Sticks'n'Sushi Wimbledon in Merton

Went there on a Tuesday evening. The service was top notch and spot on. The mushroom croquettes were very tasty however sadly the sushi didn’t taste fresh at all, which was a disappointment and not worth the price at all. Or what you expect from such an establishment with such prices!

Sushi was amazing, one of the best I have tried. It was a little too expensive, if I wasn't on a trip and it wouldn't have been the last day I wouldn't have gone there. For me, water should be free in these places, but it wasn't, and because I wasn't aware that it is charged, I drank all of it. The waitress poured water into our glasses from a new bottle after we had asked for the check and charged us for the bottle. But many different options of foods and interesting combinations. I recommend for fancyer events or celebration's like anniversarys

Genuinely the best dining experience I’ve had. I cannot fault anything. The food was exceptional, the best sushi I’ve had. We got the “as good as it gets” for 3 with the caviar upgrade. I would definitely recommend!

Very good, bit expensive, but its London.

It has been my favourite restaurant for many years. Every special occasion has been celebrated with Japanese and Danish infusion. Always fresh. Always delicious. Always outstanding.

We walked into Sticks n Sushi in Wimbledon, thinking we'd give it a shot (was a Friday evening so chances were slim of us not getting a walk in table). They managed to find a space for us by the window! Sushi and sticks were equally great. Prices were decent for the quality of food. The platter we had cosy £27 and we ordered a few sticks, and some rice with it. In total a bill of just under 80 for two including x2 cocktails (which were tasty!). Not bad at all 🥰

I came before for sushi totally avoiding the sticks , but boy I was wrong! The sticks are as good as the sushi, a lot of different choices and ALL super tasty ! The Covent Garden one is a bit nicer aesthetically but what’s important is food and wow , speechless

The decor was nice but in all honesty there's not much Japanese authenticity about this restaurant. Having lived in Japan for 3 years I found it overly twisted to Western taste and style. The food looked Japanese and appetising but tasted really bland.. wasabi was from a supermarket tube I think. The scallops were so bland that I thought it was plain fish. The service is average not you would associate with Japanese honour in service. I saw a waitress carrying a pair of chopsticks in her back pockets. All in all for the huge price (£175/ 2 persons) it was not very satisfying. Better head to New Malden for better alternatives and value for money.

One of the best Japanese cuisine restaurant, which delight restaurant, for two people was more than enough, I could not post everything, is an ok price for restaurants in the range of expensive in Wimbledon, worth every pound. Loved it, I will come back for sure!

First visit and i must say the quality is sublime for a chain. Great interior and design. The food was fabulous and very varied. All the sushi was great but also the salad and black cauliflower stood out. The beef tataki so good we ordered another portion. Quite pricey but sushi always is

Had a fantastic experience at Sticks'n'Sushi in Wimbledon. The Wagyu tartar was incredible – tender, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The escallops were delicious, paired with a creamy sauce that was just perfect. The sashimi was super fresh and the vibrant colors were a feast for the eyes as well as the palate. The ambiance is modern and welcoming, with friendly and knowledgeable staff that made great recommendations. Overall, a must-visit spot for sushi lovers!

My wife recommended we try this restaurant out for our anniversary so we went for lunch on Monday. Our waitress Jaina was brilliant - very attentive, service was prompt and we didn’t have to wait for anything. The food was amazing, everything came out in a timely manner and passed our expectations on taste. My wife had the ‘Mixed Emotions’ meal set and I had the ‘Robust’. The drinks were slightly expensive but very nice and the dessert (karameru) was great too. We will be returning again!

My family come here once every year for my sister’s birthday and every year it excels expectations. We always order a range of things because every dish is genuinely incredible. Our all time favourite is the chicken meatball sticks. I could probably eat 100 of them they’re so damn good with rice too. The interior has always been lovely with dim lighting and a minimal earthy feel to the decor. It can get a little loud in there due to poor acoustics but there is no need to talk when the food is that great. PLEASE COME HERE!!!!

Probably the 12th time to go here. It's always the preferred restaurant for any member of my family to celebrate birthdays. As usual, food was still as good as ever and service standards have also been maintained. Will always be happy to go back.

This place is super cozy and has a great selection of sushi’s with a great range of drinks to choose from too. The staff are quite attentive and provide great recommendations. I’m glad we dined here as the ambience was great for the occasion we celebrated! Definitely, worth a visit and indulging into an evening of delicious selections of sushi & sashimi 😋

A great dinner with my family. The food and the service from the waitress was excellent, however I was a bit annoyed when I paid my bill plus the service charge in cash and the gentleman who took our payment asked me if I wanted my change. Any floor staff should never ask any customer this after they’ve just paid you £20+ in service charge. Even if it’s just a pound or two (Ours was a lot more) just take the money and bring back the change without asking. But kudos to the kitchen staff for the food.

Celebrated my wife’s birthday with 3 children. Food was great and kids love the Bento box. Flowers were delivered to the restaurant prior to arrival and presented with a little birthday dessert at the end of the meal. This isn’t the first time and won’t be the last time visiting. Thank you to everyone at sticks n sushi.

An unexpected nice spacious sushi spot located on Wimbledon high street. Good warm service and food was great. "Please leave room for dessert" t-shirts worn by the team was definately a shout, desserts were stunning. Prices on the higher end but won't complain for what i got.

Really love this place and should visit more often. Booked two seats at the bar which meant that we were in the heart of the action. The restaurant has been fitted out beautifully and offers tables, sofas or seats at the bar. We had a selection of starters followed by the sushi. All very fresh and delicious. Favourites included the tuna tartare bites, the salmon tartare, the cauliflower with black truffle goma and the scallops. Great cocktails and a well priced wine menu! Definitely one to visit if you haven’t been before.

If you're after some seriously good sushi in Wimbledon....this is the place to go. A real good variety of food that's tasty, fresh and well presented. Service was good and atmosphere was great.

Really nice place to have sushi, reasonable prices. We ordered sushi platter before head back home by train, nice attentive staff, quick service, fresh food, definitely better experience with the chain in Wimbledon than in Oxford.

This place was so lovely! I was dining alone so I wanted to pick a place that was nice, friendly and comfortable. Right away, I’m greeted very nicely and seated. The whole experience was lovely , every interaction with staff was great, they were informative and kind. The vibe was relaxed and enjoyable, and the food was fantastic. So glad I stopped in!

I had a takeaway, the food was presented great and tasted amazing, the only let down was small portions for the price. I'd like to one day experience the atmosphere by dining in for a treat (where hopefully the price will seem more justified).

Nothing like the one in Wimbledon, no hot towel to wash our hands, families are put upstairs, the food wasn’t as good as the one in Wimbledon same for the service super super slow

Booked a table on farther day. Waited over 1hr the food. Everyone else was getting there food expect us. Called the manager and he was really rude. Told us to either wait or leave and don’t have to pay for the drinks. Never had service like this before as this is our local dinner restaurant. Most definitely they forgot about our food but it’s the rudeness that was unacceptable.

Great selection of sushi platters and delicious skewers. Nice large venue and very helpful staff. Fast service and excellent cocktails. Quite pricey but a really nice selection of small plates elegantly presented and very tasty.

Me and my daughter celebrated here good exams results here and it was really good. Good customer service, good sushi and lovely atmosphere. The staff sent ice cream to our table for the celebration and that was so kind.

Had such a lovely time at sticks'n'sushi Jaina was a brilliant waitress, very attentive and she helped us pick some great dishes and drink. Would highly recommend the wagyu a Yaki and the Hatate ceviche.

Food and drinks were excellent. The wagyu beef and the hotate ceviche were sublime and a special shout out to our waiteress jaina who walked us through the menu and gave sensational recommendations.

It is high-end Japanese restaurant with excellent choice for sushi and Japanese salad. Very good quality food and delicious. The staff is very helpful and very good service here. Very pricey.

It was simply amazing. We came without a reservation because we did not like the Thai restaurant. They picked us up right at the door and did not turn us away. The food was very good.

The food is mediocre, not all the dishes have been served within an hour, and the experience is not good for me.

Great atmosphere, food and service. Couldn't ask for more! On the pricier side but you get what you pay for. The staff even courteously made a drink not on the menu that was requested by my girlfriend, which she loved!

We absolutely love this Sticks. The food is incredible and the staff are always so friendly. A particular mention to Toni, who was our server on 29.04.24. She was so friendly and knowledgable about the menu. She really made our evening - thanks Toni!

The staff was so welcoming and patient, the atmosphere was amazing and I had a great time for my friend’s birthday . Jonny especially was amazing he was so concerned with the service and whether we were happy with everything and he really made our night special and full of positivity. I recommend this place to anyone who loves sushi.

Excellent Japanese food in wimbledon neighborhood, perfect service

the Wimbledon branch has now disappointed me twice and will not visit anytime soon. Once we had plastic in our sushi and the restaurant blamed the new machine they introduced and second time got food poisoning. While this things can happen, I was disappointed by the manned the restaurant treated us. It took ages to respond to us and no resolution.

I have been to this branch 5 times before, always had great experiences. Hence have continually come back and even arranged my wife’s birthday here last year. However, this time we experienced something very different. We had a reservation for ourselves and some friends, who were visiting from another country. We arrived on time and were met by a rude manager, who we’ve never met before. He very bluntly and with no apology said that “table isn’t ready”, then continued to point to us to sit down. We then waited for quite some time and when asked when our table would be ready, we were brushed off by the manager again. To be honest, the rest of the experience was lovely as usual and the rest of the staff were amazing, food was fantastic. However, the communication from this manager left a terrible taste in mouth and I was barely able to enjoy the rest of the evening. In all the other times I’ve been to this branch, there was always the same manager, who was this maxing young lady, who was welcoming, can be seen working hard. This gentleman (the manager) however, was completely a different story.

Regular at Sticks'n'Sushi in Wimbledon. Great spot, service is brilliant, and the food always hits the mark. Try the cocktails as a pre dinner treat, they are lovely.

The menu at Sticks'n'Sushi Wimbledon is extensive, offering a wide variety of sushi rolls, sashimi, and grilled skewers, as well as innovative fusion dishes. Each dish is beautifully presented, showcasing the fresh and high-quality ingredients used. I started with the "Ebi Bites," crispy tempura shrimp served with a tangy ponzu sauce, which were absolutely delicious. Next, I indulged in the "Nigiri Moriawase," a selection of nigiri sushi featuring melt-in-your-mouth fish atop perfectly seasoned rice.

BEST SUSHI OF TOWN AND I THINK OF LONDON!

Great fun, although I'm always more a fan of the sushi than the sticks (which have promise but don't quite live up to the sushi) Cocktail tastes vary but I love the Yuzo Zoo. As a venue the staff were attentive although it feels slightly odd being such a huge open space, a bit like dining in a sports hall (but that doesn't detract from the food!)

Whilst a well decorated space and a good brand this restaurant doesn't seem to be quite as good as it used to be. I thought the sushi was average at best, and despite the energetic friendly service the overall experience wasn't all that great (difficult when the food is generally poor) In a restaurant it was typically hard to get a table at there were dozens of free spaces on a Thursday night. The miso whisky sour I ordered was verging on undrinkable (to the extent I sent it back, which they were fine with) and tasted more like a watered down rum punch, and the white wines we had from the middle of the pricing levels were both extremely unremarkable. It's a relatively expensive restaurant (not obscene) in a nicely designed space, but food and drink across the board has to be much better than that it is.

Great meal. Good variety in the menu. I like that you can pick and choose your own bits of go with a suggested meal. Also good that it has pictures of everything as it’s useful for people who don’t know what dishes are which or for kids who often need to see food before they want it. Service was good, lots of servers willing to help. Decor is nice and the lighting is trendy. Good for couples on a date or a group of friends. Good for kids if it’s earlier in the day.

It used to be our favourite restaurant and we dined here every Weds. However this evening we got unprofessional and unfriendly service including blaming us to forget to order something while we ordered they did not show up. Especially bad while they did not agree what they advertise in the marketing leaflet. Excuse was it is new they don’t know about it but they just handed it to the customers. talked to the manager but unfortunately not helpful and even let to more disappointment. Hope they can improve their service again. Sad to see a good restaurant to be held back by the service.

Kudos to ALL your EMPLOYEES (from all branches!!) Yesterday, I went to the Wimbledon one, but in the meantime I have been to quite a few Sticks’n’Sushi restaurants, the one in White City, Victoria and quite often the Wimbledon one, and I absolutely love going because the staff always makes me feel comfortable and I love the ambience. The best part is the FOODS! I love the food because it looks so beautiful and is so so tasty as well, so I find it’s really worth the money!!! I had no idea about this restaurant, until I was waiting for a bus and looked in the window at the bus stop! The ambience and interior looked nice so I checked out the menu online, which has photos to illustrate the dishes and all looked beautiful, so we booked it for my birthday. I have to say, the food was some of the best food I have ever eaten, matched by incredible presentation. The service was literally impeccable. I don't often comment on service but the servers went above and beyond. The drinks were fantastic, we had 2 non-drinkers in our party and the non-alcoholic cocktails were just as impressive as ours. I couldn't rate this place any higher, we will definitely be returning!!

It was so nice to see, such happy staffs, and also staff who knew what was good on the menu. The food was fabulous I had enjoyed every bite of it.

I highly recommend the shake carpaccio, but the other dishes were relatively average in quality. The restaurant felt a bit overcrowded, with large tables for two and seats that were too big to fit under them, making it difficult to hear across the table.

Beautiful food and very friendly service. We especially enjoyed the salmon sake sashimi.

Have come here before and came today with my mum and sister. Weren’t any tables available today as we hadn’t pre-booked, but we were given a place at the bar. Jane in particular was a lovely server, took care of us throughout and provided immaculate service. Always a good experience at Sticks!

We visited impromptu to celebrate a birthday. Seated straight away, our orders were taken promptly and the starters arrived in no time. The mains shortly followed. We absolutely love Sticks'n'Sushi but what made this visit extra special was the great customer service received by our waiter Kacper K. It really was the icing on the cake - so thank you!

TERRIBLE - how can there be such a deterioration?! We ordered for 103£, the sashimi didn't get delivered... there was only a tiny bit of ginger and wasabi... we couldn't get hold of the restaurant (we tried 5 times)... we asked for a call back, one hour later there's nothing... goodness, we don't understand this climbdown...??! We're regular's...

Being regular guests at other locations, this was our first time at the Wimbledon location. After booking and arriving, we were a little shocked to find that we were seating on the same table as other guests. So one of us had to be seated opposite a guest from another party. Then to top it off, 2 of us got food poisoning the next morning. We did eat a few raw seafood but expect it to be fresh. A bit disappointed by this experience as other branches we've eaten at were all really good.

Super delicious Japanese food! The staff are very friendly. We got there less than an hour before they closed and they didn’t stop us from having dinner there which was nice. This place is on the pricy side. You can find parking on one of the side streets. Very cozy atmosphere.

Lovely place that needs a reservation during peak times. Kids menu and children sticks are available. They have a fantastic variety of menu for two people, as well as salads. It’s not all just fish, you can get sticks with pork belly, chicken, beef and vegan options too. A must try is the broccoli! We basically come all the way just for it. There is no parking, but it is close to Wimbledon train station and a few buses stop in front of the restaurant.

This is my partners and I favourite restaurant of all times, we have been to all of them across London and it’s always a great experience, great food and great atmosphere. Last night we went to the Wimbledon branch and were served by Blanca, and I have to say she was AMAZING. Very genuine, amazing customer service, very attentive and friendly, she was on top of everything from start to finish. Shout out to Blanca! Thank you.

Me and my family went out for dinner yesterday and we had such an amazing experience! Considering it was a double birthday (mine and my dad’s) I never expected to be treated this well. Not our first time and all our past experiences are 10/10 but last night Joe, our waiter, went above and beyond! His super professional attitude( polite, funny, also checking on us) made the experience a rating of 20/10. (And he mentioned that he is also new?! Incredible) Thank you very much for the lovely food, super chill atmosphere and to the star of the night, Joe! Hopefully we will get served by you again in the near future

Food was average, nothing to shout about - service, sadly was atrocious as the waiter brought us 2 wine glasses that looked they like pre used ones found in pub the morning after - and this happened twice. There is no excuse for this sort of service. Lastly music was just too loud. I'm never one to leave comments or reviews but this was completely unacceptable.
