Had lovely afternoon tea, maybe should have ordered one to share!! The cafe is quirky but worth a visit. Our only small negative is we wished we had been asked which cake we would like, pistachio is not my thing.

A gem in the NQ, I was very surprise, it is a “sugar” place however I order savory dish whish was delicious!!! It has a good variety of deserts and food. Scones with pistachios cream is something to try. Highly recommend the pasta, I will try next tine the focaccia, that they make with fresh bread.

Somehow paid £8.70 for two hot drinks only! The service was cold and unwelcoming so not worth the price (if there was a service charge added or the drinks were really that expensive each??). Unlikely to go back.

The latte had a beautifully subtle floral aroma without being overpowering. The balance of sweetness and lavender notes was spot on, and the creaminess of the milk made it incredibly comforting. It’s definitely a must-try for anyone looking for something unique yet satisfying. Scone with Cream and Jam 🥯 The scone was fresh and had a perfectly crumbly texture that paired excellently with the thick, rich clotted cream and fruity jam. Each bite felt like a little bit of heaven. Ambiance & Service ✨ The cafe itself has such a welcoming and warm atmosphere. The staff was friendly, and attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, Sugar Junction delivered delicious drinks, heavenly scones, and a relaxing ambience on every front. Honestly one of the best cafés I have ever been to. The food was delicious and arrived very quickly. The servers were lovely and super helpful. The tea selection was great and paired perfectly with the world's best scones (and the decadent kinder cake). The café was decorated beautifully with a 19th century/early 20th century aesthetic accompanied by jazz music to add to the ambience. And even with all that, the prices were super reasonable. Only £8.50 for my dish of smashed avo, tomatoes, rocket, feta, and delicious sour dough toast. Would recommend to anyone who wants to have a nice morning out.

Pleasant atmosphere for a drink and food. Loved the scones. Didn’t care for the service charge being tacked on then being asked to pay in the beginning. Making it having service after having the food and drinks a bit of a challenge.

Having been following the Facebook page for a few years now I finally got the pleasure of visiting (I live in York so not exactly local!). I had high expectations and wasn’t disappointed at all. Lovely place and lovely food. I had French toast and it was amazing. So light and yummy. Highly recommend!

Went here for breakfast during a long weekend in the city, and enjoyed it so much we went back the next morning! Their french toast is a sight to behold, and the Turkish Eggs left me very happy. Also their tea selection is great!

This is my new favourite coffee shop in Manchester. My God, have they nailed the service, food and ambience! They also have good opening hours, opened all week and weekends. Be prepared to queue though. We were a walk in so it was completely unexpected how much we were going to love this place. I recommend: a) Orange and passion fruit tea b) Summer focaccia sandwich c) Pulled beef focaccia sandwich d) Lemon layered cake I am genuinely still dreaming about this place. I hope if they ever consider opening a second location that they choose Bristol🩷

How is this not the top-rated place in all of Manchester? It’s genuinely incredible and I’d bend the rules of math and award 6/5 if it were possible. The service and decor were both lovely, with all the servers being incredibly friendly and pleasant. The food was divine - almost a spiritual experience. We had the pulled beef focaccia and the ham and cheese focaccia and they were incredible. The focaccia is made fresh each day by their Italian chef, and it perfect - slightly crisp salted outside and soft and moist inside. The pulled beef was marinaded in a garlic and wine sauce which elevated the whole experience, and the creamy mozzarella in the other sandwich was top quality. The lemon cake to end was similarly freshly made and incredibly soft and moist, with the frosting being perfect and avoiding being too sweet. This just rocketed to being our favourite place to eat in the city!

The staff were so nice and friendly and they made me, my wife and my dad feel right at home. That alone would have been enough for five stars but then the cake and coffee were top notch too. My new favourite place, highly recommended!

Had to write a review about this place after going for brunch last Sunday. The decaf flat white was 10/10, and the avo and eggs were next level. Great atmosphere, perfect food. Loved it - highly recommend.

Probably one of the best cafes within NQ! I’ve been a regular for almost a year and the service never fails to disappoint! The staff are very friendly and attentive. They serve the best hot chocolates and probably one of the best brownies within Manchester! Would definitely recommend this cafe to anyone.

Never have I ever paid a service charge before receiving any service. Just put your prices up and stop pretending its a service charge, if its that - take the payment when settling. Have to say I'll never go back. Good food, mind.

Fabulous brunch, great coffee and really welcoming- highly recommend!

We went to Sugar Junction for lunch yesterday and only had to wait a short time for a free table on this busy Sunday afternoon. The café looked really cute from the outside and was nicely decorated inside. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. I chose the Black Truffle & Burrata Tortelloni, which were delicious. My friend's Coffee & Pistachio French Toast also looked incredibly yummy and she really enjoyed it. We had a pleasant time at Sugar Junction and will be back for their tempting looking cakes soon!

Been to a number of cafes throughout Manchester in the morning so as to check work emails. 1st time been here and was very impressed by the LARGE americano (half the size in other Manchester cafes) and the breakfast choices. Will be coming again to try out brunch menu choices.

I had an amazing birthday ! My grandaughter booked afternoon tea for us both. The food, tea, service and atmosphere was perfect. We even ordered an extra tea pot each, because we liked it that much we did not want to leave. I can highly recommend ☕️🍰 the Sugar Junction.

Beautiful place, with a lot of charm and very beautiful bohoo/vintage dishes and decoration. Good portions of cake, the carrot one spectacular, the other (mango with something else that I don't remember) excessively sweet. The white chocolate shake tasted more like milk than anything else. I wouldn't repeat it but I would try some other cake/sweet again.

Working in the area for the day, happen to park out side this little gem. Only called in for a takeaway latte, lovely coffee at a fair price, staff lovely and friendly. Definitely revisit and recommend.

Buenas porciones de tarta, la de zanahoria espectacular, la otra (de mango con algo más que no recuerdo) excesivamente dulce. El batido de chocolate blanco sabía más a leche que otra cosa. No lo repetiría pero volvería a probar alguna otra tarta/dulce.

Very cozy cafe. We only ate a scone - very good in fact - accompanied by a delicious tea, but the cakes and sandwiches that we saw passing by made us want to come back with more appetite. Adriana who takes care of the room is charming and efficient. I recommend.

Bad: wobbly table, small portions (left hungry), club sandwich wasn't a club sandwich (only one slice of bread), discretionary charge should be optional (especially if you have to pay upfront), got overcharged slightly.

I've not been in here for about ten years, mainly because there's always been a queue. Still just as nice, pleasant staff, great coffee, lovely cake.

Just try the focaccia! We love coming to this place for brunch, the atmosphere inside is amazing, the food is amazing and portion sizes are more than generous, with our personal favourites being any of the focaccias and their French toast! Their brunch options are very solid too! The staff are always very friendly and quick and their prices are very reasonable! 10/10
