Subway in Braintree

I have been to this subway once and all i can say is do not go here i have now got a severe case of food poisoning and have been up most the night visiting the loo AVOID AT ALL COSTS worst service and food i have ever been provided from a subway

i went to this subway for the first time at 3pm on the 5th of august. the staff member was very rude and unhelpful. he did not listen to what i was asking and was very snappy when he didn’t hear what i said. i have never had a bad experience with anyone working at subway until i came here. the food was wonderful as usual but was very disappointed with the customer service which made my experience unenjoyable.

My girlfriend had a sub with salami, cheese, olives and Caesar sauce. She is currently at home with severe food poisoning. She said the salami tasted out of date. The Caesar sauce was sour indicating it was also expired.

Boys in there never disappoint! They go out their way to make sure customers leave happy. Fresh and Piping hot subways.

Great guy serving allowed me to use the toilet even after he had cleaned it for the day, sandwich was delicious as well! Thank you bro 🙏

Pleajty of space staffed were helpful. The accessible toilet is at back of the store up a slight slope. Standard accessible toilet the emergency pull cord was tangled and not reaching the floor.

Food and service are fine, but when did subway get so expensive?! £15 for two 6 inch subs with a drink and cookie.

Not a massive subway fan but the service was good and the food edible. Truthfully I can't really moan or praise its just a OK place to eat. The service on the other had was good. Polite and quick to help and get our order done.

Food is just about good enough to fill a hole, charged 9.89 for a 9.59 meal deal (without explaining why), staff are undisciplined (wearing ear pods while on shift) and don't care, customer service is barebones and atmosphere is just bland and empty, just like the store.

Edit on the 07 June 2022. Still could do with a tidy up more often. Other then the issue above it was a subway, so pretty consistent with the rest of them.

I went to subway @dover business park a few months ago and had the rudest girl and young man working there. When I entered there were two other customers and I waited whilst they chatted away. When my turn came they said the shop was closed. I argued that I had waited there for 10 minutes but they wouldn’t budge insisting the till was now locked down. I left with a hungry teenager in tow and when I reached Lidl I looked at the time and it was still 5 minutes to their closing time. I went right back and told them i would complain about them and the boy with a sullen look begrudgingly told me okay he’d do ine what Dino want as if he was doing me the favour. I vowed never to return but a couple of weeks ago, we were passing by and hungry I decided to bare the insults and go back. The staff had changed and the most wonderful, considerate, helpful and smiling staff were in front giving a completely new meaning to customer service. Glad subway decided to improve their staff so full stars for them now!

I have just received my Oder and 2 of them was not tossed and it was all clod and no cheese on 2 of them and we called the subway up and thay was really unprofessional and there not done nothing about it really 😡😡

Real bad food poisoning whilst pregnant, I had days off work and all I was offered was a free sandwich. Didn't change their gloves once either whilst touching most things. I tried emailing to complain but it's all copy and pasted messages 👍👍

I like it here, love the vegan meat ball sub 😋

My favourite place of all time! The food is AMAZING staff at okish but only in there for the food anyway, highly recommend the food

Miminamal fillings and service, dried out salad fillings, generally unsatisfactory. Uncommunicative staff without, not a pleasant experience, the main issue was lack of, small amount of fillings. Not value for money.

Standard subway cant really go wrong

Fast food and comfortable seating

Depends who you get serving you as to how happy they are. Sometimes 5 stars but they do have their 3 star staff too.

May favourite is the tuna and egg salad. Very filling.

Good selection fresh selections friendly staff enjoyed the roll will go again my daughter who is vegetarian is well catered for

SETH is an outstanding manager of subway!!! He corrected my order that i got wrong as it was a mistake and he went beyond his job role, to make sure we enjoyed our food at subway. He is very ind and friendly. Thank you so much

the man behind the counter was rude, I told him im going to leave him a one star he scratched his bum and touched my sandwich and now ive got a mouth rash, thanks subway

I go here a lot and it’s always good. The lovely woman who always seems to be working is awesome and runs a tight ship. She’s always training staff and working every point of the counter. Food is always yummy and service friendly.

He was rude! He shouted violently at mwah no happy costumer! Because I asked to use the subway toiletry :( NOT HAPPY

Won't go back here again when a particular member of staff is there. Rude isn't an accurate description, the poor girl that was shouted at had only asked the staff member for a plain tuna sandwich and had to say it a few times before she got what she wanted.

Staff are nice, coffee machine regularly broken, terrible latte, often no soap in toilet.

Good selection of foods, place was busy and staff were attentive. Lots of people were making s mess which wasn't very nice.

Staff are friendly. The restaurant is kept reasonably clean. There is plenty of seating. A good option for a quick meal.

What can you say about just another Subway sandwich shop who's corporate mind-set is seeking to cover the country with similar outlets. One thing that this Subway does offer to Braintree is late night opening across Friday and Saturday nights catering to the alcohol impaired crowd milling from one pub to another or en-route home. As I think back to the UK mid-morning food scene before Subway arrived on these shores - I do feel that custom sandwich making existed but people felt less enabled to ask for a sandwich made to their personal desire. Subway did make this more widely available. Well done.

I love here. If you enjoy the healthy option, or, like me, the meatball and cheese probably not so healthy option (!) it doesn't matter, here pick and choose, great variety, great taste, great value.
