St George's Hotel in Conwy

Absolutely fabulous hotel, offers everything seaviews, friendly staff very clean and food marvellous. Big shout out to Andy on reception, great at his job and a credit to the hotel

I dined here tonight with family, and my mum had emailed twice in advance to request vegan options for me, having seen on the online sample menu that vegans are catered for here which is why she chose the restaurant. However, on being presented with the current menu tonight there was no vegan main course on offer, which was disappointing when plenty of notice had been given, and so we pointed this out as what they advertised online was misleading. The manager apologised without giving a reason why this had been missed, and I was offered a couple of basic options and so I went for the vegetable curry rather than spoiling our last evening in Llandudno and going elsewhere at short notice. The curry wasn't a balanced dish (no protein, such as any pulses in it) and tasted very ordinary – I didn't eat all of it. I was pleased that my mum and sister enjoyed their food, the waiting staff were very kind and helpful, and the seaside view was lovely, but as a vegan I wouldn't trust or recommend what their online menu claims, and sadly I won't be returning here.

We have stayed at the St George’s on numerous occasions. And always been happy but this week we went for my birthday treat. The service was very slow twice my husband had to go and ask could we order after waiting for 15 to 20 minutes. I ordered chefs pie of the day with creamy mashed potato and veg, what I actually received was chips with a pie I could hardly cut and in side was burnt pieces of beef no gravy which I couldn’t eat. I’ve never complained before but I felt this time I had to tell them as it cost £19 they offered me 20% off which is a disgrace.

Very good location, service, food without complaints.

We stayed for one night on the 18th February and had a lovely time. We traveled with a dog and had a room on the 4th floor, when we arrived there were two dog bowls, a blanket and a box with treats and a ball in it for the dog. Every member of staff we came across were very friendly and helpful, constantly saying hello and making conversation. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice, full English for me😁 We will definitely be going back in the future.

A great located hotel along the seafront. Parking I can't lie is hard work especially during busier times, you'll need to allow time to find a place to park if nothing along the road outside the main entrance. The hotel is a bit dated & the rooms do need some TLC, but the staff are all very friendly & welcoming. The bar area is unusual & you do feel like you are in the corridor but the staff again are very friendly & helpful. The family room is pretty far away from the stairs, lifts & main area which is a shame as it is a fair trek with little ones. The location is great for families, a few mins walk to the beach, many restaurants. So my advice is once you park up, check the signs and leave your car there. Plenty of places to eat, drink and relax. We have recommended this hotel to others & look forward to returning ourselves.

Went there for a Burns Night event. Food was amazing. Dining room was beautiful. But drinks very expensive.

Just back from a fantastic stay at The George. We took our dog who was warmly welcomed by all the staff. Lovely treat box, throw and bowls for her in our room. All the staff were welcoming, we had a lovely evening meal, the room was a good size for the 3 of us and we had a great stay. It was good for us to be able to take our dog which meant we were able to have a stress free stay and was much appreciated by us all. If the facility to take dogs continues at another time we will definitely return. Thank you to everyone at the hotel for a fantastic break.

Very nice place to stay for perfect holiday. Nice and clean rooms, very friendly staff. And ofcourse gorgeous views to the seaside and a little bit to the mountains. We are very happy that we choose this hotel. Highly recommend, definitely we will come back.

Christmas lunch at The St George. Never again! After two New Year Eve parties at the George (which were good) in 2019 and 2020 ( 2019 being far better than 2020). We decided to take the family for Christmas lunch. It was awful and certainly not worth£100 per head.we waited an hour between courses and had poor food. It was barely “.Christmasy”. Very few decorations on the balcony where we were put. Crackers on the table were mean and cheap, no motive no snap and very thin crowns. The canapays were served at the table not in reception and were long life catering pack with a teaspoon of chutney on the top - haute cuisine ! ( not) The sorbet course did not materialise the beef had not proper potatoes or Yorkshire pudding , the turkey was pre sliced by machine . Pudding was no better with catering pack cheesecake or two scoops of “angel delights “ and a strawberry sorbet , followed by one cup of coffee or one cup of tea. Petite fours were black forest gateaux cut into tiny pieces. All in all appalling for a hotel with such a reputation. Never ever going there again! Don’t waste your money go to the Imperial Hotel instead!!

Christmas Party - Food was great

Have had a very ery pleasant lunches over the christmas time the view was beauful as the food and all the staff were very pleasant and very helpful and all had a smile and a helpful word

Wonderful 1 night stay. Price was more than reasonable and the food in the terrace restaurant was amazing and good value for what you got. We went for my mother in laws 80th and they treated her like a queen. The staff were all very helpful and very approachable and the breakfast was fantastic. We will definitely be staying here again when we are next in Llandudno. The only downside for me was the bed was about 3 inches too short in room 400. I am 6"2 for context so other than that I am sure you will have a great time there.

A great bed. Fantastic night's sleep. Staff were lovely, breakfast was a little slow but it'd moved upstairs. I'd swap a sea view for quicker eggs every time.

Perfect for couples and groups of golfers.

The George booking team were amazing with us. We were actually booked with another hotel group who the week before our holiday for 11 people cancelled it. The George went above and beyond to accommodate us. The chef was amazing as we asked in advance for a meal for a very fussy eater. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal and breakfast. We found most staff very friendly and helpful . Reception staff were brilliant. We found the prices very reasonable for 4 star hotel. Very pleasant stay

Called in here for lunch with friends earlier this week (who had not been to your hotel before), after my recommendation. We were all very disappointed with both the service and the quality of the fare. We opted for sandwiches and tea/coffee. The service was poor (we politely called the waiting on staff to us several times to take our order) and people arriving after us got their order taken and food served before us. Come on St George's, keep up the high standards I've experienced in the past.

Went for afternoon tea. Staff very attentive. Food top quality as you would expect in such a Hughenden establishment.

Such a lovely experience at the St George’s Hotel… The top floor room with balcony was peaceful and delightful. The decor was ever so tasteful and the soaking tub so welcoming. Breakfast was delicious. The service was splendid! The St George’s Hotel truly enhanced my visit to Llandudno.

The abbeyfield knutsford society residents come here every year for a day trip. We have lunch here and the meals are truly delicious.

Really liked this hotel. Very classy and hardly any complaints....room was slightly small. But other than that. Fantastic. Good bed, treat bathroom and the location is fabulous. We have to be grateful that we can enjoy such hotels and how businesses will run this for us. Breakfast was delicious, although a little chaotic...I think management need to smooth things over. I had a really great time here, and westherspoons is only 5 minutes around the corner.

Just back from yet another amazing stay at this hotel. I just relax as soon as I arrive. Once again superb staff, food, ambience everything. Tony who greets you at breakfast just brightens your day as do all the staff. It's still our go to hotel always.

Has retained its' traditional 4-Star air, whilst updating its' restaurants and related services. Friendly, helpful staff. Excellent location.

St George Hotel what a lovely Hotel we have been going there for years always a nice clean comfortable hotel with friendly staff especially at Breakfast and Evening meals always a great choice at Breakfast of food full English Toast Cereal Fruit Kippers continental Breakfast it's help yourself if you require anything specific they will do it for you they also do a lovely afternoon Tea Jam Cream and Scones or Victoria Sponge or Ice Cream Chocolate Gatto on the front veranda you can also have a morning Breakfast or a Evening meal the rooms are nice and clean and warm plus it is located in a superb position right on the promenade front with fantastic views especially on a summers day 2 min walk from the shops and Llandudno famous pier plus you can get the bus to the great orm or even walk to the top of your fit enough or you can get the tram where there a great cafe and restaurants at the top of the orm and fantastic views of the Anglesey coast on a calm day you can take a boat trip out round the pier and back or a lovely trip to Conway to the castle, shops,and the famous smallest house in Wales definitely recommend the St George hotel and easy access to a lot of places in Wales by car or train

Absolutely brilliant. The gent (sorry didn't get his name) was really attentive, knoweldgably and stand out brilliant on reception. All Staff were incredible. Breakfast was one of the best I've ever had. Buffet hot breakfast. Room a little warm and couldn't open window because of kitchen fans outside. So struggled a little for sleep. But sure that was only that room. But still a spectacular room, really clean, very big and great value. Perfect location lovely views. Out to the beach and pier.

Well I booked this for a memorial anniversary months before my 4.5 hour drive up , and after paying for a room then paying to upgrading a room I was very disappointed what I was offered for my £300. My double bed was 2 singles pushed together but still separate as there was a massive hole between the the beds thisbwas clearly a twin room hence the 2 extra tables packed in the corner of the room, the bath room door didn't open with the beds pushed together and the window didnt open and the glass table was an accedent waiting to happen.After speaking to Morgan and explained the issues and faulty he moved me to a room I was expecting, brilliant and light not dark and dull as before, light and air with a view and more which I paid gor large bed as originally requested and a brilliant bathroom my.wifr loved and spacious we could sit and enjoy ourselves really wonderful room and changed my idea of the place. BIG THANK YOU to Morgan for making our stay an amazing one

We have been visiting Llandudno at least once a year for the last 10 years or so, and we have stayed at various Airbnb's and Hotels. Probably about 6 or 7 different places. I have to say that without a doubt, St George's Hotel is the best of them all by far. The location, rooms, staff and food are all 10 out of 10. It's the little touches, like the complimentary bubbly if we're there for a special occasion and the really lovely cleaning lady. I would also like to state that all the staff are so friendly and polite. If we have anything 'special' to celebrate, we always choose St Georges. Thank you so much for all you have done.

Had two nights stay with work and was very impressed. Lovely large bedroom and bathroom. Very good quality food and surprisingly well priced. All staff were very helpful with a special shout out to Andy at reception for a perfect and warm check-in. Great location right on seafront.

Clean room. Service excellent from attentive well trained staff. Meals were excellent, with the exception of afternoon tea which was "OK". Parking was an issue with very limited spaces. Would stay there again overall.
