Bad customer service They don't know how to behave

Footlong meal just went up from £10.59 to £13 in one go. They forgot they're selling sandwiches 🤪

Right opposite Aldgate station. Experienced friendly staff and a quick service despite the queue being nearly out the door when I popped in (close to lunch time). Halal to which means drained blood.

When we enter there is no customer only one customer is waiting for his subway we are four people we want to order two veggie delight. We select the bread but after selecting the bread then lady her name is shiekh she is behaving very rude for stuffing what we like in vegetables and there is no one but still she want to do hurry and very wrong and bad behaviour with asking things so we don’t like she doing same thing with other costumers when we are eating in still we didn’t say anything thanks good bless her

Sign on door and online said closes at 9pm. Arrived at 825pm to find the doors already locked with employees still inside. Knocked on glass and pointed to time and employee just shrugged his shoulders and made a “no” motion. I would understand if it was past 850pm but not at least 35 minutes before closing.

I had a code for discount the lady was speaking in bengali she asked his colleague that we take the code the person just ignored her and she told the scanner is not working Very bad customer service

Hi, I’m informing for manager or owner attention. There is a stuff as I know his name is “Harun”, who is so rude with customers. Even it’s not only i faced, 2 of my friends faced same problem there. Looking we guys loosing your customers and reputation in same time for one person. Others stuff is so polite and nice but his way of talk and service is so rude and effective. I do business as well so I know in a business you should make a good relationship with your customers by your service. I don’t think so I’ll go there any more or my friends and friends of friends as well. You should take proper steps for him (Harun). Thanks.

Strongly disappointed here. Very clear from the beginning I am looking for a meal deal cost 3.99. A friend of my also order something totally different. In the end paid 18.20 ... feeling robbered here. Never again will visit that shop honestly

Puts double cheese although i didnt ask for it and charges me at the end. Couldn't reverse as it was heated already. They need to listen and understand better.

How do you mess up a sandwich? Literally the nastiest sandwich I ever had from subway. Not edible, went straight to the trash, rubbish. So bloody awful. This is the place to go if you have no taste buds. I recommend going somewhere else

Conveniently located subway branch, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable and quick, i loved my sandwich and enjoyed it in the park that is just across the street.

Very convenient location, just outside Aldgate underground and bus stations. Food Hygiene rating of 5. A/C is working, which is a must in this heat. Friendly staff, clean premises. Nice fresh sandwiches made to your order in front of you. £8.25 for a foot long chicken sandwich, not bad. Their door is a little heavy and small.

Took Chicken strips and Veg salad. Very tasty. Enjoyed it.

Worst Subway I have encountered in East London. You're probably better off eating somewhere else, the staff is unprofessional. I asked to toast my sub and he simply microwaved it and argued how I didn't know how to eat. SIMPLY AVOID THIS PLACE

Small but unique; this Subway is filled with hospitable and cheery workers, Man like Mickel, my guy was so nice, bro never fails to put a smile on my face. The sandwiches are also packed with flavour, the way these man lay the sandwiches is like the perfect sandwich from Adventure Time (if you know, you know). My favourites so far have been the Meatball Sub, these man know how to bring out flavour and juiciness. Another one of the workers, Shamson, do not be fooled by her slightly loud voice, she is very sweet and is always putting up a smile. You Go Shamson! One thing that should be noticed is that it isnt very spacious so, i'd prefer to eat outside if i were you, although during the making of this review i did eat indoors. Hygeine wise: The floors are usually clean, since most of the action is behind the counter, so there is rarely any smuges or vegetable drops or sticky substances moisted to the ground or even the walls. In addition to the fact that it is a small Subway branch, so customers don't really have a reason to splish a splosh or 2 on floors or on tables. The atmosphere is quite calm, especially at night, you'll find a tranquill experience. Of course this is coming from a regular at the shop :)

Mike was very friendly and helpful even replaced my hash browns that was over cooked in the oven thanks.

This is my local subway, get lunch most days here. Mike (tall guy) is especislly always super friendly and pays close attention to make good sandwiches (remembers my order and lays the ingredients out evenly). Tbh would probably not come so regularly if he and the female manager weren't always so friendly.

I thought I'll give it a last try. But it's sugar bread and really bad for your health. We have an explosion in diabetic people subway helps this too

As per other reviews, this branch is very poor. Highly unhygienic, dirty meat and vegetable area. The worker Harun is very unprofessional. Subway is very strong on its contamination policy whereas Harun does not change gloves. He even goes midway to the counter to finalise the payment, touches money and continues on with the same gloves for vegetables. I have worked in Subway before and was warned not to touch anything and frequently change gloves. Even after every sandwich. He doesn’t! I only came here because the branch was Halal. Otherwise it’s completely pathetic. What a waste. Dirty tables and very less room to sit. Everything is bare-able but the unhygienic and bad food making of Harun is unacceptable. I felt sick right after eating. The management needs to see the CCTV footage and get this fixed. Harun needs to be fired

Subway is too good usually, but hygiene was missing here. Although the people were changing their gloves but the cheese slash are only in a non veg window and the bread doesn't look fresh.. They should manage vegan options in a better way around.

Harun is the best subway artist I’ve come across. Great energy. Great personality. Great conversation. Just an amazing person and service is always fast. Truly deserves this review. Always remembers my order. Top Man !!

Was very hurt and disgusted that HABIE told a lady to give me an old stale bread that was on the side instead of a fresh one😭 he tried to lie and white and brown bread ...I expressed my disgust and hurt and demanded another fresh one 😭

It was a subway and what you would expect but no customer toilets

Behavior was rudely of outlet person .quality of vegan footlong not good .. So cold it wasn't even edible without heating it up in the microwave. doesn't put in oven and offer to customer .I have eat many place vegan patties from subway but never like this bad experience.

Best meal deal : a foot long and food poisoning . Some of the ingredients seemed to have been there from the pre-covid era. Highly recommended for masochists who want to torture their GI system.

Worst subway that cut the meatballs in half and give you half a meatball, advertising has 4 whole meatballs in a 6 inch, please do not advertise falsely and try to rip off customers, i caught the staff doing this on almost everyday, customers should given what they paid for, if you don't have enough sell the ones you have and put it outstock

Good sandwich to eat and enjoy the views outside?

Staff are very friendly and are amazing to talk to once you get to know them. The food is very good but that's expected by Subway. Recommended by me!

The guy looked annoyed when I entered the shop, as if I was interrupting him. He didn’t greet me so I just went on and order. When my sub was out of the oven he looked at me but still no words, eventually he pointed at the condiments, so I just chose a few, while wrapping my meal, the sandwich broke and a meatball fell on the counter, he put it back and acted like nothing happened. I asked him if he was going to serve me that, only then he spoke and asked me if I didn’t want it. Extremely poor service, my sandwich was delicious as always tho 👌🏻

Can't fault the service. I had an urgent last minute request to organise some lunches for a meeting. Contacted this branch of Subway who despite normally needing notice the day before, pulled out all the stops and prepared two platters for collection within an hour. This was despite their being very busy as I could hear them dealing with customers. Much appreciated!

Ahhh delicious Subway. Some of staff are sometimes a little under par over the years but the manager Mike is great; a friendly guy who does a great job. Will be back again soon!

Just the most depressing place with staff who have lost the will to do a decent job. I ordered a chicken pizziola. The guy used salami instead of pepperoni. He forgot the marinara sauce until I asked him. The bread was ripped completely in half. Each vegetable was 2-3 slivers of nothing. Such a miserable experiment. Staff that get zero job satisfaction. Avoid.

Rude staff , from previous experience, and they are supposed to open at 7am. Instead the workers arrive to work late and have locked the doors at 8am. Still preparing the bread.

Very rude lady decided to have a conversation on the phone whilst serving us. Dropped cheese in chicken and wiped it off, returning it to normal cheese pot. Incredibly rude.

Best place to calm down your hunger... if you are travelling to central London its in front of Aldgate Tube station across right side of the road. Staff is very friendly and attentive so nodoubt you will get good service... not very rushed hence less waiting time... only one star is less because I have seen staff was serving 2 customer at the same time for veg and non-veg food without changing the gloves.... that might cause food allergy or chances of mixing non-veg stuff to vegetarians. Plenty of good space to sit and enjoy the food over there... food is also fresh and hygienic..... So if you are hungry and have less time to search food of your choice you the best place to go is Subway and another reason is to get healthy food.

The staff is nice, the place is clean. Otherwise your everyday Subway.

Really friendly staff. They were chatty and smiley. Wish there was more vegan choice

I regularly ate lunch here a couple of times per week for a year. Some of the staff were nice enough and could turn out a pair of simple sandwiches. However the majority of the staff are completely incompetent. The average experience is: spend 15-20mins in the queue, say your order 3-4 times. Watch them carefully because they will make mistakes. Leave 30 mins after you walked in with cold (toasted a while ago) sandwiches which may or may not (50/50) be what you ordered.

I usually love subway and have been waiting to try this one out - literally dreaming about treating myself on the way home from work! Unfortunately my dreams were not realised. To begin with, the man serving me threw my food into the bowl and threw the scoop back into the box. He then dropped my salad bowl on the counter - which was half empty by the way. He also told me to remove my bank card before the machine had finished and was extremely rude when I waited until the machine told me to. Usually have above average service at Subway - this visit actually upset me and I lost my appetite.

Avoid this subway, there are better ones close by.

Been to a few Subways. Most have been average or above, but I've never been to one as bad as this. I've gotten 2 veggie patties here and both times the patty was cold. So cold it wasn't even edible without heating it up in the microwave. I've had veggie patties in plenty of other Subways and I know they can make it better and hot.

Very rushed, trying to bang out as many sandwiches as possible when there was no room on the counter for them and the queue was around the corner but still she kept shouting.

This particular Subway is really terrible, prices are not in line with other subway's and service is dismal. avoid.

Place is shut 15min before closing time. There were 3 other people besides me trying to get food. Don’t waste your time coming here if you’re not 30 min before closing

Badly managed store. I'm saying it as a regular customer. Last 2 weeks visited the shop 3 times, the coffee machine was always out of order... I was unable to purchase my order. Also the smoke detector keeps beeping every 10 seconds, it means the battery is out and needs to be changed, I keep telling them but no response. This morning I went inside saw 'the machine is out of order' sign so left the shop straight away. Wouldn't visit this store ever again.

Honestly the worst Subway I have been to, unfortunately this is the only one near my work so it's either this or nothing. ALWAYS a queue (which I have been stood in for the last 20 minutes whilst writing this), often running out of filling and even the bowls they put the salad in??? Staff are notoriously slow and look dazed and confused most of the time. Avoid this one if you can.

This was a second visit, as I went there on a Sunday and before 5pm they were closed. Went back next day and asked for Head office's details, told to look at the receipt. Rude, no customer service and to believe the kids sub is small enough, they are the only ones I know that cut a quaternary off a 6 inch for a kids sub. Won't be going there again. The other one at Spittle fields is 100% better.

The worst subway ever. Never have more than 2 staff working and they work slow. Normally wait around 10 minutes here to get served at lunchtime during the week.

Very busy during lunchtime (I was there 1250pm) but the wait wasn't too long, 8-10 minutes. The staff are friendly, everything was in stock (I have been to few subways where certain breads were out of stock during the lunch period). A good branch overall
