Swaddesh in Bridgend

Ordered at 6.15 but didn’t get food until 9:15, called numerous time and kept getting told 10 more minutes for an hour straight - so frustrating, when food arrived it was cold. Will not be ordering again !!!

We ordered online through just eat and our food took over two hours to arrive from time of order. We called twice in this time to ask for an update but no helpful information was given. The driver never called to tell us how late he was or where he was. No money was refunded. The food was cold and had to be reheated. Not an ideal takeaway experience.

Ordered chicken saag and several sides, perfection. They delivered early and it was still piping hot.

Review is for delivery. Food is very good, service and delivery is absolutely terrible. Over 2 hrs and still no food. And have the cheek to charge for delivery! It’s getting worse too. Longer every time!

Absolutely stunning food, we had the delivery service, came a day early unfortunately due to this stupid virus and us ordering online But may I say that they gave us the food for free and free meals for the day we requested! Cannot fault them and will definitely order again and recommend to others, thank you so much and sorry about the mix up! Stay safe all AMAZING XXX

I was in the area and desperate for something to eat, I'd been to Swaddesh about a year ago and wasn't impressed.Had it improved ? no ! I'd have been better off getting a bagette from AsdaI ordered a veg Bhaji...what was Bhajied about it i dont know it was more an excuse to get rid of some left over veggie bits. The Lamb Jamdhani? God it was awful, very runny "sauce" or gravy which had been spiced up to drown the lamb - which was the cheapest cut possible , probably breast, which was over cooked and ad turned into tough gristle, and accompanied by an adequate rice which had bits of chicken in it.I hope the DiL's cats enjoyed what I leftGo again? dont be silly

Well worth a visit. Three friends met for a meal on Friday evening. I am local and like Indian food but had never visited this establishment before. I have left it far to long to visit. The food was amazing as was the service. Will definitely return the food staff and experience was fantastic.

A few of us (14) met up here to enjoy a good catch up and have some lovely food. We weren’t disappointed. We booked for the Sunday buffet which is served until 9pm, but I think you do have to book. The food was delicious, we all thoroughly enjoyed the variety and choices of the dishes and the service was excellent too.

Currymass let down It goes to show don’t ever read into media hype and Award Ceremonies Winners what the hell do they know .I should have know better to trust them .Food very average . If not poor better curry’s elsewhere !! Xmas menu starters and mains all came as one had to hurry table had to be turned over so we had to move off table as new customers had arrived and we were late desserts had to be eaten at the bar .To be honest the experience was poor and cold .Be careful of AWARD WINNERs are they justified or are they a scam !!

We have ordered twice from Swaddesh and both times the food has been consistently good quality and well prepared. The website is a pleasure to deal with and has a countdown facility which is good and they exceeded both times! Good choice of classic dishes - The only niggle is they are expensive...

Ordered a takeaway and wasn't impressed at all. Very little meat, mostly sauce, and everything tasted the same. Expensive for what you get. You can get the same thing at grocery stores for a lot less.

We are locals who have tried most of the Indians in the area, and this is by far the best! Food and service were both a 10/10, no qualms at all. Keep up the good work - and thankyou very much!

Haven’t had food from here since it changed and will be a while until I have again. Had a take away and was very disappointing. It arrived and was cold not the end of the world but expected it to be at least half warm as we are only a 5 min drive away. the bread was hard with no taste - as if it was stale. Chips were fries again no big deal but they were soggy. Curry itself was ok and dips were nice. Feel it was expensive for what we got! Free bottle of bud with the order which was a nice touch but I will trying somewhere different next time.

Went there for my birthday as a couple lovely furniture but that's about it.the food is very expensive so is the drinks.bland no taste what so ever. All the dishes tasted the same not an exentive menu not like other places awful.plus staff are watching u all the time very uncomfortable.

My wife & I dined here this week, great choice & superb food. Service is also very good & attentive.......much improved on "The Bengal Lounge" as it was once called. On a cold night the place is now warm & inviting.

8 of us had a fab meal here last night,we all something different,and everyone thoroughly enjoyed,the staff were great really attentive and friendly,nothing was to much trouble,will definately be returning

Just finished our tasty take away. This was our second one. Can't fault it..;-)) Very fast delivery, and they gave us two complementary bottles of bud..Happy days ;-))) You must try this place.;-)) (going to try the Sunday buffet soon.!!

Having taken over the premises previously occupied by Bengal Lounge in Kenfig Hill in late December 2018, we have now eaten at Swaddesh on a couple of occasions. The ambience, staff and management are all very pleasant and although not busy (there were less than ten diners when we were there yesterday evening, 24th January) the presentation and quality of food seems to be very good. The meals including drinks was in excess of £60 for two but for a special occasion would be acceptable.

Beautiful food and presentation.Very friendly and efficient staff and service. Enjoyed eating in the restaurant.Also had takeaway which can be ordered online in advance for collection or delivery. Highly recommended!
