Sunlight Chinese Takeaway in Barrow-in-Furness

My order was noodles, salt and pepper chips, chicken curry, fried rice. I will break the food down line by line so no one else has to suffer. Noodles - I opened the tub of said noodles. To receive a whiff of what only could be described as a 20 year old bouncy castle/a seat on the number 3 from newbarns. -1/10 Salt and pepper chips - salt and pepper rabbit droppings, more like. The chips were a mix match of different types of chips, some french fries, some thick cut, some I don’t know what. It’s like they ordered a chip from every chinese in barrow and put them in a bag. 1/10 Chicken Curry - Sloppy mcslopperson is what I would call this. It looked more like a tuna curry. 0/10. Please take this constructive feedback and up your game. I could see in your eyes you have the making of good food. The desire, the passion and the love for food is there, there’s just something missing. So for me, I’m out.

Theres some bad chineses in the area but this is the worst, even after a fair few drinks this was still very poor quality and flavourless food! I only ordered from here because no where else was open, I thought I'd risk it after my first equally as awful experience here a few years ago. Next time I'll just go hungry.

1st and last time going here! The food was awful! Chicken was grey and fatty! Sauce was runny and tasted worse than the chicken! I took one mouth full and put the rest in the bin! Avoid at all costs!

I ordered Hong Kong style chicken with spring rolls and salt & pepper chips. The chicken was just large chunks in a red sauce unlike any other Hong Kong style sauce I have ever eaten. The spring rolls were burned black at the ends, clearly reheated left overs. The salt and pepper chips were literally just chips with salt and pepper on, but were more expensive than regular chips. I have to travel the country for my work, so I regularly order food from Chinese take always. I can honestly say this is the worst Chinese take away I have ever purchased. The quality and flavour were just abysmal. I am disgusted. I can only call the food inedible.

Good food and good service.especially when you are night out to want get nice meals,that's good place for you for quick and friendly sevice .
