Went to the St Olaf Golf Hotel for an early evening meal. First time we have had a meal there since the new owners took charge. Would just like to say how much we enjoyed the food, compliments to the chef and his team. The front of house are also to be complemented on their friendly service. Will definitely recommend a visit to the St Olaf.

Regrettably our first choice of restaurant for dinner was full with a wedding party, so we were directed to the restaurant at St Olaf’s hotel, a short drive from our B&B.. The dining area looked very tired and dated, and in desperate need of updating. The tablemats were sticky, and seemed to need a good scrub with hot soapy water.Our waitress, although friendly, looked scruffy, and tired. The menu was unappealing to me, but my husband opted for the steak pie, mash and veg. I just had a bowl of soup. The pie was a bowl of meat and gravy, with a square of rather anemic looking undercooked flaky pastry plonked on top. The veg looked as if they had been boiled for a long time. I would not have served this at all!

Inchmarlo Road
Room was spotless with a very comfortable bed. Staff were attentive and friendly throughout our stay at Tor na Coille. It was such a treat to be able to just walk downstairs and receive a first class meal in the restaurant in the evening. Plenty of variety at breakfast. Wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

3 Netherly PlaceLovely restaurant in the old railway station, beautifully restored. Food was really good and the cakes were exceptional. Nice atmosphere and we weren't rushed to eat and move on, which makes a change in this rush rush world we live in.

5 Bridge SquareWe ended up in the Table de Hote part of the building which is split in 2. One side very expensive, limited choice. We were with a 6 year old, which should have been an indication that we were in the wrong side.... Other part of establishment would have been much better for us. Bespoke burgers, all the trimmings and a free drink....FFS. Much better value. We spent over £200 for 4 adults and 1 child. Make sure you book the right part of the establishment.... One kitchen serving 2 different restaurants, felt like we had been ripped off....the owner could have advised us better.
