. I will definitely come back here even when meat is on the menu but I shall definitely vouch for the vegetarian options over all other options.

Despite being a work in progress this is a jewel of a place: explosive yet delicate flavours, subtle and unexpected. Currently vegan, there will soon be a meat section. This place has huge promise and the owner seems to know exactly what she wants. A feather in Walsall’s culinary cap!

I was making my way to a well known chain to try their vegan burger offering when I happened upon this place (I had seen it before, but it had slipped from my memory), so I thought I’d pop in and give it a try and I’m so glad I did. I only wanted something ‘snacky’ so opted for the Kebab in Wrap. There was no description as to its contents, but as I’m not a fussy eater, I thought I’d wait until it turned up to find out. I could hear and smell it being cooked, fresh to order. Best thing I’ve eaten from a vegan takeaway in a long time. Wish I’d ordered two.

We had a takeaway for 3 people and it was absolutely fantastic: I wasn't sure about vegan Indian food (it was my daughter's choice) but it was outstanding - beautifully cooked, nicely spiced and delicious. Great staff was well. Would thoroughly recommend.

Excellent service, brilliant Vegan food and drinks. We had a really nice lunch, testing the experience for a Vegan relative. We were very impressed, and will come back on a regular basis.

We were a group of 8 and sat on 2 tables. We were very impressed with the menu and made our choices. The lady took our order and we waited patiently for the food. We were all starving! As it came out, it was apparent that the order hadn't been taken correctly. We ordered 2 lots of fries but 4 lots came out. Then another waitress arrived who informed us that 2 of our mains were not available (this was around 40 minutes after arrival). One of our group ordered something else as her's wasn't available and our table ordered more of a dish that we already had. As it was the same dish (Manchurian) they assumed it to be for the same person and only bought out 1. When we said that actually it was 2 that were ordered, they did make another but it clearly wasn't the same! In fact, it tasted disgusting. We then ordered Indian tea. This is the weakest tea that we have ever had! We could only taste ginger and none other of the spices that the menu promised. We were scared to complain but when we did, instead of apologising, the lady insisted that we were in the wrong and she HAD told us those dishes were not available! Regarding the tea, she said English people don't like it too milky! We're Indian! It wasn't just the wait but the attitude of the staff implying that we're either stupid or deaf! As a strict vegetarian, I was so looking forward to a suitable restaurant opening near to where I live. However, it was a major let down! I shall not be returning nor recommending this to my many local veggie friends!

It's good food and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend people try this place. Paratha are good. Chana/cholay is also good. You can ask them to make it spicy as well

Lovely people and amazing food. It's made fresh so they can adjust the spice level to your needs. Great little gem, feel lucky to have a vegan/vegetarian Indian restaurant so close to me, I come here often now. 10/10 would recommend

Sukhwinder prepared everything freshly , well worth the wait when you know it isn’t prepared In advance or nuked to death with microwave . Her soya chicken dishes were yummy (destroyed instantly by the kids) , will be back for sure . You won’t be disappointed.

The food was really nice. Mot too spice but had taste to it. The tea was excellent and the staff were really friendly. Definitely recommend it!!!

Me and my family love this place. Very calm Atmosphere, very good for my autistic toddler and the food is lovely. It's always cooked fresh by hand for us and they go the extra mile for us. Very nice place to eat, it's becoming our safe space in walsall Town centre. Very grateful for this amazing vegan restaurant ❤

Can't recommend highly enough. A huge vegan and vegetarian menu, delicious food and extremely friendly staff. My mother placed an order for my birthday and upon collection, the staff had got me a birthday card, some chocolate cakes and a bunch of flowers - I've never been so touched by the thoughtfulness of a business. A heartfelt thank you for making my birthday even more special.

Kitchen of spice is a lovely little cafe serving delicious food. Today I had the samosa chaat with vegan yogurt which was very tasty. The family are very friendly and accommodating too.
