Took over. Two hours. For. Out. Food to. Be. Delivered. We made several. Phone calls. Still. Not delivered by the time the food. Got to us we. Had. Eaten as didn’t. Know whether we was going to get our food. Or not

quick delivery and great food with generous portions. Ribs meaty and tender. pork and beef also very tender. very well done, especially as only 2nd day of trading. I will be back !

The most amazing service. They went above and beyond to help us and the food was the best we have ever had! Thank you for all your help in getting our food to us on time and absolutely delicious!!!! Thoroughly recommend!

Ordered a Chinese takeaway got delivered all the wrong meals. We then had to wait for our correct meals. To again not receive everything that we had asked for. A few weeks later we call for another takeaway and were told that we should’ve given the wrong meals back or at least paid for the food that we hadn’t ordered. Shocked by the service and attitude given from the woman on the phone. Will not be ordering from here again or recommending it to anyone.

Phone is constantly engaged - rang over 200 times on a night that shouldn’t have been busy and never got an answer. Obviously just taking the phone off the hook. Awful.

Absolutely atrocious the gravy looks like poo on a plate and the lady who was on the phone was very rude! I phoned to complain and she made it out it was my fault because I wanted the meal together in one tray! Shambles won’t be eating here again

Due to 'family circumstances' we have not had a 'takeaway meal' of any kind since the 'covid lockdown' began. Well, with things generally getting more back to normal, last Thursday we returned to 'The Sunflower' for two takeaway meals. I had chicken curry, mushrooms & chips; whilst our daughter had the pork & chicken curry with chips. Both were excellent and were up to the high standard which we have always had from here. We shall be having another one later this week, and hopefully for many weeks to come. Thankfully we can always rely on The Sunflower to provide really nice takeaway food. We have been away far too long! At present, due to the 'covid situation', telephone them first with your order, you receive a time to collect it, then do so. Obviously at present you 'do not' linger inside The Sunflower, but you can wait outside until your takeaway is ready.

Just called to order 2 curries , on the door it says phone order only so I rung the bell and explained the phone is constantly engaged , I spoke to the member of staff who had just got off phone and he advised I could only phone through an order even though I would be speaking to him Also cash only like every takeaway in denbigh !! He said a curry would take an hour and a half Didnt bother ordering

rang for an hour and permanently engaged so i went down there. notice on door, telephone orders only!. Phone was not ringing and nobody on phone so can only assumed not working or left off hook!

Not my regular Chinese but fancied a change, wish I hadn't. Ordered crispy chilli beef, egg fried rice and chips. The meat was slimey and far from crispy the rice was cold and tasted like it had been reheated, the chips almost tasted like doughnut batter rather than chips, very sweet. The portion size was very small too, especially for the price I felt quite ill after eating what I could of it and the next couple of days I still didn't feel right. Staff were a bit miserable too but gave a free bag of prawn crackers...which were chewy and not crispy. No idea what their idea of Chinese food is but much better options elsewhere in town.

The food is absolutely amazing and is downside that they don’t take card but the staff are extremely friendly and and you will not regret going to this place

I chose the special fried rice and a portion of salt and pepper ribs. The meal arrived within 15 minutes of placing the order, which was brilliant considering how busy they were, being a Saturday night. Food was lovely with great portion size. Will definitely be ordering for home delivery again. Excellent!

Julie is amazing great customer service sticks up for her staff, food good quality and good price! Even if you have strange request or not sure what you want she will most certainly try to help you the best she can. Even living out in the sticks good always comes piping hot

We regularly have a take away from the Sunflower. Great quality food, prime meat used, always freshly cooked and delicious. Delivery is timely and you can order in advance on a busy night. Can't fault it.

Best Chinese ever and in the surrounding areas you can't beat it. Me and my family always go here but because of its exceeding reputation it is usually busy so be quick to get your orders booked or just go in as the owner and staff are always happy too help as best they can and are only human.Would always recommend to anyone who wants good food for decent value!

Yesterday evening (Saturday), and a Friday some two weeks ago, I had takeaway meals from the Sunflower. It consistently provides great takeaway food. On both occasions I had Chicken Curry with Chips & Mushrooms. I can honestly say that both meals were fantastic. I have been having takeaways from here now for some 31 years and I have never been let down. I have tried on the odd occasion 'other chinese takeaways' in Denbigh or elsewhere, and NONE in my considered opinion can match the Sunflower, High Street, Denbigh.

On a recent holiday in North Wales this was our go to takeaway place (we went twice). Really nice Chinese food, we got special curry, fried rice and chips to share - nice and spicy and reasonable prices.

This was an unexpectedly poor experience, 2 kids playing football in the waiting area hitting customers with the ball, my wife’s meal was content free lots of warm water with a few lonely onions and bits of beef, and to top it all my carton of curry ended up being sweet and sour sauce! Usually good on this occasion crap.

Had plenty of good meals from this long standing takeaway. Not disappointed with last visit. Roast pork char sui chow mein a particular favourite.

After numerous internet searches attempting to locate a menu for this place, we called the sunflower to ask about a menu and were directed to Facebook, not everyone chooses to use social media these days and as one of those people I was forced to ask about vegetarian options over the phone. This is the first Chinese I have ever come across who do not serve tofu/ beancurd so that was a bit of a worry from the outset. The sunflower were not providing home delivery despite their advertising saying otherwise. Despite this we wanted to give it a go and ordered a vegetable chow mein, a portion of vegetable rice, a carton of curry sauce and a portion of water chestnuts which would usually come to about £11 at my local Chinese restaurant. The bill was £17.67 which was a shock but there was worse to come. My water chestnuts were actually 80% bamboo shoots. The vegetable chow mein was stuffed with frozen carrots which is an absolute no no for me. Needless to say we barely touched the the meal and won’t be coming back. I believe that the sunflower has a good customer base for meat lovers, but if you are more plant based in your diet, don’t eat here.

Best Chinese Around Love it here Staff are friendly They provide delivery Great yummy food always nice and fresh and comes to the door hot. Any issues they always resolve them. Brilliant. Highly recommend 5*

As a family we love our Chinese food and as a takeaway this is the best I've ever had tonight. I admit cost few pounds more then others but well worth it. I had king prawn with broccoli all cooked so well. Only thing my husband enjoy spicy food and his szechuen wasn't spicy. But food well cooked and tasty can't wait to go again

The streets were covered in snow when the request came to find a Chinese Takeaway. The Sunflower came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. The food was excellent and all the choices made were perfect. The chicken balls were easily the best we had ever had with light batter which was not oily. Loved everything!

First time I have been here whilst visiting family in Denbigh, we all had different dishes, mine was Prawn Chow Mein, and was the best that I have ever had, only had to wait about 15 minutes at the takeaway counter on a Saturday evening, they were very busy but the service was excellent.

This is the one (and ONLY) 'CHINESE' TAKEAWAY which we have used on a regular basis for over thirty years. Firstly with the parents running it, and now with a daughter in CHARGE! We have NEVER had a poor meal of any description from here in all of the years that we have been coming here. These days they even deliver to the door- handy when I feel too lazy to collect! The time before last our son and daughter-in-law were with us and we had a variety of different meals, plus extras delivered to our door on a cold, wet evening. EVERYTHING was excellent - no exceptions. My own personal favourites being the fried chicken and mushrooms and the special curry, but NOT at the same time, because they supply very decent sized meals!

We visited here after staying in the local area for the weekend. Staff were very friendly and service was quick. The food is some of the best I've had. Many thanks

Pedimos comida desde aquí después de estar en un hotel cercano para el fin de semana. Después de una mala experiencia con el pescado local y chips, nos sorprendimos gratamente con la comida de aquí. La comida estaba caliente y sabía muy bien, el único inconveniente era que la comida era muy caro comparado con otros chinos de que hemos comido. Si desea papas fritas, les aconsejo mejor ellos recibiendo desde aquí!

Me encanta la comida china la comida es fabulosa también la llevan ahora que es realmente servicial mi único problema es el precio! No son el único en la ciudad, pero son sin duda el más caro, bonito como un lujo quizás

The food is always good here and they deliver. I love the curry whatever is in it but the nicest thing is that they are honest about delivery times which is really refreshing, you know how long you will have to wait. Last time I had the special curry which is excellent. I'll keep going back

I have had many takeaways from the Sunflower over the years and they have always been very good. Their beef based dishes use beef that is good quality and not the "processed" beef that many takeaways seem to consist of (sort of rubbery consistency).

Always have lovely takeaways here, a little bit on the expensive side but worth it. Delivers which is a good thing. Best chicken curry and prawn toast

Regularly visit this Chinese as its local to me, always get exceptional service, fantastic food and fast delivery! A must go to Chinese if you're ever in the area or wanting a nice takeaway treat!

Ordered myself a quarter duck. Imagine my disappointment when i got home to find no hoisin sauce and cucumber/spring onions. Phoned them up resigned to the fact that i would have to eat duck and pancakes without the extras. Very pleased that they got straight in the car to bring it to me. Thats what i call good customer service! The food tasted nice too, not as salty as some in the area.

Had a nice takeaway from here after trying all the others in the town Wasnt fussed on the salt and chilli ribs but the quarter duck was lovely The mains were tasty and plenty of them

Not the friendliest no smiles or thank you! Food is poor & different than any other Chinese takeaway & not in a good way! Been here 3 times in 9 years due to another well known Chinese being to busy and 3/3 times I was disappointed = never again!!!

First and last time I will order from this place.ordered prawn toast..burnt and cold.egg fried rice bland and stale tasting.sweet and sour pork balls..plenty of them but burnt and rock hard.sweet n sour sauce was ok.2 cans of coke...with delivery...16.75..overcharged.only good point about the place is at least it was delivered quick...don't bother with the place...very dissapointing.!

Been getting food from this family run business for many years so that says alot on how yummy it is. It may not be the cheapest around but you get good portion sizes and its a lot lot nicer. The staff are very friendly and someone will always make the time to greet and take orders even if really busy. They also deliver locally too which is great, we can still enjoy our favourite food if we cant get out the house.

Terrible & rude customer service, no prices available, informed that making prices up as no menus available at the moment!!! £19.50 for 2 meals & 1 side order is ridiculous, would be different if the food was exceptional or even average but its mediocre! There's only 1 dish that tastes remotely Chinese on the whole menu which leaves me questioning if the staff that work there are actually Chinese or just passing themselves off as this (Chinese people wake up, there making a mockery of your cuisine & its a massive shame for both you and the community. Untill their food, portion sizes & customer service makes a dramatic improvement they wont be receiving money from us, our family or friends, SHAME on you for losing long time customers sunflower.

Truly, truly, disgusting.We got a take-away of several dishes. None was acceptable. Even the fried rice was appalling.The "chicken" in the chicken dishes was not identifiable as "breast" or "thigh" but was bits of chicken flesh scraped or peeled from the carcass when the proper cuts had been removed.I would have taken it back but ewe were passing though and had taken the "food" home.Chris J

I got a takeaway from here a few days ago for the first time in years having had bad experiences with the other Chinese takeaways in Denbigh. Although the service was a little slow, it was worth the wait. The food was delicious and wasn't at all gloopy like it can be sometimes in other places and I didn't get that awful unquenchable thirst after eating it like I do usually. Everything on the menu was reasonably priced and I will definitely be a regular customer from now on!

this take away has been open for years in denbigh- they have been owned by the same family. it has just had a revamp with some new menus. we had duck with vegetables which was delicious, with tender meat and lots of it, along with chicken chop suey, which was also delicious and fried rice. The food is always tasty and well cooked and the staff always chatty and friendly. It has an excellent hygiene rating and the food is a cut above your average chinese. they are also on facebook

After being customers here for many years, i was quite shocked when they not only messed up our takeaway order, but also refused to refund us. We were accused of 'tampering' with the food when it had in fact not been touched at all. Eddie, the manager, was completely rude and didnt listen tp what we had to say, even though it was a mistake from their end. Never going back here, horrible, arrogant staff as we were left with £40 worth of food we hadn't ordered.

We have been having takeaways from the Sunflower on High Street, Denbigh, for well over twenty years now. The same genuine and lovely family run the Takeaway and the food is always excellent. The place is very clean and the staff very friendly. The "English" food there, such as the lamb chop dinner is also of high quality, as well as the usual "Chinese" curry type fare. We recommend the Sunflower.
