Swan Inn in Bridgend

Had a really lovely breakfast here at a fantastic price. I went for the small breakfast which was ample for me. You get a juice/coffee/tea in with the price, real bargain. The waiter was really nice and the whole place was immaculate

Worst experience ever resulting in a booking of 10 people leaving

Absolutely horrendous service! No care or manner at all towards customers. Politely asked how long our table would be as booked for a certain time and wasn’t ready, were very rude and not one bit of care or an apology for the fact they couldn’t even give us a time it would be ready.

Arrived for an arranged darts tournament in a local league... stood at the bar waiting to be served for over 10 minutes, watching as the bar staff (2 members) totally ignored us over and over again to serve their cronies and people they knew. Disgusting service!!! I didn't think this kind of, or lack of, customer service existed anymore, but these people need extensive training in customer service.

I just had a Sunday lunch from the swan well what can I say one thing 10/10 I advise anyone visiting the swan inn please have a big appetite as the food is so good and you get more than your monies worth please don't take my word for it give it a try for yourself The owners are very nice people nothing is too much trouble for them to make your visit very enjoyable. so please have a visit have a meal and you will be writing a good review like me ,tell all your friends ,family and fb friends give the Swan Inn Aberkenfig a try

I just had a Sunday dinner from the swan the food was exceptional top quality you get so much for your money Great value every time highly recommend this place to everyone and not just for the Sunday meals lovely people very friendly place to go and the beer is second to none

I rang on the off chance to see if I could book to Sunday lunches. The choice of meats was really good and the price was excellent. I explained that my parents lived local to the pub but due to their age they would not be able to collect the meal and if there was any way they could help by delivering the food. They agreed that they would take the food to my parents home. Fantastic service, I was so pleased and glad I could get home cooked food to my parents. The food was so tasty my mum explained and the portion was huge. Lots of veg and a choice of potatoes. So thanks to the team at the Swan for helping me and delivering two lovely Sunday lunches.

Good all round food from a very popular Pub Inn Located in the village between Aberkenfig & Penyfai, Near Bridgend. Sunday dinners especially are popular with locals we go there every Sunday with a good choice of food choices.

Fantastic Sunday dinner and love curry night on a Wednesday. Excellent friendly service. Bring cash though no card machine.

Absolutely tasty Sunday lunches

This place does a fab Sunday lunch at a reasonable price. Plenty of meat and a gravy jug for each lunch. You can choose a small or regular lunch to suit your appetite. Not a very big place so would recommend to book. Friendly staff and they also do a vegetarian option. They also do take away lunches. Well worth a visit.

Very tasty Sunday roast. We visited for the first time last week. The young staff work extremely hard here and are very polite, friendly and professional. The food was served to us piping hot with ample amounts of meat, potatos, veg and gravy and all at a very reasonable cost. Plenty of desserts to choose from also Would most definitely recommend and will be returning one day soon.

Had our first Sunday roast here today and can honestly say it was delicious. It came out boiling hot, with ample sized portions and the young staff were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Excellent value for money. Adult meals at only £6.50! Would definitely recommend and will be returning.

We attended a funeral buffer there. A nice clean place which catered well for the occasion.

Been here a few times over the past few months with friends to watch football on BT Sports, but last night I tried the food for the first time. Not a bad little menu, consisting of steak, gammon, mixed grill etc. But also they have a separate curry menu out of which I had the Welsh Black Beef Curry Half & Half with Naan. Curry was very tasty and decent sized portion too. Good value for £6.95! Wednesday they do a Curry Night which you get a pint included and Saturday they apparently do 2 Mixed Grills for £17

Recently found this place proper home cooked food always hot and really tasty .we came Mother's Day and even though really busy still had plenty of time to give us attention especially Chris who even paid himself for a free drink for us so appreciated it .fabulous service and fabulous food

Good Sunday lunch served carvery style. Shame that the soft drinks were served warm but the staff were friendly and helpful. Car parking can be difficult and the restaurant gets really busy though this shows how popular it is.

Nos encanta salir a cenar por nuestra comida de domingo y nuestro preferido decidimos parar para llevar. Estábamos bastante devastadas y pensé que nunca encontrar un lugar para igual. Comenzamos probará diferentes restaurantes y bares en la zona de bridgend. La mayoría fueron bien, simplemente satisfactorio. Un amigo me sugirió el Swan Inn en Aberkenfig, así que reservamos. ¡Qué descubrimiento maravilloso! Un pequeño pub, decorado con muy buen gusto en tonos violetas y cremas y personal muy amable. Nos llevaron a nuestra mesa. Había un montón de espacio entre las mesas que es útil si lleva un pariente anciano, y tener que les ayuda a conseguir una mesa. Los camareros y las camareras son muy educados y no puede hacer más por ti. Hay mucha variedad en el menú regular y el domingo menú. La carne del domingo asado es abundante y de muy buen gusto. Todos los asados incluir morcilla, relleno de Yorkshire, asado parsnip y patatas asadas y también un plus adicional 5 verduras un montón de sabrosa salsa y las salsas apropiados para cada carne. Fue absolutamente deliciosa. Nos habían encontrado finalmente nuestro nuevo 'local' para nuestra comida de los domingos. Los postres son también excelentes, pero acuérdate de dejar espacio para ellos! Los precios son muy razonables, pero por favor asegúrate de reservar. Estoy encantado que encontramos El Swan Inn en Aberkenfig. Merece la pena una visita. Os garantizo que no te decepcionará!

Only a little pub, but Colin and staff cook the best meals ever from homemade curries to a fabulous mixed grill and the best Sunday lunch, the prices are really cheap, for Sunday lunch you must book as small place gets very busy
