Never open. Tried to go a three times in the evenings over the last 2 weeks and it's closed.

A few years ago this place was great I went about six months ago the food was not up to the standard of the past.We didn't enjoy our meal.Has there been a change of ownership?

Looking forward to new menu at some point ,Hoagies,fried black puddings, & fish specials ie cod in breadcrumbs well worth drive from cv2 ,thanks

Love this shop. Staff are always polite and very helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. Lots of daily specials. Never go anywhere else. Highly recommend!.

I was driving home from work and needed to stop and get food. I was starving, and what better than to grab a chip butty, to satisfy my hunger and carb craving. However, I should have followed my instinct and drove past this place instead of stopping and ordering. My experience included the following: 1. Ladies working behind the counter have long false nails, and do not wear gloves when preparing the order. It gave me anxiety just thinking about the amount of germs stuck beneath those grim nails now touching my batch. 2. I get home to stuff my face as I'm starving and find the batch has mould on it. Green mould. 3. The chips were stale. I felt like crying and wanted my £4 back. Sad experience and I will never go in again. The only positve was the staff were friendly.

I got a medium chips, sausage and mushy peas to share between two and that with a couple of batches was just right. I looked at the medium chips and thought it wouldn’t be enough but it turned out more would have been unnecessary. Downsides is that most of the salt and vinegar was on the sausage and not the chips so the sausage had to be wiped off and salt added to the chips at home and that there was only a tiny amount of spread on the batches and then only one side. I would go again as their fish looked nice and I’ll give that a try. The service was rapid and served with a smile and the atmosphere was boiling but it was just as hot outside. Stumbled upon this gem whilst visiting Berkswell for a event from Milton Keynes. Service was speedy and our meal was delishious and cooked to perfection! Even got to try the shop's unique chip topping! Best one I've tasted yet! Do yourself a favour and make sure you try it!

Went there for a change never got my order right when I got home 5 min away the mixed kebab meat was cold had to put in microwave and really I would not give it a 1 will not be going there again

This is the second time using this chippy, having been recommended to us. We find the mini fish and chips a good portion and very well cooked. The staff are very friendly and infact remembered me, very good valve for money

Ordered a small fish and chips for lunch. Was served by two lovely men, that were kind and welcoming….. and gave a really generous portion of chips.

I'm quite dissatisfied with the customer services I received on Tuesday, October 31, 2023. I ordered two large fish, and generally on Tuesdays they have a deal with free chips, however I had to pay for the chips. When I inquired, I was told that the deal was only for haddock and not cod, despite the fact that the menu plainly states Tuesday Large Fish & Free Chips £7.50. Why don't you put that on the menu? The woman with short red hair was unfriendly and rude. Unfortunately, you have lost me as a customer.

If you are looking for a business with a sense of community then this is the chippy for you. Its really nice food and hasnt dropped in quality since being taken over. The people are lovely, its clean and spacious and the prices are as normal. If ypu want my advice GO HERE!!

Curry and chips in a tray ! Really , chips barely covered bottom of the tray Curry sauce very watery and small tub £4.40 had to make a sandwich after eating this . Never again what a ripoff

I recently ordered from Station Plaice Fish Bar and was disappointed with my experience. I paid over £20 for a large fish, burger and chips, but the fish was hardly a medium let alone a large, and the burger barely had a patty inside. I found the pricing to be overpriced and a rip off. While I appreciate the effort of the establishment to provide good service and quality food, my experience fell short of my expectations. I believe that the size of the food did not match the price, and it was not a good value for the amount I paid. I was hoping for a more satisfying meal and left feeling disappointed and dissatisfied I hope that the establishment takes this feedback seriously and takes appropriate steps to improve the quality of their food and service. While I do not intend to discourage anyone from visiting Station Plaice Fish Bar, I do recommend that they carefully review the pricing and portion sizes before placing an order. To conclude, I cannot recommend Station Plaice Fish Bar based on my recent experience. I hope that my feedback will be helpful in improving the overall quality of the establishment and that they take steps to ensure that their customers receive good value for their money

Best chippy in Coventry, Staff are amazing and the owners are extremely friendly, they know my order before I order! They’ve definitely modernised the shop since the take over in December; very reasonable and very tasty, food is alway fresh aswell!

Since the new ownership it was been amazing. Great laugh when in there with the customers and fresh food to order.

While the place does look a bit run down everything was clean and you could tell it was well looked after. It has recently been taken over and the guys in there were really friendly, great for a chat and if this is your local you would build a relationship quickly. Food was great, chips were fresh and even though they didn't have any grated cheese they were accommodating and put some cheese slices on instead 😂 Will definitely be going regularly.

Great fish & chips and kebab meat & chips. This is one of those shops that I travel out of my way to get to because the food and service is so good. Fish is fresh with crispy non greasy batter. Kebab meat is soft and well flavoured. The chips are crisp and fluffy.

Bought bag of chips might as well of drank the oil out of fryer ate 3 chips felt sick .absolutely disgusting 🤢

WOW!!! I must have been to this place over 100 times. The once when I can't get out due to illness, I've got £12.60 in cash. All I want is fish and chips and I was willing to give them the whole £12.60. They then tell me that there is a minimum £10 charge plus a £3 delivery charge and even though I was willing to overpay for the fish and chips, because I was 40p short of their minimum charge plus delivery they weren't willing to do it. NEVER EVER AGAIN!!! I'm off to Bannerbrook. BYE!!!!

Good parking easy to find, however the lady at front of house serving during the lunch time hour, was not very welcoming to say the least! Very bad attitude. 👎 not very customer friendly. There is a seating area in which you can dine in for free however not made to feel welcome to do so. Food served average. And over priced.

We usually enjoy this place, but last night I bought two large cod. Both were fried to death, less than half the mass was fish, and the fish that was there was dry and over cooked. Inedible. So it cost me £20 for two large rock hard pieces of overcooked batter with a small dry bit of what was once fish inside. Chips were OK.

I ordered food in the shop and by mistake gave £20 extra which I realised when I came back as I checked money left as I didnt go anywhere other than fish and chip shop. So I called as soon as I realised and the man agreed that he will give me £20 that I paid extra and he forgot to give me back and when I went to the shop he refused that he wont pay anything back as his boss dont want him to sort this issue. At the till how can they accept extra money?? This is not a good deed. To make extra money like this. Greedy and they dont accept card ofcourse thus is the reason why they dont accept card because they cant cheat with the money if they start accepting card payments people pay exact amount and at the till they cant cheat like this with people s hard earned money. Be careful with money with what you pay.

Certainly the worst large cod I’ve ever had in my life very dry and tastes like skin had to bin most of it. The chips are as expected. Very disappointed with my order.

Top quality! Wide, wide range of sides - curry sauce is bangin! Fish is large portions and it ain't greasy like. Cash on collection, but well worth the trip out even in the worst weather! Highly recommended!

Just ordered from here today. I usually use this chip shop but never had a delivery before so was apprehensive as to whether the food would be cold or dry like I’ve heard about other chip shops that deliver. The food was amazing as usual. Piping hot, delicious! The kids meal had 2 sausages instead of the usual one and they chucked in some sweets for the kids too. Delivered bang on time. One happy customer here 😊

I live local to this chippie and have been a customer for many years but im sorry to say i will not be using it again. Its not the quality of their chips but the COST at £1.80 a small portion its taking the ****. I have just been to popeyes in jardine crescent and for a larger portion its £1.40. Come on station ave sort your prices out

Great choice, reasonable pricing, great food

Started using here about 3 months ago. First few times we went in, couldn't fault them. Portion, quality and taste of large mixed meat and chips was spot on. Price wasn't bad either as we travel from just outside the city as our local chippy is a rip off. However the last few weeks all three of the above have gone down. Tonight's food looked like a half portion, with quite literally 2 slithers of donner meat and the dregs of the chicken. The chips weren't as tasty or decent size portion. Think you need guys need to stick to what you know as I think the introduction of deliveries has affected your quality. Gone from genuinely great to inconsistant.

Staff are friendly and pleasant. Portions are large and food is cooked fresh and is very tasty. Portions make it great value for money. The only downside being that the card machine wasn't working.

15/11/18 It was my daughter and my mini date night, and she wanted chips, battered sausage and curry sauce, and I had chicken meat and chips - horrendous! We had to throw them away as the chips were old and tasted of fish, the chicken meat was hard, and the sausage - let's not even go there! Really disappointed because we were looking forward to a naughty meal. Won't be going there again. Not good
