Admittedly we’d had a few drinks but the staff tried to say we hadn’t paid despite our bank statements proving we had. They then said we needed to pay again. We said we’ll pay on card again and do a charge back on our card if there’s a double payment. Suddenly the card machine was broken and we needed to pay cash. We walked out without paying twice. Vile.

Haben spätabends nach unserer Ankunft in London noch etwas zu Essen in der Nähe unserers Hotels gesucht und sind dann quasi übers Star Kebab House gestolpert. Riesen Auswahl, nette Leute und für nen Imbiss super leckeres Curry.

This place is disgusting from inside and outside. My husband wanted kebab food, so i went over to this one because it is closest one from my home. I walk in, saw the condition of the place, saw the condition of food they serving, food procedures were extremely poor, the guy behind counter had long messy hair cover in grease and wearing dirty shirt. I turn around and left as i was afraid to get food from there.

Been coming here over 30 years, got a takeaway and got overcharged(not by much but it’s the principle!) When I got home and called up, the “manager” wasn’t interested in what I was saying, more interested to tell me the price is what it is kind of attitude, no hint of an apology for the mix up or the fact I was disappointed. Not what you would call good customer service!! Won’t be going there again which is a shame, all he had to do was apologise!!

Nous sommes entrés un peu par hasard dans ce restaurant et nous ne regrettons rien! Large choix de saveur, les currys sont excellents et le personnel est très agréable, faisant même des efforts pour nous parler en français. Le prix est tout à fait correct, ce fut un des meilleurs repas que nous avons mangé à Londres malgré le prix peu excessif.

We started on our dinner spot search late and had a couple of disappointments with restaurants closing their kitchens 1/2 hour or more before the actual closing time. That’s okay cause that is how we discovered Star Kebab! We found out they’ve been here/open since the 70s. Okay, that works for me. We were greeted by the friendly servers behind the counter & were offered tastings of the different types of curry. As this was our first visit, they recommended that we try the Lamb Doner with Naan. Excellent-Tasty and a generous portion. Based on the samples, we ordered a 1/2 lamb and chicken curry with rice for sharing. Some of the best curry I’ve ever had! The restaurant itself is quite simple and has a fast food feel but it isn’t all fast food. They are open late. Would highly recommended based on their Kebabs, Curries & service!

I gave Star Kebab 2 chances to impress me but both times I was left pretty disappointed. I believe that the restaurant has incredible potential as their curries and other proctors look incredible. What they do wrong in my opinion is that they microwave everything you buy and this just destroys the flavor and quality of their products. Overall if you are in search of a decent meal for an affordable price Star Kebab is for you, but be warned the food might be a bit dry and stale because of microwave. Another area of improvement I hope the restaurant takes into consideration is the importance of customer service. During both of my visit the staff did not smile once, were not particularly nice and most importantly rushed me into making a decision almost like they were in a rush to serve me. They have a very large menu and I was curious to try something new but the staff was very insisting and dint let me take my time.

My husband and I were looking for something quick to eat before heading off to the airport but a pre-packaged sandwich held no appeal. Instead, we ducked into this little place on the corner and were delighted at our luck! The food smelled wonderful and there were so many choices. The service was friendly and efficient. The portions were massive, the prices very reasonable, and the food was delicious. Can’t wait to come back so we can eat there again!

Got to our hotel around 11:30 on a Wednesday, was after midnight when we ventured out for food. There was very little open except for this place, so we decided to check it out. Ended up being a very tasty meal! I got chicken tikka masala, which was a lot more flavorful than what’s typically available in the states. Boyfriend also really enjoyed his lamb doner on naan. Also a special shout out to the service. I had a lot of leftovers (was still full from plane food) and the counter guy packed it up nicely for me including an extra scoop of sauce. Also seems like this would be a great place to go after the pub, as they were very patient with the people in front of us who had clearly had a few 😹.

Just wish when ordering you would get some incentive to order more like free nan etc! Get nothing free and might be cheaper to go elsewhere. But food is very good and lots of choices

Visited here on a Saturday night and ordered some kebab meat, a naan bread, and some other snacks like bhaji’s & pakoras. All of the food was super dry, even with the sauce, you need a couple of glasses of water to consume. I would avoid any of the dried foods/kebabs. In fairness, we didn’t try any curry so can’t comment on that. Would never return - especially considering the prices. Go home and order something else online.

Visited specifically for a lamb doner kebab, since I no longer live in the UK I have been unable to have one. Found this place on google. Seemed clean with a small seating area (barstools and a small counter). There seemed to be more curries and indian food on offer than kebabs, but they had a fairly extensive menu so I was not disappointed. Doner meat was slightly spicy and chips were cooked fresh. I was served immediately.

Went late night well 11 pm walked about 50 yards and put in nearest bin utter rubbish avoid expensive rubbish 👎🤮

The kinda food you would eat almost every day. I did, when I lived in the area!.. This place is known and truly loved by locals like myself and it's never failed to excel in the quality of food they serve to us for as long as I've been eating there since about 2013. Highly recommend!

This is the place to come for late night cheap and filling curries. Open until 2am! Kings has been around forever, and I can remember eating here the very first time I visiited London in 1995 and have been coming back ever since. Rice with cuury for around 6-7 pounds. Also lamb burgers. Kebabs in the 5-6 pound range. Ideally located in the center of Earls Court. Mainly food for take out, but there's a small sitting area inside. Recommended for quick eats.

We stumbled across Star Kebab house on the way back to the hotel after a night out. Absoloutely delicious kebab and the staff are really friendly.

Tremendo el sitio. No tiene lujos pero la comida es increíble, que rico y con precios que para ser Londres son baratos.

Je n’exagère pas dans le titre. Je mange souvent indien notamment dans les restaurants typiques à Gare mais je ne mange jamais aussi bien que quand je vais à Londres au Star Kebab. Le nom ne vend pas du rêve mais il s’y trouve bien dans l’assiette. Je prends tout le temps à emporter. Le chicken tikka massala est super bon, le riz et byriani avec le dahl (excellent!) et aubergines/pommes de terre. Les pains tels que les rôti et chapati sont excellents.

O lugar é simples e você não diz que vai comer um dos melhores kebabs da vida ao entrar lá! É barato e delicioso, super recomendado!

We stayed in a hotel nearby and went uptown to look at the Christmas lights. On the way back we found that a lot of eateries had closed. this place wasn't and since we were hungry we went for it and got a pizza and a durum kebab. It was really cheap and freshly made partially in front of us. The shop is very unassuming and not really inspiring or inviting, but we were pleasantly surprised that both items were really nice. We even liked the cold leftover pizza. We definitely preferred it to Pizzahut or the likes.

The food is good and have a wide variety to choose from. The staff are friendly and is quick service.

Having read some of the reviews of this place, we decided to give it a go for dinner. Regrettably, having eaten kebabs around Europe, this was easily the most disappointing one that we've had. The meat was dry and any lack of taste was apparently attempted to cover up through copious amounts of sauce.

Había vivido en Londres durante tres años y volvimos a Seattle. Vine aquí para una visita y deseando una buena comida india y encontré este lugar. Era tan maravilloso. La comida era extraordinaria y el personal. Ellos tratan a todos como familia y se puede decir que están orgullosos de su comida. Volvimos por la noche siguiente y se acordaban de nosotros y nos recibió muy cálidamente. Recomiendo este restaurante a todo el mundo. Realmente el mejor!

After eating here a few times I was disgusted to read this establishment had been fined £34,000 for hygiene offences,a total betrayal of the general public & its regulars.Eat here at your peril.

Ordered a mixed kebab with pita bread, can't believe there are so many meat & veggies inside, the portion is enormous! Garlic mayo is very delicious, and the green chili pickles, love it! Staff are very friendly, will definitely go back again.

Popped in for a late night snack after a day of trekking round London.Massive choice of dishes on offer from Curries, to Kebabs and Burgers.We opted for the chicken kebab, with optional sauces on the side as you can never be too sure how spicy/bland these will be (and besides, my wife was in hotel and if I'd got the sauce all over and it was too hot, well.......)Staff serving were super friendly and helpful, food was really nice, with the sauces being just right (for me anyway).Thoroughly recommend.

We popped in here for a late night snack, wow the kebab was a meal for two, lovely and fresh and so tasty, the girls serving were lovely and friendly and very helpful for a novice diner, would love to visit again

This is by far the worst ever kebab house i have ever been unfortunate enough to visit. The 'bread' was thick and tasteless and the filling was also cold and tasteless. The only thing that was good (from the owners perspective) was the price...... ridiculously high!Avoid this place.

It was a delight to eat such delicious food in a faily incocuous looking establishment. We were greated warmly and given to make our selection (there is so much choice!). We ordered kebabs and curry and we are all very pleasantly suprised at the quality and quantity of the food. I would really recommend stopping here and having a feast.

Some really delicious, pre-made Indian food. For my taste the seasoning, saltiness, and spiciness were just right. This little hole in the wall was a true delight.

It may not be the sort of place you want to take your other half to on date night if fancy interiors is what you're after. But if you are looking for a real good curry, then there's no better place in Earl's Court. Decent prices, huge portions and most importantly, epic authentic curries it's a wonder why people even bother with places like Masala Zone down the road. Unless it is fancy interiors you're after of course.I have been going to this place for the better part of 6 years. Granted I only ever order their Keema (which I've yet to find one that rivals this one), but you'll see from the other reviews their other curries are just as good.Their owner Zahoor is also a stand-up dude, very friendly to all his customers, regular and new.Definitely recommend a visit to grab a takeaway.

I've been going to this place on and off for the last 30 years through thick and thin. Food always tastes good and open late which in London now isn't such a strange thing but when I first started going it was a huge advantage. It's nothing fancy, it's good regular food that does the job at still reasonable prices. Friendly and helpful service always too.

After almost a day of traveling and arriving at past 10pm, we were hungry and wanted good food. We chanced upon Star Kebab and had some curry. The servings are generous and the food tasted quite good. Price was very reasonable too and the staff was helpful.

I visited star kebab first time in six months I have been coming here 20 years plus so I arrived quite late was after 1 am sate kebab has been here for decades it was once very very popular but the whole of Earle's court road was dead . The shop was empty and from the way the manager who seemed to be ready to close maybe this is not a fair review but I always base my review on the truth simple as that as it was closing the chose was limited as most of the items had finished what was left was mainly from a long time ago few hours at least. I ordered a mild chicken curry and rice and I wanted a nan they didn't have any but had a chappati so I had one of them and a bottle of water the food I had to say was of poor quality and I honestly think the manager should have given me a discount as they were going to through the food away anyway but they charged me a full price which was £9.30 quite a lot by my standards especially for a poor end of the night chicken curry the meat looked like it was poor quality too so to say that I had to throw away half the curry I would say giving them two stars might be generous but I have been coming here years and the food is normally good but all it takes is one bad experience that can put you off for good. As to say I won't be recommending this place to anyone in future is an understatement.. I will in future think carefully before entering this place which I used to hold a grate value for !!

I Was wondering around at 1030 pm one night looking for food as my hotel was nearby. Found this place, ordered the chicken donor kebab - it was very good. I ordered small as wasnt sure what it would be like, wish I had gone for the large!

The large kebabs here are a meal and a half in itself and the price point definitely makes it worth while. The owner of the store was more than helpful and one of the friendliest places we have been in London. We visited the shop 3 days in a row (also had a great curry)and we're not disappointed. Would 10/10 recommend.

One must get really hungry to enjoy a lamb doner kebab at Star Kebab. The guy at the counter is really friendly and assist all his customers with good recommendations. I have decided to order a lamb kebab with pita bread, garlic mayo, house-made chilli sauce and green pickle chilli. Verdict?? Yummylicious! Highly recommended. I shall be back soon.

I have been living in Earl's Court for two years, was in London where I discovered the middle east food and I will never forget this place. The food is amazing, real home made food. The taste, the spices, the price is just great. It surprised me when I discovered it in 2001, and since then there's no travel to London where I don't go to enjoy their wonderfulls curries.I am very happy that's still there.

Inexpensive, tasty food and a variety of choices. We discovered this place early one evening. The place was deserted but we decided to take our chances. The food was really good. We tried the chicken biryanis and two of the other curries and were pleasantly surprised. We went back twice more during our visit to London (from Wash.DC). Both times were later in the evening when the place was buzzing with people from the nearby pubs. Both return trips were for the biryani. Excellent food at a reasonable price....

I enjoyed a FINE chicken biryani at this restaurant. The portion was generous and the spice content was plentiful. Flavours were rich and the food was nice and hot. I enjoyed the meal sitting at the counter in the restaurant.

If you are i need of some decent rice and curry this is a good place to go. Great service annd the food is good compared to the price. Nice selection of other food as well

We arrived in London after a long trip from the States. After getting into flat, we walked down towards Earls Gate tube station and chose this restaurant for our dinner. So happy we did! Great food. The man (owner?) was a wonderful conversationalist and warmly greeted us to London. A little chat about American politics bonded us as well. Recommend!

Been a couple of times and never had anything decent im afraid. Staff dont seem to care, and the food just sits there in the counter. If you want a kebab in earls court, go tonthe other side of earls court tube

The kebab & curry shop was perfectly situated at the end of the road we were staying in, it doesn't look much when you enter but there is plenty of curry and meats on display to choose from. It has notices stating it is the best kebab shop in the area and I think this probably true, there were Indian families who had travelled across London just to get food from here. The owner was polite and helpful and remembered us when we went for a second visit. The food was well cooked and the salads were fresh. It is open until 2am every night. You can sit in on stools or take away but there are no tables.

Hungry and left happy. Great kebabs and friendly staff and great experience. Staff keen to welcome and share your experiences. Very good kebabs

Stay away if possible. The food is nothing special for the price they charge. They'll charge a Pound for a spoonful of extra gravy. There are better curry shops around

Reasonable prices for take away. Chicken curry was excellent! Open late, which is great for people who are weary from walking around the city all day and just wants a quiet take away dinner in their hotel room. Conveniently located near the Earl's Court tube. I loved it so much, I ate there twice during my brief stay in London.

This place makes great curry and uses Halal meat, I have eaten here and had take away many time over the past few years. It reminds me of being back in the middle east as a child the food is great the service is always friendly. Nan breads are good and taste like they have been cook on the side of a real oven.

Found this place late at night & we were glad we stepped in! Owner was delightful and helped us pick the best food (LOVED the chicken tikka & chicken biriyani dishes). He gave us huge servings and served them with fresh naan. We stayed to eat and he chatted with us about the restaurant's history. The food was SO GOOD -- I will definitely go back next time I'm in London. While we were there, there was another American who traveled frequently to London & stops at this restaurant every time he visits!

A variety of curries prepared for either take away or quick in house eating. This formally very popular place is fast loosing its place due to the pre prepared curries standing for long periods of time before they are sold. Some of the curries have a mass of oil floating with the prepared in the warming containers. Prices are high due to the proximity of this outlet which is close to the entrance (2 blocks away) of Earls Court station.
