Food is good, but there are a number of issues: the self-order kiosks are often not working, and when working, there is never paper in its printers. Thus, once we place an order, we don’t get a printed confirmation. Also, the tables and WCs are NOT regularly cleaned.

was told to wait round at the door on my food being made. sat there for 10 minutes. got home to my house only 5 minutes away and food is freezing, staff also forgot to put gravy in the bag. Useless, better off going to the spar beside it and getting a sandwich.

Not the greatest experience, which seems to be par for the course with KFC these days, sadly. Disinterested staff, untidy, worn out furnishings, general sense of needing a full refresh. Presentation of food very poor, with some items missing; had to return chicken/burger as it was cold - staff not impressed. Sadly, cannot recommend.

Foods always been good I get delivered, some times they miss items.

We've had KFC takeaway a few times over the past couple of months and 9 times out of 10 the order is wrong. They always forget to give you something in your order or fail to tell you that they don't have what you've ordered but will give you something else instead. The food is just alright, it's edible but not enjoyable for the money you spend. The chips are terrible and they never ever have mash, and you can tell the chicken has been sitting for ages. Not worth the money at all

Only fast food place I know where they get every order wrong. Disaster of a place

Food excellent, but young staff members have no manners.

Went through the drive through after ordering online. Collected the order and set off home. Got home and realized that the burgers were wrong, fries were missing and a wrap was missing completely. Went back to the store and staff were so focused on orders and just eat deliveries that I felt ignored. After waiting several minutes I told the staff member the problem. I got no apology, no chat with the manager and when the order was replaced, it was still wrong ! While I was waiting another customer also complained about items missing from an order. Getting an order right is basic, but this place has gone to the dogs and seems like a rudderless, managerless mess.

Food was cold, half a tub of dried out beans, no toilet paper in the bathroom and the hand drier didn't work.

Food tastes like it's been fried in engine oil. Stinkin

Abusive manager and staff who ignore customers standing at the till trying to order and only focus on orders made from the self service till. The owner should sack all of them.

Dirty, order terminal broken, order screen broken. Better leave this branch aside.

Young guy working here, THREW THE FOOD IN THE BAG AFTER THEY MISTAKENLY PUTTING IT ON A TRAY! Another lady was waiting up after she got mayo on her PLAIN burger!

Have ordered 4 deliveries now not one of them came correct I decided to collect my last one not only was I and the other customers waiting 55 mins while the drive through got served straight away but my food had been sitting so long it was rock hard and disgusting I asked for a refund and was told we don't give refunds

Absolute chaos every time I set foot in the place! Ordered online tonight, to collect via the drive thru, got there and was told I'd have to wait 20mins for my food so I parked up and waited. 25mins later and no food I went inside and was met with a bunch of blank faces, no one knowing what's going on in that place. Disaster. Will be avoiding in the future.

Always friendly staff,place is very clean which unfortunately you don't get in all KFC these days,again a good reflection of staff and management. Sounds a bit daft that you are complementing a food business on being clean but that's the way it is in some places these days.

Very clean, helpful staff as I couldn't get my card to work. Staff came out and sorted the reader, then processed my order 👍

Worst service ever in a fast-food joint. Waiting ages while customers who ordered after us were long gone. The person out front had to go into the back to chase up our order.

Order was wrong and taisted like it has been sitting for hours

Went in one evening during the week. Placed my order and sat down. Delivery driver's were coming in and complaining about food missing. Waiting approximately 40 mins and still no sign of my order. I spoke to a member of staff. He apologized and said it wouldn't be too long. 3 people came in to speak to the manager after they drove through the drive thru and complained about the wrong meals or short of meals. The staff member apologized and said it won't be too long. Another one of the customers came in and complained. They had messed up his order for the third time and he was only ordering for himself and his disabled son. I had asked to speak to the manager but was told that they were busy cooking in the back. I told the member of staff just to cancel my order and give me a refund. He took my receipt £35 and whatever odds there was and tried to short change me by £10. I corrected him and got the full amount back. I left the KFC. Ordered by phone to the Cod House Carrickfergus. By the time I drove to the Cod House (5 minutes), our collection was ready. That's what I call service. NOT SURE WHAT IS GOING ON AT THE KFC. Don't think I will be back. Ps I will not mention the other occasions when I was short of my orders. Subway or Cod House. You can't go wrong

Called in today on receiving my order it was cold ask the girl new chicken to be hot she gave me the same chicken back i told her you gave me back the same chicken she said it feels hot too me the cheek of her won’t be back any wonder they are not busy 😡

It's as good as any KFC really, but the staff could be frendlier/helpful.

Took forever to order, got half our order told rest would be brought over. Both our chicken burgers were very rubbery didn't taste right so sent them back . Terrible food and service,won't be back

Who takes 40 mins to make fast food, but doesn't tell the customers that it'll take that long?

Not a big lover of KFC , but I will say this one was really nice. The staff were polite & helpful.

i asked for a specific piece of chicken in my box meal when making my order perfectly feasible with never any problems in this or any other store previous but i was informed by the employee that he will see what he can do and that he can not guarantee anything after checking my order he clearly did not bother when i asked him about it he replied we are busy.

V poor service. Other irate customers. Made me feel ill when I saw, through the restaurant, staff member gobbing outside! What's his hygiene like? Does he wash his hands?? Chicken seemed poor quality and skin was flabby, oily and not crispy. V disappointed but dog is happy. Stanley T Dog not happy waiting for 30mins for an app order that wasn't ready!!

For one in my many visits to this KFC it was fantastic. The party bucket and every single item was perfect and roasting hot. I hope this continues.

Not long away from this kfc, but spent a long time in it waiting to be served by a woman who wasn't acknowledging anyone in the place, people even walked back out which should have been a sign. however, we stayed and when we finally got served, she took my phone to scan the promo code then tried to charge us £17.99 for an £11.99 meal, there seemed to be some confusion trying to place the order so another member of staff came to help her. Once that was sorted the other member of staff took my phone again for the code AFTER the order had been done then printed out 3 receipts which she told me she needed to keep so I didn't get a receipt, after that she had to shout at the original server because she was telling the guys in the kitchen the wrong order. When the order finally came the server put it all on a tray and called us to collect it, she then had to take it away again because she had already been told our order was to take out so she had to pack it all. When we got it home the chicken had obviously been lying about and fried over and over because it was like boot leather & dry as a bone. You couldn't even taste the kfc flavouring it had been fried that much. In fact, what we could taste was like disinfectant off the chicken. someone needs to sort this place out because the people working in it haven't a clue what they are doing

First time I've had a crunchy chicken fillet burger, it was the previous days chicken microwaved

It's KFC, if you don't know what to expect, it's basic and it'll fill your tummy. Don't expect more!

Revising my previous 5 star review as although the food was good, I could barely hear anything out of the drive thru speaker due to some sort of noise in the background. I drive round to find out that a staff member has decided to blast some sort of heavy rap music in the kitchen. Very offputting. This was on Friday.

Food was cooked fresh and was hot when served, staff were excellent and very friendly.

Chips are not good and portions are miserable. Server was under pressure and was doing his best.

Possibly the worst KFC I have ever had. My wife got food poisoning from this place. Absolutely would NOT recommend anyone eat here. Staff are miserable and unfortunately the 'revamp' was only cosmetically. No change from how it used to be before as far as quality etc is concerned

Alot of tiny peices of chicken, no fries, have sign on intercom, drove 3 miles to get there, offered mash or beans, ordered via the app, disgrace to be honest, #no f's given

The nicest KFC anywhere and believe me it's hard to get a nice one these days! I've never had a bad or wrong meal out of here and staff are always friendly.

Two hours plus waiting on delivery for a large group via Deliveroo. No answer on phone. Never had service quite this bad, appalling. Clearly don’t need the business!

The toilets could gave been a lot cleaner

Feeling unwell but needing to eat we decided to order a KFC through Just Eat as we had a discount voucher.Placed our order at 6:15pm and it was supposed to be delivered by 6:55 pm….this was confirmed. Order was still not with us by 7:30pm….we had to go to the restaurant and the manager said it had left with the Just Eat driver and they weren’t responsible…..the driver delivered the ‘incomplete’ order at 7:45 pm. The order had only been completed at KFC at 19:28….on the receipt The manager lied to my husband re time of the order leaving and told us if it hadnt been delivered within an hour to ring them…..pointed out that they had not answered the phone when we called before my husband headed down.

For a fast food place, the meat it's quite good quality.

Got a couple of meals, I had 1 piece and the wife had one. If we had any more I think our kidneys would fail with the amount of salt. Absolutely poisoned with salt. Totally inedible. I would love to get it tested. Maybe new staff. Soggy and greasy too. Very poor.

Appalling service and clueless staff. Waited 28 minutes for one Zinger burger meal. Clearly the concept of fast food is wasted on the staff here.

Complete joke. After its revamp etc. You order on the screen an pick table service which never happened. Instead they stood behind counter & shouted your order.. very poor service indeed

Nice tasty crispy chicken fast service. I ordered on the SOK but pressed the wrong item when the order came I assumed it was wrong the staff were very helpful and added the made my Zinger burger into a Zinger Tower burger at no extra cost. Thank you very much!

I won't be using this KFC again drive through took forever and when we eventually got our food there was food missing that I think was paid for but I can't say for sure because there was no receipt pluss the food was cold. This used to be a great KFC but has went down hill

No surprises, all five in to a bucket of chicken. Dependable fayre for reasonable price. Pity about the well fed rat just outside the front door this evening 5/10/22

Horrendous experience on Thursday 29th September at the Kfc Carrickfergus. I ordered a gravy mega box at 4.99 and went home to eat it. A few hours later my stomach got sore and I started running to the toilet. Went to bed and within an hour I was on the bathroom floor vomiting everywhere for 10 minutes with hot flushes and feeling faint all the major signs of food poisoning. The next day I had to take off work and had stomach cramps all weekend still feeling unwell. Tried to contact the branch but don’t answer the telephone at all. When I think back to a few weeks prior sitting in the drive thru when I seen with my own eyes 2 RATS coming out of the rodent boxes and heading for the back door of KFC I should have learnt a valuable lesson to not go back. I will NEVER return to here again and urge others to do the same after reading this review. A complaint has now been lodged with your head office and the foods standard agency have been notified.

Food was good. Changing my original review as restaurant has had a refurb and looks great. Good service too.

Used to think it was the worst KFC in N.Ireland. Thought it might of improved with the new decor. I was wrong. Couldnt read the menu at drive through at night as lights werent working. Girl taking order sounded like she wanted to be anywhere but there. Spent £30 in chicken to get home and realise over half of it missing. No receipt so cant complain. Dont waste your money. Its still the worst KFC in N.I

Paid for ice cream but Ice cream machine wasn’t working so they tried to give us pineapple sticks as a replacement 🫣

Not sure if this is every KFC but they only do Pepsi Max which is full of artificial sweeteners. My chicken in my burger could have bounced back to the counter.

New decor and friendly staff make this a pleasant resturant. Food was piping hot and very fast service.

Good clean space just had a face lift looks well food good and friendly staff and good outside space and drive thru as well.

Bought 2 two piece meals. Cost £11 I should have just thrown the money in the bin. Chips disgusting, cold and tasted horrible 🤢 Chicken small and not tasty. We won't be back 😧

Has a chicken sandwich on Friday evening which i ate outside in the sunshine. When i bit into it the grease ran out of it. There was do much grease it ran over the table . Really disappointed

Ordered 80 popcorn chicken of the user eats app I payed for priority delivery it turned up cold when I opened the box there was 10 popcorn chicken and a bunch of chips this is an absolute joke when you ring up to complain they don't answer the phone I honestly wouldn't recommend

Just ordered fillet tower meal two tiny pieces of dried up chicken covering half a bap!!, a dozen chips in bag, very poor KFC, very poor!

Hapened today at around 5.30 Placed takeaway order, the girl behind the counter missed a meal off the order even though I asked her to check it was included 4 times. She then rang it through separately, and she didnt give a receipt for either so I cant lodge complaint via kfc as i have no store number or order numbers. The meal that was rang in seperately was set on counter after 10 minutes as a dine in meal & a good 20 minutes before the rest of the order was ready, when she realised that the 2 orders were connected there was no apology or offer of a new meal was made she lifted the meal off the tray and put it in the takeaway bag, she then also forgot the gravy and one of the ice creams with the order and needed to be reminded twice about them. There was no sorry and she just tutted everytime i needed to remind her about something had forgotten. Arrived home to find she had gotten order wrong and only given us a 3 piece meal instead of a 3 piece variety meal and needless to say one meal was absolutely freezing as it had been sitting long before the rest of the order was ready & couldn't be eaten

The food is edible, but not how I remember. It used to be the herbs and spices or the way it was cooked. Nowadays the chips are overcooked or twice cooked and the chicken has soft almost slimy skin, unedible. No herbs and spices anymore. And even the zinger meal wasn't the greatest either. The spice in the chicken that made the zinger meal was flavourless. I think I might give KFC a miss from now on. Colonel Saunders would turn in his grave.

food is fine but the fries are very scarce. I.e. not enough you get more from other kfc outlets.

Expensive for all I got. The order intercom is quite difficult to hear and the staff receiving the order doesn't like her job at all

Coffee machine out of order, only black coffee. No milk, not even little kiddies bottles. As I only drink white coffee and water, neither which were available...I cancelled my order. Thanks for nothing Carrick KFC

Ordered a gravy bucket on the 22nd and I am still unable to keep any food in 4 days later, I'm pretty sure I've gotten some mild food poisoning. Extremely miserable and don't plan on having KFC again!!!

The drive thru. is generally slow, for various reasons, on one occasion the speaker where you place your order was not working, for about 3 weeks at one stretch! The coffee machine appears to be permanently out of order. Orders are rarely complete when you get them home, it's like opening a lucky bag to see what you've actually got. Food is generally cold, even with a very short journey time. On the plus side the staff are pleasant and helpful, and I'm sure doing their best, and the food is generally good too. The fault appears to be complacency and lack of investment in the premises by KFC.

Had,t had a KFC since lockdown ended, thought I treat my self while stop over in Carrickfergus,bad idea,ordered a four piece chichen meal,chips were cold and soggy,chicken batter was hard and to crisp,off four pieces had two little legs,inside chicken meat was slightly white and brown,ate two breasts rest thrown in bin,later stomach felt unwell,clad I did not eat what was thrown in bin,has to say, won't be back

This is an amended review having previously given 5 stars. It has gone to pot over the last few months, the back end of 2021. I only use the Drive-Thru but the speaker where you place your order was out of action for at least three weeks, this caused long queues and delays of up to half an hour. From what you can see of them the staff appear to be very nice, hard working people. Having said that, every order I have placed over the last number of weeks has been incomplete when I got it home. Long delays, (15 min.), to complete an order after paying, leading to cold food when I got home, is not good. I know this is really a First World problem in the greater scheme of things, but the issues really need to be sorted. Maybe more investment in the staff particularly, and the premises, might be a start.

Last time there the food was not good. Very greasy and the floor was dirty and sticky as where the tables. Not impressed. Staff where friendly and helpful but not be back for a while

Asked us to park up, waited about 15 minutes, while others were able to get their food and drive away we only wanted bargain bucket and boneless banquet, nothing difficult!

Honestly a couple of times we have got from here and something usually wrong, gave it another go tonight and ordered through Uber eats, cannot fault the driver he was here quickly and efficiently but upon opening the order, 2 tubs of gravy was missing,, (paid £17 quid not including delivery so I wanted my full order) contacted store directly as couldn’t get through to Uber themselves, well got a number which said United States, at first girl was lovely then she started to get defensive, apparently they don’t do refunds but would wait and see if a driver came back to give the refund back or I could call out and get it, kinda defeats the purpose of getting a delivery, she then started saying she had no car to bring me out, this was not what I wanted, I wanted hot tasty food that I spent £17 on which may I had was not worth it!!! This was the last time I will give this place a chance, totally disgusted that I was made to feel like it was my fault in the end and still £17 down and still hungry!!

KFC yum yum then ya place order Some of the staff don't want to be there.And will not give you what you order. Complaints are just water of a ducks back

Not very impressed at drive thru....confused in/out ...sat 43 minutes in queue....couldn't leave...no space to turn, cars scraping past my car trying to get out....no speaker for ordering!!..but despite not being happy up to that point....served food very quickly after ordering 😑

Staff are friendly and helpful the store is very clean and food very tasty. The coffee is nice too.
