Springsteen's in Carrickfergus

We went on a Monday night while the restaurant was using the Government "Eat out to help out" scheme and we had pre booked a table. When we got there there was a line round the corner but the restaurant had our table reserved ready for us. When we were seated the young waiter got to us quickly even though the restaurant was full, when ordering he asked if we wanted the child's meal with the starters or main meals which was a nice touch and he explained the government scheme to us. The food was delicious as always and it's well worth a visit

Went here for lunch with our daughters and granddaughter. Good selection on menu and friendly service. Enjoyed the food we chose and overall a pleasant lunch.

Been here many many times and it never ceases to amaze.. This is a seriously good place to go... Food is top notch and the staff to match. 11/10 all round.

My husband and I went for breakfast and I was very disappointed I believe now that the products used may have been cooked from frozen the bacon was an awful colour the soda and potato bread were soggy and under cooked the only good thing was my tea which was nice and hot The staff were very pleasant and I did mention on paying the bill that I was very disappointed and the girl said she would pass my comments on to the chef I must add I have been here for lunch and it was lovely x

My family and I would eat here every few months and we have never been disappointed. Waiting staff are always very pleasant and helpful, menu has something for everyone and prices aren't too expensive. This is not a fine dining restaurant, it is an American Diner selling burgers, steaks, breakfasts, pasta dishes and chicken dishes. They have lighter meals and vegetarian options too. All meals are cooked well, tasty and portions are substantial. Our favourite meals include lasagne, The Capone (pasta dish), sirloin steak and fajitas, although their American breakfast and burgers are great also.

My friend & I regularly use Springsteens lovely coffee and plenty of it. Decent sized cups and free refills ( unlike other places we go and get a tiny cup and no refill ). Staff are very helpful and nothing too much bother we have pancakes and French toast and it's never any bother swapping the bacon for mushrooms. Other reviewers have mentioned the music and what I like about that is not only nice music but not too loud so you an still chat over it. Thank you Springsteen's

I think I am becoming a bit of a regular in here now, it really is that good.All round this place is so good, from the food, to the staff to the decor, it's just a great wee spot. Most recently I had a burger, I think it was called the Flaming Hellboy, this was epic, that along with some chunky chips and another side of Bacon Mac n Cheese, unreal, I have never tasted anything like it. My Mrs went for the Fajita, Steak and Chicken, she likes to try something completly different each time she goes, she loved the Fajita although she couldn't even get close to finishing it (so I helped :))All in all, just a cracking wee spot with really nice staff!Yas should be proud of yourselves!

We have a large family and used to eat here very often years ago, however we had a couple of bad experiences so it would have been over 3 years since we were here.Had dinner last night and wow! The decor and food were amazing. I had seared black beef fajita, husband had the three sliders and son had hickory burger.They were all delicious and served by a lovely friendly waitress. The sides were also yum and my fajita came with three dips and a salad bowl, along with sweet potato fries. We were given a free bowl of chips as the chef was cooking them in a different way and wanted our opinion. They were perfect.Will definitely be back, and the prices were reasonable

For just under £40 we got two mains and two drinks. Nearly everything on the menu is deep fried. We were in Ownies last week and it was cheaper and superior in every way. We only called in here as it was next door to the cinema. Staff are lovely but food is poor. Food arrived quickly after ordering. I felt sickish afterwards due to the deep fried food. Too pricey for what it is so I don't think we'll be back.bedt thing about it is the music. I remember going in years ago and it was great. Sadly not like that now.

First visit to the restaurant today. Always walked passed it or ignored. Glad we went in tonight, staff friendly, very clean. Menu seemed usual for the style of restaurant but when the food arrived (very quickly) it was amazing. Waiter was friendly and helpful answered everything we asked about dietary requirements, Gluten free menu, dairy free etc. Seriously great food. Definitely will be going back.

Had an excellent lunch at Springsteens. Would highly recommend the Club Sandwich. Delicious with Creole chips and sour cream & sweet chilli cubes. Very pleasant service too.

Great service, delicious food especially their desserts. Lost count how many times I’ve visited here, nice eatery you can’t go wrong.

We arrived at a very busy time, however, got the last table. Food was good, service was first class, I have to give credit were due, the young waitresses who served our table were so professional and courteous, accompanied by fast service. From arrival to departure had a good experience, we will definitely be back. One down-side, squirty cream on the dessert! Apart from that 100%Thank you.

I eat in Springsteens a lot. Probably my families favourite restaurant for a nice casual tasty dinner. Friendly staff and yummy food. Never had a complaint yet.

Brilliant meal ,well prepared and presented. Staff lovely and where well presented. We where seated straight away and there was a buzz about the place,, great selection on menu. We only had mains and it's as well as we could hardly move after.. it has recently been done up and looks so good.

Hadn't been into Springsteen for some time (after uncooked chicken last time) but visited it for early dinner. And can't fault food or staff. Portions were generous but not overfilling. Got the JFK grill between 2 and it was enough.

Breakfast is top but this was a first time visit for an evening meal and the experience was so so good. We will visit you again on our visits from Wales THANKYOU

Went this evening pre cinema. Was told to take any seat when sat down was asked to move as the table was "reserved" no reservation notice on table. ordered the cluck and turf. When arrived the as described on menu smothered in pepper sauce was very bland with minimul very watery attempt of a pepper sauce. I asked waitress could I have some more. I then noticed there were mo mushrooms on my dish and called her again to ask about mushrooms she came back with a small container of mushroom. Dish was bland sauce was nothing like a pepper sauce. I asked for bill and was charger an extra £1:55 for the sauce so asked to speak to manager. A young gentleman appeared and when I explained the dish had minimil sauce hence why I ordered more he agreed to take it off bill...no apologise. I then stated about the mushrooms and he said "the dish had mushrooms" I said again no it did not and again he said "the dish had mushrooms" I then became a little annoyed that he was basically telling me I imagined that the dish had no mushrooms. He told me to not raise my voice I said I would if he could accept I ordered radish that didnt come as described in menu. He deducted sauce took my payment then he apologised reluctantly. I have never felt so humiliated...someone telling me I was imagining what was in front of me. I have been to many restaurants and have experienced mishaps with meals that were apologised for...never been told that I had imagined what wasnt in front of me...DISGUSTED owners need to do some training in customer service skills

To be fair, the rest of my family were all happy with their food, and the waitress was lovely. However, I was disappointed with my order. I really wish I'd asked to see the menu again while I was there and checked the description of my dish. Instead I have just checked it now (on the website), and there was definitely something missing from my Hot Dog dish. I didn't want to complain at the time because the waitress was so nice and my 14 yr old son looked horrified at me when I dared to look less than happy with my food.

Came here last night and was really pleased with my visit. Staff quickly allocated us a table and took our orders and the food came out very promptly. We both went for burgers; the big kahuna and the firebird and they were huge. Absolutely delicious and could not fault any part of them. Would definitely go back. Lovely staff and decent prices.

We have visited this restaurant many times & the food is lovely. I really like their tobacco onions & they are happy to make me a no alcohol Strawberry Diaquiri which is so refreshing. My Fiance tonight had the chicken Caesar Salad & we were both surprised by the size of it! Next time I will be ordering it with a size order of tobacco onions

Service exellent, food.came out quick and server was very attentive and checked everything was ok. Menu had a lot of choice, I could not finish it all. Drink options are good as well. We will be back

We have visited this place on numerous occasions and have never been disappointed. The food is lovely and reasonably priced. staff are very helpful, in particular a young boy called Jonny. He is the most polite young man. He is very friendly and professional, an asset to the restaurant. Thank you for your great service. We will definitely return

Called in for breakfast as staying in the area for just one night. Excellent menu choice and all served promptly and hot. We were both very happy with our choices so what's not to like!

Recently visited with my family on a busy Sunday lunchtime. The atmosphere was relaxed and staff were efficient and friendly. Menu was "diner" food and was really tasty. Watch out for the buffalo funky fries...the sauce is really really hot!!!!

Called in for coffee with a friend, it would seem Springsteens is the only place in Carrickfergus that doesn't sell plant milk coffee. I requested soy but would have been happy with almond, coconut or rice but the server said they don't do plant milks would semi-skimmed do?

Hadn't been for some time but had lunch recently and can't fault it, great food and generous portions. Will be back

I go here most Saturdays for breakfast- always having the exact same order, however the price is never same.

Husband and I had just toured the coast and decided to come into Springsteen’s for dinner. Very glad we did. Service was very friendly, the food was excellent and tasted delicious. Definitely coming back here again before we head off home. Can not fault this place!

Not my normal spot for breakfast but as out that direction called in. Not overly busy, table straight away menu brought and ordered. Arriving with tea which was set down before me on splitting the saucers one had harden food on it, guy apologised and changed it, my order of omelette was ok if a little on greasy side, wife's scrambled eggs looked ok when I asked her all ok she said could have been warmer and left some on plate when I tasted were stone cold. Not greatest breakfast but definitely overpriced at £18. Will not be making return visit.

Well what can I say about your food ,,, just Wow ,,, got to be the best breakfast going ie the monster fry and the American . Very friendly staff and brilliant service thanks ... just one moan you need to get a better cleaner in the toilets they need to be sorted (gents) don't know what the ladies was like . Shame I only have a 4 rating the toilets let you down

I've left it until I've been here for a few visits before writing this review as I wanted to make sure it's been consistently excellent, which it has.

Myself and my 12 year old and nearly 3 yr old daughter visited this restaurant after a day out at fabulous Carfunock Park. I ordered aa vegetarian fajaita, 12yr old ordered chicken strips and chips and 3yr old ordered childs chicken nugget meal.

I had my second visit this month for brunch on Saturday and again it was a great meal with great service from the waitresses. So far I've tried their Omelette and The Sinatra Wrap and I couldn't fault either dish. We ordered tea which arrived perfectly timed when we were ready to give our food order and I don't even think we had to wait 15 minutes for the food to arrive at our table. I've checked out their Gluten Free and Vegetarian menu to bring my friends down to try it out, I must say Springsteen's has one of the best ranges on a vegetarian menu and I am looking forward to trying out a dish from their main menu very soon!

Been here so many times had one bad meal (long time ago) never wrote a review on the bad meal but have wrote a few on the good ones as it should be. Some people cant wait for that bad meal and never write about the good ones.

I am saddened to write this as I have visited Springsteens many times and have never been disappointed.

I’ve been here numerous times and the positives outweigh the negatives. For example the desserts are simply divine. I would visit, just for the desserts alone. Breakfast is always great. Some mains can be a hit n miss like the New Orleans bbq the chicken can be very dry, I needed more bbq so asked for another dip. Chicken stack could be improved, papa browns does it better. Prices of the dishes are not that expensive and the portions are always ideal. Also Great for kids.

We visited Springsteens as a group of friends looking for light bites and drinks. The restaurant was quite busy but we were shown to a table quite promptly by a friendly waitress.

Enjoyable American type fare; I had the three different sliders plate, it was fantastic. The only thing I didn’t like about this place is it was all booths, so my husband had to sit at the end of a table and feel like he was in the way. It would be nice if they could make some accessible seating.

We have eaten in this place many times, the most recent being on 13/01/2019, and on every occasion the food has been great. The staff are also very friendly and helpful. Excellent breakfasts and lunches, and reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend the club ciabatta.

Fabulous breakfast, with great service. The breakfast menu has a lot of selection and everything is clean pies fresh and served hot. Table service is fab, and staff very friendly.

Had an evening family meal as I was keen to have a decent burger & had been told and read reviews saying how great they were at Springsteen’s. Had the Powersliders to get an overview of the beef, chicken and pork burgers. All three have a predominant claggy flavour of cheese. There was little on the menu that didn’t have cheese incorporated so if you are a turophile then you’ll like this place.

We ate here twice recently. The food was tasty and the table service was relaxed with no fuss. Staff are friendly. There was certainly no rush between courses as the restaurant seems to be run in a very laid back manner, something which is a refreshing change from some establishments. Overall, good food at competitive prices and well worth a return visit.

The prices are a bit high compared to other places I’ve been but the food is great. Had french toast and bacon. Up there with the best breakfasts around. Staff are friendly too!

Always love going to Springsteen’s since I was a kid with the family, however, it’s one of those places now that my girlfriend and I would venture to if we are around Carrickfergus direction. Great choice and selection of different foods on the menu, staff are friendly and always leave feeling satisfied. Always would recommend.

Absolutely perfect for a Sunday breakfast after a busy weekend! The food is cooked to perfection and the staff are more than polite. Lovely little place to visit if you're out on a drive.

My husband and I had a lovely meal here. I had the foot long hotdog covered in pulled pork and tobacco onions, you also got a side and I choose criss cross potatoes. The hotdog was delicious and very filling. My husband had fish and he choose garlic bites. Def the next time I go I am going to start with dessert, cause just couldn't manage it this time.

Actually disappointed got a old Orleans’s and the bbq sauce wasn’t even bbq it was tomatoe sauce. Seriously they don’t know the difference, not worth my time.

They have a separate gluten free menu with great options including onion rings! The service is good and the staff are friendly. The food is really good and the portion sizes are large, I can never finish a full meal.

So my partner and I went to springsteens yesterday for some breakfast. I ordered the pancake stack and he ordered the monster fry. The staff were lovely and friendly and service was quick. The chocolate milkshake I got was lovely. His coffee was cold. Anyway, so when the food was brought out my pancake stack was sorely disappointing. The bacon was fatty and the pancakes were clearly just bought from a shop and stuck in a toaster. My partner thought his monster fry was okay but the eggs were fried and as thin as a sheet of paper. Overall food was disappointing but the staff and service was great and it was decently priced but we wont be back.

My wife and I had been here before so we called in again this evening. The crispy chilli chicken was fine but my wife's lasagne arrived warm on the outside but cold on the inside. The waiter removed it and brought another lasagne which although hot through was rubbery in places and parts were inedible. We pointed this out to the staff and they were very apologetic about it and did not charge for it but I would advise anyone eating here to avoid the lasagne. I don't think we'll be back again.

After a spontaneous lunch craving, my family and I jumped out to Springsteen’s, we were quickly greeted (and this warm and not too overbearing service didn’t cease our entire meal) I opted for the Sinatra wrap and my parents both opted for burgers. The proof of the quality was shown in the empty plates, great place for a good feed!

First time being in Springsteen’s, I suffer from an egg allergy and the staff were so helpful. Was served by Becky, who checked the menu for me to see what I could eat. Food was served promptly and was delicious! Highly recommend and will be back.

Found this by chance on the road up to the Giant's Causeway from Belfast. Breakfast was plentiful, tasty and well cooked. Free refills for tea and coffee too. Best cooked breakfast we have had in a long time

went here for dinner with my boyfriend he had the burger and chips with coke i had had the fajitas with french fries with coke we both had dessert we will defo be back! staff were really helpful

We arrived and it wasn't very busy, maybe only 5 tables. There were at least 6 waiting staff. We got our meal, and it was very average. But our table was right beside the front desk where all the staff are, and where they come out and in with the food, so they have to walk past our table each and every time. When we had finished our meal, we sat for thirty yes that's right 30 minutes, with our dirty plates waiting for someone to come and lift them and offer us a dessert or a coffee, but it never happened. The staff must have walked past our table 30-40 times, with one young guy, actually looked at our table three times and walked on, he was much too interested in squirting another staff member with the cleaning spray bottle. This other guy was cleaning glasses and cutlery, which was now covered in whatever was in the spray bottle, which to them was the funniest thing ever. Needless to say we weren't even offered a coffee, and we just paid and left. As we left, all the waiting staff were standing around twiddling their thumbs. And of course our plates were still sitting. Won't be back in a hurry. All new staff members and their customer service is appalling. Much too young and immature, and are giving the restaurant a very bad look.

What can I say, I have eaten at this establishment countless times since it's doors opened, I have quite a bias fondness of the place, but I am honest about places even if I love them dearly or not, so here goes!The food (for me) is always clean, you know, never greasy, never ugly looking, It's just always clean .... if you want a dirty, stinkin' greasy fry (which, admit it, we all want from time to time) you will NOT get it here, no, here you will get a delicious, clean belly filling fry .... and not only that you can get the Monster fry here, which is not to be mistaken with some kind of new age "challenge" breakfast, it is just an honest hungry persons kind of breakfast. I may have gone on a bit about the fry here, but seriously this place makes a darn good fry :-) As for dinner options this place has you covered, from the mighty sweet chilli chicken, to the gut busting burgers (chicken or beef) with the heavenly criss-cross fries as a side option .... my goodness I'm salivating just typing this review.But yeah, to round this up, I give Springsteens of Carrickfergus (I can not remark on the other branches) two thumbs up :-) Think I'll call round for breakie tomorrow now

Had an omelette with toast which was great. Very filling indeed. Top up of coffee as well so more than pleased with that. Our server was Becky who was extremely friendly and efficient.

I have visited Springsteens in Carrickfergus 4 or 5 times now and the food has always been great. The breakfast is hard to beat and they do a lovely hot chocolate.

Nice range of choices on the menu for any time of the day. Helpful waiting staff who brought the kids over colouring in sheets and crayons. Food fast and tasty and a great atmosphere in the restaurant

Wasn't too busy and got a table quickly after we arrived. First time I'd been for a while. It has been upgraded and looks more modern. Sat close to the wall that's got large lite letters, which was a bit bright. Meal was a good size, staff were friendly, I would visit again. As a second choice for this area.

Been here at different times of the day,for breakfast lunch and dinner on more than one occasion. Never disappoints breakfast is excellent wide range of items as is the lunch menu. What I most look forward to is the amazing weekly special alway something huge not just any old leftovers that the chef needs rid of. Was in on Friday night and had an amazing wrap can't remember the name..service is always fast and friendly. Clean and great music always playing. Defo recommend it. Can't wait to see what special they have in store next visit.

Great food, great atmosphere and brilliant location! Never had a bad meal in this place. Good sized portions and great place to take the children. Really looks the part since it's been recently done up! Honestly couldn't fault this place nothin is never to much for the staff! 5 stars all round!
