Sprinkles Gelato in Southampton

Awful! Hair in the ice cream Sundae and raw pancake which couldn’t eat, was so undercooked. Told staff who all just stared! Non existent customer service!

Horrible food not nice cookie dough like it uncooked , not a nice experience place not clean and staff slow as to bizzy chatting with each other

Went in at 23:45 and we were told there is only ice creams. I understand staff want to go home early but atleast have the decency to let travelling customers no you can’t be bothered to serve the menu until 12 machines weren’t broken they just don’t care the chap who served though felt guilty and was a pleasure to deal with management let him down, walking around with headphones in on the floor ignorance at it’s finest questioned him about 12 o’clock closing time and he didn’t even look up at me from what he was doing let alone give a response very very unhappy although the ice cream selection was good restaurant seemed really clean and Lots of flavours couldn’t fault nothing but management I’d describe the experience as a joke sorry but true

After frequently visiting sprinkles in Portswood we decided to try below bar. WHAT A MISTAKE! After waiting to be served for 10 minutes and deciding what we wanted we was then informed no hot food even tho they was open for another hour and a half. After deciding on our ice cream flavours we sat down on the only clean table. Another group walked in and was served waffles and crepes ! Will not be visiting this branch again very disappointing!!

Asked for the 3 scoop ice cream, what a joke when I said about the small portions the employee laughed and said it’s where it’s in a big glass, would definitely advise people from wasting their money 🤬

End of summer treat, spent £60, they were v.good, staff busy, conscious trainee! Sad to say the entire place needs a steam clean or referb. Our outing was severely marred when we visited the toilets & the flies!! If toilets are filthy it doesn't bode well for the kitchen area. Yes I spoke to the Duty Manager, I sincerely hope it improves. Date of visit: August 2021

What a load of miserable staff, seriously if you don’t wanna work, jog on! Not a smile, hello or thankyou, treated as an irritation! Hardly busy or rushed yet still just ignore you and walk away when you try to ask for something, I don’t understand why some people wanna work in customer relations who are so miserable, seriously though leave or get another job if your so miserable!

We went to sprinkles after a meal out with friends for desserts. I'm disabled so I sat at a table outside the folding windows that were open withy friend whilst our partners joined the queue outsidE as it was busy.a member of staff came out took glasses off my table and let in another 2 people (we thought this was because of social distancing. After 5mins queueing they shut the windows so I asked are you shutting soon to which a member of staff said we shut now? Well there was 5 people in the queue outside? We asked to speak to someone.and basically they said no one was left outside when she shut the door nor on any of the tables? Anyway we was basically refused entry. Said we weren't happy and said we would leave bad review member of staff basically said do what you want she dont give a poo

Given that we are in the midst of a pandemic you would think that extra precautions would be taken. None of the workers wore masks of any kind and hands were used to touch the desserts (a lot) without any gloves. Equipment was not cleaned regularly in between uses. On top of that, all of our takeaway orders were originally served as eat in and then transferred to takeaway boxes, I don't believe the workers were paying much attention. Attire was scruffy. Food was okay.

Having never visited sprinkles before, yes I know, everyone’s been there, no we hadn’t. It was good but very expensive and very very sweet. Walking in through the door we could smell the sweetness in the air. The knickerbocker glory was good and lots of fruit but so big.

Was on town visiting some friends and they recommended sprinkles. We parked and arrived at the above bar location to find they had no ice cream (guessing a technical fault) so we walked the 5 mins to the below bar location. Obviously this location was far busier than normal and queuing almost out the door. However it was worth the wait! There are places like this now all over the country but the difference between sprinkles and the others is that sprinkles actually serves gelato and not ice cream. Normal ice cream can be really nice but you can't beat the texture and flavor of real gelato! I chose a scoop of Cantaloupe melon as well as the cherry sorbet and both were amazing. The prices were comparable to similar places but to be honest the flavor and texture meant I really didn't care how much it cost, it was that good! My wife had the cookie dough with chocolate sauce and vanilla gelato and that was also really good. I would highly recommend this place and we will definitely be back next time we're in the area!

The deserts were good and arrived all together and didn't have to wait to long. Staff were pleasant BUT the table was very sticky and the establishment was grubby the toilets were rather disgusting, my hands were cleaner before entering. Needs some attention.

Had this desert thingy, can't remember what it was called it had cookie dough in it though. Never in my life and I've eaten many many deserts but this one beat me, was very very good though.

We have been coming here for three years since being at university and we are pleased to say that today we have been served by THE most friendly and helpful member of staff, Rodrigo. He is by far the kindest and loveliest person we’ve met at Sprinkles. It is people like him that mean we want to return. Thank you Rodrigo for your lovely manners and smile. Appreciated!

I stopped by for a coffee and cake whilst waiting for the bus. There was a good selection of cakes and prices were reasonable. Having sat in front of the ice cream counter for ten minutes marvelling at the vast choice of flavours I decided to take a small tub out with me, and it was very good.

On a hot day nothing better than a cool tub of ice cream sitting outside in the shade watching the world go by.

Excellent ice cream and waffles. I must say that there service and standards are much better at their Portswood branch. Ice cream and waffles are always excellent. The staff that served us in this branch did not seem as well trained. The ice cream was served from a scoop resulting in a smaller portion than Portswood branch where they use a spatula-like thing to serve ice cream in an Italian way.

Very rude man of a LARGER BUILD with a ginger/brown beard roughly 5ft 11 inches was on the till at 7:30 pm does not know how to talk to customers who are paying his wages properly !! Extremely rude and made my waffle unenjoyable!!!

we had coffee & a dessert here never got back to try the gelato though they all looked so good a very busy place on a sunny day

The staff didn't seem very enthusiastic and the guy cleaning tables seemed outright miserable and grumpy. Although a little expensive, the ice cream does taste amazing. Especially the chocolate brownie, it really does taste like one!

I Just stopped buy to buy take away coffee. I was served by Thomas guy From portugal :) nice And polite young boy. He was with some weird girl Brown hair she wear black uniform guessing shes manager. So unprofessional behavior with the way she spoke to me. 5 start for thomas 0 For menager :

If you like sweets, as I do, you really should go to Sprinkles! It looks like the sweet world! You are gonna eat until your stomach says stop. It's amazing, mainly if you're high you REALLY should go there. Recommend!

This place was worth the Type 1 and Type 2 Diabetes we instantly felt coursing through our veins with every bite.

Treated my daughter to a 13th Birthday treat, and Oh my God it's heaven.

wow stayed in southampton a couple of nights walked around and found this shop great welcome friendly staff let us try before we buy geleto ice cream lovely flavours i went for cherry on a crepe hubby went for toffee cornette beautiful thanks very much lovely place very welcoming everywhere is pink really funky well done

we visited Sprinkles a few times while on holidays, we took the grandchildren who thought it was great. lots of choices.

Very nice gelato. I had a great time with my friends. I just wish the prices of the gelato were lower as this is too much!

So we had dinner near by and me and 3 friends wanted an awesome pudding so obviously we hit up sprinkles . 4 cookie doughs , Reece’s ones and m&ms.; Custard and scoops and scoops of ice cream . There was non left after . All delicious and we will keep coming back for sure . Thanks guys and girls

When I heard that Sprinkles had added a custard menu, I couldn't wait to try it out! I've visited in the past to try their ice cream and crepes, but had never tried their decadent desserts before. The new menu features a lot of variety and had some great looking options, but in the end I opted for the aptly named 'You Knead To Try This;' hot cookie dough, hot custard and sliced banana. I was informed that because of the cookie dough, it would take around twenty minutes to prepare, so while I waited I ordered a strawberry smoothie.

Getting a little tired, my hubby really enjoyed his ice cream, I thought I had had better, very large servings at a good price.

I must have been to this place almost 30 times and ever time it's fantastic. No other dessert parlour compares. I have introduced it to my friends, university friends, boyfriend, family.... You name it. Every time I go down south I have to visit. I live in Manchester now and unfortunately we only have creams which is about a 3 out of 10. I love you sprinkles....

Vast range of flavours and additional bits and pieces. Particularly like the banana split. Price is expensive though. Declining somewhat in popularity as the novelty wears off

Good value products, very clean, and an enjoyable place to have a Cornet & Coffee. I would like to go more often.

What a lovely ice-cream parlour, lots of flavours, a nice seating lots of booths and open tables and a good atmosphere.

I been in sprinkles high street me and my friend we order the crepes the service was very quickly and friendly we are italian and there is work 3 italian guys very very nice must the lady serving us she's so cute and friendly i don't remember her name because was strange Zora and something i will come back soon because i love the crepes and staff aswell

Love Sprinkles Gelato! The décor is bright and lively, with lots of places to sit. The selection of gelato is great and there's something for everyone. You can have it in a cup or waffle cone, and you can add toppings if you want. The staff is very good about letting you taste the flavors. They also have a variety of other desserts if you don't want gelato. Prices are very reasonable.

All staff very helpful. Waffles were gorgeous, really great comfort food to be had. Waiting time was grand, very efficient service and all round very enjoyable

Bit of a long wait in not a very long queue nearly put me off. However, made my own sundae (vanilla, salted caramel and mint choc with cream and choc sauce). Was worth the wait and delicious.

No doubt they have good products but the wait this time was horrendous. We were literally standing there watching them do nothing, just the occasional look at the screen to keep up the appearances. Never again.

Visited Sprinkles with my son this afternoon. Both of us enjoyed the crepes and waffles. It was really yummy however it was a shame we couldn't finish it

We have been to the Sprinkles in Portswood several times so on this occasion we decided to try the venue in the High Street/Below Bar.

We can across this Gelato establishment by chance, it was amazing. It has nice decor, comfy alcove seating and a great selection of gelato. You can also go for waffles, pancakes and more.
