Normally can't fault the place, absolutely fantastic, but not feeling to good tonight so just ordered chips, definitely leftover chips from this afternoon, all went in the bin....shame.

Tucked away in a cul de sac opposite Tesco it is a bit off beaten track. The black board menu was varied and more reasonable than other chippys at present. I ordered a haddock and a single sausage. I was wary as it was served quickly and fish usually takes eight minutes to fry. Fish was fresh and batter just a wee bit thick and shrizzeled. Sausage was cold. Both had lots of chips, which the sea gulls enjoyed. Not overly friendly but efficient staff. Worth a visit on prices alone.

Overall a pleasant evening. Nice atmosphere, careful menu and good wine selection. One issue was with the lamb main course; 3 of the 6 in our group ordered it and 2 of us were unable to eat most of it due to it simply being too tough to cut through. The maitre d commented on the fact that we’d left it, asking if it had been too rare for us… when I explained it had been too tough she made no further comment; a little disappointing!
