Sultan Indian Take away in Stockton-on-Tees

This was the first time we have used this takeaway and I have to say we were super impressed the food was lovely. I was a little dubious as I didn’t want to be disappoint as it was a special birthday celebration. So thank you will definitely be ordering again.

It’s a long time since I’ve had a takeaway as good as this! I’m glad I put weight watchers off for another week to enjoy this….flavours out of this world, everything hot, all sides correct. Just lovely

Food was awful, the tandoori had so much chilli in the coating I could not eat it all, worst I have ever had, really spoil my meal for me. I have eaten Indian meals from everywhere including authentic Indian food, tandoori is not normally coated in chill powder. Some parts of the meal was OK the pickles and poppadoms, mint yoghurt, but the most expensive dishes the curry and .and mixed grill atrocious, the lamb was so tough I couldn't bite through it or chew it, the shish was okay apart from excessive chilli sauce.e with the tandoori king prawns which were overcooked. If I wS in a restaurant I would have se t it back and refused to pay for it. Perhaps this was a one off, but I feel soothingly about this I am going to take it further

Prawn curry had 3 slices of tomatoe and 6 tiny prawns in when rang the restaurant they said that was the standard amount , the rice was greasy they said all the rice is like that , I've never ever had a greasy pilau rice in my life , never gonna order from here again.

Chips and cheese (you clearly can’t go wrong here) but these did.. the chips were swimming in oil and the cheese was burnt if not that plastic cheese! The white tray was completely soiled in bright yellow oil and it tasted like I was chewing paper. Wouldn’t feed my dog them! Binned. Chicken tikka masala tasted like nothing other than gravy. £20.90 straight down the drain, never ever again!

Food was okay but cmon nearly 2 hours for korma and rice 🙄 my usual is bengal tiger but they're closed tonight. Definitely be going there next

Long wait for delivery, but it did state delivery time when ordering , but was worth the wait , the food was beautiful, meat was lovely and tender, only downfall was the poppadoms had gone soggy, will defo order again though x

Driver said he was stood ringing and we didn’t answer so when on the phone I directed him to where we live and my partner waited outside so he knew where we were he pointed to a different building he went to

Ordered lamb rogan josh but had no lamb!

All good except there did not seem to much garlic in the garlic bread Saying that we will definitely order from there again

Chicken tikka masala really good, loads of chicken. Lamb biryani so fragrant. Mushroom rice and peshwari nan. Excellent

Has someone took over because the curry is very oily and the chips are horrendous ,we always order from here ,second thoughts now as an Indian isn't cheap, disappointed 😥

Food arrived an hour after it was supposed to. Food was cold. I declined acceptance of order at door and have requested a refund. Restaurant service 'alright', food quality unknown so scored mid range

we’ve been going to Sultan now for about 25 years, every time we order the food is lovely, the chicken morich massala is a massive favourite, thanks Sultan we’ll be ordering again soon 👌🏼

Scrap! Curry was far too runny chips were just reheated and the nann was this a sheet of paper also too 1 hour and 40 mins never again

Although the Achar curry tasted ok and so did the bhajis the portions were small, the naan was terrible and the poppadom sauces glowed. Definitely would not recommend.

Food was lovely, especially the naan and dips. Unfortunately forgot my drink that I ordered but was refunded instantly by the delivery driver. 10/10

Always great but tonight they didn't deliver one item I'd paid for.

Arrived really quickly but neither of us likes the Tikka Masalas. They were quite bland in flavour and the sauce was very watery.

Excellent service, food hot and delicious, delivered early. Very good indeed.

Driver an ejit chef just rubbish

lamb was small and a little fatty which puts me off and i asked for extra fresh garlic and chillies and they were none driver was polite.

Use this place all the time ,chips were soggy it wasn't really warm or hot had to be reheated, lamb was fatty n gritty ,disappointed and it took nearly 2 hours to come 😳

Must be one of the worst Indian meals I have had. The Lahore Mann was chewy and dall was so watery. All in the bin.

The potion for the price my five year old could eat it all. Missing poppadoms and paid for. Garlic mushroom couldn’t eat them there where just mush. Arrived freezing cold. Would t recommend these to anyone . Disgusting and waste of 45 pound . I love mint sauce and this wasn’t even that I couldn’t eat it. Must of this went in the bin .

Food never turned up. Got marked as dispatched and then got marked as delivered, waited over 3hours as it was a busy night and I understand this, in the end I went to bed at 1am and finally admitted the food is not coming.

Missing 1 lot of chips. Korma sauce was like water compared to the normal thick sauce.

Delivery time changed multiple times. Turned up 30 minutes later than it was supposed to. Order was stone cold. Called restaurant, response was just we are busy. We can’t help. Avoid it.

4th time I have had from here now every time the food is absolutely beautiful and spot on best place for Indian food there is so glad they deliver to ts5 I won’t go anywhere else

Wasn't bad, wasn't great. Little disappointed after this place was recommended and has over 5 stars. Was delivered on time and piping hot but lacked flavour in both our meals and was still hungry after I finished.

Tandoori chicken main, avoid like covid…2 chicken legs, seen more meat on a sparrows leg, no flesh, stringy and bones were blue, quite bizarre. Really low quality poultry, which is probably same as in curry dishes. Really put me off ordering from here again.

Food amazing. Have ordered from Sultans for around 10 years. Have never had a bad meal. My daughter fancied some chips but they did not come with the meal. I am not upset she should not have ordered chips. Delicious food. Thank you Sultans.

I was grateful for text to say it was late. Ordered a balti. It was thick like gravy, not the best.

None of it was really edible, dry, not spicy and salty.

Very very tasty tikka masala! Keema naan could of done with more keema in it!! Overall would recommend!

I ordered a madras which I always have but it was vindaloo strength and I was unable to eat it due to the pure chilli heat which was painful. Delivery time was an hour and a half, will not be ordering again.

I'll change this when someone responds but I got home and some of my order was missing. Tried calling up straight away and constantly had to redial. Spent nearly 10 mins trying to get through, then when I did, phone rang out until it cut off.

I’ve not been living in this area for long, I’ve tried a few Indian takeaways..... none come even close to this one, staff are friendly, food is incredible, always on time, and price is lower than most. 11/10

Bhajis a little over priced for the amount . £2.50 and really small but food really good
