Starbucks Livingston Drive Thru in West Lothian

I've had incredibly mixed experiences at this location. Some absolutely stellar, and some pretty bad. I haven’t posted any reviews yet because the good and bad usually balance out, it really depends on the staff and the day. However today, not only one thing went wrong, almost everything did. For starters, there was only a short line at the drive-thru, which is usually good, except despite there only being 3 cars in front of me, the wait still creeped up to 15 minutes. Parking lot wasn’t full, the inside was quiet, so while I’m understanding of wait times whilst it’s busy, this was ridiculous. After paying £5 for a coffee, you skimmed off the top few inches, not filling the cup. Very disappointing, and didn’t help that it tastes like burnt coffee. When you charge as much as you do for a drink, I think it’s appalling to rip off your customers by not putting the right amount or making it correctly. Despite the line building up behind me at the drive-thru, staff were standing around and not working (which given the wait time, didn’t seem right) . The only person who appeared to be working was the woman at the drive-thru window. She appeared to be both taking the orders and working the window, seemed frazzled (either new or just juggling too much), and was receiving no help from the other staff who didn’t appear overly busy. She was brilliant (Working drive-thru roughly around April 2nd, 9:00-10:00), albeit struggling, and the only saving grace for the visit.

The opening hours are wrong. They are not ope until 7 am on Saturday!

Use this one frequently, good service and I like the atmosphere etc. Just a pity there are no cycle stands at all, know it’s a drive through but lots of us cyclists would appreciate being able to lock expensive bikes up. Just a thought 🚲🚲

went 30 minutes before close, this blonde girl made my order wrong twice, i felt too bad to correct the final order after she got it wrong again, she also had an attitude whilst serving us and after she messed up the order

Took over an hour for a drink and a cake thing, at 8 o’clock i don’t think it’s that busy also having to pay extra for cream on the drink and then not getting it wouldn’t order again

Latte was hot and tasted great as usual.

My coffee was half full when I got it which is appalling. I have picture proof of this as well absolute joke.

A lovely barista this morning. Didn’t catch his name but tall guy with bleach blonde hair. He was so so kind. Another customer had picked up a food item from my order thinking it was theirs. He was so sweet, apologised and gave me a free cake pop for the wait. Amazing customer service and such a kind guy! He’s definitely a credit to the team! Loved my coffee as always ☕️🫶🏼

Rosanne at this Starbucks is outstanding! She always greets customers with genuine warmth, remembers my usual order, and makes each visit great . Her positive attitude and attention to detail truly set this location apart. Highly recommend stopping by to see Rosanne’s stellar service!

It was melted both myself and my friends drinks, no straws to come with and took to long

This is a overall horrible place to dine I had a horrible experience with ordering The worker was so crabbit and was being so rude by telling be to hurry up and she called me a weirdo but then she passed my croissant to me and when I took it out the bag there was a spider so I complained and she said I was being delusional then thru my drink at my car that she hadn’t given me yet it took so long they were rude and they scratched my car I’m disgusted

Asked for my Extra Dry cappuccino which it wasn’t !! there’s nothing worse when you ask for cappuccino! and you receive a latte 🤬or cappuccino with to much milk ? But the young lady quickly corrected order for me and it was just perfect thank you to the Barista 🎉 🌟✨

Drinks were extremely melted and looked as if they had been sat out for a while. Extremely dissapointed as this was ordered as a birthday treat. Not happy at all with the drinks. As well as that the croissant was cold.

Delivered very late. Toastie was cold by the time it got here and drinks were melted.

Ordered a pumpkin frap but got sent a hot pumpkin drink instead . Other drink was really good, well they were both really good but one of them was wrong

Staff standing about chatting to their friends. Plenty of other coffee places to go in Livingston, ended up leaving and going elsewhere. Next has a Costa where customer service is better.

The poor staff are absolutely run off their feet. It's lunchtime on a Saturday and there just isn't enough of them to cover all of the jobs. Tables haven't been cleared, floors aren't cleaned and the queue is still out the door and the drive through is full.

Clean, quick service. Too expensive, but what Starbucks isn’t. Got my favourite peach green tea lemonade here (which is my regular order) no problem. I tried one of the new açai drinks but it was a lot more expensive than my regular drink and made me feel a bit sick, I wouldn’t buy again. They actually allow dogs in here, which I love, but some people might want to be aware incase they are allergic or aren’t keen on dogs. I’ve seen dogs jump on the counter so defo be aware if you are allergic. The doors are quite heavy so you’d need help to get in, but it’s otherwise fully wheelchair accessible. You don’t need a code to use the toilet here, and they are clean. There are a few tables outside to sit on but only enough for 4/5 people. This is fine though, it’s not exactly a scenic area, it’s in a business park beside a car charging station and a carvery pub. Good parking here for anyone who drives. There is a Starbucks bin outside which was smelly and overflowing, which needs to be attended to more often. This Starbucks is also a drive thru, so be aware the staff are often rushing around and don’t have time to make small talk. Overall, 4****

We haven't used Starbucks before. My wife is autistic and had no idea what flavours Starbucks do. Unfortunately the menu is right at the microphone. She never got a chance to read it before she was hurried into making a decision. When she asked what options she had the staff member rattled through them so quickly that no one understood him. Not very good.

Yes Its ok, Its the busiest starbucks by far in the area so you can guarantee 9/10 there will be queues.

Stroppy staff as soon as you want anything slightly different such as additional water to cool your coffee.

nae straw, the cup was places sideways so it literally was LEAKING.

Rood customer service lady at the window was extremely rood named vivian I think almost dropped our food handing it to us out the window along with ignoring us when asking for napkins and straws.

Went in half an hour before closing. Four women were working. All the tables and chairs were up they cleared out the pastry cabinet and were working on the fridge. My sister and I came in to grab a sandwich for dinner and patiently waited for one of them to allow us to grab something to eat. We then waited a ridiculous amount of time to check out because the four of them were so busy doing their close out tasks…. So I guess I wouldn’t go a half hour before closing because it’s already closed. Additionally my sisters coffee was so full of ice she couldn’t even mix it. Would not recommend.

Drive through slow takes ages to place order can only take 2 orders at a time even though 4 cars can get past tannoy

Just spent £6-50 on a large iced mango and dragonfly iced drink with lemonade. Never tasted anything so revolting. Clawingly sweet acetic acid with no mango fruit flavour. Like a 50p mystery flavoured water drink with dried fruit bits and ice. Rip off and to be avoided at all costs! Stick to coffee 😒

I order a vanilla latte and the vanilla syrup is missing.

Arrived exceptionally fast and was tasty, the cake pop arrived a tad crushed and there wasn't a straw but apart from that it was a scran ❤️ would order again

Popped in today for a quick coffee. Manager Sarah really brightened our day, her fun and enthusiastic persona represents the best customer service Starbucks has to offer.

My cup was only just over half filled up and no caramel drizzle or whipped cream on top. Which you have to pay extra for. Seeming to be becoming a habit of forgetting add ons at our expense!

I ordered my coffee at 15.56pm and then ordered a burger King at 16.06pm my burger King order came at 16.58pm and my coffee from Starbucks came at 17.42pm so very unhappy with burger King is only a couple of minutes away from Starbucks won't be ordering again

Arrived 35minutes after expected arrival time with the Toastie arriving cold and Frappe arriving completely melted.

Delivered it but it would be helpful if phoned because I was waiting on the other side. Had a tip for the driver in cash so just wish there was more communication. Overall really good thanks

Had the most amazing service from Starbucks drive through in Livingston on Thursday evening. Placed my order drove to the next window to pay and met the nicest person. He was smiling and pleasant, chatting about the drive through and as the order was going to take a wee while he suggested I pull into the layby and he later delivered the order to me. Aiden you are an absolute asset to Starbucks. You made my night. Thank you.

Again starvucks cant follow instructions. How do you expect people to drink a frappe with no straw. And yet again no coffee in the drink!

Caramel syrup missing from one of the drinks

Delivery driver was very rude. Telling me I had cost him money as HE could not find the address and that I should tip him! No tip will be given for that attitude!

It’s usually a nice relaxing place to get a coffee, where you don’t need to worry about parking. Previously I’d have given it 4 stars based on the fact I could take in my very well behaved dog. They were very pet friendly in the past but after some complaints it seems not so much anymore. Kids can do what ever they like though! So if you want to save a soft play just take them to Starbucks. This was the only place in Livingston you could go for a coffee and take your dog. EDIT: They now allow dogs again! Adjusted score 🙏

The drive through was so busy so I parked and went in. Served really quickly by really friendly staff. Although the shop had quite a few people in I still got my order really quickly.

My boyfriend ordered me an iced matcha latte to come home to after work. But when it came it was a Forrest green colour and super thick. I have literally no idea how or why someone would make it like that and decide to send it, but idk to each their own.

This review is based on the Too Good to Go surprise bag. WASTE OF MONEY! Although the description gives a wide variety of items you only get what's going out on the day. I got 1 Panini, 1sandwich and 1 roll albeit there was a tray full of unwrapped cakes and sweet treats on the counter when I went in to collect my bag. Who wants to eat 3 sandwich/bread items at 10pm at night!! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

Ordered two coffees. One with dairy. One with almond milk. No labels on the cups to differentiate between the two. Not best practice for customers that have allergies. Server was miserable. Coffee was freezing. First time Iv had poor service in this particular drive thru

I only use the drive-through, which can be busy. That's just a testament to the options available.

We have sat in today an after we got our order we were informed that there was no proper cups available as they were all out with customers...we counted the customers with real cups an there was exactly 10...I really think a place this size would have more than 10 cups ...on the plus side the coffee was lovely even if it was out a paper cup 😢

Ordered 2 hot drinks and 2 cakes to sit in .both cakes were both put in same bag and not on plates and coffees were put in paper cup and I ask for proper cup and was told all cup were being used and I counted only 10 customers with proper cups .absolutely shocking service to receive after paying over £13 only to have to sit in and drink from paper cup .the management team should be ashamed to be run a Starbucks of this size with only 10 cups in use.i personally think it was to save on staff duties in sorting cups to be washed .totally disappointed in the hole experience

Lovely friendly place. Coffee as good as expected and the food was good also. Nice atmosphere and plenty of parking. Toilets clean and enough of them.
