Very friendly and polite food second to none have been comming for some time dont use snywhere else what a gem of a place never been dissapointed

Had a lovely meal last night at the Sultan Cottage. We haven’t been for a while so we’re unsure what to expect but the food was delicious and we had good service. Lovely glass as well for my Prosecco (I appreciate a nice glass). Works have started on the front of the building so hopefully in the near future it’ll be a little more desirable from the main road. We’ll visit again soon!

I have been ordering from them for months and always order same food Suddenly their prices have gone from £13.50 to £15.50 And now £19.40 In a few weeks Usually when I oder for delivery they tell me price This time he did not and driver delivers then says £19.40 How the hell can it jump so much for exact same order That was last from me

My partner and I visited here on the weekend after hearing the place had been renovated. We entered and went to the bar to confirm our booking only to be literally ignored 3 times before a member of staff actually approached us. Our table was not ready even though we had booked so we waited again, at this point there was a queue building due to lack of staff. When we were finally seated, the service was simply slow. We easily waited 15 minutes to be asked anything by the waiter who forgot to come back to the table, so I approached another member of staff 5 minutes later. The food was ok, reasonably priced and hot. I will say there was a clear lack of staff for a weekend which is likely to have caused the poor service and average food. The reason I had to give two stars was the toilets. Both the ladies toilets were blocked to the brim and leaking and that is a hygiene concern. Furthermore, when I alerted a member of staff, I was told to wait. After a few minutes I asked a member of staff again to please find a solution (the men’s had a male in) and he again said to wait. Eventually he went in and came back out after a few minutes advising me not to use the second cubicle. I was not best pleased I had to wait at this point but to then go in and find both still full to the brim with dirty water, I find that both unprofessional and quite frankly dirty. The lack of hygiene and customer care bothered me, so I asked for the bill so I could go home, without finishing my meal, to use the toilet. No apology was given for the toilets or us having to leave, and even getting a bill took me approaching the bar again. There are multiple curry houses nearby that are definitely better for numerous reasons so I will not be returning

visited Sultans cottage in Pelsall for new years eve,waited 1hour and 40 mins for starter,no apology for delay,asked several times what the delay was but just kept saying it was on its way,finally got starters then waited another 40 mins for main course.still no appology.seemed to be concentrating on takeaways as they were going out thick and fast,need to get your priorities right,in all waited 3 hours.a bit apprehensive about going in the first place as the hygeine rating was only 1. wish we hadnt bothered shocking service,did complain when we paid the bill but wasnt bothered at all.wont be stepping foot in the place ever again

i had a balti it was very like water and they have put the price of the meals up a lot it will be a long time before i go again not good at all and the meals look small to what they was

Have ordered from here before and never had a problem!! £29 on food that had no taste at all!!!! Was so disappointed rang up and was to busy to talk and told to ring back, thats the last time i ever order from here.

I arrived with my partner and we only wanted a meal to share as we are not big eaters , after we had starters popadoms I was then told I NEEDED to order a main meal each ? Which neither of us wanted we just wanted to share which apparently is no restaurant policy? Would NOT recommend this place this was not told this at point of entry it was not a case that we did not want to pay we just did not need a main meal each and I believe we should be able to order what we want and there is no minimum order requirements

Been here twice and have throughly enjoyed it both times, food plentiful and staff were very pleasent. Would go again for sure.

Had a takeaway great food, on time would have given 5* but left out a couple of sauces. Still recommend.

4 of us ate here for new years eve. I rang to book a couple of weeks before to ensure we could get a table to be told the only table they had was at 630pm we expected it to be rammed. It wasn't which I found bizzare as I originally would have liked a table at 7:30-8. The food was faultless really nice but the service wasn't up to standard at all. It just felt like they were rushing us and kept coming over to take our order when we'd only been sat down a few minutes. Then the waitor repeatedly came over asking if we'd finished when one of us was still eating visibly with food in his mouth!! They immediately bought us the bill over as soon as the plates were cleared around the remaining eater which I found quite rude. It all felt a bit rushed and like they wanted us in and out which isn't great. Would return as the food was tasty but do expect the same level of service.

Just decided to try this place after 5 years of driving past it, not disappointed! Food is of a great standard and very tasty! To top it off, it is competitively priced. Definitely will be returning!

Excellent food eat in or take away they also deliver staff are very friendly and professional you can take your own alcohol as it is unlicensed would recommend to anyone who loves Indian food

We have literally just left the restaurant after a lovely meal. The staff were attentive and sat us after only a 15 minute wait which was great seeing as we didn't have a reservation and the place was very busy. The food was really tasty and good value. I would highly recommend this place.

What a wonderful find.. very popular in the area and after a couple of visits I know why... the food is amazing and they also have created a great space inside to enjoy the experience

First time here, and have to say the inside had nice decor, the service was excellent, the food was alright, for me mine was to greasy, cooked in far to much ghee, my chicken jalfreze, was very mild and only had one chilli in it, the garlic mushrooms starter, was not as expected, the mushrooms were finely chopped, when I expected whole or half mushrooms, overall I must say I was disappointed the food was not better, but this is just my opinion.

Booked a table for 6 people @ 2100hrs . Arrived on time to find table not ready ... was told be 5mins . At 2115 enquired how long .... told 2 mins .... spoke to fella in the Gents who said they had been seated late but had to wait over an hour for their starters ....

Called to place an order for collection. The guy on the phone was instantly offish and didn’t understand what I was asking for. Once I’d place my order I asked how much it was and how long it would be. He said they were really busy and would call me back with this information. Waited 15 minutes and still hadn’t had a call back so phoned them, the same guy was instantly rude and said he’d told me they were busy so to wait. I said I needed to know and he knew the price straight away and said it would be 20/30 mins and hung up. I called back up to cancel my order as I wasn’t happy with the service and he became rude on the phone saying my order was now ready when 2 seconds earlier he’d told me 30 mins. I said again to cancel and he told me not to order from them in future if I was just going to cancel when my food was ready (even though it hadn’t been 30mins yet)

forgot half my order and had to wait another 45 minutes for the rest of the food to finally be delivered

Chicken was on the bone even though I requested it to be off the bone. The chicken was fatty and poor quality!! The chips were cold even though I live 2 minutes away! Just all round poor quality!

This is a very good Indian restaurant with friendly staff. Lots of choice from a varied menu of lovely food. We visit regularly.

Always loved the food here, either eat in or take out. Food was delivered tonight without the main meal- curry. Had to wait for it to be re-delivered all the other items went cold, chapati, chips, rice & onion Baji. So disgusting meal, didn’t not enjoy, too cold, so disappointed tonight. Difficulty then trying to call restaurant it was constantly engaged, Just eat no help either, was told to eat the chapati rice & chips without the curry ! While I am waiting for the curry to be re-delivered. Don’t think we will order from either again

Been here a few times always great food and on time if not early, staff are nice and food is great I definitely recommend!

They first said they couldn’t find me then said they knocked and no one home I told them they have delivered before and I have 3 dogs who bark at any noise ,delivered hour late and then took photo of my door and said look but the photo was time stamped

Absolutely gorgeous chicken tikka bhuna and garlic fried rice lots of flavour one of the best Curry's we've had in a long time will definitely be ordering from here again

Having been the Sultan cottage many times the standard is superb their attention to detail is second to none, having been to many restaurants like this in England and in Europe it is our opinion nobody can touch them!

Lovely food here. Food took a little bit long to come out after the starters but it was extremely busy in there so will give them the benefit of the doubt.

Phoned at 5 oclock when it had just opened Saturday evening, asked if they had a table for four free,was told to come in for 5:45 which suited us.arrived, were promptly seated.chose what we wanted, popadoms served and about 30 mins later our mains came and they looked really nice.the food here was really lovely, the best indian food we had had in a while and great waiter service too.will definitely call here again.thanks.

Went on Saturday with wife and two close friends. All our dishes were outstanding and the service was top notch.. I had tandoori chicken jalfrezi, my wife chicken tikka jalfrezi and our two friends one had lamb and chicken madras Balti and the other a mushroom Balti. All were first class and accompanied by rice, chips and naan. We will be going again. No wonder the place was deservedly busy! Well done guys at the Sultan cottage.

Curry always tastes nice but long wait (over an hour) and missing item on delivery. Phoned restaurant to explain and told replacement would be sent. No replacement was sent and will go elsewhere in future.

Food came early....which I always worry about. But it was very tasty (except the omelette we ordered, could have soled a shoe with that!) First time trying the place, but based on what I ordered I would use again.

My wife and I went with our friends for a meal here and wasn’t disappointed, the food was delicious, one of the best curry’s Ive have had for a while, the four of us all had different meals and each one was cooked perfect. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the place was spotlessly clean.

Food was beautiful, lovely chicken rogan josh, poppadums were really fresh, only thing I could fault was that the onion bhaji's were tiny.

Lovely place this is. Would highly recommend. The food is always great. Staff are friendly and the place is spotless. Like most local Indian restaurants it’s not licensed so you have to take your own booze. Good selection of soft drinks though. Would also recommend booking as this place is busy every night of the week.

Amazing food as per usual however if you order mint sauce you don’t get it, I ordered chips which I didn’t receive and without fail it will always be over an hour for delivery. The only thing that keeps us coming back is the taste of the food. Oh and they recently started charging £1.50 for delivery and they can’t even get to you on time. If they could sort this then they would be perfect!

The food was lovely, really tender chicken and excellent naan bread. The chips were brilliant and everything was well cooked. Will defiantly return here.

Order was 15 minutes late, when it did arrive there were no poppadoms or onion salad like you get with most other takeaways. Also the chicken tikka masala was definitely not tikka masala, the sauce was vile and unfortunately this had to be thrown away. Won't be ordering again.

Total delivery time was 1 hour 47 minutes despite me calling the restaurant twice. When the food did arrive the rice was cold and had to be heated in the microwave. Very disappointing food and very disappointing service.

when i places the order it said it would be here by 8:45 and then after ordering, it changed to 9:25 and then it didn’t get here until 9:40. I love this takeaway but would not have bothered if it would have said 9:40 when I placed the order. very disappointed

Delivery time was changed by the sultan due to weather which is understandable. I offerd to collect but food was not ready.my order by this time had been placed an hour before. On arrival the delivery driver stood at the door and said we do t have salad so ive given you onions? The sultan offerd the salad so why offer if they didnt have it and to top it all off the whole order was cold i have to re heat. I only live 5 mins away 10 on bad weather so there is no excuse for cold food. So disappointed.

Rude staff. Arrived to collect food as just eat said. Waited 20 mins in restraunt and asked where my food was and was told that it wasnt ordered until i arrived at collection time. Actually had a full scale argument infront of restraunt because they were callin me a lier at the time food was ordered n when i arrived. Felt sorry for restraunt costomers witnessing how they treated myself

This is not the first time we have had food delivered from Sultan Cottage. Today and last time they forgot part of our order. On another occasion when I collected our order the gave us someone else's order. I don't think we will order from there again - a shame because the menu and the quality is good.
