St John's Tavern in Clapham last night was amazing! The vibe was so chill, the food was on point, and the service was spot on. Totally recommend it for a relaxed night out in Clapham!

If you’re looking for a pricey pub filled with yuppies and no atmosphere, then look no further than St John’s Tavern!! With such a rich and diverse selection of pubs around Clapham junction, I would give this place a miss.

We were the only people in the pub and we ordered the pie and chips and burger and chips. We heard the bell ring for services two or three times before the employee got the food and didn’t know where they were to ask say. the food came and we asked for vinegar to be told they didn’t have any! Food was luke warm and the meat in the pie wasn’t great. Spicy burger wasn’t spicy either. Pints were okay

Really don't bother, low quality craft beer (think camden, portabello, belleville etc. Wetherspoons offerings at high prices). £4.50 for a lime and soda (yep) 20 inch pizza was actually 16 inches (and £29), over 1 hour waiting. What could be a good concept made to be a rip off with low quality food, overwhelmed (but pleasant) staff and rubbish "craft" beer. The staff do their best but this is clearly suffering from penny pinching higher ups and poor ownership/management. Save your money for a real craft/independent offering. This place let's down an otherwise sterling high street. Might as well go to Wetherspoons.

Looks like a great craft beer pub, with about twenty beers on draught taps behind the bar, but several of those beers are formulaic big names that you'd find on the bar in any pub/sports bar. (e.g. Peroni) Don't expect anything Belgian-style, nor a well stocked fridge with dozens more choices. If it were a regular pub with this beer selection it would be a great one, but as a craft beer bar it feels like a con. Music is great classic rock and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Also the payment system is uniquely easy. I'll probably return if I'm in the area

Great atmosphere, beers ok, food appalling.

Seemingly great selection of beers, but three of the ones I wanted were off. Two of the bar staff were also very grumpy and the music was so loud in the back part of the pub that most people moved outside.

We went for a few drinks on a Friday night and a guy called Billy(ie?) Keane was playing a set. He lit the place up and everyone sang along - it was magic

Went to St John’s tavern after a lovely meal across the road on Tuesday. After spending at least £100 on drinks (which was quite low on selection for mixers as it were), another restaurant across the road brought over a small plate of tapas. Despite not even eating the food, the “manager” that night at St. John’s refused to serve us anymore and was downright rude, because the food was brought to us without even requesting any!!!. After spending so much money it was really frustrating. I hope she is aware that she has lost 5 customers permanently. Power trip couldn’t depict it any better.

What a disaster! Imagine waiting an hour and a half for a wings starter? This was after we had already finished our mains... Only to then be told that the wings were sold out?! Our burgers were fine (at best) and the pizza we received as compensation was good. Still, very hard to recommend this place. Kitchen and service need some serious work.

Nice pub, but website says they have gluten free beers on tap, but when we got there they didn’t. The person serving us wasn’t the most helpful either, as he spent the first 5 mins opening up before acknowledging and serving us. Was all a bit wired.

A really good brunch here, wasn't too busy on a Saturday lunchtime and the service was great. An extensive selection of beers as well.

Horrible evening. Female friends getting verbally abused by some terrible people in the bar all evening and the staff did not do a thing about it. They were told about it multiple times and witnessed it themselves, absolutely nothing was done. Really really disappointing

Manager and staff are nothing but great. One of my favourite venues in Wandsworth. Amazing food, great choice of beers and one of the best atmospheres (especially on a Friday night). If you are getting fed up with every other pub in london being the same old Youngs, then defo book in here!

An amazing selection of craft beers with all pints sold at the same price. (Makes rounds easy!) Great value for money and a great cocktail menu too!

‘The Harrowing Halloween’ I’d like to begin by saying that the pub itself along with most staff were a joy, they offered a wide range in n tap and spooky cocktails along with great decorations! But sadly the service i and a the party I was with which had booked was beyond bizarre. Upon our arrival when my friend inquired about our booking, we were met with a hard no. Taken aback by this, as the pub was not busy and we obviously had booked and had confirmation of doing so the manager on hand thrashed around his hands that we had not booked and I honestly have no clue as to why this was, if we were at fault in anyway I would not be writing this as I’m not one to call the kettle black but honestly, this managers hostility was despicable, the level of arrogance at our obvious shock at this display in a pub where we should be welcomed, he threatens to kick us out, we at no point raised our voices or did anything other then question where this assault came from. We were offered free drinks for one of our party because of this. If they had done this by accident , we would not have minded, mistakes happen. But to arrive at this or any establishment to be met with ‘no’ was so very strange. Needless to say I hope your experience is not like this. This manger later returned to our party in order to antagonise us more -in what world this man was trained in levels of customer experience I will never know. But it certainly wasn’t ours. I would like to say this pub was great. But sadly the manager as of October 2022 leaves us no choice but to make sure you avoid this establishment at all costs.

Best craft beer selection in SW11, exactly what the area was missing. Great staff, manager always makes us feel welcome and giant pizzas are the best. Cant miss live music fridays

Love this little gem! It's my favourite in the Clapham Junction area. Alway a good beer selection and supports local brewers. 5+stars.

Great atmosphere, delicious traditional pub type food and a large selection of beers.

Strong selection of local craft beer on tap, a lot more options than other pubs in the area. All pints are the same price (£5.75 in May 2022) which means you know how much you’ll be paying. The only strange thing is the decor which I think is meant to be a authentically and typically British, but comes across as a bit imperialist with a big map of Victorian British colonies, stuffed animals, etc

Perfectly pleasant new pub. Quite hard to differentiate it from others, I guess it has a fairly wide selection of beers on tap which is good. Prices maybe marginally cheaper than at other places but still pricey.

Fantastic new pub in Clapham Junction. Great staff, great decor and great selection of beers. Standard price of all pints is £5.75 which may seem a little pricey if you're ordering Heineken or Guinness, but that also includes a lot of craft beers which are normally more expensive, in addition to beers from Aus/NZ which are otherwise hard to find in the UK. Pizza from the same folks as Joe Public in Clapham Common too which is a great plus.
