The worst chippy there is, its vile makes you ill. Wouldnt eat it if it was the last chippy on earth, the smell before you even go in makes you badly

We visited this shop whilst on a fishing holiday and were pleased to find that it hadn’t changed in the 4 years since we last visited…pre covid. The service was friendly but efficient and the quality of the fish and chips was excellent. We ordered large fish and chips and the fish was a huge piece of beautiful white cod with a lovely crisp batter. The amount of chips on one portion would easily have fed us both! The cost was £10 each and it was worth every penny! Give it a visit but order a large fish with small chips 😖😖

Worst fish and chip supper ever. Chips were cold and shrivelled. Cod was over cooked and devoid of any moisture. Will not be returning.

Friday fish and chip day, called for chippy lunch, and every thing fresh and tasty as usual, chips were fab, peas lovely, can’t fault any of the food, nothing left! Forgot scrumps tho lol, never mind was worth it! Will be back soon

Son was playing footy locally so as we’re from Lincoln we decided to drop off and take the dogs for a walk and grab tea at same time. Was dubious as the reviews weren’t great but we really enjoyed ours. A pleasant smiley young lady served me . Portions were good. Food hot. We sat outside to eat at the picnic tables. Wouldn’t hesitate to return

I ordered haddock and was given cod, which was wafer thin. The mushy peas were watery. Paid over £19 for fish, chips and mushy peas twice and wouldn’t return!

After going here for years, I’ve watched it slowly decline. It isn’t the same impressive fish & chip shop they set out to be. With pieces of fish the size of fish fingers. At extortionate rates, I’d definitely travel to woodhall spa, wragby or horncastles offerings for a better all around service. £9.50 for a fish & chips that wasn’t good. Avoid like the plague until they change the way they do business.

Went today for lunch fish and chips deal. Fish ok. Chips cheap oven ones that tasted like refried. Disgusting. peas now the cheapest processed ones from tin. Expected much better from chip shop. extremely disappointed as they obviously cut quality to save money. this used to be a great chippy. Shame and now shameful.

The food was really good, the food hygiene is only 3/5 and I don’t know why but the food is good. Worth the 10 mile bike ride!

Ordered fish n chips 3 times, waited for it to be freshly cooked, lady came in ordered fish n chips and was served straight away! Surprise surprise they then started serving mine up only to discover that only had 2 pieces of fish!!! I then had to wait for 3rd piece to be cooked while my other 2 pieces dried out!! Chips were rubbish as well. They did apologise but how difficult is it??

Fish & Chips in Bardney. Easy parking on front. Was a bit concerned with the 3* food hygiene rating, but was starving so risked it. Gosh they were rude! No wonder they were empty. Looked at me as if I had just curled one down on the floor. Chips were ok. Pie was rock hard, could have been used as a wedge. As soon as I tried to put the fork in (which’s costs an extra 5p!) it snapped, was like trying to prong a tortious shell! Fortunately I had a titanium spork with me so with a bit of persistence I managed to chip away a hole in the crust, only to find the meat innards had solidified too. Needless to say, just carry on past this place..... even if you are starving!!

We had been on a walk, when we decided to try this chip shop. The chips were some of the best I have ever tried , the mixed kebab was decent , and the food cooked to order. The price was fair to slightly above average . But impressed overall, and will be back in the future . Thanks Ross Webster

My partner and I cycled to the take away, bought fish and chips to eat by the river and it was delicious. Even with all of the socially distanced measures in place the staff were excellent, very professional and the food was top quality. We will definitely be back very soon.

Popped in here for a quick tea on the way home from work....big mistake! Now I may be wrong but usually fish and chips are a fast food takeaway? We waited 25 minutes for frozen fish and undercooked chips. Shockingly slow service ...God help them if they ever get more than 4 people order. Never again...

We had cod bites, chips and mushy peas and very nice they where to. We had enough chips for both of us with a normal chips and they had tartare sauce for you to which was great as we was on holiday and hadn't taken any with us.

I may not be an expert, but I have enjoyed several meals from this take away. They do have a seating area inside and out. They have lots of variety on the menu (mainly tradition F&C shop favorites). However I am a traditionalist and have always had the fish and chips. A good portion and always a friendly welcome.

My mate and I were staying nearby on a fishing trip and visited this place in the evening to buy fish and chips. The shop is basically a fish shop but has quite a range of food which you can either take away or eat in the small but spotlessly clean restaurant area. The staff in the shop were efficient and friendly and provided great service.We opted to take away our food but to eat in the restaurant was only about £1 per meal dearer. We chose extra large cod and chips and the fish was both massive and excellent quality, beautiful solid white fish with a lovely crisp batter.....superb!The prices were reasonable our dish costing £6.99 and I would definitely recommend a visit!!

Bardney chippy recommend by biking friends, so as riding through spotted the chippy near the bridge. Went to the counter and ordered fish and chips and sat at table. Busy on mobile when food delivered. Began to eat but had to stop. My friends raved on about the freshness of the fish and the crispiness of the batter? This was clearly frozen fish and the batter was soggy and oily, the chips pale and undercooked.Texted my friends and told them ha ha bad joke. They told me that the joke was on me ....... They meant the Bardney Heritage Center next door. Went to the right place next week and what a difference. Fabulous food, hysterical host, lovely wait staff. So if you want the best fish and chips,call in at the Bardney Heritage Center- between the so-called chippy and the River bridge. Looks like a railway station!!

Best Donar kebab I've had not swimming in fat will definitely be going back. Brilliant food all round. Can't fault it

Had the misfortune to visit this chippy this evening. Sadly deeply disappointing, jumbo sausage barely cooked, burger was one of those economy burgers from years gone by and could one be likened fatty tasteless processed meat, encased in a stale bun, with some economy cheese slice, to be fair, rhe salad was okay, in a word awful. Curry sauce was watery and bland.Certainly wouldn’t be on my best experience listing and would be extremely unlikely to visit again, I’m genuinely sorry for the locals if this is what they to look forward to on a Friday fish night!

The fish was frozen, batter and chips soggy, car park blocked by car in driveway. Next week went to the heritage center next door. Great fresh crisp food, and so friendly - staff and customers.

Very disappointed. Fish was obviously frozen. Tried the Heritage Center next door . Friendly service and the tastiest FRESH fish I've ever had.

I don't normally like fried food, but the fried fish served to me the other day was delicious. The batter was light and crispy, not gummy underneath with uncooked batter, and the fish well cooked; the chips were hot and not overdone. Everything was freshly cooked for us and the service was quick. The portion was larger than we required as we had only stopped for a light lunch but it was a good choice of restaurant.

Visited today with my parents for lunch. The place is always impeccably clean, and the service always friendly... As for the food, wow! Their regular fish today was huuugggge! Lovely meal in the restaurant. I've been told the food monster recently slated the place... He must be a real idiot!

Fancied a kebab, went over at 20.30 half an hour before closing time. The door was locked, i pointed to my watch at the man behind the counter and he just grinned. Closing half an hour early is not the best service! Not impressed!!

We traveled from woodhall to bardney to come here staff are lovely and food great my son especially loves the curry can't wait to call again

Had a monster fish chips and peas and it was all freshly prepared and served with a very polite and helpful member of staff,the fish was huge and so fresh it was sublime,the chips where crunchy but soft and fluffy in the middle and the peas where a lovely dark green colour like peas used to be,very clean and tidy place,be seeing you quite regularly

This place is a real port in the storm off the water rail way. The place is immaculately clean and the food piping hot. The restaurant is spotless and the toilets are too. Can thoroughly recommend'

Monday lunch in a spotlessly clean restaurant. Fish, chips and mushy peas freshly cooked to order. Pleasant staff made the visit a good experience.

Called in on our way into Bardney one evening. I thought it was strange that they didn't have any customers, then I found out why when I got our food home it was swimming in oil and it was overcooked, it looked to me like it had been recooked.

Would normally rate Sunnys 4 or 5* but our takeaway tonight was very average, fish was ok but chips resembled crisps and should not have been served !

Our youth group of 12 descended, without notice, upon Sunny's on a Friday lunchtime. The sun was shining and we ate on the picnic tables outside. The service was fast and friendly and the quality of the fish and chips was excellent. Highly recommended.

Not for the first time I collected lunch specials for 3. Small fish (but adequate) chips and either mushy peas or gravy or curry sauce. The fish was fresh cooked, great chips and a spicy curry sauce. All for only £2.99 each!!! Other choices plus the main meals too. Takeaway or sit inside or outside when the weather is good, Friendly staff. I'll be going again!

Stopped off here at noon to find a queue which quickly got longer. Fish fried fresh to order - good quality, skinless and tasty. Decent chips. Ate them outside on picnic bench.

Ah Sunnys fish and chip emporium ! What a delight. A veritable oasis in a desert of culinary drabness and inertia. The staff speak passable English and their deep fried mars bars are exquisite and value for money.

Picked up two huge boxes of Cod n Chips on way back to Rural Roosts in Next village. Workers/owners very helpful and friendly. Cod was a.m.a.z.i.n.g.! Huge portions well priced and highly recommend. Fresh n tasty. Go try for yourself!

Worth a visit if you are in the area.Fish is fried to order, so always fresh.Can eat inside if you wish, also a few tables outside. It can be very busy especially on a Friday evening.Very close to cycle track!

Literally our favourite fish and chips! The fish is huge and comes without the skin on which is perfect for me! Go nearly every Friday like true Brits!

Freshly cooked, eat in or takeaway. Lots of choice. Well presented and friendly helpful staff. Would certainly recommend this place
