Sunshine Chinese Takeaway in Aberdeenshire

This was my first time at the Sunshine. I really enjoyed the vegetarian spring rolls, the mains were also very good. I ordered by phone, very easy, and my food was there in the ten minutes suggested. Very happy.

Delicious Chinese takeaway, thank-you, lovely staff and service, great food. Good value for the food.

Ordered grilled prawns.......receieved boiled to death sea food.... thinking of reporting this to trades descriptions...........Disgusted

We avoided Sunshine for a year because the food had gone downhill but we tried it again recently and can report that the quality of the food has improved drastically. Food is now well-cooked and seasoned (maybe a wee bit salty but not too bad) and the variety on the menu for vegetarians is great. All covid protections are in place.

Well I'm new to the village and I've had several Chineses and not once had a bad experience. Food is always top notch and the staff have always been friendly, smiley and extremely helpful. Not very often you go to a chinese and get a conversation when picking up your order but the counter guy will always speak to his customers. Keep up the good work sunshine. I'll be back soon.👌

The food was tasty! However.. the man at the counter was very rude, impatient and was shouting at staff on a busy weekend which doesn't leave a very good image.

Apparently some of the staff did not have the right to work in the UK and were removed. Since then the food has gone downhill. Vegetarian chicken with cashew nuts had no cashew nuts and was very salty, salt and pepper beancurd was tough and overcooked, deep fried mushrooms weren't seasoned so were bland. Disappointing. I don't like writing negative things but hope that if enough people give constructive criticism they will improve their food. Or bring back the illegals (on a legitimate basis, of course)!

Ordered on the phone, meal was ready when I got there despite the fact that they obviously had quite a few orders on the go (it's an open kitchen and I could see the tabs for orders hanging there). It was tasty, plentiful and e.g. the vegetarian spring rolls were still crispy when I got home. Very friendly and pleasant people. Prices very reasonable.

Use this Chinese takeaway on a regular basis. Always very pleasant on the phone, very good food! Very helpful woman on phone giving advice on menu. Well worth the travel to this take away!

Very well named,the counter assistant positively beams at you. You can see the food preparation area which looks clean and orderly. A nice little touch-they have the menu on the counter and beside it,in case you have problems, a magnifying glass and a little bell to summon assistance. All this and great food reasonably priced. A five star takeaway.

Visited yesterday and asked for one of the duck dishes to be made with mock duck. This was no problem at all and any of the chicken or duck dishes can be made with mock chicken or duck if you're a vegetarian. The lady behind the counter is always smiley and sometimes puts in little extras. If she knows you're veggie, she will warn you if any of your order has animal products in, which is handy.

Excellant place for a quick and delicious takeaway , nothing a bother to them happy to please the customer really great food and lovely staff

This is a very good Chinese takeaway with a great menu and quick service. I used it almost weekly and my family looks forward to a nice take away.

1st visit this week and was not disappointed, best special curry I have had, will definitely be returning and look forward to trying new dishes 😀

Sunshine takeaway has a large selection of vegetarian duck and chicken (seitan) dishes and salt and pepper beancurd, as well as more conventional vegetable dishes. Service is always friendly and the lady behind the counter is vegetarian so you never have to worry about the order being mixed up with real meat dishes. We have asked for some of the seitan dishes to be served with other sauces eg. plum and orange and this has been no problem for the chefs. Can't recommend this takeaway highly enough

This small takeaway on New Pitsligo High Street serves great food from their open kitchen, quickly and very tasty😄

My daughters love the spring rolls! Good food, more catering for western tastes so no really special Chinese treats like dim sum.

Quick Service, friendly and tasty food! Tried a few things during my stay in the area for work, definitely worth a visit. open on the monday when the other two takeaways in the village are shut!
