Starbucks in West Dunbartonshire

Literally the worst Starbucks I’ve ever experienced. It’s never open even if it says it is, they always close early, and the staff have serious attitude problems.

No Flat White Cups Asked for a flat white and Was given a small latte asked them to change it and got the same back A small latte!!! Binned it Staff training needed !

Visited this place previously & liked the service & atmosphere however on this visit although the staff were pleasant I was disappointed to find that dishes were not being cleared from tables. So no wiping of tables & we had to move cups from our table. Disappointed that tables still not being cleared.

The most disgusting Starbucks I've seen, cigarettes and rubbish surround the entrance and outside seating area.

Place was empty and still had to wait 15 mins for a coffee to go.

The place sucks. NEVER has oat milk. NEVER opens on time. Especially Sundays. Staff can’t hear milk correctly, coffee tastes like doo-doo because it’s burnt, along with their barista skills. Terrible experience.

Good place to drink a coffee on your way to Loch Lomond

£100 parking fine for being there more than 90 mins. Had no idea of any restrictions on parking. Was not aware of any warning sign. My blue badge was on display (i am disabled) but nobody told me about registering your registration on a machine in the coffee shop. Why did Costa staff not advise me of this? It was a very expensive coffee and cake… I will not be back!!

One of the better outlets for hot/cold beverages and my preferred location for coffee as they have several fully trained Barista's👍🏻👌🏻

Absolute dump and disgrace. We've lived in Washington, Portland Oregon and Raleigh North Carolina so experienced a lot of Starbucks coffee shops. This hands down is the worst we've experienced. Between the entry/exit into the lot, parking, service, quality of food/drinks, and overall state of the facility it was a disgraceful business and not enjoyable at all.

Cold, miserable box that issues quite nice coffee at a premium price.

Today Starbucks were giving away a free cup with an iced grande drink with the rewards app. I forgot to scan my app and when I asked why I didn’t receive the cup I was advised by the employee I didn’t scan my app. I said I forgot and was answered with ‘sorry’. At no point did they offer to refund and put through again or ask me when ordering if I had the app. Poor customer service in my opinion. Didn’t catch the girls name but I was served at 9.38am. On Thursday 18th April

Too expensive but coffee's lovely.

Total shambles. Both Starbucks and costa coffee now have a parking fine company running their car par. I haven't been for a sit in coffee for ages so didn't even give it a second though when me and a friend stayed for just over an hour and a half, drinking coffee and catching up. Just got a fine through the door for staying over the 90 minutes. Apparently you need to enter your reg number into a machine at the till to extend your stay. I wasn't aware of this and no one at the till mentioned it. Complete scam so just watch yourself if you are having an overdue catch up with family/friends/business meeting.

Not open early enough and far too expensive. 1 mile up the road I can get a breakfast roll, coffee and change for the price of a large latte!

It's Statbucks. What can I say, they do coffee.

Coffee really weak, not the best would’ve preferred an instant coffee from the house. Just really a highway coffee shop, hard seats, no cups all disposable stuff And pricy!

We broke down at the motorway services Dumbarton, with a considerably long journey to be transfered home by AA . We sat in the a Starbucks there charging phones for contact with breakdown agencies. The staff were most kind letting us sit in there untill they closed , leaving us less time to sit in a cold vehicle. Thank you so much, Starbucks your staff were amazing.

The coffee could have been better. Staff seemed to be looking forward to the end of their shift rather than anything else.

OK, apart from the very slow service. Also, watch out for the very angry, bald, Sense Scotland van driver who blasted his horn and howled abuse at me for slowing down to turn off the dual carriageway into the car park.

Both Starbucks locations in Dumbarton are never open in the mornings. I’ve been to both locations multiple times at 7am on a Monday to either be told by a team member they won’t be able to open for another half hour or pulled in to the drive through to see all the lights off and no one there. Update your hours of operation if you can’t open at 7am

Met up with a friend for a chat. The location of the Starbucks cafe being convenient for both of us and easy to travel to just outside of Dumbarton on the A82. We had coffee but we did not have anything to eat. The coffees were promptly made by the friendly, efficient staff and the drinks were fine. The surroundings are good with comfortable seating. There was plenty of available seats and although it was a busy outlet we did not feel crowded.

Great place just off main road.

Brilliant stop off for great coffees and hit snacks. Ellie and Megan looked after us very well.

Had a tea and bacon roll, roll semi toasted hadn't turn brown and bacon a bit rubbery.

Lovely staff but BEWARE we stayed 1hour 50 minutes and I have a £100 parking charge.Did not see any signs .Didnt even occur to me they wouldn't want customers

need to improve on Fruit drinks, specially the Strawberry & Mango Dragon Lemonade. The fruits were not crushed mixed properly.

Met a friend for a catch up at Starbucks, Lomondgate, Dumbarton. Have used this car park over a number of years as live in the neighbourhood. Was not advised by any member of staff that there was a machine on the premises that you could put your number plate in and you would get extra time. Machine is not very visible. I visited after 7 pm so Starbucks was very empty as was the car park. Even when we went to the counter for more drinks and cake staff members never mentioned time limit. As there is no other option for people visiting the premises to use any other car park the parking company is making a lot of money. After receiving a £60 fine i asked the staff about the machine and they did not seem to know how much longer you got if you put your number plate in and said that the machine did not always work and even if it was working people were still getting fines.

Although set in a weird plot, it has a drive-thru and the staff are super friendly and accommodating. Great Starbucks here in Milton. Only downside is getting onto the main road, or pulling into Starbucks since there is a center divider on the main road.

We had a great experience with our service and enjoyed eating a meal with two small children and had multiple coffees while feeding children. However when we returned home a few days later we found a bill for £100 because we stayed for more than 90 min. Starbucks needs to use its power to advocate for it's customers against outragous parking fees.

Paid over £5 for a frappucino. This place usually puts too much ice so this time I asked for a little bit and it came so bland was like drinking milky frothy water, would hate to think what it would taste like with the normal amount of ice they'd usually put in.

I "WAS" a regular customer who resides in the same neighbourhood where Starbucks is. Lomondgate Starbucks WAS our meeting place for our catch-up but it came to an end since I was charged £100 parking fine due to not entering the plate number into their parking device that was "concealed" and "disconnected". Not to mention that your staff altitude is not pleasant, not a single day they welcomed us, they were absolutely disengaged with us and utmost helplessness with customers. I raised my concern to customer service (case number CS0004736) however not a call received from Area Manager, that was the final straw since then we are boycotting Starbucks, and I have already raised awareness in our community to not go to Starbucks also never use their carpark. To be more specific, on 28.03.2023 at 8.00 pm, whilst we were ordering our drinks at the checkout, I sought advice from the lady who was in charge hoping that she could rectify the parking fine. I articulated my concerns and said we never charged for parking. I was told that I had to enter my plate number on the screen that device was conceded and the screen was dimmed/disconnected, also the device is absolutely not easy to spot within the store plus it does not bear any sign about its purpose, furthermore, it seems a part checkout unit and not functioning as it was deliberately switched off. Nevertheless, the staff turned the device on and allowed me to enter the plate number, following, that I saw the confirmation of parking notice until 29.03.2023 / 00:00. As you can correlate that customers can park the vehicle for a longer period of time than 90 mins. Not to mention that If I would have stayed over next door (Malt & Myre Brewers Fayre or Premier Inn or Costa Coffee), I would use the same car park and I would have never been charged. Clearly, that incident was the last straw and I will make speak up everywhere to make aware our community at Lomond Gate about the plot Starbucks set up along with other private parking company that they rip off their customers in every possible way.

Coffee was fine,only gripe was being asked if I wanted milk with my Americano. The millionaires shortcake was a wee bit too sweet for me, however the roll in sausage was tasty.

Over £4 for a bacon roll - no butter and two rubbish rubbery bits of bacon. No care at all and absolutely not worth the money.! 🤢

It's your luck which Starbucks you choose. This one charges more for a coffee and a bun than other outlets I've frequented. About £0.80 more for the same two items I always get elsewhere. Both were no different. I don't get it or won't ever again.

Life saver at the road to Portree

Only Starbucks I've ever been to that is not dog friendly. The seats are few and not comfortable like other starbucks. Staff were friendly and apologetic that it's not like an ordinary Starbucks because it's a franchise. Not sure who owns it but there is a Costa (cheaper and better coffee) a mile or so down the road and another Starbucks in the other direction that is not a franchise and so does allow dogs Otherwise it's a Starbucks like any other. Overpriced mediocre coffee. The parking is not great and there were alot of vans etc in the carpark that made it difficult to get a space because they don't have many. Some cars were coming through Arnold Clark next door others from the garage on the other side so for the limited spaces they have very busy.

Coffee was mediocre at best. The disabled toilet, and every other toilet in fact, was wet, filthy and had no toilet roll apart from a complete wet roll that had been stuffed in the toilet. Very disappointed at the total lack of cleanliness.

Fantastic experience - after another Starbucks mixed up my order, I went here to order another drink. Kirsty was incredibly helpful by making another coffee quickly and refusing to let me pay for it! Five stars.

Do not go here and expect stellar service. It seems you should just be happy with what you get. I asked if I could add a couple tea bags to a drink I was willing to pay for but they wanted to charge me an extra 14 gbp. I mean? Cmon. Its especially hard when you work for the company and you know they are add tea bag buttons on the register for customers. It's the lack of hospitality that really is hard to understand.

Sullen staff that didn't want to be there, don't think I'll be back, coffee was good though.

The barista that served me totally knew what she was doing. Annoying it's not a drive through but honestly after her recommendation I've been ordering the same way at every Starbucks. Every drive through is different and never get it quite rite but this girl made our Fraps amazing. Well worth having to walk in 👍

Was supposed to open at 8am - waited outside for 15 minutes in the freezing cold waiting to get in and ignored by staff. No idea when it actually opens and bad to leave.

Just after 9am I ordered a medium tea. What I was given was a cup of murky milky hot liquid. Floating around in there somewhere was a teabag. I took this concoction to the prep area, where armed with a wooed stick, I attempted to transform this witches potion into a cup of tea. I spun the teabag, I dipped it in and out, I prodded it, poked it, I even squeezed the burning hot thing in an attempt to get my drink to even resemble a cup of tea. It wasn't to be, It still looked like I’d washed my sport socks in it, and when I tasted it…..well I thought someone actually had.It was disgusting. No way could I finish this £2.75 cup of dishwater. I took it to the counter to complain. “I can’t drink this, It’s disgusting” I told the female server, expecting an exchange or a refund…..” na its no the the best” she replied implying that a company that specialise in hot drinks, don't rate their own hot drinks! I left, and I wont be back. Hugh Osborne

At Starbucks now- Stopped for cycle break Needed seat by window to keep eye on bikes All tables but not all seats taken fellow customers offered vacant seats for use I went to take one and move to empty table only to be screamed at by staff member at the top of her voice and very aggressively. Not isolated incident- only minutes later another fellow customer also needed a seat and was similarly humiliated and embarrassed by staff shouting at her across restaurant. I understand staff are under pressure in these difficult times but there is simply no excuse for denigrating your own clientele. Merry Christmas to you too Starbucks.

Computer was down so no food or drink being served but the member of staff was absolutely brilliant. Apologetic and gave me a free tea - super efficient when the computers came back up too.

It was quite quiet and cold ,I was expecting one of the two Staff to bring it over as it was quiet instead of shouting ,one of the staff looked bored and disinterested the first coffee was large looked like a pint and even with 3 shots was too mild, second one was medium again with 3 shots was better the cake/ snack cabinet was sparse ,Will not be back

The drive thru is unbelievably slow! The first time I went I had told my friend I was going on the way to meet them and they told me that when she had visited before they were very slow. I was The only person in the drive thru and it still took over 10 minutes for 1 drink. I visited twice after thinking maybe it was just a bad day and the first time I went back the line was so long I just left chalking it down to just being 9:30 in the morning so there would be a lot of people getting coffee but the second time was around 11am so not a busy time at all but there were around 4 cars sitting in the drive thru so I parked up and decided just to go into the shop only to find that they had locked the door so you could not enter to get a coffee and could only use the drive thru, which made absolutely no sense to me. I then joined the drive thru as there were now only 3 cars in it but ended up leaving yet again as I waited another 10 minutes before the car at the speaker was even served. Absolutely terrible service, I wish the Costa across the road was still open as they had way better service and you actually got your coffee within a reasonable time. I’m all for giving the benefit of the doubt when they are busy but this was not busy 2 out of the 3 times I have visited and the service was still majorly slow.

Go to the garage next door and get a Costa

Good selection of snacks and drinks

Very spacious and clean - great selection of teas and the staff helpful and pleasant however, the acoustics are shocking and it's a cacophony. I'm not sure how they'd easily improve this.

Decent enough but my one criticism, genuinely the worst Internet connection I've had since the days of dial up.

Scruffy, tables left cluttered and as usual overpriced food.

Epic cappuccino foaming, nothing worse than when you order a cappuccino and its basically a pint of milk with some coffee in it. Please let us order nut blend milk via the app though.

Ordered Flat White and Grande Capuccino with Oat milk, unsweetened. What arrived was a sugared foam, without coffee, none. Tasted like cardboard, with the texture of saliva. I am keeping the leftovers and asking a scientist friend to determine what exactly was in each cup.
