Where to begin my awful experience at sushimania , let's start with the service the waiters where awfully rude , we asked them questions concerning allergies and general questions about the food they where very dismissive of the questions and made us feel very uncomfortable after asking them , on top of this after our staff questions we could hear 3 staff members discussing our questions and then looking other to us and laughing this made us feel very uncomfortable and unhappy with our service , on to the food one peace of food came and it wasn't what we where expecting at all we didn't fully know what where getting because they didn't answer or care about questions on top of this the food took ages to arrive even though there was only a couple over tables and when it came it arrived cold and some of it was inedible this is absolutely disgusting. When I went to complain about the food the women told us that we had to put with what we where given and pay and if we wanted anything else we would have to pay extra for it which would be ok normalt but because our food came cold and wrong they weren't even decent enough to put it correct. Over all an absolutely awful experience and I certainly woudnt recommend there , servers are Rude and belittling and made us feel uncomfortable and the food was just down right awful

Sushimania Whetstone has a terrible customer service. Some of the staff and the night duty manager on 10th Nov 2023 was so rude. He insisted on separating us from our family as we only wanted to order from A la carte menu due to dietary needs. My family ordered 4 bottomless meal. He humiliated us and never apologised. If we wanted to cheat, my family could have ordered 1 bottomless meal for 6 of us. I tried to email the Head office but they never came back to me. Their contact number and email are not working.

The venue is very pleasant with ample space between tables, the staff is friendly and the food was served fresh and with very little delay between orders. Emelie was very friendly with us and she did care about our experience making sure everything was ok. Since I was new to ordering via QR code she took the time to explain how this works.

So I have visited this restaurant on a number of times. We have ordered from the all you can eat buffet and from the A La carte menu. The food on the A La carte menu besides have a larger variety is much tastier. The buffet menu is also very good, a great option if you are really hungry, still has a huge variety to choose from. Everything was freshly made. I love the fact they have now gone digital to order from buffet, makes it so much easier and definitely more professional.

I eat here regularly. The half price deal is on every lunchtime. Very good food. I can feed my entire family including two kids for around £40 and we all leave happy and very full. I would highly recommend.

We Had a lovely lunch visit here with the kids, I booked a table the day before as it was halfterm and thought it may be busy (it was). You order through the app which was easy enough as there are pictures of each item so you can see exactly what your ordering. We went for the main menu which was half price on every dish. Food was plentiful and lovely. Really nice sushi! Will definitely visit again when I’m in the mood for sushi.

I visited with friends to celebrate my birthday. The service was appalling. Rude staff and left us waiting ages to be served, despite the restaurant being quiet. We opted for the ‘all you can eat’ and waited ages to order, then spoken to rudely when finally ordering and had politely asked a question about the ordering process. The guy literally shouted at me for no reason and walked off. The food was really tasty (thank god) but it definitely needed more variety. They kept bringing us plates of noodles for the table which we didn’t order (a tactical move to fill us up quicker). Then came to pay only to find they had charged us double the service charge and wouldn’t account for the extra £38 on top of our bill. It didn’t add up. I felt really embarrassed for my friends and just wanted to leave. We paid the bill and left quietly. We were totally ripped off. Please spend your money at another Japanese establishment

We decided to try this restaurant for lunch. It was clean and well-presented. Emily served us. She was outstanding. She was friendly and helpful. She was very nice to our child. She looked after us and we appreciated how friendly and understanding she was towards child, even though he was messy. There was an Oriental male member of staff who was also nice to us. The food was very good. The sushi was fresh and the curry was nice. The half price offer suited us and we look forward to returning. The only downside was an old Oriental woman who was complaining about our child moving around. She was rude. Thank God for the service provided by Emily and the male staff member, who were family-friendly.

Attended here for a business meeting with two other people. We ordered our first batch of food, which was lovely. We then decided to order some more. The second batch took around 45 minutes to come and by that time, we were no longer hungry as it was getting late in to the evening. We ate a little bit of the second batch of food and asked for the bill. The bill was delivered to us and we paid it. Upon our exit, the manager started shouting at us, whilst we were in mid-convo that we were going to pay more, as there was, what he considered to be, waste. I informed him that we had already paid the bill and that was final. He was shouting even louder. I then explained to him that he failed to bring to our attention that there may be additional costs for what they consider to be waste and that he cannot impose such terms on us after we had paid. He said he informed us and showed us his paper menu. I then informed him that we ordered through an app, based on his instruction and showed him that his app did not state that either. We continued to walk out and he was constantly shouting abuse at us and said he was calling the police and that he would shoot me. He even got someone to chase us to our car which i did not take lightly. I am still awaiting for the Police to arrive. He did not want to listen to the fact that they took 45 minutes to bring out the food. I feel that they try these silly tactics on throughout various of their branches (looking at various reviews and especially at Golders Green) to try and con people out of money. Picked on the wrong person this time buddy! Although we were told that we were not welcome here again, we would not have gone anyway based on that service. EatTokyo is much better and although not a buffet, much better value for money. TO summarise, food was ok, but the manager needs a good reality check and to learn basic manners and pass them on to his staff.

Tried to book a table, called at 6:30pm for a table for 7pm. It takes us 30 mins to get there, so wanted to make sure we could get a table. Chap on phone gave attitude as if to say ‘WTF! why you trying to book for a time that is half hour away!’ He said “just come and we will find you a table”. So we turned up and first question we were asked “have we booked?” I said I tried but you said to just turn up. He said, “we are too busy and cannot get a table until 8:30pm, is that ok? I said no, as we have come a long way. Had they said that we could not a table we would have not bothered going. Usually the food and service is really good, but on this occasion, have been left disappointed.

We came here one night during the week when the schools were out and we were offered a table with a view of the rocky gardens at the front and the bar on the other side. We had the option to go for All You Can Eat but decided on tasting some dishes from the usual menu. Enjoyed sampling a few dishes and the staff were on hand for advice and very quick to change one of our dishes because we made a mistake with the number as shown on their menu. The beer was nice and cold. We had a good time and will be back here again soon but next time it will be the All You Can Eat option because we paid about the same for a small selection of dishes.

Unfortunately our visit to sushimania is always ruined by poorly trained and rude staff, however this seems to stem from the top to bottom so not surprising as there is a lack of example of how to treat well paying/regular customers. Food is okay, nothing compared to Nippon Izakaya down the road which is top notch/fresh food.

Had a fantastic lunch here today, we are absolutely stuffed but the sushi was delicious. The service was excellent, really lovely staff and the the sushi was brought to the table quickly. Really good value for the bottomless sushi deal. Sat outside in the covered area, so when it rained it wasn’t a problem. The outdoor heaters kept us nice and warm. Definitely recommend this place!

Vine aquí con la familia y me encantó la comida. Cuando nos sentamos nos informaron que teníamos que ordenar fuera de la aplicación, que estaba bien, no me importó. Pedimos una variedad del menú a mitad de precio y todo lo que pedimos fue realmente bueno. La comida llegó rápido y probablemente hubiera sido mejor si hubiera salido más separada ya que apenas había espacio en nuestra mesa para colocar todos los platos. Al igual que los lugares similares que he visitado, no son conocidos por su servicio, así que no esperaba nada sorprendente, fueron agradables y lo suficientemente atentos a pesar de estar muy concurridos. Realmente me gusta la comida en Sushimania, así que volvería.

Le pregunté al gerente o supervisor (esta vez uno diferente), cómo es que salió el mismo precio cuando apliqué el bono y nuevamente de una manera muy grosera y despectiva me dijo que el descuento no aplica en este caso. Pregunté de qué sirve darme un vale por mi fidelidad cuando obtengo lo mismo con el descuento regular. No tuvo respuesta, solo dijo: "si no quieres la comida está bien", tomó la bolsa y se fue.

Este era nuestro lugar favorito de sushi, después de haber visitado al menos una vez al mes durante los últimos dos años. Sin embargo, cuando fuimos hace unos días, todo había cambiado. Para aquellos que luchan por escuchar sin poder leer los labios, una máscara usada por el camarero no ayudó. Pedimos comida online y la recogimos en persona con un 30% de descuento. La comida estaba tibia, y desafortunadamente mi pollo en salsa de huevo dulce estaba muy cocido con huevos revueltos duros y secos. El salmón teriyaki tenía un charco de agua marrón en el recipiente, no dulce y pegajoso con sabor a parrilla como debería ser cuando está recién cocinado. Pedimos alrededor de las 4. 30 p. M. Y la primera hora de recogida eran las 6 p. M., Así que supongo que la comida se preparó demasiado pronto y no se suponía que debía estar en una bolsa de calor para llevar.

So their understanding of vegan or vegetarian is shocking. Vegetarian dishes cooked in same oil fish is cooked in and some dishes have fish sauce. Get with the programme Sushi Mania. Menu far too large to hunt for vegetarian symbols. Get a separate menu reduced to what vegetarians can eat. I suspect allergy control is poor. Also, for large parties they said order by 4/6 people in sections as the tables are laid out but they were incapable of then bringing that order to that section then under delivered so probably ripped us off. Very poor response from the manager who just said I'll speak to the server but no action taken. Won't be rushing back. Food ok.

He estado ansiando comida japonesa durante mucho tiempo y he querido comer en Sushimania durante años debido a la recomendación de amigos y colegas. Finalmente pude ir allí con mi familia la semana pasada. Fue recibido por un personal amable y nos explicó cómo ordenar y cuánto pedir, ya que era nuestra primera vez. Me sorprendió la calidad de la comida, muy fresca y sabrosa y por el precio absolutamente razonable y vale la pena. Disfruté la tempura de gambas, sashimi de salmón, nigiri de atún, katsu de pollo, teriyaki de pollo y ramen de carne. Incluso a los niños les encanta. Fue una experiencia totalmente agradable, ansia satisfecha. Definitivamente volveremos. Estamos ansiosos por volver allí el próximo mes.

Food as always is delicious, love the miso aubergine, seaweed salad and calamari. Wish I had ordered more salmon and avocado sushi! As a couple we were stuffed at a cost of 30 quid. However, despite service charge not being compulsory they sure go a long way into making u feel u can’t leave without paying for service! I was almost held at gunpoint once in the Edgware branch for not wanting to pay for service, I ate alone that day and didn’t feel the service was great, not bad but just not deserving of paying any extra. Now they make you download an app and order ur own food, they don’t ask u what drinks u want and in one visit i was left waiting for my water. The questioning and issue they made did put me off, I hope the management pay their staff fairly and don’t rely on service charge to pay or top up the salary of their employees! Some days the service is good, but never exceptional.

Since our first visit in Nov18, we've come back to this Sushi Mania (Totteridge branch) for 13 more times. To be honest, the quality of food and service standard were varied. Out of our 14 visits, 3 of them were excellent, 9 of them were average and 2 of them were poor. Food: We always went for their £17.80 buffet (the price has gone up this year). 2 of us would usually order about 22 dishes to share between us. I'm not going to go through each dish in detail but our favourites were Salmon sashimi, Chicken Teriyaki, Salmon and Avocado handrolls, Seaweeds, Fried Tofu in Teriyaki sauce, Beef Udon, Prawn Tempura, Inari Sushi and California rolls...etc. I have to highlight that the Salmon sashimi was always delicious, they were soft, tender and fresh. (except on one occasion when we were food poisoned!). Their teriyaki sauce was also lovely, not being too sweet and it's so addictive. Their prawn tempura was always amazing too. Their menu has got a huge sushi option and they all tasted above average (i.e. better than Yo Sushi and Wasabi). Although I've to state that their meat (i.e. beef & chicken) qualities were very inconsistent, sometimes they were tender and juicy but sometimes they were chewy, dry and inedible. I think it's really depending on what you ordered and your luck on the day. However, their foods are always "not bad" if you select more sushi dishes than meat (dishes).Restaurant and Customer Service: I think the restaurant looks good from the outside. It has got a good small Japanese style of a garden at the entrance and it's also quite spacious inside. There was enough room between tables and the seats were quite comfortable. The foods were always served fast to the table even when it's busy. Although on some occasions, they would miss some foods from our orders and sometimes other people foods were mistakenly arrived on our table, but the staffs always managed to mend the problems eventually. Staffs were generally helpful and polite, although you'd have to be patient during the peak hours as you could wave to the staffs for 10 minutes without any reply, plus I think what they could do better by simply saying thank you and goodbye to the customers at the door.Price: For the buffet, it's £17.80 per person which I think it's very good value. We always ordered a large bottle of water (£4.80) to share but overall, it's still good value for money. If we ordered the same quantity of food at Yo Sushi, it'd cost easily us £100 or more and they wouldn't taste as good as Sushi Mania. Overall, I'd highly recommend this branch to anyone who: i) truly like sushi, ii) wouldn't think £22-5 per person (including drink and tips) is expensive, iii) not being too fussy and remember this is ultimately a cheap buffet which does good quality food and it's not a Michelin star restaurant.Tips: 1) One thing I've to mention that if you bring someone with you, you won't be able to order buffet and normal set menu together as the restaurant has a policy that if you go for the buffet option, then everyone at the table would have to go with the buffet option. This is due to it's difficult for staffs to ensure that the non-buffet eating people wouldn't eat the buffet food. 2) Try not to go in the summer. We had been badly food poisoned shortly after we visited here in July. However, everything was fine after we re-visited this week. In general, foods here are safe and lovely all year, except for the summer.

First visit to this branch. I have been to other branches before. The restaurant is spacious with quite a number of tables. Decor is modern. To order you need a smart phone and download the App. It’s ok, not too difficult to navigate. We went for the permanent 1/2 price lunch offer. It is good value and it is nice. It needs to be in the context of price versus quality. We had a great lunch and would definitely return.

We used to go to Sushi Mania in Whetstone but the last time my daughter got ill with the food. We thought we gave it a try again and the same happened to me. It’s now obvious their food is not fresh and only them know what goes inside their kitchen. Not only that, the beef was tough and couldn’t eat most of it. I showed the waitress and she said it was difficult for them to know whether the beef was going to be chewy or not. Poor excuse as if they choose good quality beef it shouldn’t happen. Not ever again. I think the place is a health risk and the cheeky waitresses make the place a no go area.

Went here for lunch on a Saturday and it was great as it was not too busy. The one in Edgware Road can be packed. Although this is our second time at Sushi Mania, we were not entirely sure what we were doing especially it wasn’t the normal way of ordering in a restaurant so we felt a bit lost. It would have been very helpful if the gentleman who welcomed us explained the ways one can order food. We were given a menu and so we thought they changed how to avail of ‘bottom less’ so we ordered our food. While waiting we asked one of the staff about the ‘bottom less’ and she clarified it wasn’t what we were doing so called her manager and he kindly cancelled our order and gave us the usual ‘paper’ for the ‘bottom less’. It wasn’t untilLucia patiently explained to us the mechanics of “bottoms up” that we understood how it really works.

Ordered of the half price menu and we waited 20 mins after my order for my partners meal, when we questioned it the so called manager said the waitress forgot and didn’t understand our order even thought it’s written down on the order slips!! Don’t employ people that can’t speak English then!!! When we said we weren’t happy he became aggressive, rude and his customer service skills were non existent. He even said we shouldn’t of complained.....

I came here last year and experienced poor service and awful quality of food. I decided to give it another chance and nothing had changed. Had to get the attention of serveral waiters several times. And it took about 30 mins to give us the bill. Also our food would not arrive and would be ticked off the buffet without it ever turning up so we were constantly changing waiters to deal with this issue. The rice tasted like plastic, the avocado's inside the sushi was not fresh and more annoyingly the restaurant it too packed. Sat near the door I had customers leaning and lingering over my table. I almost refused to pay for such a terrible experience. Avoid this place it's not worth your money!

Had a nice night with great company and food. Shame for it all to be ruined by the disgusting behaviour of the staff. Upon arriving, I explained that two of my friends only wanted a few things off the a la cart and myself and one other wanted to order off the all you can eat. Was then rudely told that we would have to eat separately, or one after the other. This would have meant my friends awkwardly watching me eat!!! My friends were then forced to go for the all you can eat menu just to be able to sit together. The service was efficient during the meal, although staff were rude when making room for the food on the table. When it came to paying the bill, I asked if the 10% service charge was optional. I explained that we were university students and therefore do not have a lot of money, hence going for the £16.80 deal. The rude waitress started to argue with the fact that I didn’t have the money to pay the service charge and proclaimed that it was really bad if I didn’t pay it and I shouldn’t do that. I do not appreciate being argued with. She then went on to say that I should have mentioned that I was not going to pay the service charge before I sat down . Then she told us that service charge should only not be paid if the service was bad. I don’t know how she thought she gave a 5 start service when she was ARGUING WITH A STUDENT. She was unfriendly and incredibly rude. She changed the whole atmosphere amongst the table and turned what was a nice night into a very uncomfortable experience. Upon walking out the door, she ran over and said she made an exception as we are students. If this was said before the night could have ended very differently. Would never go again!! DO NOT RECCOMEND

Review: Found that this place and dropped in. Was busy but they had a table for us so didn't have to book. Ordered the all you can eat and was initially impressed by the speed and delicious food. As soon as i finished another plate came and another plate. I had to tell them i was full and the waitress looked dissapointed! Excellent restaurant

First and foremost, this place has great disabled access. The restaurant is easy to get in and out if whilst using a bulky chair and the staff quickly found a table that easily accommodated us without a fuss. Hats off to the great management of this.

We were a group of 18 (11 adults, 5 toddlers and 2 babies) tonight to dine at sushi mania tonight and I have to say I was pleasantly surprise by the excellent service esp from the manager Ricky. We arrived a bit late but he was very accommodating esp in terms of the toddlers not eating a lot. Thank you for that n20 branch!

I took my children as a holiday treat to Sushimania in Whetstone. I really wish I had not and had gone to one of the many other restaurants nearby. My kids love sushi and this seemed like an excellent choice, but I think they are a victim of their own success as they were very busy but seemed completely unable to cope.

Husband and I popped in quite late (half an hour before closing) yet the staff that must have been tired by then, were very friendly and helpful. Lovely Italian waiter that took his time to explain buffet system to us as first timers. Food was lovely and came swiftly. Nicely presented and reasonably priced.

We visited sushimania for the first time recently. I was a bit apprehensive as some of the reviews weren't great. We went for the bottomless option and I was really impressed with the food. There was plenty of choice with both hot/ non fish options in addition to sushi. The food was lovely and we had no complaints in that respect. The restaurant was quite busy but we had no problems in placing orders for more dishes. Service was fine, some of the waiting staff could have been friendlier, but no one was particularly bad and some staff were very pleasant. Overall we had a lovely time and we will go back.

We went to visit this resturant last week. I am very picky when it comes to shushi but I must say that I was pleasently impressed by the food and good customer after reading some the negative reviews on here. Upon arrival we were greeted by staff and and were approached by the waitress who waited with us until we were ready to order our food. She was very polite and attentive. There was a lot of variety on the menu and the prices were reasonable for a high street restaurant. The food took between 15 and 20 minutes to arrive, but during that time frame staff approached us and made sure that the food was on its way. When the food arrived it was well presented and looked appetising. I have to say that the food was delicious. It was freshly cooked, the meat dishes were succulent. We decided to order dessert, it was nice and very moreish.

Have been here for lunch a few times with friends and family. The food is always very nice - great variety and plenty of veggie options. Everything is beutifully prepared. Only suggestion is the wasabi should be a lot spicier. Staff are very friendly and helpful and service is quick. Fantastic value at lunch and nice for dinner too. Decor is nice and simple. Overall very enjoyable!

'All you can eat' service for £16.90. Great food, superb selection, good service. Not just sushi but also a wealth of other Japanese favourites too. Food fresh, tasty and delicious. Am not a connoisseur of Japanese food but it was certainly good enough for me !! Have been to several similar sushi restaurants and this is certainly up there with the best.

We went a few times and had both the all-you-can-eat option and the a la carte menu. In both cases, the food was very tasty and the service fast and friendly. definitely going to go back to this one with friends or just with my wife. the value for money is very impressive as well. Careful not to over order for the all-you-can-eat as the portions are pretty big. better start small on the first round so you can sample the food.

This was our first visit to this restaurant. There was a line outside to get in but that was only because the staff were to busy to seat people. We were given two menu and we asked for the hoist to explain the system and why two menu. This didn't happen to we just picked items from the menu with pictures. The other menu was a all you could eat for £17. As it turned out we only spent £15 each including drinks. The food we guest was nice and arrived quickly. Just a shame we didnt no more as we would have spent more and maybe return another time.

This place is fantastic for sushi and great terrace glass restaurant with plenty of sun. Can get little hot though. They seems very busy and staff aren't too friendly, but that's probably because they are too over worked! Better than the other branches as this is bigger and brighter, however parking is nightmare.

I love sushi mania. There a really wide range of choices available for a set price. Its not cheap, but you can keep going until you are truly stuffed! The food is delicious. Excellent range of hot and cold and there's lots of choice for non fish/sushi lovers too. It used to be an ASK restaurant and they have done a great job with the renovation.

We visited Bank Food & Drink in Mill Hill last night for dinner and drinks. A super impressive venue, stunning interiors with a West End feel to the place. A great menu, by chef Tony; we enjoyed a selection of starters and I had the sirloin for mains (my photo of it doesn’t do it justice so not posting!). Great food, exceptional service and hospitality from Armando and his team. Definitely worth checking out for a special night out when you don’t want to travel into London.

My favourite place to unwind with a delicious coffee and dessert in a beautiful environment. You can have a choice of healthy or even glutein free options. The team also really lovely and caring.
