St Giles Cheese in Northampton

On a recommendation visited this lovely cheese shop in Northampton. Lovely little shop, with friendly staff and a fantastic range of cheeses. Ideal for the cheese lover in any family.

Recommended by a friend. We went to buy cheese and were not disappointed. Huge variety of local & French cheeses plus lots more. Friendly helpful service. Will certainly go back again.

My Son and his wife to be wanted a cake of cheese for their wedding and my mum rose to the challenge! We visited St Giles Cheese shop and they were so helpful and full of advice. The range and quality of cheeses are amazing and teams knowledge is fantastic I highly recommend this little bit of heaven in Northampton.

Been using this amazing shop since it opened. Easy to feel like friends with the owners who believe in what they are doing: championing great foodie service and variety in Northampton! I've been helped time and time again in putting together Xmas and birthday gifts as well as satisfying my own family's needs for the more rarified cheeses, alcohol, breads, meats and other produce at random times during the year. The scotch eggs are amazing. Used to love the game pies too, but alas I went predominately veggie a few years ago. And they're right next to the Northampton's specialist coffee and tea shop! What a combo! Just remembering the chocolates now too. Mmmmmmm. I noticed some other places trying to match their cheese selections after they had been opened for a while. But they have been leading since they began and continue to for good reason! I always recommend them without hesitation.

In the midst of a hectic seasonal period, the owners showed amazing patience and care in ensuring I walked out with great cheese, charcuterie (and epic scotch eggs!!!) and at an incredibly reasonable price. What an asset to a town rapidly diminishing in quality establishments like this one. Merry xmas to all at St Giles Cheese.

A wonderful little store with a cornucopia of first-class goods. Staff are friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Just bought a blue cheese suggested by the shop and it was divine. Sooooo tasty. It was a spanish blue cheese called Picos. These folk know their cheese. They are so lovely: you get such a warm welcome and friendly service. I cannot recommend them enough.

If you are a cheese lover then this is the place for you. Real Cheddar from Cheddar, gorgeous Stilton, wonderful Yarg. This place is a treasure trove for the cheese lover, so many varieties and a hugely knowledgeable proprietor. I thoroughly recommend this shop!

This small independent cheese shop sell only the best, fantastic range of local and international cheeses, lovely pies, meats and scotch eggs and to top it off lots of local beers and gins! The staff are always friendly and helpful. Wonderful place.

One of the highlights of shopping in Northampton. The deli has a great selection of cheeses. The trick is to know when to stop buying!!

Amazing cheese selection served by people who clearly share my love of cheese. Mine was a brief visit but I intend to be back there soon.

A Great cheese selection lot's to choose from if you love cheese like my husband and myself. New cheese that I have never seen before much better than the supermarket's !!!

If you like cheese this shop is an absolute must. As well a a super selection of cheese they have a great selection of speciality foods and scotch eggs and pork pies to die for.

Ive purchased cheese here on occasion for a few years and they provided a great selection for us to make a Cake of Cheese for our Wedding which went down well. Lots more besides cheese available to buy akin to the type of farm shops your see out of town so handy to have on your door step.

This place is a real gem, there is a huge range of cheeses, crackers, chocolates, chutneys it's faboulas. It's a must for presant shopping for my dad with the shop next door selling freshly ground coffee it's a perfect place to create a hamper.

Great selection of foods from cheeses to home made chocolates. I love their olives, cheeses and fancy pasta's. Slightly on the pricey side but lovely to go to for gifts.

A lovely laid-out store which is another gem in St Giles Strrets crown. Sells all sorts of cheese and everything else to make your perfect picnic

I come here as regularly as I possibly can, and have no doubt that If I could afford it I'd buy everything in here!

I had St Giles Cheese make my wedding cake as we wanted a "cheese cake". They were incredibly helpful in helping us choose what we wanted and all my guests loved the cheeses.

Next door to Blenders great coffee shop is this superb cheese shop ....not only all the regular French cheeses but rare Swiss, Italian and of course.. magnificent range of English cheeses ...also bought some local beers to complete the indulgent picture.

I love this place. Steve has great taste stocking up fine tasting cheese, meat, wine, beer, sweets, local produce. Get involved.

I've been using St Giles' Cheese since they opened, and up until the other day was not aware that you could review cheese shops on Trip Advisor. So here's a very belated review. Steve and Caroline have two key capabilities- sourcing the very best produce and offering the friendliest service you could wish for. The cheese, is rather blatantly, what they're about, but also charcuterie, wines, local artisan bread, sauces, pickles, crackers- all sorts. Key points for me are the range of local craft beers, a small but select selection of wines and spirits (Indian scotch whisky anyone?) and fine Belgian chocolates. Oh, and jars of traditional sweets. Go and have a browse, I can't believe anyone will leave without finding something they love.

It's the sort of place you can NOT just pop into for some cheese. It's much more than that, Stevie always has time for a chat, whether it be about cheese, the weather or the state of the nation. He's found me a couple of little gems like the Spanish garlic grater, baked hand picked baby figs (fabulous), and chocolate to die for He always keeps the shops Facebook page updated with new stuff when it arrives.

We've been here many times since Steve opened the shop. Always excellent service and an increasing range of foods & drinks of all sorts. Helpful advice is always given.

Great food here and really good value! We always get rose lemonade and veggie scotch eggs! Great for lunch! Oh and veggie parmesan is lovely

An astonishing array of cheeses and accompaniments. The staff were very knowledgeable and could recommend the perfect cheese to suit the occasion and personal preference. I could very easily spend £100s in there without breaking a sweat.

This shop is a gem in Northampton town centre. Its name doesn't do it justice because it's a treasure trove for food lovers and those looking for something really special. Their cheese selection is amazing - and they know all about every different variety.
