Spin Bar and Diner in Aberdeen City

If you want vinyl there is no other place for it! Thousands pieces, just dig there is so much! You will find something, so much its a great dig!

Spin bar is a great place in terms of the variety of nights and events - spoken word poetry evenings, gigs or DJ nights. These events have been a lot of fun and well put together (perhaps by the individuals hosting ?). It seems like a friendly wee bar, with great potential for any event, nice sized - cosy but spacious. Main complaints are that the pints are SO awful - very flat, usually with many options missing from the bar... Out of nine taps for example maybe only three are working. No Tennant's ! No Guinness! I'm always disappointed in the pint, and it's also not cheap either. One more thing - bar has been freezing last few times we've been there, had to sit with a coat on. (Never seen any food being served or offered on the bar - don't know if they still serve food)

Wanted to like this place we were told we could only have a cheap lager that taste like cold piss the place was freezing great vinyl collection though

Delicious cocktails, amazing service from the friendliest owner. Beautiful hidden little spot, a gem of a find. A great host, definitely worth a visit.

Record shop is really nice, great selection and some rare records available .Prices are good and they gave a great offer buying some of my old vinyls.

Went to an event for Nuart, but I didn't have any food.

Had my 40th birthday and it was perfect!!!

Visited this bar on hogmanay and was a real let down. There was absolutely no heating on whatsoever everyone kept their coats on and it spoilt the whole evening.

Lovely little bar with lots of events nice staff and good food and booze. Record store upstairs which is pretty cool, no event on ATM but there's a stage and mic setup so it looks well kited out to be a good performance place

I love this place, never anyone else in when lam there, which surprises me. If your into your music (vinyl) like myself you'll love it. Jim has boxes of vinyl downstairs and thousands more upstairs. A proper little honey hole, Have completed my collection of original Rory Gallagher albums now. Last time l dropped bye l got some Walter trout albums..GREAT...,..

I visited here on an open mic poetry night and I loved it. I'm quite an awkward person so I pushed myself to go out myself to experience this and the bar staff made me feel very welcome throughout the night. It was great getting to listen to everyone's creative efforts and the environment was cosy and friendly. It's great to see venues supporting creative endeavours

Went for the twisted vinyl night and had a great night. The atmosphere and decor was spot on. Great selection of drinks and upstairs is a must for anyone who loves vinyl.

Went to a comedy night. A drunk puked over my jacket on way to toilet. Staff should have ejected him earlier as he had been in toilet being sick and triggered the alarm in the toilet. We left but the drunk was still there. Will not be back.

It's a nice place, but their burgers need to come with the chips. Not separate. Also they were tiny for the money. £7 for a small Burger, not on. Plus they burnt it. Vast improvement needed.

Wide selection of drinks! Really enjoyed the whisky here, especially the Yamazaki.

First time at spin bar,enjoyed quick drink in bar,my kind bar,returned following day to check out their huge collection vinyl, purchased few albums,reasonable prices and all looked Pristine condition,can def recommend and will certainly return.

One of the most relaxed establishments in Aberdeen, catering for a wide range of customers. From football fans to tabletop gamers everyone is welcome here. The only place in Aberdeen I'm aware of that has continental style unisex toilets.

Central-but-nicely-quiet single-storey pub, with a record shop upstairs too. Friendly staff, great food (vegetarian & vegan-friendly menu inc' seasonal specials), plus regular live music / gigs.

Was there for a private function. Nice inexpensive. I wasnt penelised for being a non drinker.

A sensible little eatery, average nosh, but not exciting. Looks like it will be a great wee venue for a night out and live music ... The food was presented in a lovely way, but the pizzas were disappointing to our kids - could have been much better.

Alright place. Interesting atmosphere. Good selection of gins/rums. I don't understand why bigging up as a vinyl place that they don't emphasise it more on their DJing

Quite expensive without much atmosphere. Probably more enjoyable at the weekends when it's busy.

Great atmosphere and music. Friendly staff, we got there at 9:00 after the kitchen closed (8:45) but they were nice enough to let us have dinner. The veggie enchilada was delicious! Been here three times and definitely won't be the last!

I have been collecting vinyl for a while and have shopped all over the world - this place hands down had the best stock across a huge range of musical genres I have seen and I filled many holes in my vinyl collection from Jefferson Airplane to 90's old skool hip hop. The patron was incredibly friendly and offered me a free beer from the downstairs bar (haven't had that before!) whilst browsing. Also great value for money - no sense of being ripped off here to get that hard to find item - only downside is that I live a long way from Aberdeen but I vow to return - in the meantime they have promised to search out some of my wants from their off premise warehouse!

Outstanding , good food good prices excellent music and managed to bag a couple of zappa albums into the bargain .will definitely b back.you need to check this place out 😊

The place was empty when I went with friends on Friday night, but the service was quick if a bit stiff, the drinks were cheap, and the music was good.

Great food and a good atmosphere. Food is excellently priced. They are always playing good music.

I visited the place today just for give a try since it was "recently opened". After ordering a soup I realised that the bread served with it had mold. Told to the bartender and he said nothing, not even sorry, or worried for anything, he just ignored me. As it is a new place I would prefer better attention and quality on the food. Will definitely not go back!
