Subway in Cannock Chase

We arrived in store to a small queue of 2 couples and one person in front of us. It soon became apparent that it was taking ages for customers to get served as delivery drivers were turning up and collecting orders. We all waited patiently for another 25 minutes. The staff at no time apologised for the wait and carried on ignoring the customers right in front of them and continued with other orders. After half an hour I approached the counter and said to the the girl “can you tell me when we are going to be served as we have been here half an hour already!” To which she replied “we have got a £90 order” and I said “but what about your customers here standing in front of you” and she responded with “these are customers as well”. I understand that they were busy.However, the complete lack of regard for waiting customers was awful. There was no apology for the wait and absolutely no communication! They simply ignored us!

I’d order online unless you fancy standing in the queue for the afternoon - they are so busy with online collection drivers they ignore the people in the shop

Been going here for a few years and no issues with the food or staff as they always make you feel welcome. Unable to eat in probably due to the fact that they have no resources to regularly clean tables. That is one big issue for this branch over the years even before covid. Finally there is no social distancing and most customers don't wear face coverings, subway customers in Rugeley seem to think they can use their own rules. I was the only one from 8 in the queue wearing a covering. Face coverings protect other people so I did wonder why I was bothering protecting them when they all had a complete lack of respect for me. Until the staff start enforcement I have to sadly recommend this branch is avoided.

Tables all dirty floor dirty had to ask for table to be cleaned and there not busy staff look dirty with hair hanging everywhere
