Fab night as always! Extremely busy for Wombwell live... bar staff were fab x

Wanted to have lunch just to try a new place, but unfortunately they don't make food, it's a pity though because they have a beautiful setup, better than other bars around that area

Didn't have food but the atmosphere was good and drinks were lovely

Great pub, friendly staff, owner is always open to conversation.

Really good bar! Reasonable prices, friendly atmosphere, pool table and acoustic live music on weekends.

We had a private party here at the weekend and it honestly couldn't have been any better. The food was amazing and they catered for all of our guests dietary requirements. The staff were fantastic - Sue and Marcus were on the bar and they were awesome. Super friendly and helpful. Anybody in the area thinking of having a private function, I would highly recommend booking here. Thank you Vicky and the team for far exceeding our expectations and giving us a fabulous night to remember ❤️

We had our wedding anniversary party here this past Saturday, after booking with Viki, she couldn't do enough to make sure our food requests were met even making sure food from an old menu would be available on the night, she will guide you through what you do and do not need and on the night the staff were very accommodating and friendly throughout and very helpful. The food was beyond what we expected, tasted amazing and was presented very well. I would recommend the hiring of this pub for your private function as rates are very competitive for such brilliant service and quilaty of food, the bar is also fully stocked with a wide choice of drinks and well made reasonably priced cocktails.

Had an absolutely fantastic night for a private function. Sue and Marcus were amazing on the bar, brilliant customer service. So kind and friendly, couldn’t do enough for us! The definition of service with a smile. The buffet was potentially the best I have ever had at a function, the Mac and cheese bites were to die for!

Called in for lunch today that was excellent. Had the hanging garlic chicken skewers plenty of garlic. They were done just right with all the trimmings menu had plenty to choose from something for everyone. Good choice of drinks both alcoholic and soft.Sue and Dave the chef did us proud.

Called in for lunch today had an excellent meal. Sue and Dave looked after us really well. Enjoyed everything we had. Highly recommend it. It's open 12 to 8 pm for food. Come on people you need to try it you won't be disappointed.

Quiet for a New years Eve and unable to see new year in there. People were told they would have to go to Lockys for that, so we decided to go home to Celebrate.

Visited last Thursday enjoyed a tapas with friends. The tapas was well presented. Menu offers a good choice of tapas plus other meals. Worth a visit

We discovered this gem of a place today! We tried a selection of tapas and the pie of the day today was steak and ale. Everything was delicious! Generous portions and quality food! Highly recommend the Squires Bar! We will be back soon!

My Niece had her wedding reception here it was Amazing! , Nothing was too much trouble Vicky and her team are lovely and go that extra mile to make sure everything is perfect. I would definitely recommend for any special occasion ☺️

Called in for lunch and ordered the meat and cheese sharing board for two beautifully presented and generous amounts. Fabulous choice of cheese as well. The service was excellent nothing was to much trouble will definitely be visiting again

Visited with family for tapas. The service, food & atmosphere were all excellent. Even provided us with a high chair. Could maybe consider adding baby changing facilities

We had our engagement party here & we cannot fault it! The staff, decorations, food, prices, everything was perfect! We drink in here alot & come for Tapas which is always amazing but the party was such a good night! Would highly recommend not only for an event but for Tapas & drinks & also a fab bottomless brunch! 🥰

My son & his fiancé held their engagement party here on Saturday night and what a fantastic night it was. The buffet was superb & there was plenty of it. Vicky & All the staff were very attentive, friendly and just brilliant. Everyone who attended had a great time. I have to say a massive thank you to Vicky’s partner for giving me a lift home due to me being incapacitated with a broken ankle at the moment, very much appreciated & something they didn’t have to do. Thank you very much Vicky.

We attended a wedding reception here, and knowing we may be slightly over the limit, we booked an overnight stay as well. We, just to expand, being myself,o.a.p, and 1st wife of 35 + years, so not too crazy for us. That said, we arrived at 12 noon, and stayed way past most of the younger ones, till just before midnight. And can I say an excellent venue, excellent food, refreshed all day, also excellent choice of beers and lagers,(very well priced), and finally excellent, friendly staff. Our bedroom was very nice and huge. I completed my daily steps just going to the shower and back. Overall, you've guessed it, excellent. Enjoy. 😀👍

Everyone went out of their way to make the evening of our son's wedding a great success. They kept the kitchen open slightly later to feed our Spanish guests. There was an excellent atmosphere during our impromptu disco. The evening was a great success and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. A big thank you to all the staff.

The food was outstanding! I can't wait to eat here again. My meal was #vegan. I had a few options. The chef asked me what foods I wanted and assured me they where cooked in a meat free area. My family members all had amazing huge meat burger and sweet potato fries. Love this place.

Me and my husband visited last night - first time - for a meal. What a find! The place is immaculately clean with a really warm and friendly atmosphere. Jay the barman was absolutely wonderful and so friendly and knowledgeable, the locals were really warm and friendly too. We decided to go with Tapas and were blown away with the food it was to die for and so very reasonably priced. Nothing was too much trouble at all, the waitress was lovely! We did look at the main menu too which looked to have some fab burgers, if anything, I'd say that they aren't charging enough for the top notch food, absolutely superb, we will be back and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anybody. Food great, atmosphere great, music great, well done to Vicky the owner, Jay the barman and the lovely waitress (so sorry we didn't get your name this time!)

Cocktails were horrendous came with flies in not once but twice. I don’t know if they have them pre made but it really put me off my food. Restaurant is not how it appears to be online. Lies and flies do not recommend

Went for a birthday dinner with family and friends. Wasn’t disappointed. Excellent food and service. Excellent choice to cater for all tastes. Would recommend the burger and the garlic bread with cheese. Will definitely be going again

Went here for my birthday meal as we’d heard good reviews. We weren’t disappointed. The food was delicious. There was six of us and we all ordered about 4 to 5 dishes each which I would recommend if you want to feel full. The staff were lovely and the 50% off food on a Tuesday was an extra bonus. Will be going back again soon.

Lovely bar in the heart of Wombwell. Very clean bar. Great customer service from all staff. They pull a very good pint of Coors! Would 100% come back again, totally recommend this place to friends & family!!
