Delighted mozza have brought back their old menu along side their new one. When they stopped the napolitana Pizzas we stopped going and we were regular customers. Prices have increased and you have to pay extra to have the buffalo mozzarella added to your Pizzas but in all honesty it's worth the price. Beautiful authentic delicious Italian Pizzas just like you get in southern Italy where my family live. The chips were also fantastic. We will be back to being regular customers again. Staff are great and the restaurant is lovely & clean.

Used to love Mozza. Nothing to do with Neapolitan pizza anymore. Never thought you could make bad pizza, but they have managed to do so. Dry, crispy crust, cheap ingredients, overcooked. You get a better product at Wetherspoons now. Too bad. RIP Mozza OG.

Hopefully someone from mozza reads these reviews and realises what they have done before its too late. Totally changed the pizzas for the worse! Previously one of the best pizzas I've ever had anywhere, now barely a step up from a frozen pizza, which costs a lot less.

Used to be able to get very good Neopolitan-style pizza here but they've changed to a thick, oblong base with the main topping being cheese. If you fancy a thick slab of cheese on toast then fine, but I won't be returning.

Previously my favourite place in Aberdeen. It USED TO be well priced and delicious, so I'm not sure why they did what they did. I'm so upset with the new menu, the food caused me severe depression which I am still recovering from.

Food is crazy with lots of starters, drinks and pizzas selection. With new menu they r rocking. Need to mention the service which is fabulous and chef is brilliant. Last but not least desserts are very good.

This place In Aberdeen Union Square was quite the surprise. It's neatly tucked away in first floor corner... In the Mall. But can surely give a run for the city's best Italian restaurants. Awesome Food and Staff are friendly. Would 💯 recommend.

Used to be great but changed hands and/or changed recipe, because is now very average deep pan pizza with poor ingredients. Avoid.

What have you done with such a beautiful thing. This used to be my favorite pizza in aberdeen and now completely changed. Significantly more expensive and much smaller in size and far from what it used to taste previously. This is probably the worst thing happening in aberdeen after the cycle lane at beach esplanade.

Absolutely horrific food. Used to be decent, now it’s terrible. Head office apparently trying something out in the Aberdeen branch which is a shame. Clearly whoever is behind this decision doesn’t actually eat the product themselves, trying to find a way make more money out of a subpar product.

this was our go to for 3 years. it was easily the best pizza in aberdeen no question, the real italian experience. the menu has changed and the pizza is not even comparable to before. waste of £20, wont ever be back

Used to be the best pizza in Aberdeen, but they have changed their pizza style and it's now pretty dreadful. The dough really wasn't good and the pizzas are square and small. The prices have gone up comparatively also, it's clearly a cost cutting exercise. The wait staff were great as always, but I won't go back unless they change back to their previous pizza style :(

Good pizza, better than some Italian ones. They recently changed and now offer pizza by the shovel of which you choose the size. The dough is quite light and well cooked but I preferred the previous pizzas, also in terms of quality and price.

Mozza, what have you done! You used to be my go to for Pizza in Aberdeen, but no more. Your new shaped pizza with what tastes like different dough are nowhere near as good as your old round bases. The prices have gone up, but the quality of the pizza has gone down. You need to sort this…. I will not be back until you revert to your old style of pizza.

Shame they have changed the menu , pizza tastes like a watery piece of crusty bread. Whoever’s idea this was to change the menu should be sent on a if it works leave it course , it must have been to cut costs and nothing else.

The food was pretty poor, it tasted very processed and only a small step up from fast food. Although the kids meal was decent value, overall it was expensive and I won't be going back.

The cheese was the only redeemable part of the chilli and chicken pizza. It's a shame they changed the menu away from Neopolitan pizzas and are just basic square ones now.

I've probably eaten here (both takeaway and sitting in) around once per month for like the last 5 years as it served one of the best pizzas in the city (there are many restaurants/bars attempting to make pizza but most fall short), it was the only place to get neapolitan pizza, and it was good value. I tried the new rectangular 'pinsa' pizza last night. It was small and basically a focaccia. It is not a neapolitan pizza so the restaurant description of itself is now actually incorrect. It tasted okay but if I wanted a focaccia I would have ordered that. I'm not going to say I won't ever go back at all, but with this menu it's not the pizza restaurant it was and the city has lost its only neapolitan style pizza restaurant for the sake of a below average pizza restaurant (of which there are many others). Sorry for such a damning review as this was probably thought about for some time but I can't understand why you made such a drastic change to your menu. A few new different types of toppings etc to keep people interested would have done the trick instead! Or even have this style of pizza in addition to the regular menu. Hope it works out but fear for the loss of mozza, as I imagine you might lose a significant number of regular customers and not gain as many new ones in a competitive restaurant environment.

Mozza was always my absolute favourite but they have changed the menu and the pizza dough type and I am so gutted to say, it’s not good. The base is crunchy and holds a lot of grease and it felt stodgy and upset my stomach. It’s also more expensive now and they’ve changed the pizza shape to a rectangle which I can only guess is to save some money because it’s much smaller. I’d prefer it if they put the prices up but kept the pizza the same. There’s even a sense that the staff know it’s not great now…we were all but apologised to on the way in. Last trip to Mozza for us I’m afraid. So disappointed.

It used to be the best pizza in Aberdeen, however, after recent changes I won’t be coming back :( starting with crunchy and thick pizza dough (not Neapolitan anymore), through sizing of dips (portions used to be bigger), on olives (side) finishing…It’s sooo upsetting :(. The only good thing are 2 lovely ladies providing excellent service, as always :)

Great pizza but disappointing they don't offer anything gluten free.

This used to be a great and affordable pizza spot however now there's a new menu, the prices have shot up and the portions are so much smaller - I don't know if it's a new parent company or if it's just a change in style but everything has gone downhill. They add the service charge to your bill, which would be fine if the service was good but honestly it's a bare minimum kind of service. Last year I would have given this place five stars, however with the recent changes, two stars is generous.

I gave this deliveroo pizza 1* at first as it was small when I got it (pinza shaped 12" not round)... But it's delicious! It's also quite deep so smaller but with more topping height. Great authentic tasting crust, Italian flavor. So tasty, 5*. It was worth the money. Pesto dip was great.

Probably the closest you will get to Authentic Italian Pizza! No idea how Pizza express ever has customer given how good the pizza here is..

Possibly the best pizza I've had, it looks and tastes authentic and the size is really good. The dough is amazing and the toppings are flavourful. I've also always gotten my pizza quickly. Miles ahead of the likes of Pizza Express in the vicinity, even after the price increases.

The place lacks atmosphere, it's cold not only because of the open corner location. Service and food are ok, only one vegan option. We were lucky to get the January promotion half price of all pizzas, but we won't come back.

Wow!! Real Italian pizza in Aberdeen! And it's delicious! And the pies are huge! This is the real thing, folks. I only wish that I had asked for extra tomato sauce because it was SO good. Service was great as well. So why only 4 stars? The restaurant was unreasonably cold today at lunch. The seating (the bench at the back wall) was very uncomfortable. The pizza was £2.50 more than what's listed on their website. The music was very annoying (rap, hip hop and thankfully mostly pop) especially until the place got busier and started to drown it out. The knives were not sharp enough. And worst of all - they put an "optional" 10% service charge at the bottom of their receipt. Which I paid because I'm soft. The reason tipping is a thing in the US is because the minimum wage for servers there is £1.68/hour. Considering that the 23 and over minimum wage in the UK is over 6 times that amount - tipping should never be a thing in the UK. But, yeah. AWESOME pizza. 👍

Really nice pizza but every time it is ordered it is a bit of a mess in terms of presentation. Otherwise, 10/10

It was good but for me, the experience didn’t live up to its reputation. My friends and I booked to have lunch. There was a bit of a wait at the front of house before we got seated. A few items on the menu were out of stock, but this wasn’t mentioned until my friend asked for the unavailable items. I always think it is better to state unavailable items upfront. One of my friends ordered the focaccia as her main meal with a side of cherry tomatoes. The side dishes arrived first and my friend was nearly finished her meal before the rest of us got our pizzas. I found that a little bit strange as it wasn’t a sharing plate/starter. The pizzas were good quality and you can see the cooking process which is always nice. The menu is reasonably priced. I do think it’s a nice spot but I had heard such great things about it that my first visit just fell short of my expectations. I would give it another chance though.

Strange blinding lighting here with bad light ambience... Pizza wasn't to my liking, tasted a bit burnt, but maybe that's how Neapolitan pizza is meant to taste, I have yet to find out.

We had lunch with my brothers from Inverness, food and service was amazing and manager was excellent! Highly recommend

Pizza dogh was really good. But hygieny level very low. I see staff wich cameing in with them lunch, eat on the table ready change for start shift and just came to server ice cream to costumer with out even wash hands or spray the table them use!!!!! I think also for high level of hygieny the waitress shoud have hair tied and DO NOT TUCH them diring the service!!!!!! We was regular costumers but I really think that place lost a lots of point!!!! We wait more then 10 minute befoure someone came in dinning room for ask the our bills. A waitress speak in phone hight volume in different language so definitly not professional!!!!

Mozza is small Italian pizzeria very reduced menu, They make Neapolitan pizza. The dough is very good. Probably I would like that they widen the choice of pizzas. The offer of salads is good and of desserts but I’d like to see a bigger selection of pizzas. The employees are pleasant.

We had been to Mozza. Ordered 2 Pizzas. The amount of cheese and not much toppings on it,only dough. Not perfect at all compare to Pizzahut or express... Not recommended....avoid ordering special no 302 ..

A great spot to get an authentic neopolitan style Pizza. I particularly like going here as its priced very well for what you get and they use a sourdough base for their pizza which makes it much nicer than the surrounding competition.

Amazing, Italian pizzas. They were spectacular and very reasonably priced.

We went there at opening time on Sunday, and from being the 2nd couple in, in a matter of minutes the place was fairly busy. It was very hard for me to choose a pizza as all of them sounded delicious so I decided to opt in for a "special 13" which is completely up to the pizzaiolo to choose whichever ingredients goes on your pizza. And I was not disappointed! Delicious with a nice combination of flavours and textures I didn't really have a hard time to finish it 😌 on top of it the price was fair with a fairly quick service! Recommended!

First of all, we came to this pizzeria when it was quite busy. We had to wait for a pizza around 25-30mins. We were very hungry, my girlfriend received her pizza, but I didn’t, I specifically asked for extra mushrooms, but still 5mins after my girlfriend got her pizza I haven’t received pizza yet. Then the waitress comes in and understands my disappointment of waiting this such time, she offered free pizza on the house for the waiting time. I want to say not only I had free pizza, but it’s been amazing it’s been extra mushrooms, and I would say the staff is amazing. I was not feeling right after receiving very good quality pizza for free, so next time I will be in I’ll leave a good tips, because quality is really really good. Thank you guys for your hard work, I will be back many times!!

Really tasty pizza but incredibly slow service

EVOO - is Extra Virgin Olive Oil . Why did i say this at the start, we kept staring at menu wondering what it was , as most dishes would have it 😀. We went there on one of the bank holidays. There was a wait time about 5 mins. We were served by a friendly staff. Learned kids get juice and ice cream as part of the meal deal. We opted for panosso. I was expecting a small sandwich but what we got was a large sourdough bread sandwich. It was quite a portion and we had to take leftover home (they don't mind) . Overall for 2 person and 1 small kid the cost was £19 to give you a cost perspective . There is definitely lack in the the type of filling used (chicken) but there are plenty of other places to go. When it comes to authentic Italian food with quality ingredients which can be quite good for your body, this is a good place. We will be back for a pizza (son ordered it) it was delicious 😋

Great grub and excellent service

Sad to have to give a 1 star but the quality of the pizzas is too unreliable. Sometimes they're absolutely great, other times they are way too burnt. In the past I've tried to get in touch with the customer service when we received a pizza so burnt we had to throw away half of it, but I never managed to get through to the right people and those I spoke to told me it wasn't their department so they couldn't help me. I've also often put in the notes to please not burn the pizzas, but it's a hit or a miss and that's just not good enough. Again, tonight we had to cut off most of the crust and scrape some of the burnt area from underneath the base.

Pizzas here are delicious, I've been here a few times and any pizza I've ordered is tasty. The dough is light. My favourite is the one with ham and mushrooms.

The food was amazing and well priced. We waited for 40 minutes for the pizza to arrive (which wasn’t that long). Because of the wait the manager gave us our pizzas on the house! The staff really care about your experience and were very polite.

L'ultima volta che sono venuto avevano cambiato impasto e usato una combinazione di forno a gas e legna di qualità più bassa. L'impasto sembra migliorato, ma c'è ancora troppa mozzarella (di qualità non favolosa), troppo poco sale (nell'impasto), la salsa è dolce (di solito indica qualità mediocre) e a pezzettoni anziché passata, quando si raffredda appena un pochino la mozzarella si coagula e diventa una specie di copertura della pizza 'a iceberg' che è poco gradevole. Rispetto alla 'pizza' media britannica è migliore, ma è comunque un passo indietro rispetto all'apertura.

We won't hurry back. Service poor. Pizzas arrived before the drinks did! Pizza dough tasted great but the pizzas the adults chose were overly sweet although the kids enjoyed theirs. When the sides eventually arrived, we didn't enjoy them. One of them - spicy broccoli tasted really strange - I can't think of a better description - just strange. They did say the sides were on the house because they were forgotten about - fair gesture.

The lady who served us was very sweet (short lady with dark brown hair), attentive and helpful and the food was top notch

This is my go to pizza spot - pizzas are incredible, Neapolitan style, wood fired bursting with fresh ingredients. Vegetable pizza with aubergines, courgettes and peppers is my favourite of the lot. Took as takeout because of the lockdown and I think many other people had the same idea. Price is always very fair. You can get offers between £5-6 per pizza which is a steal!
