Subway in Cardiff

I orderd food today. The order is ready and i went there, the shop is closed there is no food😑😑 and lost money. I dont know how to recover my order money also😒

Opening times online and on door don’t seem correct, I like this store but can be frustrating when you come to get something only to realise as you get there that’s it closed. If this issue can be fixed I will improve my rating, I would like to still be a customer here but hard to give service to a closed store

had a lovely long black hair in my food and when asked for a refund, got told i couldn’t as the sandwich was opened ?

Well the walk up to it was good. Seems there's a few older gentlemen inside having a drink and laughing. So it seems inviting enough. As I entered I noticed how small it was. The woman whom made my "sub" was nice enough. I was very surprised ar how small the 6 inch was. I didn't measure but I'm guessing more like 4 inches. As I opened it to eat and walk at the same time, I instantly noticed the lack of fillers. Hardly any meat or veg. Not my part of town so I doubt I'll be back but if I were, I'd get the 12 inch and insist on more fillings.

Adjusted my rating down. I've ordered from this store several times and each time there has been an issue; Be that missing drinks, missing crisps and now a whole missing sandwich. It's almost impressive at the sheer level of incompetence shown here.

The quality of the food (for the £ spend) is below par. The nachos were soggy and charred? How does that happen.

Not sure if it was just the day I ordered, but my salad was put together atrociously. There was barely any filling and half of the vegetables were missing. I was confused more than anything. I tend to order from the Subway in North Road now and they've yet to fail me

Subway is consistent with the food where ever you are really but the staff in here are shocking. Coffer machine only filled half a cup, god only knows what they did to fill the cup but the resulting drink was vile, undrinkable. Returned said cup of yuk to the counter saying I think somethings wrong with your coffee machine and the answer was a shrug. No replacement drink, or even acknowledgement there was an issue- simply couldn't have actually cared less

These sandwich artists must abstract impressionists because mine looked like it had been mauled by a dog.

24/09: Second order in a row completely wrong: no salad, no cheese, burned black meatball that was a hard as a rock, wrong bread, no meal deal cookie or honey and mustard dip. First order: Ordered a cheesy pepperoni footlong but it’s missing the marinara sauce and cheese. This is the driest sandwich I’ve ever eaten. Why me.

Quick service as I was the only customer they had at that time. Food exactly as expected - standard subway sandwich. It’s a shame the tables were dirty with coffee stains etc. I would understand it if it was busy but the place was completely empty. It would take them 2 min to tidy up.

Ordered 12 Cookies online, only 10 was there...

The manager completely ignores his employees messages and needs. I have not been paid for a few hours without any explanation - sent three messages which were ignored. The food is also not as fresh as it should be - per guidelines from subway :)

Staff were incredibly rude today and made me feel like such an inconvenience as a customer. I wanted to have my wrap toasted as Ive had previously down the bay and was never even given the option! I was also overcharged and made to feel so uncomfortable I didn't want to mention it! Not happy

Staff very rude. Ordered ahead on the app and waited because the order was not going to be ready for another 10 minutes. Which was find I'll happily wait till its ready but was made to be felt a distraction and an inconvenience for food I've paid for. During making my order the one woman was huffing and nodding her head towards myself again making me feel an inconvenience. Also ran out of the drink I ordered in fridge. Had an attitude towards me because they had to go out the back to get more unbelievable. Might need better customer service next time.

Terrible service, rude staff just the brand keeping them going . Ordered everything, did not acknowledge my vouchers, charged over the odds just no energy to argue it as my daughter who is 9 months was hungry!! Shambles

After having previous problems with the card machine on city road this was the next stop. Having being declined again the woman was extremely rude to me saying it was my fault even though the previous shop told me the card payments werent working. After leaving without my food she mumbled it was my fault while leaving the shop.

Staff was rude today, prefer to get food next door at tesco from now on.

Not a place to goto if you want fast service + cross contamination on the food bins Has had face lift but I would still lookout for cross contamination on the veg ........ better now after refit

Don't normally visit here but the two staff working today were really friendly and talked about how they are keeping everything safe. Good price and two nice subs. We'll done

Visited this branch of Subway with my young son to grab a quick breakfast sub as we had plans for the morning. When we arrived just after 9 the door was locked as the person serving had forgotten to open up even though they open at 8 which was a bit disconcerting in itself. Once in we ordered our breakfast subs which were ok but I was a little concerned that what appeared to be raw bacon was put in with precooked sausage and egg and then all grilled together. I did not query this as I assumed that it was common practice in Subway and it was cooked when we received it, just thought it was odd (no Ill effects later I should add). The main issue was that they were having problems with their payment system. I paid using a contactless card and could see the payment had been authorised on the card scanner. The lady serving was insistent it hadn’t gone through and reset the system to check. She then promised me that the payment hadn’t been taken and said I needed to do it again. Once again the same thing happened. At this point I was reluctant to keep paying so I used me phone to pull up my credit card statement which showed two pending transactions for Subway. She then asked me to wait whilst she phoned Barclaycard as she still didn’t believe I had paid.We waited for an hour and every time I said we had to go she insisted we didn’t as ‘I might be needed to speak to Barclaycard’ I am certain she just didn’t want us to leave without paying, when in fact I had paid twice. I finally managed to get out of there by leaving my name and number and promising that I would return if I hadn’t paid. It is now 2 weeks later, I have indeed paid twice and have not been contacted or refunded, I assume this is because they are more than happy with having charged me twice! The sum of money is relatively small and I know technical issues happen but the thing that bothered me most was the time we wasted waiting for a resolution and the insinuation that we were trying to get away without paying when I had proof the payment had gone through. It seems to me this particular branch has no idea of customer service, I will not be visiting them again and would urge others to think carefully before giving them your custom.

The munch was raw asf ( egg and bacon ). How can I get served raw munch in subway smh. Never coming here again.

We needed to provide a buffet for 50 guests. The lady in this branch of Subway couldn't have been more helpful. Brilliant communication and service.

Just discovered the Subway salads. Perfect at the heatwave. Out local Selfies Road subway has very friendly and patient staff working. We love going there.

The shop was fine so was the food very nice but there was a bicycle parked right across the front door and I'm disabled when I got inside I asked for the bike to be removed it was after he was served to which I said to the young man that was serving me why didn't he ask him to move it as it covered all the front door he said he didn't see it but you couldn't miss it and I told him if I'd hurt myself I'd have been seeing my solicitor with subway's so he should do his job properly and watch for thing's like that he wasn't busy only 4 people in shop and 3 of them had been severed it was only me he had to serve.mrs E steer.never any fault with your food.

Bits of meat in the cheese and salad. Staff didn’t change gloves when preparing vegetarian order. Unacceptable.

Food was prepared speedily whilst maintaining the integrity of the sandwich, this helping to avoid the contents of your subway falling out during your meal by way of poor craftsmanship. One note worthy detail which can't be blamed on this particular shop is the cost inflation of the cookies. In detail, a single cookie has risen from 50p to 60p, 3 cookies have risen from £1.00 to £1.20 and finally a set of 12 cookies have risen from £3.00 to £3.50. A small but significant change.

I just went to subway with my friends, and they told us we were banned despite not doing anything wrong. At first they said that they were not sure if we were banned, which confused us because we hadn’t done anything in there previously except for buy food and sit down and talk. We were never disrespectful, and we never had any previous confrontations with the staff. They later said that they would serve us food, but we weren’t allowed to sit down there. When we asked why, they said that our ‘friends’ would come into the shop if we stayed.

Very poor customer service from the staff - they were laughing and talking about customers, we were asked to bag our food ourselves as the lady (seems to be welsh) was stressed because the store was only slightly busy and she couldn't be bothered, she made another customer's sandwich upside down and left it like that. My sandwich was made poorly with all the filling falling out while I was eating. A manager should always be present in store to discipline their staff.

I've been to a few Subways, always consistant high standard of food with a good selection of meats and salads for a very reasonable price and very good coffee. Eat in or take away

I came here for a quick bite to eat and was really pleased with the quick, polite service I had. My sandwich came with a drink for £3.10 and had tasty filling with a generous serving of fresh crunchy salad. One of the better subways in Cardiff. If you come here in a large group bear in mind the are only 3 tables and 13 seats

I've never met such rude people in my life... The people who work there are so blunt and have a very nasty tone when they talk. They talk about the customers in polish and think we don't know what they are saying. The food is nice but I hate going there because the customer service is appalling! They slap my subway around and rush when they have no reason to, especially when the shop is empty... They have argued with customers and lied also, it really isn't where I want to go anymore.

Absolutely Appalling service, Eastern European run, whom barley understand any English. You complain ( everything is thrown in you're roll) you're met with hostility and sheer arrogance, by another Eastern European, obviously running the show. This place is Wellfield Road NOT the Town centre in the middle of night , like some Kebab shop, Again ,another Multi national Chain , comes along and ruins this lovely little Street, with poor quality processed products and rude ,Mafia style staff. Disgusted.

Standard subway. Average seating. Nice staff on all the occasions I went.

Popped in as it was one of the few sandwich places open. I'm veggie and opted for the 'veggie deluxe'. Served by a gruff woman who made no recommendations, I was presented with a very dry piece of bread (think sawdustI). I assumed it came with cheese or some sort of meat alternative. It didn't. Just a very brown bit of salad and mayo. I'm not sure where the 'deluxe' bit applies. Absolutely foul. Perhaps you are expected to request cheese or something but I assumed from the marketing that it was a product in itself. A Burger King veggie burger comes with a burger after all! Not convinced that brown lettuce is deluxe and the bread was far from fresh. Hideous.

Just like any other subway, decent food for the price, can get busy at times. Has a few tables inside to sit and a toilet.
