Sukho in Hammersmith and Fulham

Lovely meal and great service. Our family loved it!

The food is amazing. I regularly order takeaways from this restaurant, always ordering the same 3 items and I am always impressed. However, the portion sizes have become noticeably smaller while prices have remained the same. I was happy to pay it before because I love the quality of the food but now it’s just too expensive. Going forward, I will probably go into the restaurant as a one-off treat rather than a regular takeaway order.

What they did well: the flavours in the red and green curry were great. The sticky rice. What they did wrong: As a few people have mentioned, the portion to price ratio is beyond a joke. 4 prawns in a £27 curry, The prawns were obliterated - cooked till they were so rubbery they bounced. The starter for 2 however was the worst. 2 of the tiniest overcooked pieces of chicken, a weak satay sauce, 2 small ribs, marinated but with NO meat on them, and a poor excuse for a dumpling. For £22. Not gourmet. In summary, sauce flavours good, portions shocking, cooking ability poor, quality of produce poor, pricing laughable. We will not be ordering again!

The staff were super attentive and quite welcoming. We had reservations (a must on a weekend night) so we were greeted and seated immediately. Shared two disused to start and then each of us had a main. It is a hike to reach by public transit so any ride share will do!!

Best Thai in london. I love this restaurant so much and go very often with my family. Best dishes in my opinion: - Fish cake - Green curry chicken with glutonous rice I always take these everytime I come. The waiters are always so kind and welcoming as they recognise me for coming all the time.

Simply the very best Thai food, friendly, welcoming service and lovely atmosphere. The restaurant was packed on a Monday evening. The seabass cooked in banana leaf was sublime. Can’t wait to visit again

This is a great and authentic Thal Restaurant and am therefore surprised to see its somewhat modest rating amongst restaurants serving Thai food. The ambiance is pleasant, the service top notch and the food equal to what I had in good restaurants in Thailand. WIll definitely return on my next visit to London next year.

It’s quite expensive but it is excellent Thai food. Really high quality, I can’t wait to go back! The presentation of the food is quite different to the Thai restaurants I usually go to.

Took a chance on this restaurant (spotted while out for a walk) and it did not disappoint. Excellent, attentive service, and wonderful, tasty & fresh food. My husband also really enjoyed his mango margarita! Can recommend.

I visited this establishment a couple of times when it first opened, and I decided to circle back around again to see if it was as good as it was back then. Verdict: The food was indeed superb but the portion sizes, is shockingly underwhelming. A miniscule portion is overshadowed by a standard sized plate, and after a couple of bites, its finished. Toddler portions. Cost-wise, it therefore could be interpreted as daylight robbery but possibly, and I'm only guessing, a side effect of the cost of living, perhaps? Other than that, the restaurant was clean, airy with relatively pleasant staff member(s). Do I now have a longing desire to return? NO. Instead, I will hold on to the fond memories of yesteryear when Sukho first made their grand appearance within the leafy suburbs of West London. I wish them well but certainly not for me.

Great local place, fresh flavors and attentive staff.

It’s very nice place where intimate atmosphere is a big plus. Wetnesses are nice and full service offered. Restaurant is very busy at Saturday evening and you have to reserve your table in advance to get a place. Food is very tasty and given to eat in unique way. Beef in pepper and black bean sauce was so delicious. Starter for two people was very tiny portion however very tasty. Thai tea is delicious too. Restaurant is clean.

I've been here twice, and unfortunately the second time was relatively worse. I appreciate that they cared about our veg*n diet, but when we found a fly in the tofu, the staff member's first response was: did it fly into the food? To which we replied: the whole fly is marinated in the sauce, definitely came like this from the kitchen... We were seated outside, so can understand the restaurant's view point. Not sure if the response was very friendly. They did take off the price of that dish from the bill (we did not request this). Having read another review from the last 4 months, it appears they looked back at CCTV to accuse a customer of falsely putting their own hair in the food! Food was very bland, ingredients used were sub-par. They have a mon-meat menu, but don't stock veg*n versions of green / red curry paste... So avoid if you fancy an authentic veg*n Thai meal. There are much better Thai restaurants further afield, which are well worth the travel.

Really friendly staff and really high-end Thai food. Highly recommend the Thai tacos to start, one of the best starters I’ve ever had. The French wine was also surprisingly good (we had to take a photo of it to buy it at home). Will definitely visit again.

A Thursday evening dinner for a birthday, the restaurant was fully booked as usual. Food is scrumptious, delicate, aromatic… perfect! And service is friendly yet very professional. Amazing experience as usual!

We had a lovely meal last night. The food was incredible and the service was just as wonderful. Only point would be to have beer on tap! We’ll certainly be back!

Sukho is my favourite Thai restaurant in Fulham. The staff are always smiling and welcoming, the cocktails are great and the food is top notch.

One of the few places, overall in London, where cleanliness was not an optional! Excellent food and the two ladies who served us were really gentil and efficient, nothing less that customer oriented which hadn’t been in the case in many other places. Only reason why I haven’t given a 5th star is because I had to insist to pay cash! Keep up the good work guys, I will definitely be back on my next visit to London. All best wishes.

Absolutely delicious dinner, as always. My only slight criticism is that the tables are too close together but the food and the service definitely make up for my small gripe.

I had the most HORRIFIC experience where I found a hair in my food, I called the waiter over and told her quietly as I know it can happen. She looked visibly annoyed i had pointed this out but took the food away. She then came back with her staff surrounding me and started accusing me of putting the hair in?!!! Showed me cctv of me touching my hair to try and blame me! I have never been more humiliated in my life they were so rude and AGGRESSIVE saying they will call the police?? I couldn’t believe what was going on never the less I paid and left for the sake of not making a scene but I say AVOID!! Not the worth your money or dignity!! I’ve just seen more reviews of hair in food and rude manger below

Мы не раз были в Таиланде и в Sukho сразу вспоминается эта прекрасная страна. Здесь получаешь настоящию тайскую еду , доброжелательный персонал, прекрасный сервис. Надеюсь, что ещё не раз посетим Sukho. Очень рекомендую.

Lovely food and service. It’s expensive for Thai but worth it did special occasions

The food tasted okay, nothing impressive. I would say satisfactory. However, the cocktails were dire - stay well away from the cocktails. They do not know how to blend a nice cocktail. My Espresso Martini tasted watery; the Mango Margarita was no better. Even though I stated the Espresso Martini tasted watery and asked to change my drink; they still included it on the bill. One of the female waiters was blatantly arrogant and obnoxious when discussing this with her at the end. Not a place for me.

Average. We had the gold evening menu. The list of dishes sounds enticing but the portions are small. Food is ok but not good enough to return.

Having grown exceedingly bored with the sharp decline in using proper Thai ingredients and good quality food in practically every single Thai restaurant that we have frequented for years in central London, we decided to drive out to Fulham. AND WOW ! This lovely restaurant was sooo well worth the drive ! Their skewered prawns - plump, succulent and cooked to perfection. Crispy soft shell crab, beautifully seasoned and in the most divine dressing/sauce. Fabulous satay. The absolute star of the show for us, is their Tuna Carpaccio Salad (just like Patara used to make, before they discontinued it) Super-fresh ultra thin slices of beautiful quality raw tuna, cured beautifully with a gorgeous lime dressing. Super-finely chopped lemongrass, shallot, fresh mint and a tiny scattering of red chilli. THE BEST Phad Thai that we’ve eaten in the UK for years, bursting full of prawns, an array of fresh vegetables, sautéed tofu. Amazingly super-tasty, savoury main course dishes again all packed with beautiful fresh ingredients. The service is wonderful too - polite, very helpful & friendly and all is done at a perfect pace. Honestly and truly, this, in our opinion, is London’s best and supreme Thai restaurant.

It's a Thai jewel with lovely decor and ambience. Feels a bit crowded with closely parked tables. The food has a lot of flavour and taste. Portions are small. Spent £75 to keep the belly nurtured. The starter was bit dry and just warm, you would expect hot as the satay is grilled. The lemongrass tea is recommended. The sea bass was flavorful and drooling. Overall, for the price and portion it would deter me from visiting often, considering other options.

Being asked to move tables half way through our meal to enable the restaurant to accommodate more people made us feel like second rate guests. The table offered was very much inferior to the one we had as it was right in the middle of the room as evidenced by the waiters constantly knocking things off the table as they went past. No gesture by way of an amendment to the bill was even offered. This is a place which is losing its way and we won’t be back. If anyone who runs the restaurant is reading this, then remember you need local customers and losing regulars will be your downfall.

The best Thai we had in ages. Service was prompt, clean, very attentive. All meals were cooked fresh, full of flavour. We haven’t left anything on the plates and we well over ordered.

Hands down the best Thai food I've had. Each dish from the starter to the seafood mains to the choc orange pud...absolute knockout. Definitely memorable.

This is a favourite restaurant of ours and has been for many years… the food is DELICIOUS

After trying to find a decent restaurant open on a Monday (btw not many are open Mondays these days) we came across this amazing lovely restaurant. From the very first sip of the excellent St Emillion Grand Cru to the last mouthful of the mango dessert it was exceptional. You must try the beef curry number 74. WOW out of this world especially the way the meat melts in your mouth. The staff are very friendly and made our experience even more enjoyable and we’ll definitely be back soon. A local gem.

Delicious and reasonably priced Thai.

This year we have become regulars, having ignored it for several years before the plandemic, after several disappointing meals. On its good days, Sukho is better than most restaurants in Thailand (we have visited annually for over 3 decades, except the scamdemic years, which allows us some basis for this comparison). We'd say that on every 2 visits out of 3, all the dishes are excellent but we do tend to go at the weekend when we are guessing the good chef is most likely to be there. Our favourite dishes are tom yam goong (sour-hot prawn soup), tom kah gai (chicken & coconut soup), som tam (Thai salad) and massaman (slow cooked beef curry). We were very disappointed with the gai sam rod, crispy chicken nuggets with a "family recipe 3 flavour sauce" which turned out to be sweet chilli sauce straight from the bottle. Some of the other dishes were also disappointing and we haven't tried them again, either. This might be a mistake because even the great dishes can sometimes be disappointing - it depends whether the good chef is there and preparing the dishes we ordered. We have the same issue with excellent restaurants in Thailand and they will never admit whether or not the good chef is in the kitchen on any particular day (bait and switch).

Very good Thai restaurant in the heart of Fulham. You feel like you’re in Thailand; large choice of dishes, traditional Thai food, friendly crew and a lovely Asian experience. Have a try, it worth a good dinner.

Another lovely meal. For us this is some of the best Thai food there is and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The whole family never ceases to be so happy to dine here. Good Vegan/Veggie selection for those who are looking for this.

We have been to Sukho many times but never experienced the same. We had dinner there last night and the current manager of the restaurant was very rude and was misbehaving, the restaurant is incredible generally in terms of taste but because of the way the manager treated us, it ruined the whole experience.

Best Thai in London! I’ve been going ever since they opened (I want to say going on nearly 20 years!) and it has been consistently excellent!! The service is faultless, the food absolutely delicious and without doubt the best in London!! Some of the dumplings are only to be found in royal households in Thailand - chor muang and pan sib (excuse the spelling!). Even in some of the finest hotels in Thailand (Amanpuri / Six Senses Yao Noi / Pimalai), they struggle to make these so it’s an absolute testament to Sukho that these dumplings are made fresh by the wonderful and skilled chefs at Sukho! Please go and support this wonderful local neighbourhood restaurant - you won’t be disappointed!! Even go out of your way to go!! BRILLIANT!! Keep up the good work Sukho!! 🙌😍🤤. Terrible. Dimsum sticky and doughy. It was like eating uncooked dough. The pad Thai was sweet, no vegetables, three prawns with tons of powdered peanuts. The sweet and sour was 1kg sugar with tomato sauce and lemon. Absolutely disgusting and explains why its always empty..should shut down.

The food was very good indeed. Our party of six selected a pretty wide variety, and none of it disappointed. The ambiance in the restaurant was both happy and relaxed. My main praise, though, goes to the two servers, who were absolutely superb. They anticipated our needs, were friendly throughout, and I watched as they helped an elderly diner put her coat on, hold the door open, and then rush out to help open her umbrella.

Yes, the prices are too high, and the portions are...erm, let's call them modest, but this is the best Thai I've ever eaten anywhere in the world. We're two very tough customers but have never had a mediocre meal here. They've wrenched the five stars out of me :-). Outstanding.

Great restaurant always have a good meal her, slightly on the expensive side. Tables are very close together, do feel they should space the tables out a bit more especially in current times, luckily the tables either side cancelled.

Obsessed with the curries and fish cakes here! They are light, and taste very authentically flavoured. The coconut rice is delicious too (and I’m sure it’s very indulgent!) I’ve not given 5 stars because there have been a couple of occasions when the scallops have been missing from my curry when it’s been delivered without notice or price reduction and there is a LOT of lemongrass in all the dishes which can be a bit difficult to work around.

I love this place. The food is incredible. Real Thai food, very clean, excellent service, smiley staff, quick and accurate. I am allergic to chili, even after one month they still remember that and I never had any problem which is not guaranteed in other Thai restaurants I have been. Lovely place.
