One of the best restaurants in Putney! Such a cute and warm vibe, from the moment you walk in the servers are there to welcome you and the whole inside is set up like an old train-style with booths! Our server Sam was wonderful as always, and the food is fantastic. For two people, I’d recommend sharing a couple of starters and a curry each, if you want room for pudding! Food recommendations have to be the laal maas and chicken Karahi! The naan breads come in small slices but the rice portions are very generous. Overall would recommend!

Fabulous food and fantastic service

Our absolute favourite Indian in SW London. My boyfriend and I have sampled many a curry house and we both agree it’s the best one in the area. The flavours are out of this world, the meat and prawns are all melt in the mouth and the staff are so lovely and make you feel so welcome. Sam, our waiter every time we have been there, is all over it. He caters to your every need and the food is always delivered timely and with excellent service. The lamb chops are our personal favourite. Couldn’t recommend this place more if you love authentic Indian cuisine!

Easily one of my favourite Indian restaurants in London. Ketan, Sam and the rest of the team are lovely.

It's very British Indian cuisine. I really like the random appetizer Dahi Sevpur. The crispy shell, yogurt and slightly spicy filling are very rich in taste. The main meal is mutton and chicken curry. The meat is so tender and delicious. There are many options for curry, and the spice rice that goes with it is great. I personally think the garlic rice is average. The atmosphere of the whole store is very warm. I went there very late on weekday evenings. It is very popular in a residential area and there is even a queue. Every British person is drinking and dining.

I ordered through Uber Eats and it cost me £29 for just a chicken fry and mutton chops. The mutton chops were so oily and soggy, and the chicken fry had no flavor. It felt like boiled chicken with some color. Even while eating, I could feel that some parts were not cooked properly. This was the worst Indian food I have ever had.

My partner and I randomly came across this restaurant and thought it looked nice so we asked for a table which we were given. I have to say the service was very quick and efficient so hats off to them for that. We ordered our food and for me as an Indian it was hit and miss, the prawns were tasty but the chicken tikka starters seemed quite bland, there was no poppadoms given complimentary as there usually is in an Indian restaurant, also no chutneys were given with our starters as there usually is. The mains we ordered butter chicken, king prawn masala, raita, garlic naan and keema. I have to say that was the worst butter chicken I've had tastes nothing like it , too sour and too close to tasting like chicken tikka, the portions were not alot for the price, the prawns were very nice and the keema was abit dry for my liking. We didn't end up finishing much of the butter chicken as we did not enjoy it much everything else was finished. Overall I would say the chicken dishes need more seasoning and taste and should accompany with it some.chutneys as it usually is in other indian restaurants,poppadoms surprisingly have to pay for which i have never come across before and ive been to many indian restaurants (of course) ,but otherwise service was brilliant and atmosphere also.

Me and my friend just ordered a chicken curry and naan from this restaurant . The chicken curry didn’t taste good it didn’t had anything spices not even salt . And the chicken was not cooked well., we are really disappointed about the food .

I ordered a delivery the food was not nice, the chicken biryani had some large pieces of chicken which put me off totally and didn't taste great and the bhindi masala tasted of tomato. I called them a couple of times and the service had no issues, they were friendly and helpful, but unfortunately the food was a let down.

Sam A was delightful and the food was absolutely delicious. We both had meat samosas to start, followed by lamb bhuna curry and the prawn curry ( sorry we can’t remember the names😂) We will definitely come back!

We’ve ordered from Chook Chook many times before and have never been disappointed. The food is fantastic- the right amount of spice, gorgeous flavours and always authentic. Tonight we made it to the restaurant and the atmosphere was lovely - bustling, busy and beautifully decorated. Dishoom eat your heart out, we’d choose chook chook every time. I suspect it won’t be long before this is one of many branches.
